Aku the shogun of friendship?
Prologue: long ago I became Aku
Mc pov
I was at a cartoon convention dressed as my favorite cartoon villain, the one and only Aku from samurai Jack, when I came upon the most interesting vender I’ve ever seen.
“Greetings! It is I, Aku!”
“Indeed it is, I bid thee welcome O mighty shogun of sorrow”
He was a somewhat odd looking fellow in a dark cloak and with red glowing eyes under his hood, so this is the infamous displacer I have heard rumors of.
“So I hear you're the one to talk to if one desires to start a new life as a fictional character in a fictional world?”
“That would be correct and judging by your costume I think I can guess who you wish to become?”
“You are also be correct I wish to truly become the great and mighty Aku”
“Well in that case drink this and you shall be transported to a world and time of your choosing”
“Excellent Hahaha!”
I take the offered pitch black elixir and gulp it down in one go
“Muahahaha! Be prepared equestria, now you shall meet the master of masters”
3rd person pov
And with that our protagonist vanishes in a flash of darklight, with the vendor smirking and chuckling at another job well done.
We cut to the world of eques, where in the sky hurtling towards a monster infested wasteland is a large black meteorite, that hits the ground with enough force to incinerate the entire area and all the monsters in it, and creating a shockwave that is felt around the world, but in the crater rather than flames or the remains of the meteorite, is a pool of dark ooze, that seems to reak of malicious intent and all encompassing darkness. Over the eons the dark pool would absorb any and all lifeforms that came anywhere near it, and with each absorption black tree like spikes sprouted out of the ground surrounding the pool creating a foreboding ever expanding forest of evil as the pony population have been calling it since it was first discovered centuries ago, but after all this time the forests continued expansion now threatens a village on the edge of the newly founded kingdom of equestria, and so the kingdoms young rulers, princess celestia and princess luna, have set out on a mission to destroy the darkness by attacking it at its source, the pool of all encompassing darkness itself.
Royal sisters pov
With our most experienced gourds at our side and magic elixir in our possession, we embark on a most dangerous quest to stop the plague on our lands that is this most foul and evil forest, but to insure the problem is dealt with once and for all we must venture to the dark pool at the heart of the forest, where no pony has ever returned from before, but if we want to save our subjects then we have no choice but to see this through.
“Captain, are we ready to depart?” asked celestia
“Yes your majesty!” replied the captain
And with that we set off, and within ten minutes we reach the edge of the evil forest and with no small amount of fear but also determination, we enter the woods and make haste towards the heart of the darkness. And about halfway to our target the forest comes alive and starts picking off the gourds one by one until me and my sister are the only ones left, and after fighting through the remaining stretch we arrive at our destination, the pool of all encompassing darkness.
“Now tia we shall end this most foul plague once and forevermore!”
“Agreed sister, let us end this now!”
And so lulu prepared the potion while I summoned a magic flaming arrow, after the arrow was doused with the potion I fired it into the dark pool, but just when it seemed it was all finally over the pool started bubbling and the ground started to shake.
3rd person pov
The two princess can only watch in shock and horror as a massive dark piller rises from the depths of the darkness, it continues to rise until it towers over all the other trees in the forest, once complete the piller had taken the form of something not of this world, it was a horrific being with a demonic looking green face and tusks protruding out of its mouth, giving its sleeping face a perpetual grimace, and it also had a long orange goatee, eyebrows made of fire and six large curved horns surrounding its head, and as it stretched itself as if waking from a long slumber it revealed long arms with spiked shoulders and elbows, as well as sharp claws on all of its fingers, and to make it even more horrifying reality itself seemed to reject the demons presence, resulting in an unnatural omnipresent hum following the demon wherever it went, and after finishing its stretching witch sounded like the groaning and snapping of wood, the demon reaches up into the sky and warps the very clouds until the sun is completely covered, with nothing but a faint gray glow as the sun tries in vain to pierce the shadows that now cover the land, and with that the demon now opens its large eyes with dark pupils, looking around until they come upon the forms of the shocked and horrified princess far below him,
“ooh! You two, thank you!” said the demon pointing one of its fingers at them
“NO! We were trying to destroy you!” said celestia
“oh? Hahaha! But it was your poison arrow and magic mumbo jumbo that set me free Muahahaha!”
The two princesses proceed to fire magic blasts at the demon but they have no effect.
“ooh FOOLS! Nothing of this world can harm me, for I am Aku, the shogun of sorrow, the deliverer of darkness and your new master, and you shall both bow to me”
The two pony’s combine their magic for one massive blast, but it also has no effect.
“ehehe pony fools, it seems I must show this world who is master”
The now named Aku then proceeded to cover the two royals in his ooze and drag them into the depths from which he arose, and then raise them back up stuck to a giant tree stump.
“now bare witness to the full wrath of the mighty Aku”
Aku then stretched his way over to ponyville and started destroying it.
“NOOO!” shouted both princesses
But as just as all hope seems lost, a large stag appears and lets the two pony’s down and telepathically tells them to follow him as he will take them to a place that will provide them with the means to defeat Aku, the two royals agree and follow the stag to a undisturbed part of the forest where everything is still green and pristine, and at the center of this area is a cave and in the cave are two rainbow swords, each one resonating with either of the sisters, knowing what they must do they pick up the swords and majestic armor forms on them, now ready for battle they exit the cave and take flight to engage Aku and defeat the evil, for real this time
Aku pov
Oh how good it feels to be free from that pit at last, and to be freed by the royal sisters trying to destroy me at that, how truly amusing, and now I am can finally show these insects their place, beneath me and under my dark rule, and look now the soldiers are attempting to stop me, how cute.
“ahahah! Attack all you like pathetic pony fools! Your efforts are as meaningless as your very lives!”
I say as I send their arrows back at them and deflect their spears and magic blasts, laughing all the while at their useless attempts to harm the mighty and immortal Aku. Just then I hear a familiar set of voices shout out from the sky.
“STOP THINE ASSAULT ON OUR SUBJECTS AT ONCE YOU FIEND!”
And low and behold there they are, the two foolish rulers of this land. And they now have shining new armor and obnoxious rainbow colored swords, how quaint.
“Well well, what have we here? Back to be utterly crushed before my might once more? Or perhaps you've come to beg for your kingdom to be spared?”
“No demon, we have not come to beg, but to DEMAND! That you cease your attack and leave our lands and NEVER RETURN! Or we shall smite thee” replied luna
“Oh really? Ahahaha! Fools! And here I thought you would have learned, you can not stop me, NOTHING! CAN MUAHAHAHA!”
But then they both slashed at me with their swords and the unthinkable happened.
“th-t THAT HURT! HOW DARE YOU INSOLENT F-”
But before I could finish that sentence, they were on me again so to avoid them I transformed into a great eastern dragon and went high into the sky to do battle with them, I breathed fire at them but they dodged and kept attacking me, so I turned into a small bird to avoid them, then I went back to the ground and became a giant crab that started fighting them with claws and tough armor, but even the armor of this form was not immune to their swords, they still cut through me like butter, with few options left and my reserves of strength weakening, I returned to my now smaller true form and blasted them with all the might I could currently muster in the form of beams of pure magic fired from my eyes.
“I WILL NOT LOSE TO THE LIKES OF YOU FOOLS! NOW BEGONE!”
But to my shock and horror, they simply used their swords to block my attack, and worse yet I could feel my power and myself as a whole being pulled into the swords.
“NO! THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE! NO ONE CAN BEAT AKU! NO ONE!”
But my protests went unheeded as I found myself now trapped in the swards.
3rd person pov
“We did it, TIA! WE DID IT!
“That we did lulu, that we did”
Suddenly the stag appeared once more telling the two pony’s to follow him once more, and he led them back into the woods, where upon his instruction the used the swords to imprison Aku within a great tree, never to be released again, and after that they were told to plant the swords into the ground, upon doing this they grew into a giant crystal tree with crystal fruit, and thus the elements of harmony were born, and like the swords that spawned them they would go on to be used to stop many future threat, but for now there was peace but this was not the end for Aku, no, the shogun of sorrow would one day return, but when he does will he be our destruction or perhaps just maybe, a bit of kindness will go a long way.
