A Downwards Spiral

After Diamond's interaction and arugment with her big brother A.K.A her very distant B.B.B.F.F and a while of researching the orignal Hacksaw Killer the unicorn eventually returned to the station with the book of information and newspapers about the Hacksaw Killer. She returned to the station during the night to check on the investigation she wasn't the only one there Laser,Sandbar and Smolder were also there.

''Hey any of you got any leads yet?'' Diamond asked Laser was scrolling through some Hacksaw killer news article ''Do you think this copycat has anything to do with the orignal Hacksaw Killer like a apprentice or something?'' Laser wondered putting down a newspaper.

''Here's the iced coffee you wanted really badly.'' Smolder said annoyed slamming the cup of coffee on the table. When Diamond took a sip of it she realized there was no flavor in the coffee''Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME NO FLAVOR!'' Diamond yelled chucking the cup of coffee into the trash can making Sandbar and Smolder snicker a little. ''Wow cool trickshot'' Laser told Diamond

''Hey Sandbar got any suspects down for this Hacksaw copycat'' Diamond asked the earth pony ''Not really only suspects i suspect are Head Detective Gilda and Royal Guard Captain Gallus that's it and i tried to look for suspects aswell trust me.'' Sandbar explanied

Flashback a few hours earlier

Sandbar had pinned down a mare and put a cloth over her face ''Listen up punk WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE HACKSAW KILLER!'' the earth pony yelled. The mare tired to move only to be pinned down again ''I don't know who that is'' The mare said her voice breaking.

Sandbar then spilled water on the cloth performing waterboarding ''What do you know about the Hacksaw Killer punk'' the earth pony asked again. When the mare was able to smack him he decided to let her go pretty confident she wasn't in any way connected to the Hacksaw Copycat as the mare trotted off.

A few moments later

Sandbar saw a hooded pony in a alleyway and thought he found the Hacksaw copycat and tackled it, putting the cloth over the figure's face. ''HA NICE TRY PUNK I GOT YOU BEFORE YOU COULD GET ME!'' the earth pony yelled before pouring water on the cloth. The stallion immediately broke down in tears this is what made Sandbar realized this pony was having a episode and let him go.

Back To Present

''Alright every creature listen up'' Diamond said walking up to the red string board ''Flash was last spotted at The Grand Galloping Gala a few days ago chasing a saddle thief luckily there were cameras at the Gala itself unfortunately most of them were broken but there was only one that wasn't and it was from a pretty good angle as well so guess i'll be heading there.''

''Yeah about that'' Smolder started ''Silver and Ocellus are already on the case they're checking out the security footage in Canterlot.''

''Welp with that being taken care of guess we can call it a night.'' Diamond stated

Diamond Sword wanting to get some information on the Hacksaw copycat for himself decided to check out a abandoned hospital where blood donations mainly happend. Until on day a patient died from the wrong blood type which led to the hospital shutting down, it wasn't even demolished and now is just left there to rot. ''Haven't done something like this in a long time.'' Sword said to himself grabbing a gun from his car and loading it.

Once SIlverstream and Ocellus got to Canterlot they headed for the Security Footage room only to be stopped by 2 Royal Guards at the door ''You're not allowed in here only law enforcement'' Silverstream then showed her silver detective badge and they were let inside

They checked the security footage from the only working camera and found The Grand Galloping Gala that happend a few days ago ''Okay there's Flash can you tell who he's chasing?'' Ocellus asked Silver ''Hey i know who that is that's Tempest Shadow but that's just her Criminal Nickname her real name is Fizzlepop Berrytwist i've aressted her before she's a junkie, hangs around in a abandoned bakery called Sugarcube Corner and she make drug deals with somepony named Mare-Do-Well. ''Should we inform Diamond?'' The changeling asked ''Fuck her , i'll find the building you track down this Mare-Do-Well pony.'' Silverstream replied

Once Silverstream flew to the abandoned bakery Sugarcube Corner with no backup she saw that the place no longer resembled a gingerbread house but looked like a half burned down house or a half melted candle. When the hippogriff went inside and turned oh her flashlight she saw that almost all the furniture was gone and the ones that remained were badly damaged or in pieces, the gingerbread walls were almost completely gone exposing a metal wall with rust and graffiti on it.

''Not a lot of junkies are around during this time, but there's a chance i could find a junkie who knows something about this Mare-Do-Well pony or Tempest Shadow.'' Silverstream said to herself as she walked around the former bakery. This is when she suddenly noticed a mattress and a blanket on the floor.

''Hey you wake up'' Silver loudly told the creature as she walked closer to the mattress, with no reaction or response from the creature ''Uh rise and shine'' she said raising her voice a little more hoping to get at least a reaction from the creature but didn't get one. ''Come on get up atleast do something'' Silver told the creature kicking it a little before removing the blanket revealing a pony mannequin head wearing a Royal Guard helmet covered in blood.

''OH SHIT, HOLY FUCK!'' the hippogriff yelled, quickly pulling out her gun before realizing it's just a mannequin head ''Calm down Silver it's just a mannequin head'' Silver said to herself as she headed towards the exit ''Guess there are no junkies around this time.'' she said in a defeated tone

All of a sudden she got attacked by the hooded pony who put a rag over her face but unlike Flash and Gabby she manage to last a little longer, Silver tried to lash out at the attacker but only manage to last 5 seconds longer than the last two ~~victims~~ test subjects before passing out.

Silverstream woke up due to water pouring down on her face, causing her to bite down on something on accident which led her to get pulled towards something, then letting go as she started struggling against her restrains.

Diamond was in her car scrolling through her phone abut Hacksaw Killer cases before getting a call from Laser ''Hey Diamond what do you think the note in Gabby's box meant by younger.'' Laser through the phone asked

''Well i'm checking through the data base right now...hey i found one The Young 6 a group of rookies that hung out daily, even after being promoted stuck around. I guess their group started becoming distant during the movement to lower the crime rate by killing innocent ponies movement due to them starting to show signs of corruption and split up once i snitched on a corrupt detective causing them go full corrupt.

Members of this former group are Sandbar, Smolder, Ocellus, Yona a deceased yax rookie, Silverstream and GALLUS ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!'' Diamond yelled banging her head against the sterring wheel.

Sandbar was just leaving the station and saw Diamond banging her head against the sterring wheel yelling something ''Welp i've seen enough see you later punk fucking drama queen.'' the earth pony said fixing his wet looking hair before trotting off

''Hey Diamond i checked the database and it turns out Flash has lied multiple times in court providing false evidence to sue businesses noteable ones being Sweet Apple Acres and The Carousel Boutique.''

''Well atleast that explains why his tounge was at The Carousel Boutique'' Diamond said calming down from her freakout

Meanwhile A Few Moments Earlier (In More Detail)

Silverstream woke up due to water from a faucet, she had a cage like device on her face and accidentally bit down on two small bars on the device causing her finger like claws that were in chinese finger trap like metal sheaths connected to metal wires to start getting pulled towards a motor. ''HELP,HELP ME'' Silver yelled letting go of the two small bars stopping the motor, when she tried to simply fly out of the tank turns out her wings her pierced with closed fish hooks.

Now In The Present

Silverstream tried everything she tried to remove the cage like device from her face, try to bite off the chinese finger traps through the cage device, crossing her finger in hopes of slipping them off, and leaning back to try to pull them off.

All of a sudden the TV above the motor on a platform turned on and Cross this time a puppet/marionette appeared on the screen.

''Hello, Detective Silverstream, i want to play a game the tide of justice is rising around you. In 90 seconds, the water in the tank will rise until it reaches the multi color wires, and if you are still in the tank by then, you will be electrocuted to death, unless you make a sacrifice that will clear your name. You murdered another hippogriff because she insulted you.'' Cross said pointing a hoof at Silverstream before showing bodycam footage from her badge of said murder.

Silverstream had pulled over another hippogriff for reckless driving with a speed boat and was checking for a boating license ''License and Registration, show me your claws gotta make sure you don't have anything dangerous on you, claws where i can see them motherfucker.'' Silver explained before the hippogriff literally flipped the bird at her. Provoking Silver to pull out her gun and shoot the hippogriff killing her, the footage then cut off and Cross The Puppet/Marionette came back on the screen.

''Your trigger happy talon pulled the trigger, and that cannot happen again. All you have to do is bite down on the two small bars on the device in front of you with, which will start the motor that will rip your fingers like claws away, and will release you from the fish hooks pierced through your wings leaving you free to escape with your life. But if you don't act quickly, all that awaits you is watery doom die or die live or die make your choice.'' Cross said putting his hoof down, before the TV shut off

Silverstream immediately bit her beak down on the small bars on the cage like device starting up the motor, which started pulling her finger like claws towards it, the wires slowly getting pulled in and disappearing into the motor, as her finger started slowly getting near it.

She looked back over her wing seeing the faucet pouring water and slowly filling up the tank seeing that the tank was now 1/3 of the way full. Her fingers reached and went under a metal bar that prevented her fingers from being pulled further than intended.

Once the limit of the fish hooks pierced through her wings was reached, her finger like claws started slowly get ripped off causing blood to start coming out. Silver leaned back in hopes of ripping off her fingers a bit quicker trying to ignore the pain and not lose her grip on the small bars.

All of a sudden her middle finger was nearly ripped off causing her to let go of the small bars stopping the motor and yelling in pain ''AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!'' the hippogriff yelled as she started sobbing not noticing the blood colored water in the tank ''Isn't there way to get if off?'' Silver said biting down on the small bars again starting the motor back up again.

All of a sudden the water reached the multi color wires touched the water, water and electricity don't mix this led to Silverstream get electrocuted to death causing her eyes to become bloodshot as all her finger like claws are fully ripped off and the hooks pierced through her wings are released, causing the hippogriff to collapse into the blood water tank.

The next day once reports a broken into Sugarcube corner were filed Diamond decided to check it out with Laser, Ocellus and Sandbar ''Make sure to look for any evidence,'' Diamond reminded the others before finding a small box in a puddle ''Hey guys i found something pretty sure it's another body part'' the unicorn said before opening the box and she was right there was 8 severed bloody finger like claws

''This is probably the least disturbing and least gross discovery yet, i mean at least it's less disturbing than a whole severed talon.'' Laser pointed out.

Diamond then used her magic to pick up a silver detective badge and finding a silver lining/outline on the badge ''I know who this it's Silverstream.'' Diamond concluded causing her to get remember a incident that happend a few day before Sword retired as Royal Guard Captain

Silverstream before the movement and Diamond snitching on the corrupt detective she had a hyperactive and bubbly personality. But during the movement to lower the crime as much as possible by killing innocent ponies, which is when most of the creatures in the department started showing signs of corruptions, Silver become less hyperactive and bubbly showing less emotion and less energetic. And once going full corrupt her personality became cold showing barely or no emotion in her voice or in general .

Flashback

Diamond has just become a detective a few weeks ago and had already gotton herself in a weird situation in this case being a gun fight with a griffon gang memeber, ''This is Detective Diamond Sparkle requesting backup, requesting backup'' she requested trying not to alert the griffon just around the corner.

Meanwhile in a nearby cop car a few blocks away Silverstream was discussing something with Gallus ''Can't believe they actually let you stay in the force'' Silver said putting on sunglasses ''Wanna bet i can become the New Royal Guard Captain?'' Gallus asked. The radio suddenly turned on and Diamond's backup request came over the radio.

''What a fucking bastard'' Silver said coldly ajusting her sunglasses ''Wonder why blind creatures wear these it just makes their vison worse'' the hippogriff said coldly.

In the end Diamond ended up losing the gun fight with the giffon gang member shooting her in the chest and getting away. As paramedics treated her gun wound and Diamond's other corrupt colleagues gathered around,

Sword arrived at the scene ''Where the hell were any of you?'' the unicorn lashed out fixing the cast on his broken horn ''My sister called for backup a total of 8 fricking times and not a single one of you responded no creature, no pony nothing'' he asked ''Since none of you want to fess up i'll call dispatch and check who was closest to this area and when i do i'll take tis gun.'' the unicorn said pulling out his gun

''And shoot that fucking bastard'' Sword concluded shooting his gun into the air. Silverstream took off her sunglasses and turned around ''SILVER IT WAS YOU!" Sword yelled grabbing the back of her head and throwing her into a metal wall before hitting her with his gun and punching her multiple times ''YOU MESS WITH DIAMOND AGAIN, YOU DAMM BIRD-BRAINED MOTHER FUCKER!'' he exclaimed angrily before being pulled away by Gallus and Sandbar

Back To Present

''I'll never forget that experience'' Diamond thought as she put Silverstream's badge in her saddle. ''Yo Diamond you there?'' Laser asked waving a hoof in front of Diamond's face ''Oh yeah right'' she said before going after Laser

Once back at the station, Ocellus was checking through the database to look for cases of drug dealers and gang members to try to find clues in which all these creature orignated from. ''If i want to find the hideout gotta find a common place that is found in these cases'' the changeling thought typing away.

Diamond trying to figure and come up with theories to this Hacksaw copycat. Sandbar came in with a small box ''Hey punk i found this when i came in it's for you.'' he said before placing it down on Laser's desk messing up a few of his papers. ''Okay Laser get ready for more body parts'' he said to himself before he opened it

''Uh Laser there's nothing in there just sand, a wet cloth, a few sea shells, and seaweed.'' Diamond explained. Laser got frustrated ''Damm it this must the Hacksaw Copycat's attempt to mock us giving was false evidence.'' Laser ranted before throwing it into a trash can ''Nice Trickshot'' Diamond commented
