the British Speedfreak vs. Senna's throttle technique
It's a normal day on the legendary Nordschleife. Apple Lauda takes a few cruising laps around his beloved racetrack. Yet again, he has destroyed many of his victims by a huge margin. Also he smashed his own lap record by half a second, which stands now at a blistering 6:29.9 minutes, making it the first ever sub 6:30 minutes lap in Equestria's motorsport history. This lap time came into the newspaper, causing a certain stallion to try to set the Nürburgring God an end of his dominance.
"so Apple Lauda is behind all of this? Let's see if he can handle me" Danger says as he makes his way to Nürburg with his Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO. A few hours later, he arrives at the scene, seeing Apple Lauda flying by at 270 km/h on the Döttinger Höhe straight. "Just you wait Nürburgring God... I will try my best in order to stop you" Danger says to himself. He enters the Nordschleife and pulls into the pits, where Apple Lauda and his girlfriend Silverstream are already waiting for him.
Danger introduces himself. "So, you are the great Apple Lauda am I right? My name is Danger Dean and I have noticed your speed. Let's see if you can keep up with me."
"nice to meet you Danger Dean, and yes you're right. I am the great Apple Lauda. Welcome in the green hell by the way" Apple Lauda says.
"the green hell?" Danger asks in confusion. Then he realises what it means. "Ooooh... I think I have heard about the Nordschleife, even before you started terrorizing this place."
Silverstream giggles. "Terrorizing the place hahahaha. It's my boyfriend's territory after all. Whoever tries to beat him here will lose guranteed" the hippogriff explains. "I'm Silverstream, nice to meet you Danger"
Danger starts laughing. "really?! Who in Equestria is responsible for this?"
"My strongest ally, the Eifel Gods" Apple Lauda explains.
"There are no gods around here... Also I have practiced in the simulator a lot. My fastest time is a 6:30.1" Danger explains.
"You are not even close to my sweetie's time" Silverstream starts teasing as Apple Lauda starts laughing.
"APPLE LAUDA NEVER DIES!!!!!" the Nürburgring God shouts. "I wish Technoblade would be still alive..."
"I know that you're using a special throttle technique. How is this even working?!" Danger asks.
"I'm entering and exiting the corners quicker than normal drivers do. I don't brake as hard or for as long" Apple Lauda answers.
Danger Dean is not called the British Speedfreak for nothing. He starts his flying lap and sets a 6:30.095 which causes Apple Lauda to sigh in fear. "Let's see if you can beat this Nürburgring God!!!" the British Speedfreak exclaims.
"I admit that this is a fast time really. Looks like I have to use my godmode again" Apple Lauda says as he goes on the Nordschleife.
Danger gulps. "yeah I think he will beat me since he knows everything about the track."
Silverstream looks at the onboard camera of Apple Lauda's Dodge Viper GT3-R he's been driving for a while since he swapped from the BMW M6 GT3 a year prior. "Oh my gosh he's flying!!!! THAT'S MY SWEETHEART!!!" Silverstream cheers.
Suddenly, Apple Lauda loses the conscious understanding of driving at the Foxhole. He has entered godmode and merges with the Nordschleife.
"This will be a close call there" Danger admits as Apple Lauda goes over the curb at 220 km/h but doesn't go off track. "HOW DID HE DO THAT?! EVERY TIME I GO THAT FAST, I GO OFF THE TRACK, RIGHT INTO THE BARRIERS!!!!" the British Speedfreak yells.
"The Nordschleife is carrying him along the lap. He has fully connected with the Nordschleife. It's a mental state that makes Apple Lauda look like a god" Silverstream explains.
A few minutes later, the Nürburgring God goes over the two jumps at Pflanzgarten like it's nothing for him, taking the double right at Pflanzgarten 1 (first jump into double right) at about 180 km/h.
"and I thought my time was fast... I mean just look at him go!!!" Danger shouts.
Apple Lauda enters the Döttinger Höhe a few moments later. "oh man... I feel like cruising instead of racing"Apple Lauda says as he goes through the final corners.
The Nürburgring God finishes his lap with a insane time of 6:29.7 minutes, which means that he just smashed his own lap record. Danger Dean is in pure shock.
"alright I guess maybe I should go l out right off the bat" Danger Dean mumbles.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH SHIT!!!! I COULD HAVE GONE FASTER!!! I TOTALLY MISSED THE ESCHBACH SECTION!!!!" Apple Lauda yells in rage.
Danger Dean is in disbelief as well as Silverstream. "There is no way that he just went on the grass, missed the corner and cracked his own lap record in the process!!!" the British Speedfreak exclaims.
"I didn't know he can do that!!!!" Silverstream says with a shaky voice.
"alright Apple Lauda, you think you can go faster, then think again!!!" Danger Dean says as he gets with his Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO on the starting grid. Apple Lauda's senses are sharpened as he pulls up to the grid.
As the lights go out, Apple Lauda and Danger Dean are racing towards the Nordkehre but Apple Lauda maintains the lead and starts building up the gap he's used to build up. Danger Dean however manages to keep up with him, much to Apple Lauda's surprise. As the two drivers race through Hatzenbach, Apple Lauda fails to increase the gap but in Hocheichen, he can increase the gap again. The gap is now 0.5 seconds.
"Now you will have to fight for the win!!!" Danger Dean shouts. "The Eifel Gods won't help you this time"
"it's too late Danger... it's over... I won... I have merged with the Nordschleife again" Apple Lauda responds. "I don't feel anything anymore... everything has become an automated process"
As the two racers are going through Flugplatz, Apple Lauda increases the gap to 0.7 seconds by not shifting into 6th gear, causing a faster exit. Silverstream is cheering her boyfriend on. But Danger has now the slipstream on Apple Lauda and goes past him before Schwedenkreuz. Danger starts laughing. "catch me if you can" the British Speedfreak shouts.
"just wait until we're at Döttinger Höhe" Apple Lauda says in belief in victory.
Danger Dean goes with 210 km/h over the curb of the Foxhole exit, whilst Apple Lauda full sends it at 220 km/h but in the process, Apple Lauda starts sliding but manages to get the entry of the Adenauer Forst chicane.
"that was critical there" Danger Dean exclaims.
"it was nothing... I mean I trust in the Eifel Gods" Apple Lauda mumbles.
Apple Lauda chases Danger Dean down like a lion would chase a antelope. This goes on until the two reach Galgenkopf.
Apple Lauda starts laughing evily. "now you're mine!!!"
Apple Lauda gets a slightly worse exit than Danger Dean but is in slipstream range as the Nürburgring God uses every bit of it but Danger Dean goes to the left to defend his position but Apple Lauda overtakes at about 280 km/h, going into Antoniusbuche. Danger Dean desperately tries to overtake Apple Lauda at the Hohenrain chicane, but the British Speedfreak fails to do so. Only one more corner to go, which is T13. Apple Lauda goes through the corner first but starts sliding on the exit. Danger closes the gap as it's now a drag race to the finish line. It's a photo finish!!!!
"oh my gosh!!! BEST RACE EVER!!!" Silverstream cheers as she walks over to the finish line camera who declares the winner of this intense battle. Apple Lauda and Danger Dean pull into the pits and join Silverstream.
Apple Lauda could not believe his eyes by how close it was.
"if I had a better exit, I would have gotten you" Danger Dean says.
"oh my goodness... oh my goodness... I... I almost 'killed' myself there" Apple Lauda says as he reallises that he won by a thousand of a second. "Heilige Nürburg!!!"
Danger chuckles. "you were lucky in the end, that's all... Next time, it won't end well for you" the British Speedfreak exclaims as Silverstream pulls Apple Lauda in a tight hug.
"is she your girlfriend?" Danger asks.
"yes... UGH!!! can't... breathe!!!" Apple Lauda gasps for air as Silverstream loosens the hug a bit.
Danger Dean chuckles. "turn him into wiener schnitzel Silverstream when you race him."
Silverstream giggles. "I have planned to do this anyways because I got destroyed by him before."
