A Brand New Meaning Of Life

THE EQUESTRIAN CIVIL WAR - YEAR 9

Nine years, nine long years of bloody civil war and that was going through Shining Armor's mind as he was sitting down in a trench wearing his royal guard uniform. He looked up at the setting sun as he remembers how all of this started. It all started with Princess Celestia turning into her darker half, Daybreaker, nopony knows how or why she turned but it marked the beginning of the civil war. She nearly killed her little sister, Princess Luna, but she manages to escape and begins to form a army to fight against her sister. Many joined the princess of the night, including Shining Armor, to fight Daybreaker and bring Princess Celestia back but it wasn't easy.

The years of war between Princess Luna's pony army and Daybreaker's army of undead lava soldiers was making the war very hard to fight. Not only that but the cost of lifes was so high it also clime the lifes of the main 6. That brought a tear to the unicorn stallion's eye as he remembers holding his little sister in his arms before she gave out her final breath of air and passes away. Soon after two months after that not only he lost his little sister but also his mother, father, wife, and young daughter to a engineered sickness over at the Crystal Empire. Shining Armor tried to go over there but Luna stopped him in order to save his life as she made a complete sphere over and under the empire to make sure that the sickness was forever locked away.

Then Shining Armor remembers that the only one of his family was still alive is his adopted little brother, Spike the baby dragon, who ran away to the dragon lands after Twilight's death. The unicorn stallion just sighs as he looks at his over the trench to see the land that was once called the Everfree Forest was nothing more than a land of mud, dead trees, and broken weapons. This was a sigh that not only the war has costing lifes but it was also making Equestria itself looked like a wasteland in every forest, city, town, lake, marrow, and beach that make even the evil unicorn, King Sombra, to looked away.

Shining Armor knows that this war will be the end of Equestria and there's no way to stop it unless Princess Luna finds a way to end this war and bring Equestria back to its formerself. The unicorn stallion was about to go back into the trench until he sees something at the over side of the enemy trench and when he did his eyes widen in shock before shouting. "INCOMING." And giant fire balls was hitting the trench he was in. Shining Armor and his fellow guards was dodging from left to right as they was trying to find a way to put the fires until one landed right next to Shining Armor and he hits his head on the ground hard.

The unicorn stallion's vision was going in and out with Shining Armor seeing his men trying to put out the fires but right before he went completely black out he might have just saw Princess Luna hovering above the trench and her horn giving out one huge magical wave then everything was dark.

The unicorn stallion was starting to open his eyes as he can see a very rocky ceiling that was moving. Shining Armor tried to get up but a grey hand touched his chest and pushed him back down. "Please don't move, your body is still recovering." Came a female voice and the unicorn stallion couldn't believe his eyes what he was seeing in front of him.

A thestral mare with a very dark purple mane and a grey fur coat. She was wearing a black armor chest piece that only covering her C-cup breasts, and pair of black shoulder armors on her shoulders, a crimson red loincloth between her legs, a cutie mark of a blood moon with a black sword behind it, and finally a pair of black boots on her feet. Shining Armor had never in his life ment a thestral before as he was with the royal guard and not the night guard. "Now hold still while l check your leg." The thestral mare said as Shining Armor can see that he was in a wagon inside a large underground tunnel with himself laying down on a bed inside the wagon. The wagon was also being pulled by a pair of timber wolfs of the black wood kind.

The unicorn stallion can also see that the thestral mare was working on some burns on his right leg and also sees one more thing... all that he was wearing was a yellow blanket covering his lower parts. "Uh Where are my clothes?" Shining Armor asked.

"I had to peel them off of you after you took that big hit from that fireball." The thestral mare answered while putting some green powder on his leg. "There that should heal your leg in no time. And don't worry this is not the first time I see a naked stallion." That made Shining Armor to blush a little. "(chuckle) You cute when you do that Shining Armor."

"Well since you know my name, how about I know your name mmm?"

"OH of course where are my matters. My name is Moonlight Blossom but everypony calls me Blossom for short."

"Well then Blossom, can you please tell me where we are going?"

"Simple l am taking you to my home. That was Princess Luna's orders." That made Shining Armor to rise a eyebrow to hear that.

"Why would Princess Luna ordered that? I still have to fight a war."

"Because the war is finally over... with no one winning it." Blossom said making the unicorn stallion to looked at her in shock. "Right after you black out Daybreaker came up and was fighting Luna. But before the fight Princess Luna order me to make you ready for the Future Program."

"What's the Future Program?"

"The Future Program is something that Princess Luna made just in case something would ever happen to Equestria and with no Equestria the pony species would go extinct. She created a world that is completely underground that Daybreaker would never will find it." Then Blossom grabs hold a bottle with a red heart on it and a pink potion in it. "Now drink this." The thestral mare then hands it over to the unicorn stallion.

"What is this?" Shining Armor asked looking at the potion with a very confuse face.

"Just a little something to help you get ready for the program." Shining Armor doesn't know what to do but if Princess Luna did send down here for Equestria then he will fellow his orders as he drinks the whole potion down his throat. After taking the potion, Shining Armor puts the bottle down on the wagon floor as they were coming up to a opening. "Ahh good, we are here." Blossom said while grabbing the ropes for the black wood timber wolfs and made them stop. When the unicorn stallion got up he couldn't believe his eyes.

It was a underground city that was ten times bigger that of Canterlot with towers that was connected to both the ground and the ceiling, regular size houses, restaurants, and finally there was a large mass of crystals on the ceiling giving off a moonlight glow to the city all around below.

Shining Armor have never seen such a beautiful city like this before as he was tiring the blanket around his waist. The unicorn stallion noticed that very few ponies was out with the ponies being thestrals guards. "Hey where is everypony?" Shining asked Blossom.

''OH it's night time here. See that mass of crystals." Blossom said pointing at the crystals. "The crystals work like the sun and moon with that moonlight glow showing that it's night and when it's time for the day they will glow a firely yellow like the sun."

"Very clever." Shining remarked.

"That's what I said when I first got here. So let me be the first pony to introduce you to Moonbright City." Then she made the timber wolfs to move again into the city. As they were going into the city Shining Armor can see that all of the buildings was made out of pure steel with many different paint jobs on them. So after making many rights, lefts, and passing some guards they came to a stop in front of a house with a pink and purple paint job on it. "This is my house and believe me this is the most comfortable house of the whole city." Then she unhooked the timber wolfs and they layed down on the front yard as Blossom was bringing Shining Armor into the house by holding on to his left arm.

When they got inside the house Shining Armor can see that the whole house was looking like a giant version of a bedroom. There was still a refrigerator, a stove, and a row of shelves with food on them on the left side but on the right there was a square shaped clothes rack with mares clothes on it, a black wood nightstand in a shape of a heart, and rights next to the nightstand was a bed that was a circle and big enough to have seven ponies on it. The bed itself had some bright purple sheets and blankets with five light blue body pillows and a pink transparent veil hanging over it including covering the whole bed in transparent pink.

Shining Armor can also see a chandelier with some light bulbs on it on the ceiling before all of a sudden he started to get very sleepy. Blossom saw this and thought to herself. "The potion is taking effect. Time to get 'her' ready." Then the thestral mare took Shining Armor to the bed and as soon he saw it, he fell down head first and he was out like a light. Blossom chuckle at that before she takes off all of her clothes and goes to sleep right next to the sleeping stallion. Then the unicorn was to glow pink while still sleeping.

The unicorn was starting to wake up and can see a yellow glow from the windows which it means that it was morning. Then the unicorn got off the bed and just noticed that was a bathroom right next to the bed and how the unicorn missed that the unicorn will may never know. So the unicorn went to the bathroom to look at the mirror and when the unicorn did...

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."

Came a mares scream as the unicorn was no longer a he but a she. A unicorn mare was staring back at her with C-cup breasts and being slightly smaller than the unicorn was before. "I see that your awake." Came Blossom's voice and when the unicorn mare looked back at the bathroom door she sees a completely naked thestral mare... with a two foot long shaft between her legs. "What? Never seen a futa mare before?"

"Why in the world l am a mare?" The unicorn demanded. "Why l am like this?"

"Relax you still have some parts of your old body." Blossom said pointing at the yellow blanket still tied around the unicorn's waist. When the unicorn mare undid the blanket, she can see that she still has her own shaft but it was slightly smaller than it was before. "See? You still have it... for the time being that is."

"But why l am a mare?"

"Because this was Princess Luna's vision. It's like I said last night. When Equestria is no more, the pony race goes extinct. And you might haven't noticed but the war costing a whole lot of 'mare' lifes. And so with a lot of stallions and very few mares to go around, the princess gave us thestrals the means to make stallions into mares to make sure that the pony race does not go extinct."

"But I don't want to be a mare." The unicorn mare snapped. "I will just talk with Princess Luna about this, she will straightened this out."

"You're forgetting about l said last night. I said that no one won the war. And I do mean no one."

The unicorn mare's eyes widen in disbelief when she heard that. "You m-mean?"

"Unfortunately yes. They're all gone. Princess Luna, Daybreaker, and any pony left up there on the surface. They. Are. All. Gone."

The unicorn mare started to tear up to hear that the war has cost Equestria itself and that she has failed to stop it from happening.

"I know how you are feeling. Believe me l know how it feels to lose your first home but there was nothing we can do for the past as we can only look to the future. That was what Princess Luna sacrificed her life for, a chance to make sure that all of the pony species will not go extinct."

The unicorn mare started to think about for a moment. If she really did saw Luna during that final battle then she must have sacrificed her own life in to make sure that Shining Armor will survive for the future. Unicorn still doesn't want to be a mare but if Princess Luna wanted her to be a mare then she has no choice in the matter. "Alright I will be a mare but I still don't like it."

"Ahh good. Now let's get you some clothes... Gleaming Shield." Then Blossom went to the clothes rack.

"Gleaming Shield?"

"Yes. From now on that is your new name." Then the thestral mare came back with a light pink thong, golden metal cuffs, and a black collar. "Here you go."

"What?"

"Just put it on." Then Blossom pushed Gleaming Shield back into the bathroom with the clothes. Soon a couple of minutes Blossom was wearing her armor and loincloth again and Gleaming Shield was wearing the thong with a small bump on it, golden cuffs on her wrists and ankles, and the black collar around her neck. "Ahh aren't you the cutest little thing." Then Blossom connects a leash to the collar making Gleaming Shield very uneasy.

"What's with the leash?" Then the unicorn mare remembers something. "And why do you have a... um... shaft?"

"You have much to learn about thestral society my dear little unicorn. But for now let me show your new home and your new Meaning of Life." Then Blossom drags Gleaming Shield out of the house and begins to teach the unicorn her new life.
