Staying Abreast with Oneself
Sunburst immediately regretted the unconscious decision to wake up. Years of being the caretaker for a rambunctious alicorn filly and then transferring to a school position had drilled the urge to wake up early into his skull (even when he stayed up late into the night working on studies and research, which was often). His internal thoughts were scrabbling about inside his skull, trying to remember what plans were due for the day to come, before he remembered that this was still the weekend, and he had another day off before it was back to reminding Gallus and Smolder that they weren’t loaned paper so they could use it for airplanes and/or kindling. Just maybe, he could have indulged himself and slept in, were it not for the fact that this was the time of year when the rising sun shone its rays straight through the window across from his bed and pierced his retinas even through the eyelids. The soft mattress and warm blankets called to him, his aching brain yearning for slumber, but he couldn’t bear to wait another hour or more for the sun’s position to become more forgiving.
And he felt strangely uncomfortable. There was a claustrophobic sensation in his chest. He felt like it weighed down upon him when he laid on his back, and as he tossed and turned into other positions it compressed, eliciting further discomfort and pushing him further away from relaxation. Something pinching into his skin as well.
So be it, then; waking up at an early hour with the rest of responsible society after all.
The stallion clutched at his skull as he swung off the side of the bed and rose into a sitting posture, a wave of dizziness immediately overcoming him. His chest didn’t feel much better, either, the weight now dragging him downward—it was as if he was trying to exercise by lifting dumbbells tied against his soft pectorals, which he was certain couldn’t be particularly effective for anything—and the pinching was still there as well. There was a peculiar draft against his stomach as he stood, seeping underneath the hem of the shirt he’d worn to bed. He wandered blearily around the room for a short time in an attempt to gather his bearings and walk off the drowsiness; it was mostly successful, but the weight remained. The circular patterns of his pacing mirrored the continued whirring of his thoughts.
He was forgetting something—some information that had been at the forefront of his mind when he went to sleep but was now buried in the furthest depths. It was important, he thought, surely.

Eventually, with a low sigh, he resigned himself to accepting that he would remember sooner or later; on a lazy weekend day, it couldn’t be anything urgent.
Then, in the process of taking his pajama shirt off, he was struck with the discovery of something strange: there was something underneath the cloth surface, extending ahead. It was a bulbous canopy that totally eclipsed all view of his body underneath, his stomach and legs hidden while he was standing straight. The weight on his chest was suddenly a great deal more tangible. He placed a hand against it, and his palm sank inward; it had a cushy consistency somewhere between a plushie and a balloon.
(“What the heck is this?” he had asked, and she had replied, “Well, your name is only one letter off from ‘Sunbust’ so I thought this was fitting.” Then she laughed in that haughty manner she always did.)
Sunburst pulled his shirt off and stared down at himself. He then scrambled around the nightstand next to the bed for his glasses—they were mostly just for reading, but he felt he needed to be certain. Even after blinking several times and pinching himself just to make sure he wasn’t dreaming, though, he was still looking at the same thing.
Now he understood the pinching: it was because he was wearing a bra. The lacy black garment, thin straps and broad cups, was a fair deal fancier than his usual choices of garb. There was something scandalous about it when he registered what it was—just seeing one would have made him blush, seeing that it was on him made his cheeks so hot that he thought they must be glowing.
Of course, a bra was meant to hold breasts—real breasts, not the slight mounds of flab Sunburst was used to seeing when he looked down. The globes which filled the cups of the bra were of a stupefying magnitude, overflowing the palms and outstretched fingers of his hands when he held them; he thought that they must be as large as his own skull, at minimum. The weight now made all the more sense too, as he felt them tugging on him even with the support which the undergarment provided to him.
(It was just a gag.)
With his mind clearing, though, there was something becoming abundantly clear to him. The pleasant sensation which came bubbling up through him when he touched one of the breasts wasn’t merely the result of the tactile feedback that came from feeling its softness. It was because he very distinctly felt the compression in itself, the squeezing of flesh, The endorphins which coursed through him were laced with electricity that inflamed his senses with an alien form of arousal. He traced around them, down to where the globes met with his chest.

They merged perfectly with his skin.

There was no distinction between the soft orange fur on both sides.
For once, Sunburst had to resent the fact that he was a pony of facts and reasoning, because despite how much he wanted to believe the contrary, the evidence only pointed to one possibility: these breasts were part of him.
“STARLIGHT!” He was already shouting before he had crossed to the door and thrown it open, dashing out into the crystalline halls of the castle. His urgency and panic were working against him, though; running so vigorously had the effect of making his breasts jiggle profusely, bouncing up and down in their lacy confines. That weight and momentum was throwing off his balance, and more than once he came close to teetering far enough that he fell over. It wasn’t that far to the room he was looking for, and it wasn’t exactly exhausting in the way he was typically accustomed to, but he still felt like he had run a marathon by the time he was banging his fist on the door and continuing to cry out “STARLIGHT!”
Eventually there was a dim rustling of movement from the other side of the barrier, and only then did Sunburst stop. He was prone to tapping on his hooves when he was anxious, a purely unconscious act, but this time he couldn’t keep from noticing as it amplified the wobbling of his bosom. “His bosom”—that very phrasing struck a chord in his brain, a combination that was so utterly baffling, so impossible, and yet here he was stumbling upon it. All through the interminable time he had to spend waiting, he was stricken with dual, opposing impulses: to stare down at himself in disbelief or to look absolutely anywhere else; to touch the pert globes, teasing sensation out of them, or to wring at them in the hopes that he could pull them off with sufficient force; to stay so quiet that his windpipe shut and kept him from breathing or to go on with his screaming.
He didn’t have to linger on that internal war for long before the door opened and a pink mare who looked like even more of a disheveled mess than he did emerged. Starlight Glimmer was decidedly not a morning pony, barely able to function without an infusion of caffeine. Her curling mane was completely out of shape, hairs sticking out at odd angles. She stood with a slouched posture as if the weight of the world were upon her shoulders and the loose top she was wearing hung slightly askew from her shoulders. Her eyelids were almost completely clenched shut, only a sliver of color visible; it seemed a miracle she was even able to see at all. “Subburst…” she said in a slurring, croaking mumble, “wha’s…happ’ning?”
After a flurry of thoughts going through dozens of different ways he could have approached this dilemma, Sunburst blurted out, “Starlight, I have breasts!”
To which Starlight Glimmer blearily replied, “Huh?”
“Here, look!”
And then Sunburst reached out to take the mare’s hand, prompting her to yelp as he pulled. Only for him to then freeze in place as the implications of what he’d been about to do hit him, inches away from placing another pony’s hand on his chest. It was a strange sense of violation of decency. He understood that this part of one’s body was supposed to be a private matter; what he was doing wasn’t much different than offering somepony to feel up his groin. On the other hand, it wasn’t like Starlight Glimmer wasn’t used to being handsy like this; he knew what she and Trixie got up to. On the other other hand, was it really the same thing when the breasts were on a stallion?
“Subburst,” she muttered again, “why’re you…wearin’ a bra?”
“What?” Taken out of his thoughts, he focused on her again and found the mare staring downward, still deep in the throes of post-slumber delirium.
“Izzat…one’a mine?” The gears of realization were gradually turning in her skull, buried within a fog of confusion. He was somewhat envious of the mercy which this provided to her in being free of the same panic which was coursing through him.
“St-Starlight, this is serious!” he insisted imploringly, feeling on the verge of tears as his desperation reached its peak. “I d-don’t know how this h-h-happened! I just…w-woke up like this and…and I—”
But he failed to notice how his grip was faltering, and when he least expected it Starlight Glimmer’s hand slipped out from his own and, without the need for his own prompting, prodded at his chest. Sunburst cried out in alarm at the sudden touch, eliciting a tingle that ran through his skin, and jumped back, jiggling, and Starlight Glimmer was similarly startled. Her eyes were opening, slowly, slightly, as she shook off the last vestiges of slumber. “Wait…is…is that…?” she stuttered, glancing between his chest and his face. “You really—?”
“Ugh, what is the matter?” The door abruptly swung open wider and another pony joined the fray. Trixie didn’t look quite as unkempt as the other mare and was definitely a lot more awake and a lot more annoyed. It was always strange seeing her without her signature magician’s hat, leaving her mane free and fully visible, though Sunburst was less sure what to think about seeing her clad in naught but a bra and panties. He didn’t think about what the two unicorns were doing in the same room—as mentioned, he was well-aware of their private dealings—but he immediately felt himself caught on the backstep, unprepared for dealing with Trixie’s brash and boisterous attitude in this vulnerable position.
“If the fate of Equestria isn’t at stake then you can shut your mouth and…go back…to…” Trixie’s incensed proclamation faltered and died as her gaze drifted lower, distinctly lingering upon the lace-girded mounds on Sunburst’s chest, eyes bugging out of her skull as her jaw dropped. “You…you really…oh…oh Celestia, you really…!” Her expression was morphing towards a broad, open-mouthed smile while laughter began to creep into her voice, much to Sunburst’s dismay and perplexity. “I didn’t think you were going to put it on but…you really did it…!” She had to cover her mouth as she broke down fully into hysterics, turning away, tail swishing behind her.
“T-Trixie, what…what’s so funny about this?!” Sunburst exclaimed, genuinely unable to grasp what the joke was supposed to be.
“Sunburst,” Starlight Glimmer interjected, and when she looked at him now there was a far greater semblance of lucidity in her countenance, “do you…not remember what happened last night?”
He blinked at her. “I…”
(“Come oooon, it wouldn’t hurt to try on just once, would it?”)
He looked down at himself—primarily at the breasts, which occluded most of the body that he was accustomed to. He didn’t understand how he had come to be like this, but he did know that this shape was familiar to him, evocative of something he had seen recently. It was pushing through the cracks in his memory, rising back to the surface after being buried in sleep and drowned in a haze of confusion and panic. His skull throbbed like the early onsets of a migraine and he grunted as he pushed up his glasses and kneaded at his brow, massaging the answers out of his brain.
(“Happy birthday!”)
“You…” Trixie just kept laughing while he spoke to her. “You gave me…”

“And the generous and beneficent TRIXIE has this!” Trixie announced cheerily with a broad grin as she handed him another wrapped parcel (even the wrapping paper was Trixie-themed, soft lavender with blue stars and magician hats). “I happened to see it while we were on our shopping excursion and thought it would be perfect for you.”
“Oh, thanks!” Sunburst replied as he took the package. It squished slightly through the layer of wrapping.
(In the vision of his memory, he was able to more closely notice the anticipatory grimace on Starlight Glimmer’s face amongst the ponies who were watching.)
Then he peeled the wrapping off and all he could do was stare, puzzled as to what he was looking at. He recognized the bra easily enough. Considerably more unusual was the cushy mass which it encircled. It was an oblong shape, two bulbous mounds which met together in a flat surface, their ends sewn into the garment’s cups. It looked more like some failed arts and crafts project than something that would be at a store (especially one in Canterlot).
“What the heck is this?” Sunburst asked incredulously.
And Trixie replied, “Well, your name is only one letter off from ‘Sunbust’ so I thought this was fitting.” Then she laughed in that haughty manner she always did.
“…I don’t get it,” he muttered, staring back
Maud Pie’s flat voice came floating in from the background somewhere: “It appears to approximately resemble Princess Celestia’s bust.”
“Wh-what?” he sputtered in further disbelief.
“It’s fake tits, Sunburst,” Starlight Glimmer finally interjected, rolling her eyes and sighing in exasperation.
“For the most ardent of Celestia’s adherents, it was advertised,” Trixie added dramatically, and she placed her hands over her own chest, “for those who desire to experience the full extent of her majesty themselves.”
Sunburst could only flush bright red at first. Naturally, as most ponies were predisposed to be, he had great reverence for Princess Celestia, and that was coupled with acknowledging her divine, superequine beauty. The factor that her immense breasts played in that beauty was one which most ponies were aware of but tended not to openly acknowledge.
(“Most ponies” didn’t include the growing movement of openly promiscuous fanatics who were enamored with the former Princesses’ drastic change in lifestyle. Perhaps that phenomenon explained why this item existed in the first place.)
“I…I appreciate the sentiment…I think,” he muttered even while he held the garment daintily and far away from him as if it were vile and disgusting, “but I’m not…sure I’d really want to…” He wasn’t able to finish the sentence, his thoughts too muddled to form the necessary words.
“Come oooon,” Trixie said while leaning over to nudge his side with her elbow, “it wouldn’t hurt to try on just once, would it?”
He looked back at her, muzzle scrunched up, cheeks reddening ever further.
“I’m not hearing a noooooo,” she chided, grinning wider still.
Sunburst finally groaned and replied noncommittally, “Thanks, Trixie.”
He looked at the cloth mass one more time while Trixie resumed her chortling. Surely he would simply go to bed and be able to forget about it come morning.

“Well why did you put it on, then?” Starlight Glimmer asked after taking a much-needed sip of coffee.
Sunburst could only throw up his hands in a wild shrug before letting them slap back upon the table. “I don’t know, I guess I just thought…might as well.”
“Guess you’re into titties a little more than the average stallion, huh?” Trixie mused, sitting on the other side of the table (and now wearing her hat).
“I’m into titties as much as I need to be!” At least, that was what Sunburst wanted to say. In reality, after stammering out the first syllable, he realized that huffily crossing his arms over his chest meant placing them upon the very titties which had gotten him into this predicament in the first place, and his voice died in his throat.
Trixie snorted at this.
“And you really don’t know…when they changed into this?” Starlight Glimmer then said, bringing the conversation back to the primary topic at hand.
“No.” Sunburst felt like he could say this with just a tad more certainty. He was sure he would have remembered something like that if he had been conscious for it. “It…must have happened while I was asleep.”
The peanut gallery commented, “You mean you went to sleep with it still on?”
Starlight Glimmer hummed to herself in thought.
While the door was open, Sunburst took the opportunity to ask a question that had been gnawing at him since last night. “Where did you even find something like this?”
She sighed and said, “It was Greymane’s Magical Sundries in Canterlot. Completely reputable establishment, I’m sure you know. The same place where I got my gift for you. We were just browsing around and…we saw it tucked away in the back.”
“What in Celestia’s name is a pair of fake breasts doing in a place like that?” he demanded in disbelief.
And Starlight Glimmer responded by mimicking his earlier emphatic shrug (albeit with only one hand, the other still holding her mug of coffee).
“That old stallion at the counter could barely see past the horned rims of his spectacles,” Trixie interjected with a scoff, “I bet he didn’t know half the things he had in the store. He didn’t even bat an eye when I brought it up for checkout.”
Sunburst groaned as he rose from his seat, his half-eaten muffin forgotten. Pacing around the kitchen only offered the bitter reminder of the remnants from the party the night before which were still littered about, yet to be cleaned up, another sour note to add to what had been a stellar birthday up until the moment Trixie decided to burst his bubble. He had once been anything but a sociable pony, too preoccupied with his studies to do much in the way of making friends, but that had changed when he started visiting and then fully moving to Ponyville. The party had been of a pleasantly quaint sort, largely occupied by trivia games with all of his closest acquaintances (he tolerated the repeated inane interjections from Pinkie Pie, who had come mostly out of necessity for organizational purposes and lingered through the whole event). His other gifts had all been brought back to his room already—a new mana battery from Starlight Glimmer; a brilliant yellow-orange topaz stone from Maud Pie; a box expressly delivered from the Crystal Empire courtesy of the royal family containing a dozen cupcakes from his favorite bakery and a card with relatively identifiable scribbles from Flurry Heart; a few more cards with well-wishes from some of the students of the school. It was a reminder of the new place he had in Equestria and all the bonds he had formed.
And now he—a stallion—had some of the biggest breasts he had ever seen.
“So what are we going to do about this?” he eventually asked.
“Pull really hard?” Trixie suggested unhelpfully.
Starlight Glimmer shot her a pointed glare before turning back to Sunburst. Her horn ignited and a teal wave of light shot out from it, starting at his head and running downward; he was startled, but he quickly recognized that this was a scanning spell. There was a faint glimmer of hopefulness in her expression through the veneer of intense concentration, yet as the wave of energy passed over his chest and continued down along his torso and legs, she bit her lip anxiously, that hope dissipating. “I’m…not sure where to begin, Sunburst,” she admitted after the scan was complete in a clearly pained tone, “there’s no residual effect of any kind of magic left in your body. These…breasts…they’re not like an enchantment placed upon you, and I can’t identify any kind of foreign presence in you.”
He blanched, the polar opposite sensation of the heat of embarrassment rising in his cheeks. “Wh-what are you saying?”
“These…” She came forward and jabbed a finger toward his buxom chest, just shy of prodding the pliant flesh. “These are not those fake breasts anymore. They have the exact same magical signature as the rest of your body. They are your breasts, plain and simple.”
Sunburst sputtered incoherently for several seconds, gasping as he felt his heart seize up and try to launch itself up his throat, before he managed to say, “B-but I…I don’t want…I didn’t want to have…!” He couldn’t panic and think through his exact feelings on the matter at the same time.
“I know, I know,” Starlight Glimmer said, sighing, “but if there’s nothing for us to disenchant then that means our only options are…a lot messier. We’d have to just…cast some spell that removes breasts.”
“Or go to a surgeon to get you a mastectomy,” Trixie added, still unhelpful.
“Trixie!” the other mare scolded.
“N-NO!” The shrill squeal of alarm from Sunburst made both of them jump. He crossed his arms over his front and clamped his hands over his bosom (as much as he could cover, anyway). Then a moment later he realized what he had done and he blushed once more, but simultaneously he couldn’t bring himself to drop his guarded stance. He tried to speak again to expound upon his feelings, but he found himself unable to do so—to form words or to identify what he was really thinking in that moment.
“Sunburst,” Starlight Glimmer said gently, placing a hand on his shoulder (pressing the bra strap tighter against his skin in the process), “I know…this is a lot of stress on you right now, but you didn’t need to worry.” She smiled warmly at him. “I promise that we’re going to find a solution to this, something that…isn’t terribly uncomfortable for you, so you don’t need to—”
“No, hang on.” Trixie’s chair scraped sharply against the floor as she stood and proceeded to saunter around the table to stand on the other side of Sunburst. Her demeanor had changed abruptly, no longer so glib and mirthful, perhaps even genuinely serious, stroking at the end of her muzzle as she thought. She had to lean over just slightly to look him in the eye, which amplified the effect of the cleavage which was peeking from the neckline of her loose top as her breasts dangled (there was some irony that, despite being more adequately covered, the two mares weren’t wearing bras). Her violet eyes made him uneasy, trembling, as she scrutinized him, though he kept up his attempt to cover himself. When Trixie wasn’t being actively loud and boisterous and abrasive, it wasn’t easy to tell what was going through her head.
That made it not especially reassuring when a smile crept across her muzzle again and she muttered, “Hmm…yes, I think I know exactly what you need.”
“Y-you do?” he replied breathlessly, desperate.
Starlight Glimmer seemed equally surprised.
“Yes, definitely,” Trixie said while sidling up next to Sunburst. She reached around him and grasped his shoulder, pulling with just enough force to cajole him into movement, swinging forward and around (away from the other unicorn, as if to assert some form of conspiratorial privacy). The act of doing this also mashed their chests against each other, side by side, flesh squishing into flesh, but Sunburst was sufficiently distracted that he (almost) didn’t notice. “You see, what you really need right at this moment isn’t worrying about getting rid of these girls.”
He stared at her incredulously. “H-h-huh?”
“Of course, what you really need is to make yourself more comfortable with them so you’re not such a jittery mess!” she proclaimed with a smile, plain, as if it should have been so clearly obvious.
“B-but I—!”
“Shh, shh.” Trixie tapped Sunburst’s lips with her finger. She had a devilish smirk now. “That’s exactly what I’m talking about, all that stammering, you’re not thinking clearly! We’re going to need to calm you down so you can do the right thinking to get yourself out of this mess you got yourself into!”
“You were the one who gave me the fake breasts in the first place,” he grumbled, but she didn’t acknowledge this assertion.
“Are you sure about this, Trixie?” Starlight Glimmer asked, arms crossed.
“Naturally!” she replied with a wave of her hand, “When have I ever steered you wrong?”
She raised an eyebrow and gave a deadpan stare. “I don’t think you want me to answer that question.”
“Of course not, it was rhetorical, clearly.”

“I still don’t see how a shirt is going to help me,” Sunburst muttered while looking down at his chest. There was not so much orange on display now, only a slight crack of cleavage peeking from beneath the collar of a light teal blouse. The silky cloth draping over his skin elicited a faint tingling which accompanied the bouncing motions of movement. He had his customary cloak on over top, out of the hope that the bulky garment might help in concealing him, but he wasn’t sure it helped that much with the way his breasts jutted out in front of himself; if anything, the blue drapes only served to frame them and make them more exaggerated.
“Well did you want to go traipsing around town without a shirt?” Trixie called back over her shoulder, walking at the lead of the group.
“…No,” he mumbled.
“I guess we should be considering ourselves lucky we could even get a shirt in that size,” Starlight Glimmer commented dryly.
Sunburst tried not to think about that. It had been embarrassing enough just from what he observed with his own eyes, but it had been called into stark clarity when he was told that his new bra was a size that wasn’t even conventionally manufactured. The fact of the matter was that he was now bustier than most mares he had met in his life. Starlight Glimmer was just above average in that regard, and her own shirt only lightly fluttered over the pleasant handfuls of flesh which marked her chest. Trixie, on the other hand, was considerably more curvaceous, in both her chest and her hips, and usually prone to wearing tight and revealing outfits for her performances (not while she was working at the school, mercifully). And yet it was Sunburst, the schlubby introvert, with his frazzled mane and goatee and soft frame and big glasses, who had the largest breasts of all. He wasn’t sure it was really his place to think this, but it seemed terribly unfair to the mares, and he couldn’t imagine how they, or any others, might think of the situation.
The trio of unicorns had teleported to Carousel Boutique in the first place so that they wouldn’t have to worry about public indecency.
(When they arrived, Rarity had been initially shocked to see what the latest development was, but then proceeded to take it in stride and good humor. Sunburst let Trixie do all the talking on what their plans were while Starlight Glimmer remained with him to keep his morale up. It had indeed taken quite some time to dig up anything from Rarity’s stock which would suitably fit him, but it took even longer because the mare insisted on picking out a garment which would be suitable for his palette. She bemoaned his own insistence on bringing the cloak with him, but at the time he hadn’t been willing to budge an inch on the topic of covering himself as much as possible. Toward the end, she had expressed interest in working on a more complete ensemble for him, but he declined—it wasn’t like he was going to be like this for much longer if he had any say in the matter. She had pledged not to make a big commotion about this development, although who could say how long she’d be able to withhold the desire for gossip. Fortunately, Yona had not been present at the boutique for her apprentice work; she would have shouted loud enough for all of Ponyville to hear.)
Now they were walking back to the castle on hoof at Trixie’s insistence that it would be beneficial for all of them to get fresh air, especially for Sunburst, so that he could keep a level head. He couldn’t comprehend how that was supposed to be the case when the mere act of walking produced a rhythmic bobbing sensation that steadily eroded at his focus. Not to mention that it meant being in the presence of other ponies, and every nervous prickling along the nape of his neck made him think that somepony was staring at him, and as the seconds ticked by the fuse to the ticking timebomb that was his composure was only growing shorter and shorter.
In reality, most ponies didn’t notice that there was anything amiss with Sunburst. While he was far from an outdoorspony, he had enough of a presence, partly thanks to his presence at the School of Friendship, that most of the populace was at least aware of his existence. Therefore, many ponies only saw his face and didn’t think that there was anything out of the ordinary unless they looked closely and noticed the particularly protuberant mass pushing through the fabric of his shirt.
It might have helped that Trixie was leading the group, drawing plenty of eyes with the deep cut of cleavage in her spandex top and the sashaying of her hips. Mothers already shielding their foals from the magician’s display wouldn’t have to ponder why that sweaty stallion looked like he was hiding a pair of melons in his shirt.
All in all, Sunburst was just about ready to lock himself in his room for the rest of his life at this point, with or without mammaries.
“Hey, titboy!”
Sunburst jumped and screamed and clamped his arms around his front, chest compressing as he tried desperately to cover himself.
“Whoa, hey, hey, calm down,” Starlight Glimmer said gently, placing her hands on his trembling shoulders.
“Yeah, calm down, titboy,” Trixie spoke again, sneering in amusement.
The stallion glared back at her, red in the face, swallowing the urge to lob some pejoratives of his own. There was something welling up in him; he had to assume it was violent anger. There was no other reasonable alternative.
Trixie continued to look at him, unfazed by his vitriol. She bore that thoughtful, enigmatic expression again, tilting her head to the side. “Hmm, you still don’t seem particularly relaxed with all this,” she muttered.
“No, really? I don’t look relaxed to you?” he asked in exasperation, throwing up his hands. He was too distracted to notice that there were now a lot more ponies staring at them.
“Come on, Trixie, isn’t this enough?” Starlight Glimmer asserted, scolding.
“Well if he’s still not feeling up to snuff, no, it’s clearly not enough,” Trixie replied with a scoff, “I suppose we’re going to have to take more drastic measures.”
Sunburst couldn’t help feeling a jolt of anxiety as the immediate reaction in his mind was to imagine the mastectomy again.
“Maybe something sweet will help you,” she then said, smiling in a more sincere manner. She held up her hands, making a show of displaying her empty palms, before making a few gestures and revealing a golden bit between her fingers. “Perhaps something from Sugarcube Corner, my treat?”
A distant, self-conscious part of Sunburst’s mind groaned in dismay at the idea of consuming yet more sugar after how much cake there had been the night before, but despite that the idea suddenly seemed immensely appealing. Maybe it was just because he was desperate for any suggestion that might turn out to work. “Okay, fine,” he replied with a sigh.
They started walking again—it wasn’t going to be far, fortunately, but they still kept a brisk pace. Starlight Glimmer, after giving him an affectionate pat on the back, jogged ahead to catch up with Trixie, leaving him to follow the two of them. He could hear them speaking to each other.
“Trixie, don’t you think you’re going too far with this?”
“Going too far with what?”
“Trixie!”
“Oh come on, Starlight, are you trying to insinuate that I’m acting with cruel intentions?”
“You really seem to be going out of your way to make things difficult!”
“Sometimes the answers don’t always come easily to us, Starlight, they’ve gotta be teased out.”
“Trixie, I think you’re employing the wrong kind of ‘teasing.’”
Sunburst didn’t particularly pay attention to them for most of the remaining walk down the town streets. He wished that he could do as much as he could to diminish the motions of his chest, to keep it concealed, but the reality was that keeping his arms clamped over himself was just even more obtrusive, more effort than it was worth. Reluctantly, he allowed his posture to loosen, letting his hands fall to his sides, to focus on continuing straight ahead and not thinking about any distractions. His bosom bobbed, just faintly, but he tried earnestly to force himself not to think about that, to will it to become just as much of an unconscious movement as the rhythmic clopping of his hooves on the ground. The results weren’t especially promising, but maybe if he didn’t think about that he could at least pretend that he was succeeding at something.
When they arrived at Sugarcube Corner, Starlight Glimmer turned back toward him and asked, “Do you feel up to coming inside?”
Sunburst internally balked at the idea of showing himself to Pinkie Pie and being treated to a “Congratulations on having boobies!” party, so he mumbled, “I think I’ll…stay out here for now.”
“If you say so,” she said, offering a reassuring smile.
“We won’t be long,” Trixie said while approaching the front door to the bakery, offering him one last glance before entering, “try not to get in too much trouble.”
“Yeah, sure,” he replied, rolling his eyes, before the two mares left him. He tried not to think about the vulnerability that came from being by himself in these circumstances. If he stood still and faced one of the walls of the building, it wasn’t like much of anything could happen, and nopony would be able to see the obstructive front-facing mass on his chest. It would be just like in grade school when he was constantly spending time by himself.
Maybe not the best memory to reflect upon.
Breathe in. Breathe out. Don’t think about the sensations of contraction and expansion. Don’t think about the cloth shifting over the bosom.
Sunburst pursed his lips. Why did it have to be so hard just to ignore something? At least Trixie’s shenanigans gave him an excuse to put his mind on different matters. He’d give anything for a distraction from his thoughts.
He would immediately come to regret that wish.
“Yo, VP!”
The nasally voice that called out immediately made him prickle with anxiety. Not the anxiety that had been bubbling within him since waking up this morning; this was the deep-seated dread that only a teacher who regularly dealt with unruly students could know. He was loath to turn around, to do anything to suggest he had acknowledged this disturbance, hoping that maybe that would make him leave, but he already heard his approach—no, their approach, two of them; two sets of wings flapping as they swooped down, alighting upon the earth with paws and claws. He knew immediately who these two interlopers were, and silently he felt some of his faith in the just order of the universe diminish at the fact that it couldn’t have been any others, it just had to be the two students from the school who needed the sternest discipline when he was at his most vulnerable.
“Hey, Vice Principal Sunburst,” Smolder’s voice added in, making her own presence undeniable.
“Sorry to, uh, barge in on you like this,” Gallus continued from behind him, “I know we normally wouldn’t…well, the point is, we wanted to ask about something for, uh…”
“Come on, just spit it out.” There was a light whack, probably from Smolder jabbing Gallus in the shoulder. “It’s not like you’re going to keel over dead just because you’re trying to do your homework.”
“Well why do I have to be the one asking him, then?” he spat back acerbically.
“Because you’re the one who forgot what the assignment was!”
“Why couldn’t you remember it?!”
“I had more important things to do!”
“Oh, yeah, you mean writing another letter to Ocellus?”
“N-nuh-uh!”
While they bickered, Sunburst’s mind was racing to come up with a solution, an escape. He could run, he could even teleport away, but that would mean distancing himself further from Starlight Glimmer and Trixie. He wasn’t sure it would look too good for him either, running off without saying a word. Could he respond to them without turning to face them? Even Gallus and Smolder, gryphon and dragon, two of the most belligerent of Equestria’s races, would think something was amiss if he didn’t give them the dignity of speaking face to face. He didn’t think either that there was much he could do to keep himself covered in any way that wouldn’t draw attention to the fact that he was hiding something. If only he had perfected a mind reading spell, he could have grasped the question from their brains while they were distracted and blurted out an answer before shooing them off. Could he try blindly casting a spell like that without sufficient practice? A quick running of numbers told him that chances of success were low, and failure could result in debilitating consequences to the subject. At the moment, that possibility didn’t seem like too much of a deterrent.
“Vice Principal? Hello?” Gallus’s voice was closer now. He sounded annoyed—likely for a multitude of reasons. They had probably long since stopped arguing and set their sights upon him once more. “Are you even listening?”
Sunburst would have jumped if he weren’t too petrified in his thoughts to react in any manner other than terror. He wanted to speak but his throat was sealed shut. Sweat trickled freely down his brow. He couldn’t think of anything other than the rustling and rubbing of cloth over his sensitive skin.
No choice but to face the music, then.
“Hi!” Sunburst blurted out as he whipped around, forcing an awkward smile across his muzzle. “Yes, hello, I’m here!” As his cloak settled, it became clear that it he was holding it closed shut in front of him, arms grabbing the lapels from within. He had to keep it shut while also not pulling so much that it placed emphasis on the protruding shape of his chest.
“…Uh, yeah, we know that much,” Gallus replied dryly. He had his arms crossed over his chest, one claw tapping the seconds impatiently, a gesture which Sunburst couldn’t replicate so easily anymore. He had never found himself envious of another pony’s (or creature’s, in this case) flat chest before, and the thought of it was ridiculous. Even Smolder was flatter than he was, given that dragons lacked mammary glands.
Despite being younger, the gryphon wasn’t that much shorter than him. Smolder, on the other hand, was just tall enough that she had to look down at him, adding an imposing vibe to the way she peered at him, scrutinizing. “What’re you…doing?” she asked, pointing a finger that seemed all too accusatory.
“N-nothing!” He tugged harder on his cloak for a moment before feeling the pressure that came from it pressing on his bosom. “I’m just…chilly, that’s all!”
Smolder and Gallus, in their short-sleeved garb befitting the balmy weather, shared a skeptical glance with each other.
“U-um, I’m s-sorry, ah, what was it that you needed to know?” he said, desperate to hurry the conversation along.
Gallus rolled his eyes and sighed before saying, “We needed to know what the assignment due tomorrow was exactly. The one about, uh…old Unicornia, I think.” There was a slight cringe in both of their features, as if the very mention of the subject elicited revulsion.
Conversely, the subject of study was the epitome of enticing to Sunburst. “O-oh. Well, why didn’t you say so?” He was able to speak in a more natural manner, his posture relaxing somewhat while he mentally sifted through the folders of his memory. He started to pace, as he would when he was giving a lecture. “The assignment was…to research the policies of Princess Platinum and how they contributed to the degradation of her empire, thus necessitating the events that led to the meeting of the tribes and the founding of Equestria. And, since it’s a group effort”—he looked expectantly from one of the two to the other—“it is expected that the two of you will put in an equal effort.”
That prompted Gallus to groan, shoulders slumping. “Ugh, really?”
“What, did you think I was going to let you sit on your ass while I did all the work?” Smolder grumbled, turning to him with her fists on her hips.
“And you don’t do that whenever you get to work with Ocellus?” he asked her.
She scoffed. “I do exactly what I have to do. It’s not my fault that she has a fetish for schoolwork and—”
Sunburst cleared his throat sharply and they stopped. He felt himself smiling, just a little—it was good to be in control. “Need I remind you that you are enrolled in no mere school, but a school of friendship? Therefore, it is important that friends do what is necessary to support each other in times of—”
And then, in the midst of his pacing, Sunburst stepped on the hem of his cloak, snagging under his hoof, and he produced a choked yelp as he tripped and fell.
Fortunately for him, certain gryphons were quick on their feet, Gallus exclaiming “Whoa!” as he dove into the stallion’s path and caught him enough to steady his hooves. “What’s the matter? Are you…oh…”
Unfortunately, this position resulted in one of Sunburst’s breasts mashing against Gallus, while his hand had unconsciously grasped the other, expecting a far firmer surface and being taken aback by softness. Sunburst saw his eyes widen with realization and his heart dropped into his stomach. The stallion shook himself free, but the damage was done, and he had already unconsciously let go of his grip on the cloak anyway, leaving his bulbous chest undeniably on display, bared to the two students—still clothed by a shirt and bra, but he felt like he might as well have been naked.
And while Gallus was still staring, stunned, Smolder remarked plainly, “Oh…well that’s…new.”
The gryphon and dragon were going blurry, even through Sunburst’s glasses. He was crumbling. He fell to his knees, and this time there was no one to stop him. He made a vain attempt to cover his chest and his face as he started to break down sobbing.
“What’s he crying about?” Smolder asked in a whisper that she had probably intended to be inaudible.
Gallus sputtered incoherently before responding, “I…I dunno, because of the tits?”
“Why?”
“Because…!” There was more sputtering, eventually culminating in a clap—palms slapping thighs on the way down from being up in the air. “Sun-…Vice Principal Sunburst?” His voice got closer as he knelt down, closer to him. “What’s the matter?”
“Go on,” Sunburst muttered, words cracking, “I’m ready.”
“Ready for what?”
“For you to laugh.”
Through his tears, Gallus was a stain of blue, an orange mass behind him representing Smolder, but Sunburst was able to recognize the motion of him reaching one hand to rub at the back of his head. An embarrassed, nervous, or guilty gesture. “Here, come on.” The gryphon gently touched at his hand until he loosened enough to be free, letting himself be pulled up to his hooves again. Sunburst looked at him and Smolder, confused, and they looked just as confused, but more than that they were worried. “Now…can you tell us what’s wrong?”
Sunburst could only stare back at them blankly for several seconds before asking, “Don’t you want to laugh?”
“Laugh about what?” Smolder asked.
“About…about these!” He didn’t consider how inappropriate of a gesture it was before he grabbed at his breasts, squeezing them in his palms for emphasis. “Isn’t it just hilarious?! Ha ha, the vice principal has big fat tits, wow, what a turn of events!” He was almost hysterical, once again drawing far more attention to himself. “What a weirdo he must be to do something like this to himself, ha ha ha!” His mad laughter devolved into sobs again.
And then Gallus asked, with a shred of indignance, “You’d really expect us to do that at a time like this?”
In his moment of weakness, Sunburst couldn’t keep himself from saying something that his professionally mandated tact would have otherwise prevented: “With how much you two don’t seem to care about anything other than causing trouble, I thought it would be a given.”
For a moment, Gallus bristled, only to then settle again, gaze cast downward, and he heaved a heavy sigh. “I mean…yeah, I guess I could see myself doing that,” he admitted quietly. He tried to look up, but he seemed embarrassed to even linger for a moment upon Sunburst’s bosom. “It’s pretty weird and all that, but…I dunno, when it’s so sudden like this I’m kinda just…weirded out by it all. And seeing you cry like that…it’s…it’s not the right time to do something like that.”
“Look, Sunburst.” Now Smolder was definitely getting accusatory as she pointed her clawed finger at him. “I know what you must think we’re like. We know what we’re like. We know we’re delinquents, and we’re not namby-pamby ponies like you. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t feel bad for someone who’s clearly having a hard time.” She crossed her arms and puffed out her chest, proud and righteous.
Sunburst could only stare back and blink dumbly. As the cold realization of reality came over him and he found himself able to think so much more clearly than he had in his panic, it occurred to him how irrational he had been. He had seen these two as torturers sent from Tartarus to rake him over hot coals, but in reality they were just his students—perfectly reasonable young adults.
He had thought that about somepony else as well, even though she had been doing so much to try to help him, no matter how little he may have understood the methods.
“You…you’re right,” he muttered, sniffling and blinking away the last of his tears, “it was unfair of me to think of you that way. I apologize.”
“Great, so that’s behind us,” Smolder said, smiling and clapping a hand on Gallus’s back, “now would you mind telling us why you have boobies?”
“Smolder, seriously?” he interjected.
She shrugged. “Don’t tell me you didn’t want to know too.”
Sunburst gulped nervously as he recalled the cover story they had settled upon. “It’s uh…the by-product of a spell gone wrong. You know, the usual lab mishaps.” He chuckled awkwardly while fiddling with his glasses. “I’m, um…working on a way to reverse it.”
“Oh, okay. Was that so hard to say? We could have had so much less drama if you were just up front about it.” The dragon scoffed and shook her head.
“I think it’s a pony thing,” Gallus commented, “they really like making a scene, haven’t you noticed?”
Sunburst held his tongue on reminding them that he was right in front of them while they were talking about him.
“It’s still kind of weird, though,” Smolder mused, scratching her chin. She was staring down at Sunburst’s bosom, seemingly unperturbed by the social stigma that would be involved in such a gesture. “I thought only mares were supposed to have boobies. Why would it do that to a stallion?”
“Well, it’s…it’s magic, Smolder.” Despite having devoted his entire life to the study thereof, Sunburst had to admit that sometimes “It’s just magic” was the only valid response. It suited him well enough given that this was only a cover story. “It doesn’t always have to obey the rules that we’re accustomed to.”
“Really, now?” The dragon was displaying a level of interest that wasn’t typical for her. “So if whatever spell you were using could have that effect on a stallion…does that mean it could work on someone who isn’t a pony either?”
“What?” Sunburst and Gallus blurted out at the same time.
“Oh, you know,” she said with a chortle, “just…hypothetically speaking.”
“Smolder, I…” It wasn’t like Sunburst could actually tell her since it wasn’t actually a spell that had done this—even if the cover story were true, a misfired spell couldn’t be easily predicted or replicated. He didn’t think that there was any responsible way for him to answer that question, so instead he asked, “Hypothetically speaking, why would you want to know?”
Smolder faltered, just for a moment, sensing that the pony was on to her, before she rebounded. “For Gallus of course!”
“Wh—wait, WHAT?” Gallus squawked in disbelief, feathers standing on end.
“Yeah, of course!” She tried to lean on him, elbow propped on his shoulder, but he shook her away. “It’s fine, Gallus, there’s no shame in admitting how you feel.”
“I don’t feel like that at all!” Although, with his cheeks blushing red, Gallus’s eyes flicked in the direction of Sunburst’s chest, as if drawn in by the gravity of the enormous globes.
“Aw, come on, Gally-boy, no need to be so bashful,” Smolder cooed, patting him on the head, “maybe I should just leave you with Vice Principal Sunburst so you can talk about your feelings while I get a head-start on the assignment. Sounds reasonable to me!” And then she turned around and flapped her wings and took off into the sky without waiting for a response.
“No you don’t, get back here!” Gallus launched skyward in pursuit, and as they went off into the distance over the rooftops of Ponyville, Sunburst heard him shout, “You can’t dump your titty lust on me!”
After several seconds, Sunburst managed to relax. “Relax” consisted of going so limp, having been completely drained of energy and fortitude, that he nearly collapsed all over again. He didn’t register the ethereal, tingling touch that was keeping him held in place until he realized that seconds had passed and he hadn’t hit the ground. It was a teal aura of magic that grasped around his shoulders—a very familiar color.
“Well, I suppose you handled that as gracefully as you could have.” He looked up and saw Starlight Glimmer by the corner of the building with Trixie behind her.
“…How much did you see?” Sunburst asked ruefully.
“The important parts, you could say,” she said with a gentle smile while her magic levitated the stallion the rest of the way to his hooves.
“You could’ve…stepped in anytime, you know,” he grumbled.
Starlight Glimmer looked ready to speak before Trixie interrupted her. “I thought that it was vital for you to learn the best way to cope with your present circumstances.”
Sunburst groaned and rolled his eyes but again withheld further commentary. He wanted to believe that Trixie was coming from a place of genuine sincerity. He only wished that she didn’t have to be so needlessly and unhelpfully obtuse.
“And since you passed your trial so handily, I think that you’ve earned yourself a treat.” Her own magical aura levitated something toward him: a cone of soft-serve ice cream. The vanilla and orange swirls were almost like his own coat. He then realized that both of the mares had their own cones, and Trixie also had a small box of confections tucked under her arm. “Better get started before it melts, titboy.”
Snatching the cone from her, Sunburst was all too eager to eat, even something that was little more than milk and sugar. His tongue lapped at the silky material, scooping it up bit by bit.
“So how are you feeling about the whole boob situation now?” Trixie asked amidst licking at her own ice cream.
He looked back at her, then at Starlight Glimmer, expecting clarification or guidance, but she merely shrugged. He didn’t understand what Trixie was getting at, but he could only suppose that he had to play along with it. “I’m…fine,” he muttered, then took another lick. The sweet taste appealed to him in a strange way that he wasn’t accustomed to. “I’m ready to figure out how to fix this once we’re back at the castle.”
Trixie continued to stare at him, silently, almost expectantly, for a while before she shrugged her shoulders. “Alright, if you say so.”
“Trixie,” Starlight Glimmer said sternly, “please don’t tell me you’re trying to goad Sunburst into changing his mind about this.”
Sunburst sputtered and coughed—thankfully not in the middle of eating his ice cream.
But Trixie replied promptly, and with complete seriousness, “No, of course not. Sunburst is a grown-ass stallion, he can make decisions for himself. Isn’t that right, SB?”
“Wha—” He blinked, silently mouthing “SB?” before continuing. “I…yes?”
“Exactly. And if he decides that if he likes the idea of having tits, that’s going to be entirely up to him.”
He pursed his lips. Peering down at himself, at the mounds pushing through his shirt and jutting out before him, he began to evaluate the facts of the situation in a way that he hadn’t previously, now that he was in a calmer state of mind. He found himself struggling to rationalize the idea that this was something he wanted. What were the reasons that he didn’t want it, though? Because it was inconvenient, he had to suppose. That felt like a rather weak rationale, though, in light of all the mares around him who had put up with breasts for longer than he had. Was it simply a matter of thinking that this was wrong, that it was unnatural? He didn’t think that that was strong enough either.
Damp trickled over his fingers. The ice cream was melting. He hurriedly licked at the sticky mess until there wasn’t any left to spill over the sides of the cone, and he panted heavily. The dairy treat was eliciting an unusual sensation in him, as if activating some dormant sense he had been unaware of. It was filling him, welling up and forcing out, and it was…it was really getting him riled the more he thought about it.
“Um, Sunburst.”
He looked up at Trixie who was staring back in surprise. Starlight Glimmer beside her was frozen in the middle of reaching toward her ice cream, jaw hanging agape.
“I think you’ve, uh…sprung a leak.”
It was then that Sunburst realized there was a sensation of wetness still on his fur, but it was lower down. Perhaps unsurprisingly, on the chest that had been the source of so much consternation already. With the way they extended in front of him, he could only just barely see how, at the far end, there were darkened, dampened patches forming in the cloth of his blouse.
The most response he could muster was “Oh” while dropping the remains of the ice cream cone.
“This might be…a bit much to deal with in the middle of town,” Trixie admitted.
“Y-yeah, let’s go somewhere more private for this,” Starlight Glimmer hurriedly replied before she reached to take all of them together in the flash of her horn as they teleported away.
The ice cream went forgotten, but they were still going to have plenty of dairy on their hands.

“Come on, Sunburst,” Starlight Glimmer coaxed gently.
Sunburst had frozen with the hem of his shirt held up just to the lower swell of his breasts. He didn’t know why he was hesitating, given the circumstances. He couldn’t completely stifle the new feeling of immodesty that came from the idea of baring himself like this to somepony else.
“Sunburst, we’ve both seen naked tits way more times in our lives than you have,” Trixie scoffed with a wave of her hand, “it’s not like you have anything mind-blowing to hide.”
With a groan, he finished taking the shirt off. The bra was more of a struggle; he blindly fumbled with his arms behind his back trying to find and undo the clasp which held the straps in place for several seconds before he groaned and used his magic instead, grasping with his mind. The cups fell away and the air met with his bare skin.
The nipples on Sunburst’s breasts were a lot more bulbous than what he was used to. The areoles puffed outward from the skin slightly and the nubby caps at their centers were about as wide as his thumbs. And when he was prodding them to make that comparison, he was met with an even stronger tingling surge of arousal than any he had experienced thus far, the bare, light brown skin more sensitive than the rest of his breast flesh.
And, most pertinently, and the reason that he was doing this while standing next to the kitchen sink back in the castle, they were leaking milk. “I don’t understand why this is happening,” Starlight Glimmer muttered absentmindedly in the background somewhere, “lactation is supposed to occur in animals when they’re expecting children, not just…at random.”
“Well, maybe it’s because he’s a teacher,” Trixie ventured sarcastically, “your breasts are telling you that you should start working breastfeeding into your curriculum, Sunburst.”
Sunburst wanted to make a retort, but the idea that had been presented instilled instinctual feelings in his brain that made him groan. He tenderly placed his palms on either side of his bosom, lightly pressing the globes together. "Th-there’s still plenty we don’t uh-understand about the ‘why’ of any of this,” he stammered anxiously, “can we p-please focus on getting this m-m-milk problem under control so we can move on?”
Starlight Glimmer sighed, pinching the bridge of her muzzle. “Okay, fine, so you’re going to have to exert pressure on the nipples to stimulate the production and increase the flow.”
“…Directly on the nipples?” he asked sheepishly.
“Yes,” she replied flatly.
He bit his lip. He moved his hands into the correct positions, reaching around the breadth of his breasts. As expected, touching the nipples provided another surge of stimulation, but he was just going to have to grit his teeth through it. The pressure only grew stronger still when he pinched the pert tips, and he had to stifle a moan as the steady trickle turned into two thin streams that sprayed out into the sink, splashing about. A mistake, as she immediately moved to fill the space he had left, gripping firmly onto his nipples.

And then she started to squeeze and a shrill yelp escaped his lips. Trixie wasn’t merely applying pressure, she was pulling, yanking and tugging on each teat one after the other. With each pump, the flow of milk became a mighty gush, forceful enough that Sunburst felt droplets bounce back at him as pools of the stuff formed in the sink. She had no compunction about the distress that this was putting him through, not hindered by the stimulation which was keeping him locked down (though he dimly felt, through the contact of their skin, her heartbeat quickening its pace), maintaining a steady rhythm. Left, right, left, right. Splish, splash. Sunburst’s cries rang in his ears.
“Wow, where did you learn to do this?” Starlight Glimmer asked somewhere in the background of the scene.
“I’ve had to take on a lot of kinds of jobs to make ends meet,” Trixie said, plainly and quietly.
“Hmm…” A thoughtful hum. “Could I give it a try?”
Trixie snorted right next to Sunburst’s ear. “If you’re so eager to get a hands-on experience, be my guest.”
“Oh, I think I’ve got a different idea.”
In the brief moment between his milking partners switching out, Sunburst had to wonder if they remembered what the reason was that they were doing this in the first place.
Then Starlight Glimmer started the process over again, except she didn’t stand behind him, and she didn’t use her hands. Sunburst heard the spark of a horn igniting and then felt the magic of her aura tickling against his nipples, energy forming into physical constructs which then pinched and squeezed and pulled all over again. He groaned more deeply—the sensation was different this time, less tactile, slightly less stimulating to his sensitive skin, but the milking motions were all the more forceful. The pink unicorn definitely wasn’t exerting anywhere near the same expert touch that her marefriend had employed.
“How much more of this stuff can there be?” she said aloud. The combined time of their three different attempts had been going on for several minutes, but to Sunburst it felt like an agonizing eternity, like this was all his life had become, and for all he knew it was all it ever would be from now on.
“Well it’s not like these things are empty bags full of milk, Starlight.” Trixie leaned over and flicked her finger against one of Sunburst’s breasts with a soft fleshy thwack. “This is just the production, the rate at which his body is outputting the stuff. It’s a, uh…horm…hormonic thing.”
“Are you trying to say hormonal or harmonic?”
“Yeah, that one.”
Starlight Glimmer groaned and rolled her eyes. “It must be part of what those fake breasts did to him, because I’m sure no normal breasts work like this.”
Under ordinary circumstances, Sunburst would have loved to offer his input on theories like this, but in reality he was barely paying attention to anything being said. He could only stand there, hunched over the sink, gripping the counter so hard that he thought his nails would scrape furrows in it, while the process continued. The pleasure of the simulation was beginning to recede; now there was only a numbing ache suffusing the fleshy globes. This was made up for somewhat, though, by the throbbing pangs which were pounding away in his loins like a battering ram, wearing away his already frayed composure. Unconsciously, his hips jerked, and the tender skin chafed against its coarse fabric confines. His tongue lolled out from his mouth, his glasses askew, his mane even more of a frazzled mess than normal.
“I think…it might be diminishing!” Starlight Glimmer exclaimed as she observed the flow of milk into the sink, each subsequent tug producing slightly less than the one before, the pools swirling down into the pipes.
“Boy, I feel kind of bad thinking about how much perfectly good milk we just wasted,” Trixie muttered, “if I’d known there was going to be this much I would have gotten a bucket for it.”
Starlight Glimmer balked at her. “Trixie, you’d…are you saying you’d drink this stuff?”
The blue unicorn shrugged. “Milk is milk, Starlight, sometimes you just have to make do.”
“I guess, but…” She bit her lip as she turned her focus back to Sunburst, placing a consoling hand on his back, heaving with his gasping breaths and the circuitous rocking of his whole posture. She didn’t seem to notice the twitching in his hips.
“Come on, Starlight.” Trixie came to stand on the opposite side of Sunburst, smirking at Starlight Glimmer from across the stallion dividing them. “Don’t tell me you’re not at least a little curious.”
“I-I…” Her cheeks went from heliotrope pink to beet red within the span of a second. She looked down at Sunburst’s breasts, stared, as if really taking in their presence for the first time that hectic day.
“Don’t you at least want to know what they taste like?”
“T-T-Trixie!”
But Trixie was already hefting up one of the heavy orange breasts in her hands. The flow of milk had largely abated, but there was still a faint trickle, and she didn’t hesitate even as the white droplets splashed over her. She leaned over so that she could maneuver into the position she wanted, with the nipple pointed toward her face. Her mouth opened, but she didn’t merely place her lips upon the tender flesh—she reached out with her tongue first, licking against it.
And before Starlight Glimmer could express her shock at any of this, Sunburst gave one more cry of passionate fervor, the only sound he could make to convey his reaction to the spike of arousal which this action elicited, coursing through him and right into his brain. Independent of the continued milking, there was a final gushing torrent of milk from his breasts, except now there was only one pointed toward the sink, while the other blasted all over Trixie’s face, only some of it landing in her open mouth, and then bounced off in chaotic directions everywhere. Starlight Glimmer shrieked when some of the spray landed on her. Trixie shrieked in laughter. Sunburst hardly noticed it all. He was too overtaken by the rapturous sensations of his feminine parts to notice the tightening contractions he was familiar with.
When it was over, Sunburst’s previously rigid posture went limp and he collapsed to the counter. His face dipped toward the sink, still lingering with the fragrant sweetness of milk even as it drained away. If he looked down at himself without parting his breasts to the sides, he could only barely see the flared tip of the fleshy shaft peeking out from below them. The mirror offered a more neutral, impartial perspective, for better or worse. Was his arousal purely the result of seeing a naked pair of breasts, even if they were attached to his own body? He didn’t want to believe he was that shallow, but he wasn’t sure what to think of anything at this point. He’d certainly already manually rubbed out another climax while he was taking a shower earlier, unable to resist the temptations that came while he was going through the motions of lathering up the pert mounds with soap. Yet, when he looked inward and tried to tell himself that this was an avenue he wanted to pursue, he found that he lacked the impetus to do so.
Instead, something emerged from the depths of his subconscious.

“How do you feel about it?” Sunburst asked himself out of the blue.

He bit his lip. It was true that Trixie had never directly pushed him in any direction, though she had certainly done a great deal to push his buttons this day. At the root of it all, however, she had merely handed off the implement of his busty doom to him and allowed him to do what he chose with it.

It had been something he blurted out without a thought, but it was true: he had done this to himself, there was nopony else responsible, nopony else he could blame.

Would the transformation have transpired regardless of him having that internal impetus? There was no way of knowing now, and it wasn’t like it changed the end result of what had already happened.
Sunburst pursed his lips and sighed through his nostrils. He considered going to bed, knowing that there was still a lot that he had to think about. Instead, he got dressed again. There were some preparations he was going to have to make for tomorrow.

“What’re you doing in here?”
Starlight Glimmer looked up. Trixie was standing at the top of the steps of the lecture hall, peering down toward her. “Going over Sunburst’s lesson plans,” she replied while turning her gaze back toward the papers she was perusing, “somepony’s going to have to cover for him while he’s researching his boob problem.” She refrained from commenting on how this task was made harder than it should have been on account of the stallion’s horrid handwriting, scribbled across the pages that had been left on the desk.
Trixie hummed loudly while she descended the stairs. “Are you sure that’s what he’s doing?”
Rubbing her temples, Starlight Glimmer said, “I don’t know, I didn’t see him this morning, he wasn’t in the castle. I just figured that must be what he was doing.”
“If you say so,” the blue unicorn said with a teasing lilt.
“Is there something you want to say, Trixie?” she snapped back. “You’ve spent a whole day pushing Sunburst over this, are you just going to keep at it until he gives in to you?”
“It is of my expert opinion as school counselor that he has had exactly as much as he needs,” Trixie said, flipping her mane. “Despite what you might think, all I did was provide him with the trajectory that he needed, I let him do all the walking by himself.” She tapped her chin. “That meeting with Gallus and Smolder yesterday was quite lucky though, I thought we’d have to wait until he came in to school to get one of those reassuring friendship lessons.”
“Trixie, you can’t just call anything a friendship lesson.”
“Oh please, as if Twilight Sparkle didn’t go around making everything into an excuse to preach to ponies.”
“Learning about liking breasts is not a—!”
“Oh, hey you two!”
Both of them looked up. This time it was Sunburst standing at the top of the steps. There was a fair deal of bouncing as he walked down toward them. He was wearing a button-up shirt that, surprisingly, quite adequately covered his chest, the buttons not puckering even slightly. His mane was even just a little neater than it usually was—just a little; a few strands hanging loose over his brow. “Sorry I’m late,” he said, slightly out of breath, “I had to go to Rarity’s place again to pick up my new clothes.”
“Oh, so you picked her up on her offer, huh?” Trixie asked, smirking.
“Well, it’s just this for now,” he replied with a wry smile of his own, “I couldn’t expect her to whip up a whole wardrobe for me on a moment’s notice.”
“Hang on, back up.” Starlight Glimmer clapped her hand on the desk to get their attention. She glared at Trixie, who maintained her usual glibness, before focusing on Sunburst. “So…you’re not looking into doing something about this, I take it,” she said with a sigh, “you’re really okay with…being this way?”
Sunburst looked back at her. For a moment he was deterred by her apparent standoffishness, but he took a deep breath as he decided that he had to stay true to himself. “Yeah…I think I am,” he said resolutely.
And with a shrug of her shoulders and a very faint smile, Starlight Glimmer said, “Alright, just as long as you’re sure.” And then after a moment she added, “If that milking problem keeps happening, though, don’t expect me to help you with it every time.”
“I’ll gladly offer my assistance, should you desire it,” Trixie interjected.
Sunburst laughed. “Thanks, both of you.” He turned to Trixie. “I have to thank you, especially, for giving me these in the first place.” He bounced on his hooves and his bosom wobbled. “How…how did you know?”
She scoffed and shook her head. “For as generous and beneficent as I may be, I can only claim so much responsibility. At first, it really was just because I thought it would be funny. A stallion with giant tits? That’s hilarious, don’t you think?” She reached out and prodded his chest, finger sticking into the pliant surface. Sunburst briefly giggled as he shook her off and Starlight Glimmer offered a light snicker. “But I could tell that you were…conflicted. You weren’t sure what to think about it. And I was willing to gamble on the possibility that you were leaning more toward acceptance.”
“Yeah…I guess that’s what it was,” he replied while looking down at himself, at the all-encompassing mounds which filled the span of his shirt. It was appealing on an obvious sexual level, but it also filled him with a sense of worth that had eluded him for much of his life. He had accepted his desire for breasts, and in doing so he had accepted himself.
“And I do like being the bustiest,” he added, smirking.
Trixie blinked. “Now hold on just a moment—”
“He’s got you there, Trix,” Starlight Glimmer commented, “you should’ve gone for B-cups if you didn’t want to be caught in a situation like this.”
“I guess I really am Sunbust now, huh?” he said while shaking his voluminous chest from side to side.
Sunburst and Starlight Glimmer laughed while Trixie pouted and crossed her arms under her bosom, and she silently wondered to herself whether she remembered there being more of those fake breasts at the magic shop.

The original idea for this story was just to write about the dealings of one becoming a bustyboy and eventually deciding that they're into it. Because I have certain unavoiadble tendencies, though, this evolved into themes of body image and acceptance. Also turned into a stealth spin-off of Royal Radiance?
For being someone who vehemently hates the creativity-stifling memery of "Dragons don't have tits lol" it's funny that I've written that twice now.
I thought this story might even not have graphic sexual content in it but couldn't resist going overboard with milking.
