Location: Sweet Apple Acres, 11:47pm
Near the outskirts of a city named "Canterlot" is a family farm and orchad, Sweet Apple Acres. Home to a family of four.
Tonight is the night that everything will change, not only for this small family but for the whole world itself.
The oldest grandchild and only grandson of Granny Smith is the first to awake when bright blue light shines through the blinds on his window. A bright star- no, a comet of sorts crashed down in the middle of the apple orchard.
The impact shook the house stirring the rest of the occupants awake. Big Mac, quickly got out of bed and slipped on his work boots and a jacket before going out his room and heads downstairs. Following him closely behind is his younger sister Applejack.
"Mac, where ya' goin? And what was that outside?" The blonde haired girl asks.
The young man nods and motions for Applejack to put on her shoes and to grab a flashlight.
The two siblings make their way outside heading towards the middle of the orchard using their flashlights to light the way.
Big Mac, stops at the edge of the crater he lowers his flashlight shining it's light on the crater. In the middle of it lays a young girl with crimson red locks with golden streaks in her hair. She seems to be a year younger than Applejack.
"Well I'll be a monkey's uncle," Said Applejack looking over Big Macs shoulder.
"That' a girl Big Mac!"
"Eyup."
"Come on, we gotta see if she's alright!" Applejack slides down the side of the crater with her big brother in tow.
The two siblings stand over the unconscious girl with their flashlights pointing at her. The unconscious girl looked roughed up to say the least.
"Is she breathing?" Applejack looks to Big Mac who shruggs before kneeling down by the girl and checks her heart rate.
"She's alive," Is all he says before picking her up and they walk back to the house, unknowingly this night would be the night that their lives were going to change forever.
○Seven years later○
Inside a dimly lit room lays a crimson haired teenage girl with golden streaks. She shys away under her sheets to escape the morning sunlight coming through her now opened blinds.
"Time to wake Sunset, we go chores to do!" A tall blonde haired girl with beautiful emerald green eyes with freckles littered on her cheeks stood over the bed.
The girl in bed is Sunset Shimmer, the older blonde girls younger adoptive sister.
"Just....five more.... minutes..." The girl Sunset mumbles in her sleep.
"Ah right, I guess you leave me no other choice sugarcube." She tucks her hands under the mattress and flips it over causing Sunset to fall face first on the wooden floor.
"Ow! Applejack what the heck," She whined and rubs her nose.
"I told you to go ta' bed early but you wouldn't listen." The blonde, Applejack says and helps her up.
"If Granny finds out that you were playing those video games again she'll have a fit."
"I know, I know. It won't happen again."
Applejack gives her a skeptic look.
"Right, anyways hurry up and get changed. It's yer first day of school ya hear." And with that, Applejack leaves the room closing the door behind her.
Sunset gets up and fixes her bed and gets ready. She takes a quick shower and puts on her clothes. A teal t-shirt, jeans and black leather boots with orange velcro straps and a black leather jacket that reaches a little below the waist.
Once Sunsets finished getting dressed, she slings her backpack over her shoulder and makes her way out of her room before stopping at the door. She glanced at her bedside dresser and walks over to it.
She opens it and inside items three items, first is a black device , a ring with wings hidden on its sides and a trigger. The second item is a container that holds two cards and lastly, there's a harmonica-like object.
When Sunset was found, these were the only items on her person except for the clothes on her back. Sunset didn't know why but... She felt attached to them.
I'll take these with me... Just in case.
She puts the items in her bag and heads downstairs. She didn't want to be late on her first day of school and piss of the teacher.
Big Mac, Applejack, and Apple Bloom were already downstairs waiting for here.
"Look who finally decided to get out of bed aye?" Apple Bloom grins at Sunset.
"Morning pipsqueak." Sunset ruffles the younger girls hair and grabs her breakfast to go.
"Alrighty then, let's head on out. Heard it's going to be mighty windy today so grab a jacket." Applejack says and with that, the four siblings said goodbye to granny Smith and made their way to Big Mac's truck.
Big Mac gets in the drivers seat while Apple Bloom sits in the passenger side leaving Applejack and Sunset to sit in the trunk.
"You look really tired Sunset, you gonna be okay?" Applejack asks.
"I'll be fine Aj," Sunset yawns and stretches her arms out.
"I just haven't been getting the best sleep lately. I've been having some pretty weird dreams lately." Sunset explains.
"It stared happening two weeks ago during summer vacation. Remember when Big Mac took us camping and I slipped and hit my head on a rock?"
"Yeah, I remember. Gave me and big bro a scare." Applejack nods at the memory.
They went camping as a way to celebrate for Sunset going to Canterlot academy this school year.
They didn't even make it through nightfall when Sunset had slipped off the hiking trail and hit her head against a rock and had to be taken to the nearest hospital.
"Yeah, that was a really fun trip!" Sunset says sarcastily.
"Have you told your therapist about it?"
"Nah, it slips my mind sometimes. Besides, once I wake up it's hard to remember what the dream is about, all I know is that it's the same dream happening over and over again." Sunset sighs and looks at the sky.
Dark gray clouds covered the normally blue sky for miles.
"Looks like it might rain today..." Sunset says. "Wasn't it supposed to be clear all week?"
"You know the saying. The weather man always lie. It's just probably going to be some rain today, nothin' new." Said Applejack.
Sunset looked back up and squint her eyes. She sees a silhouette of a giant bird disappearing into the clouds.
Something.... Feels wrong.
