The Story Continues...

A full moon shone brightly over a forest. Crickets chirped and owls hooted. Meanwhile, a young couple was walking down the street. A stallion was pulling a cart while his mare-friend walked beside him. The mare was feeling a bit nervous as she and her colt-friend were walking. The eerie sound of owls hooting and crickets chirping were creeping her out. Her colt-friend noticed this. “Babe, what’s wrong?” He asked her. “I-It’s nothing.” The mare replied with a nervous smile. The stallion came to a stop and looked at her with concern. “Come on, Sadie. I can tell when something is bothering you.” The stallion said, raising an eyebrow. Sadie sighed, knowing her colt-friend knew her too well. “I’m sorry, Leo, I’m just a little… nervous.” She confessed, looking to the ground sadly. Leo wrapped a leg around her. “Don’t worry, babe. I know you’re not a big fan of the dark and don’t like scary stuff, but I promise that you have nothing to worry about.” He said, reassuringly. Sadie felt a little better, but she was still a bit nervous. “Unless a huge and scary monster comes to eat us.” Leo joked and started laughing. “Babe! Don’t make jokes like that!” Sadie scolded with a cute pout. “Heh, sorry. Come on, we’re not too far from the cabin now.” Leo replied, then he and Sadie continued walking.

A few minutes later, Sadie saw something on a light pole that caught her attention. She walked over to it and saw it was a poster of a missing mare. The mare was a unicorn. She had a red mane and tail, light yellow fur, and blue eyes. Her name… was Rose. She had gone missing two years ago. Sadie gasped and Leo came over. “What is it?” He asked her and Sadie showed him the poster. “Rose? She looks…familiar.” Leo said, placing a hoof under his chin. Sadie was beginning to feel uneasy. “Leo, m-maybe we should head back home.” She said nervously. “What? Babe, we’re almost there. Besides, the train we took won’t be back until Monday.” Leo replied and Sadie sighed. “Look, wherever that poor mare is, I’m sure she’ll be found soon. But as I said before, there’s nothing to worry about.” Leo said. Sadie still felt uneasy, but she nodded and they kept walking.

A few minutes later, they entered the forest. It was eerie, but Sadie tried to ignore it. Suddenly, something rushed by. “AAH!” She jumped back in surprise. “Haha, babe. It’s only a squirrel.” Leo said, trying to hold back a laugh. Sadie looked down and saw that it really was a squirrel. The squirrel sniffed, then ran off into the night. “Stupid squirrel…” Sadie muttered, then she and Leo kept walking. It wasn’t long before they saw the cabin. “There it is.” Leo said, then they walked towards it. As they were walking, Sadie heard a noise. It sounded like… chuckling. Deep chuckling that didn’t sound like it was coming from a pony. Her eyes widened and she turned around. “D-Do you hear that?” She asked Leo, catching his attention. “What?” He asked her, raising an eyebrow.

“Delicious meat. Must eat…” A voice said, but only Sadie heard it. Her breathing quickened. “Whoa, whoa, babe! What’s wrong?!” Leo yelled with concern. Sadie quickly took a deep breath to calm herself down. “I-I heard somepony chuckling, only it didn’t sound like a pony! After that they said ‘Delicious meat. Must eat’”. Sadie quickly replied.

“Wait, what?!” Leo asked surprised, then looked out into the forest. There were only trees and a few patches of grass. “Hey, is there any pony out there?!” He asked, but there was no response. Except for crickets chirping and owls hooting. “I.. I could’ve sworn that I heard somepony…” Sadie said and looked at the ground. She felt very silly and thought it may have been her imagination. “I’m sorry, Leo.” She apologized. “Hey, don’t worry. Come on, let’s head inside, unpack, then eat some grub.” Leo replied with a smile. Sadie smiled back. Leo detached from the cart, then pulled out a key. He unlocked the door, then opened it. “Head on in and check it out. I’m gonna grab our stuff from the cart.” Leo said. Sadie nodded and headed inside. The cabin was nice and cozy. She looked around for a bit, checking out the other rooms.

Minutes after she was done, she walked towards a window and looked out of it. She could see the moon shining brightly. It looked so big. Sadie smiled, then she looked into the forest. It was still dark, but the moonlight shining on it helped her see it better. Suddenly, she saw a shadowy figure in the distance. It was large and appeared to be hiding behind a tree. “W-What? What is that?” Sadie asked and squinted her eyes. Despite this, she still couldn’t see the shadowy figure well. She couldn’t tell if it was a pony or an animal. Before she could do anything else, the shadowy figure quickly disappeared. Sadie gasped and her eyes widened a bit. What was that shadowy figure? Why was it hiding behind a tree? Why did it vanish? Did it notice Sadie was watching it? Whatever the case, Sadie sighed and tried to reassure herself it might’ve been her imagination. “Calm down, Sadie. There’s nothing to be afraid of. You and Leo are going to have a nice, relaxing vacation.” She said to herself. Suddenly, she felt something touch her. “AAH!” She screamed and quickly turned around. “Whoa, whoa! Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.” Leo apologized.

“Leo, don’t do that! You know I don’t like being surprised!” Sadie scolded, making Leo chuckle. “My bad. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I brought our stuff in.” He said, pointing a hoof to their bags. “O-Oh. Okay.” Sadie replied. They grabbed their bags and headed upstairs. “The main bedroom should just be up here.” Leo said and Sadie replied with a nod. After they reached the top, Leo noticed a door. “That must be it. Come on.” He said, then he and Sadie walked towards the door. Leo touched the doorknob, then twisted it. The door opened. The room was dark, quiet, and had an eerie feeling to it. Sadie shuddered and Leo walked in. He carefully searched for a light switch, rubbing his hoof against the wall. At last, he found one and switched on the light.

“There we go.” He said, then grabbed his bag and placed it on the bed. He began to unpack as Sadie watched in silence. He looked over at her. “Uh, babe? Aren’t you going to unpack?” He asked her. “O-Oh, yeah. Sorry.” Sadie said, then began to unpack too. Minutes after unpacking, Sadie opened a drawer to place a few of her clothes in. Suddenly, she saw a newspaper. “A newspaper? What’s it doing in the drawer?” She asked. Perhaps someone left it behind or something. She pulled it out, then noticed something on it that caught her attention. There was a title that read, ‘Mysterious Disappearances' and Murders’. Her eyes widened a bit as she began to read in silence. There were multiple photos of ponies missing or being found murdered in the most gruesome ways. The police were trying to find the suspect behind them, but had no luck. And it looks like to this day, they were still happening. “Sweet Celestia…” Sadie said softly.

She read more and discovered all the ponies that disappeared or murdered were close to the area and Leo were in right now. She gasped and began to feel uneasy. Leo came over and noticed the newspaper in her hoof. “Where’d that newspaper come from?” He asked her. “B-Babe, take a look.” Sadie said, and handed him the newspaper. Leo read through some of it and his eyes widened a bit. “Okay…that’s scary.” He said. “T-The area is close to where we are. I-I don’t like this. I really think we should leave.” Sadie said, sounding scared. Leo wrapped his front leg around her and held her close. “Don’t worry, it’s gonna be okay. I won’t let anything happen to you. I promise.” He reassured her. “I-I know. I-I’m just spooked.” Sadie replied. “I know, but don’t worry. If some crazy killer fucks with us, I’ll take care of them.” Leo said with confidence. Sadie smiled a bit and embraced Leo, but secretly, she was still scared. “How about I cook us some food, then we get some sleep?” Leo asked her and Sadie nodded. “T-That would be nice. Thanks, babe.” She replied and Leo nodded. He kissed her forehead, then headed downstairs. Sadie took one last look at the newspaper, then continued to unpack and place some of her stuff in the drawer. Later that night, she and Leo ate, then got into bed. They kissed each other goodnight, then fell asleep.

Hours later, Sadie’s eyes shot open and she gasped. She looked around to discover she was no longer in bed. “W-What?” She said, her eyes widening a bit. She looked around again to discover she was no longer in the cabin either. There was nothing except a black void. “What the hell?! W-Where am I?!” She asked, but there was no response. Sadie came to realize that she was alone. Or was she…? She suddenly heard…whispering. Spooky whispering coming from so many voices. Sadie’s breathing quickened, but she tried to remain calm. Suddenly, she heard another voice.

“Sadie…” A voice whispered, making her gasp. “W-Who’s there?” She asked. “You need to leave before it’s too late…” The voice whispered, making her eyes widen in fear. “Don’t let the creature get you…” Said another voice belonging to a female. “C-Creature? W-What are you talking about?” Sadie asked, now scared. “You’re gonna die if you don’t hurry…” Another voice said, also belonging to a female. “You don’t want to be dinner like we were…” Said a raspy and creepy voice belonging to a male. “Runaway or you’ll die too…” The first voice said. Sadie gasped and her eyes widened even more. Suddenly, four ponies appeared, surrounding her. Sadie looked at them with her eyes widened. The four ponies looked at Sadie. Their flesh was rotten and they had eyeless sockets. They smiled at her with razor sharp teeth.

“You’ll die too.” Said the first pony. She was a mare. Sadie gasped when she recognized the mare. It was Rose from the missing poster earlier. “Y-You’re the mare from the missing poste…” Sadie said. “You’ll die too.” Said another pony more intensely, who was also a mare. “You’ll die too!” Said another mare, more intensely. “YOU’LL DIE TOO!” A stallion said, with a creepy and raspy voice. The four ponies laughed at her and Sadie began to shake with fear. Suddenly, Sadie heard a voice. “Delicious meat. Smells so sweet.” It said. She immediately recognized it and turned around. A creature stood there, smiling down at her. It was large and white. The creature had no tail, mane, nor eyes. But it did have white fur, razor sharp teeth, and long, black fingernails that looked sharp enough to pierce flesh. Sadie’s mouth was hanging open with shock and fear. Her pupils dilated and the creature licked its lips. The last thing Sadie saw was the creature lunging at her. She screamed in horror.

Sadie quickly woke up, sweating and breathing quickly. She sat up and quickly tried to calm herself down. When she calmed down, she came to realize that she was still in the cabin and safely in bed. She sighed in relief. “Thank Celestia, it was just a nightmare…” She said, glad that it was over. The nightmare surely was disturbing. “Maybe I am worried over nothing…” She pondered, then noticed that Leo wasn’t in bed. That’s odd, he usually doesn’t get up in the middle of the night. Maybe he was thirsty and decided to get some water. However, something in Sadie’s gut told her to go downstairs. She tried to ignore it, assuring herself that Leo would be back up at any moment, but no matter how hard she tried, her gut kept telling her to do so.

“Damn it…” She sighed, then got out of bed. She walked towards the door, left the room, then headed downstairs. “Leo, are you down here?” She asked, but there was no response. It felt eerie and quiet, which spooked Sadie. “L-Leo, are you down here?” Sadie asked again, but there was still no response. “I swear to Celestia if he’s trying to scare me…” She added, then began walking towards the kitchen. As she made it to the doorway, she stepped into something wet and gooey. “What the…?” She said, confused and raised an eyebrow. She looked down, then her eyes widened. A pool of fresh blood was on the floor.

Sadie began to breathe shakily and couldn't believe what she was seeing. The pool of blood didn’t end there. A trail of it led into the kitchen. Sadie gasped, then she heard the sound of crunching. It sounded like somepony was eating something. Next, she heard the sound of flesh tearing. Her heart began to race and sweat slowly dripped down her face. Slowly, she entered the kitchen. What she saw next, made her eyes fill with tears and widen in terror. There in the kitchen, stood the creature from her dream. It was feeding on the headless and torn in half corpse of Leo. The creature feasted Leo’s entrails. The sight was sickening and Sadie felt sick to her stomach. Suddenly, the creature sniffed and it’s head snapped towards Sadie. Her eyes were wide with fear as the creature stared at her. Its mouth was bloody from feasting on Leo’s corpse. The creature smiled and Sadie could see pieces of Leo’s flesh in its teeth. The creature dropped Leo’s corpse, then licked its lips. “More delicious meat to eat…” The creature said, then roared.

Sadie screamed and the creature rushed at her. Sadie wasted no time and started running as fast as her legs could carry her. The creature raced after her. Despite its large size, its speed was incredible. Sadie bolted for the front door. She tried to open it, but the doorknob wouldn’t turn. “No, please turn!” She begged and tried again. Suddenly, she heard the creature coming up on her fast. “You’re mine now…” The creature said, making Sadie quickly turn around. The creature lunged at her and drew an arm back. In a split second, it swiped at her with its claws. Sadie quickly dodged and the creature's hand hit the door, leaving a large scratch. Sadie wasted no time and quickly ran up the stairs. However, she didn’t get very far as the creature managed to grab the back of her leg. “Got you…” The creature said, smiling. “No! NO!!” Sadie panicked in fear. She didn’t want to be the creature’s next meal. With a free leg, she managed to buck the creature on the nose.

“RAAAH!!!” The creature roared in pain, letting go of Sadie’s leg. Before she could get up and run again, the creature retaliated by slashing the back of her leg. “AAH!” Sadie screamed in pain. Blood began to drip from the back of her leg, but she couldn’t stop now. She quickly got up and with a limp, she continued running up the stairs. When she reached the top, she rushed into the room and slammed the door behind her. She quickly locked it. Suddenly, she heard the sound of heavy footsteps rushing up the stairs. Sadie gasped in horror and her breathing quickened. “W-What do I do?! I have to get out of here!” She yelled, then she saw something out of the corner of her eye. She looked over and saw a window. Wasting no time, she rushed towards it and tried to open it.

“Come on! Open! Please!” She yelled desperately, trying with all her might. The window was unlocked, but it seemed to be stuck. Suddenly, she heard footsteps stop in front of the door. She gasped and looked back. There was silence, but then the creature’s hand came through the door, making a large hole. Sadie screamed, then she saw the creature’s eyeless socket looking at her through the whole. “I see you…” The creature chuckled, then started using its claws to tear down the door. Sadie wasted no time and continued trying to get the window to open. “Come on!!” She yelled, continuously trying with all her might. “I’m gonna get you…” The creature said in a singy-songy tone. Sadie knew she didn’t have much time left and had to get the window open or she would be the creature’s next meal. With a final push, she got the window to open.

Suddenly, the creature managed to knock the door off the hinges and rushed at Sadie. Sadie quickly jumped out of the window and onto the roof. The creature roared and rushed towards the window. It stuck its arm out and tried to swipe at Sadie with its claw, but she was out of reach. “Heh, try to get me now, fucker!” She yelled.

The creature started tearing away at the window and Sadie’s eyes widened. “SHIT!” Sadie yelled and knew she had to move. She quickly hurried along the roof and had to get down. Suddenly, she slipped. “AAH!” She screamed and began sliding down the roof. She tried to stop herself, but couldn’t. A few seconds later, she came across the edge of the roof and fell off of it. “Aaaah!” She screamed, then fell to the ground. “Oomph!” She yelled in pain, then coughed. She looked up and saw the creature was looking down at her from the window. The creature smiled at her, then rushed away from the window. Sadie’s eyes widened.

“Oh no! Oh fuck!” She yelled, then tried to get up. Her body hurt from the fall, but she ignored the pain. “Can’t. Stop. Now…” She said, then forced herself to her feet. Wasting no time, she quickly began running with a limp away from the cabin. Suddenly, the door to the cabin was knocked off the hinges. Sadie’s eyes widened and she knew that the creature had done it. “You won’t get away from me!” The creature yelled, now sounding frustrated. Sadie hurried into the forest, wanting to get away from that damn creature. The creature roared and chased after her. “Oh shit, shit, shit!” Sadie yelled in panic and tried to run faster. Despite the pain, she kept on until she found a large tree. She quickly rushed towards it and hid behind it.

It wasn’t long before she heard the creature’s footsteps. “Where are you…” The creature said, then started sniffing for her scent. Sadie was shaking with fear, but she kept quiet. The creature started moving and Sadie could tell it was coming in her direction. Suddenly, she looked down and saw a large stick. “Wait…” She whispered, then came up with an idea. She quietly grabbed the stick, then threw it hard and as far as she could. The stick landed, catching the creature’s attention. The creature roared, then rushed towards the noise. Sadie quickly made a break for it while the creature was distracted. With a limp, Sadie kept running and running. She was nearly out of breath and wanted to take a breather, but she had to keep going. After what seemed like an eternity of running, she saw a road and ran towards it. When she got onto the road two ponies pulling a carriage quickly came to a stop.

“Jeez lady, are you crazy?!” One of the ponies asked with a country accent. “Yeah, are ya tryin’ to get killed?!” Another pony asked. “Please, you have to help me!” Sadie yelled. The two ponies raised their eyebrows. “Is she on somethin’?” The first pony asked. “Looks like it.” The second pony answered. Suddenly, a head poked out of the carriage. It was a middle aged mare with a frown on her face. “What’s the hold up, boys?” She asked. Before they could answer, the mare saw Sadie, who looked distressed, scared, and a mess. “Oh, sweet Celestia! What happened to you, sweetheart?!” The mare asked with concern.

“S-Something is after me and wants to eat me! It ate my colt-friend and now it wants me!” Sadie yelled in panic. The two stallion’s looked at Sadie like she was crazy. “Wait a minute, darlin’. What do you mean something is trying to--” Before the mare could finish her sentence, the creature rushed into view. “Aaaah!” Sadie screamed. The mare’s eyes widened and she quickly opened the door to the carriage. “Get inside! Hurry!” She yelled and Sadie rushed towards the carriage, hopping inside. The mare quickly shut the door. The creature roared, then licked its lips when it saw the two stallions and the mare.

“More delicious meat…” It said, then smiled. “What the hell is that?!” The first stallion asked. “To hell with what it is, let’s just--” Before the second stallion could finish, the creature lunged at them. “Get away from my boys!!” The mare yelled, then threw a Molotov cocktail at the creature’s face. The glass shattered and the creature’s face caught fire. “RAAAAAH!!!” The creature yelled in pain as the fire burned the skin on its face. The two stallion’s watched in horror. “What the hell are you two waitin’ for?! Move your asses and get us the hell out of here!” The mare yelled.

“Yes, mama!” The two stallions replied, then quickly got a move on. They ran as fast as their legs could carry them while pulling the carriage, it wasn’t long before they were in the distance. The creature ran into the forest, its face still burning. However, it wasn’t long before the fire on its face had gone out. The creature’s face burned, but it ignored the pain and roared in frustration, angry that its meal got away. “I will find you soon. My prey doesn’t escape me that easily…” The creature said, then licked its lips. With quick speed, it took off in the same direction the stallions ran in, but remained in the shadows to avoid being seen. Will Sadie and her rescuers be safe? Or will the creature find them and they come to their demise?
