It's been a year and half since the wedding of Twilight's older brother, and since then the new game called "Duel Monsters" has become increasingly popular throughout pony-kind. Twilight is earnestly fascinated with the game, however she cannot bring herself to admitting that to her friends because she fears that they'd picture her, one of the most mature of the group, as childish. In order to keep her secret under wraps from her friends, she only brings out her deck when her friends are not around. However, this was all destined to change when her friend's lives depended on her win a duel in front of the entirety of Equestria.
