The Great War Of Equestria

"GO PRONE!" he heard the commanding officer scream, he did so almost instantaneously.

The ground was damp and smelled of death, maybe that was because he was at the front line. He looked to his left and saw his best friend Derpy. To his right was a dead pony, CarrotTop.

"At least she's at peace now" he thought as he reloaded his AK-47u.

A spurt of machine-gun fire flew overhead and he heard somepony screaming in agony, He looked behind him and saw a Filly, someone he had never seen before, she had a majestic cyan coat and beautiful long red hair. None of it mattered though, she had a severe shotgun wound on the side of her flank, completely covering where her Cutie mark once was... She was a threat to the mission and had to be put down. All that screaming was leading them to their trench.

"I'm real sorry for this Ma'am but it has to be done..." He said as he unsheathed his knife, it had be sheathed to his front right leg, hidden by his uniform. He took it in his mouth (after dropping his AK of course) and slit her thought.

"There was worse ways to die" a familiar voice said from behind him, he turned and saw Derpy looking at the poor dead pony,

"She was going to get us all killed!" The Doctor said to her.

"I never denied that," Derpy said with a frown "I just wish there was another way..."

"FRAG OUT!" The commanding officer shouted as he chucked a grenade out of the trench. Sometimes it was hard to believe he was the same pony who spent all of summer bucking apples only a few years ago.

"Mac," The Doctor said "This is suicide! He have to retreat!"

"I will NOT leave this post until every single one of those sunuva bitches are DEAD!"

"Then we'll see you in HELL!" The Doctor said as he got up and started to run towards base.

"NO!!" Derpy screamed and grabbed her friend "If you leave now, they'll kill you!"

"Death by firing squad is a risk I'm willing to take!" He shouted while attempting to break free of Derpy's grip.

"I know, but I don't want to see you hurt Doctor!" She said fighting back the tears, "I lo--"

Before she even finished her sentence there was a huge explosion and the rat-a-tat-tat of a .30 calibre mini-gun spewing 7.62mm bullets all over the place. They looked back and saw Mac running straight into the line of fire... He fell to the ground screamed once, then stopped moving...

"NOW WHAT!!??" Derpy screamed in a Panic

"Go get his radio! I'll lay down cover fire!" The Doctor ordered

As Derpy flew over to grab the radio the Doctor lay down cover fire. Derpy started to fly back, then there was a loud gunshot and a hole appeared in Derpy's right wing! The Doctor looked to his left and saw a sniper on top of a skyscraper in the distance.

"DERPY, RUN!!" He screamed, knowing he couldn't take the sniper out at this range.

Derpy caught up with him and he yanked the radio from her mouth, he threw it to the ground and started talking into it,

"Hello Overlord 1-2 this is Private Whooves speaking, OVERLORD 1-2 DO YOU COPY?!" He said to it whilst still laying down cover fire for an injured Derpy,

"Yes Private we read you, what happened? Can you put General Mac on?" Overlord 1-2 replied via the radio.

"No, He is dead, as is the rest of our Platoon, the only other survivor is Private Hooves, and she is badly wounded! We need a Ponymedic squad and some reinforcements A-S-A-P!"

"Okay, we'll have somebody arrive to pick you up! What was your mission?"

"We were supposed to find and save the reconnaissance squad C-M-C!"

"DAMN IT, WE'LL HAVE SOMEBODY PICK YOU UP IMMEDIATELY!

He was in a large room, the walls were made of reinforced metal, he was sitting on an orange chair with General

"Well." The General said, "What happened?"

"I don't know," The Doctor replied "Our troops just kept dying, I saw CarrotTop die right in front of my eyes, I had KILL SOMEPONY FROM OWN SQUAD to protect the rest of our group. She was dying, she started screaming and giving away our position."

"You did the right thing." He said "But now who is going to save Applebloom and her friends, even if we do save her how are we going to explain that her whole family is dead?" He said sadly

"Ill do it" The Doctor said with a determined look on his face, "Ill go in solo, find the C-M-C, get out of there then sneak back with them. Easy as 1-2-3!"

"Urgh," The general grunted "I know there is no arguing with you, Whooves. If we try to stop you then you'll just go in anyway! I guess it's worth a shot, just -NO MATTER WHAT- don't let AppleBloom know what happened to her brother!"

He left the base chuckling to himself,

"Okay, the C-M-C are in detention block alpha of the Changling's eastern base according to this map. That's about 400 clicks east of here, but if I take a rover or buggy marked with our badge there then they'll shoot me on sight, they have an abandoned airfield not far north though. Perhaps I can find a buggy there, maybe a uniform too!"

"Here we go," He said as he opened a locker "

Inside he found:

Keys to god-knows-what.

Some smoke bombs

and...

"what's this?" he asks as he takes out a large sheet, he ties it over himself and looks in a nearby mirror.

He looks so much like a Changling its un-canny!

He heads outside (all this stuff tucked away in his saddlebags) he eventually see's a long line of cars, of all shapes and sizes "okay then," he mutters as he tries to figure out which one the keys he found unlock. After several failed attempts he finally finds the car, or should he say Jeep?

He gets in and notices a GPS with the location of the Changling base.

"That's where the C-M-C are, they HAVE to be!" He exclaimed as he slammed down on the pedal.

He pulled up at the forcefield, crap. there was a Changling on guard!

"If you are a Changling then show your true form now, or regret ever coming here" It said in a deep voice, a Browning 9mm Hi-power pistol floating in a ball of green light pointed at The Doctor's face.

"Okay," The Doctor said quickly formulating a plan, "Here I go!" He said as he used a smoke grenade. In the blindness he quickly put on the Changling suit, hoping the other Changling would be to stupid to realise.

"You shall pass." The Changling said as a hole suddenly opened in the forcefield.

He walked inside and instantly noticed the large amount of Changlings.

"Should'a came armed" he muttered under his breath

He walked up to a large metal building, it was shiny and seemed to be make entirely from stainless steel! He saw several guards who were asking for some kind of "passport" to get in.

"Drats," he thought aloud. He desperately looked for another way in. No luck. Then he say a large valve on the side of the building. Taking his chances, he turned it.

A large door creaked open, as he walked inside he saw a elevator. He stepped inside and pressed the button for BF2. The map said that should be where the Cutie Mark Crusaders are.

He stepped off and the smells hit him like a missile. The smells of mouldy food, rotting corpses and alot of faecal matter. He looked around, he was in "Detention Block Gamma" apparently, though it seemed like it had been abandoned long ago, the only remains of Ponys were mere Skeletons. as he walked through several doors it started to smell better, he saw a dying Mare lying on a bed crying. He snuck past, thinking she might do something that sets of an alarm. He saw a door, "Detention Block Beta." It read above it. But of course, it was locked.

"Looks like this is no longer a stealth mission" He said as he activated an alarm.

All the doors swung open and armed Changlings spewed out oh them. Only one came out the door The Doctor was at though. He pounced on it and grabbed its pistol, it was a make he had never seen before. That wasn't important though. he had to find the Cutie Mark Crusaders fast. He was sprinting through Detention Block Beta when a table fell infront of him, without even thinking about it he cleared the jump effortlessly.

All the lights went off. The alarm stopped. They must have figured out this wasn't a joke and there was somebody in the base. they would be looking for him relentlessly with night vision goggles.

"This'll be useless" he said as he tore off the Changling costume and chucked it behind him.

There was a scream, it sounded like the one he had heard in Ponyville all those years ago. Before it all went to hell.

He dashed though the doors as a spurt of machine gun fire echoed behind him, he fired a few blind shots back but none of them connected with the target. Then the lights came on, but they were red.

He saw them. Sweetie Bell, Applebloom and Scootaloo, all still huddled together in their cell. He ran up and put a round into the padlock. The door swung open, but they stayed where they were.

"Please don't hurt us" Applebloom said through her tears.

"We didn't mean any harm, honest!" Sweetie bell cried.

Scootaloo didn't even say anything, she just cowered where she was.

"I'm not gonna hurt you!" The Doctor explained, "I'm here to save you!"

Sweetie bell shook her head, thinking it was a trap. Scoots still did nothing, Applebloom was more trusting. she walked up to him and asked to see his badge. as soon as he showed her it Sweetie Bell ran up and hugged him. Scoots was still crying in the corner.

"What's wrong Scoots?" Applebloom asked, "You're not CHICKEN are ya?"

Scoots got up, tears still running down her eyes. She walked up to the Doctor and said only two words.

"Thank you." That was enough to make The Doctor happy. his happiness was short lived however as he heard many hoovesteps behind him.

"We gotta go!" He shouted, "NOW!"

They all run back the way The Doctor had entered with the Changlings shooting at them. They jumped over the dead Changling he had taken the gun off of. Of course, the gun! He took it out and shot the rest of the mag at the Changling crowd behind him. He heard a blood-curdling scream as a shot connected with its target. He smashed the elevator doors open and swung open the safety hatch on the roof, he pass his gun to Scoots who took aim and fired it very accurately. He climbed up the ladder, as did Applebloom and Sweetie Bell, he helped Scoots up as she still had the gun.

He noticed the huge door closing and they are ran through it, He made a dash towards the Jeep and thrust the keys into their place, The others climbed in.

"Hey, what's this?" Sweetie asked as she picked up a Lee Enfield machine gun.

"Its a... " The Doctor replied, "It's a machine gun!"

Sweetie Opened fire with Scoots, who somehow still had ammunition for that gun.

They were closing in on Ponyville, with alot of Changlings still hot on their trail he knew he couldn't lead them had to his own base. So he took a detour through the Everfree Forest. He swerved through trees and eventually they lost the Changlings. With a sigh of relive The Doctor stepped outside onto the moist dirt.

"Why are we stopping?" Sweetie asked whilst ignoring Scoots who was talking some sort of nonsense about how amazing she was with the pistol.

"I didn't want to, I think something broke though. A muffler maybe?" He replied.

"Ah reckon I can help ya with that!" Applebloom said as she jumped out, attempting to tune out Scootaloo.

"How so?" The Doctor said curiously,

Applebloom explained, but he honestly didn't understand what she was saying.

"What?" He said with a blank look on his face.

"I'll fix it okay?" Applebloom said very slowing, patronizing him.

A short while later Applebloom shouted "It's done!"

not believing this The Doctor drove a few meters. It was fixxed!

"OHH MY GOD!" Sweetie and Scoots shouted.

"What?" Applebloom replied with a puzzled expression.

The Doctor looked and saw it too. He smiled as the Wrench symbol appeared on her flank.

As Applebloom looked to see what was so interesting she saw it.

"MY CUTIE MARK!" She screamed, much to the dismay of The Doctor's ears.

"All aboard!" The Doctor said with a huge grin.

He parked not far from the base and got out,

"We're walking the rest of the way," He said.

"Why?" The girls asked

"This Jeep is one of theirs, if anybody see's it they'll shoot it on site.

They walked inside, past the guards. Several people gasped at the site of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, But he didn't care. He wanted to see Derpy.

Hello Ladies and Gentlecolts it me, Yo PFF ShadowT. I'm sorry about this fail of a chapter! I made the first part (up the the airbase) the same day as the Prologue, but my keyboard died and I was in mourning. I got a new one now so I'll be able to do my stories now.
