Ever since Doctor Second Wind had first hired mercenaries to escort her during her dangerous errands and eventually ended up joining their group, she experienced various adventures. As she usually is in most of her relationships, she had a strict business relationship with the group. The only exception was the bright and cheery extroverted mare Brass Bolts, who managed to captivate and thaw a few layers of the stoic doctor's cold heart. But it was only recently that she learned that her pretty and feminine best friend had the equipment of a stallion despite being comfortable being addressed as a mare.

During a time where the group wasn't occupied with a job, it was accorded that Brass would pay her estranged family a visit she was putting off for a long time now. But the mare can't do this alone. Brass is counting on her friend Second Wind to provide emotional support. And with how tense and awkward things were going she's gonna need all the support that she can take from Windy.

This is my first finished fic I'm publishing based on the setting and characters from an RPG campaign I was a part of year ago and I'm really proud of it! Second Wind is my OC from that campaign and Brass Bolts' is from a friend's. This story is based on the friendship dynamic they had in the game.

I intend to write more about my OCs and a lot more of plot about Second Wind in the future but I write incredibly slow. So don't expect a sequel to come out soon even though I would wish to write it soon. :v
