Universe 5. Equestria.

Princess Fluttershy was revealed to have helped save the residents of Alola, appearing in advance seemingly before the Supernova went off. As the power of the Supernova began breaking down all Infinity Energy and Magic that was in Alola down to its simplest forms, the region was undergoing a devastating alteration.

"Afternoon, everypony." She gently waved with a warm smile. "It's been a while, hasn't it? I'm sorry it has taken me this long to be in touch with you again."

"But how did you know...?" Twilight asked.

"I was made aware of the Solar Empire's plan to launch their biggest attack yet to restore Necrozma to his full potential by absorbing all light in the universe. And that would have disastrous consequences." Princess Fluttershy explained. "While you haven't seen me for a while, I have been keeping in touch with Princess Celestia. My universe hasn't been invaded or lost its light like most other universes."

"Did you have a spy or something?" Rainbow Dash wondered.

"Mhm. But it's only rather recent, however, it helped to get me here. I figured that Alola would be a hotspot for what comes next since Necrozma has ties to it. I showed up around an hour ago because of that, but it looks like I also showed up when that weapon was about to be used."

"She's the one who gave me this Travel Sphere." Kukui explained, holding up the Travel Sphere. "When she showed up, right away, we were all being sent away and I had to open up a gateway to her universe."

"Wait...her universe?" Twilight blinked before looking around. While all the people of Alola were covering most of the area, Twilight took flight to get a better view of this land. Her eyes widened as she saw several other kingdoms, each one looking different from the last. A few were similar, but still held many differences. It was clearly Equestria but vastly different.

That was because they were all in Princess Fluttershy's Universe. Universe 5. And in the far distance, her version of Canterlot could be seen. It was also possible for all of their energy to be replenished even if this was not their universe. Even the Pokemon weren't exempt from this.

"I didn't want to take any chances, so I figured it would be best to evacuate everyone and bring them here to my universe. That way, the Solar Empire couldn't hurt anyone else." Princess Fluttershy said. "You'll be back to your full selves in my Universe. It's been involved with Pokemon recently so Infinity Energy is available here as well."

"But how come all of you didn't feel its effects?" Rainbow Dash looked at Wicke and all the other humans.

"I guess it's because we don't have to worry about magic or Infinity Energy." Wicke chuckled. "The worst we'll have to ever worry about is Aura, but not all of us are so loaded with it~"

"Come to think of it...Why wasn't our Aura affected?" Kiawe wondered. "It's as important as Infinity Energy, isn't it?"

"From what I can tell, the Supernova doesn't threaten anything that keeps you all alive. Aura is a strong part of your lifeforce and I don't think even Daybreaker wants you all to perish. Well...she does want to have Necrozma absorb you which isn't any better." Princess Fluttershy suspected that to be true.

"Either way, I say we go back there and break that thing!" Rainbow Dash immediately wanted to destroy the Supernova.

"No way." Twilight shook her head. "If we go back there, it won't be stable at all. You saw what was happening with Alola. The place was falling apart. I don't know what will happen to Alola afterwards..." She said. "That Supernova is something else."

"I can help you with that. Everyone from Alola can stay here for the time being for their own safety while you can focus on stopping the Supernova and Daybreaker as a whole. My universe hasn't been affected by any of this yet, so I believe it is the best option." Princess Fluttershy suggested.

"Really? Because it would be wonderful if you can take us directly to the problem." Rarity added.

"I have a plan for you all that might work. But I'll need to hear everything you've been through so that it can work out."

Universe 1. Alola.

Back at Universe 1, right at Alola, the Supernova had largely done its job, reducing most of the world into nothing but barren wasteland. What was once beautiful beaches were now just dirt. A paradise was reduced to its simplest elements without any of its wonders.

The Solar Empire had taken this chance to claim this region for themselves as their machines roamed around. They were the only ones who were able to function in a world where all Infinity Energy was taken away.

There were some Pokemon who remained, trying to hide from them as they would be targeted as fuel for Necrozma. If the Solar Empire found any Wild Pokemon, it would be a hunt. Most Pokemon have escaped the area, but there were still some who hid.

Sunrise Sparkle searched for Twilight and the others, losing them thanks to that spare gateway. She didn't find them whatsoever, no matter how hard she searched.

"Tch..." She grunted. "We don't even know where they went..." She uttered. "But I doubt they've returned to Equestria. They probably escaped to some other universe. With Solgaleo, no less."

"Commander. The Tapus. They're still resisting the Supernova's power." One of the soldiers reported, turning Sunrise Sparkle's attention to what was happening in the distance. While the Supernova was still going off, the Tapus, much like Solgaleo, were resisting its power. While they were still feeling a dramatic drop in strength, they were able to keep pushing forward.

"Hmph. Stubborn beasts. Get the Supernova out of here. We've already used it to the best of its abilities. Let's not waste its usage on just Alola. We'll deal with the Tapus now that they're this vulnerable. Once we get the Supernova to the next location, we'll activate it again, only this time, it will be far stronger." Sunrise Sparkle commanded her troops.

"Ko!" Tapu Koko and the others kept battling for the sake of their home, even if it was being broken down into nothing but simple elements. They would not let themselves be affected by the Supernova and continue to push back against its influence.

Sunrise Sparkle had teleported to the mountain where the Supernova sat, appearing before the Tapus. "Enough with your games. Everyone else seems to be absent from here, meaning it's just you three now. Admit that you've lost and make this easy on us. Just like what happened in the other universe, you never stood a chance. You're at your weakest, while I am not." She explained.

"Lele..!" Tapu Lele tried to attack Sunrise Sparkle but she easily blasted the Island Guardian away, causing it to roll on the ground. Sunrise then generated a flaming whip that extended from her horn, attempting to strike Tapu Lele with it while she was down. But right before the whip could connect, it was blocked by a wall of water, shielding Tapu Lele.

Tapu Fini managed to shield her ally but soon, a beam of fire was shot from Sunrise's horn, piercing through the wall of water and striking Tapu Fini, sending her flying. Her body crashed against the mountain side. "Fi!" Tapu Fini grunted in pain, trying to stand up but failing to do so.

"So useless. So weak. I'm not even using my full strength." Sunrise taunted. "And you all are supposed to protect Alola? How disappointing." She scoffed. "It's almost a shame that your beloved world is no more. A pity that the light you've grown accustomed to will be gone forever. All that will remain of this place is nothing but darkness."

Tapu Koko, who was struggling to get up, felt his anger building up after hearing that. His fists tightened as he rose to his feet, glaring at Sunrise with fierce eyes. "Koooo!" Crying out at great volumes, Tapu Koko had used Dazzling Gleam to blast Sunrise Sparkle directly, making her grunt and back away.

The rays rained down at high speeds but Sunrise quickly regained her composure and conjured an orb of energy that absorbed these rays before firing them back. This beam of energy blasted Tapu Koko away, knocking him out of the air.

"They still have this much strength to put up a fight?" Even Sunrise was surprised by this. "Legendary Pokemon are something else..."

"Hang on." Captain Spitfire narrowed her eyes, realizing that something was amiss. "Something's not right. There's usually 4 of them, right? Where's Tapu Bulu?"

It was just now that they realized that Tapu Bulu was nowhere to be found. They spent this entire time battling Tapu Koko, Lele and Fini that Tapu Bulu didn't come up once until now. And there were no clear signs of Tapu Bulu anywhere.

"If we can deal with the other three, then we should be able to find Tapu Bulu." Sunrise suggested. "After all, I doubt it can do much. the Supernova has affected all things in Alola after all. It wouldn't surprise me if Tapu Bulu can't even battle right now, lacking the strength to do anything. For now, let's finish up here and-"

In that moment, right beneath all of them, right on top of this large mountain, something powerful emerged from the ground. Something with tremendous power. The very ground shook, causing everyone to lose their footing and fall over. Sunrise Sparkle fell to her knees, trying to stand up. "What...what the?!" She exclaimed.

A being of immense size burst out of the ground, revealing itself to everyone. Tapu Bulu had been lurking underneath the ground, waiting for this moment to strike. But Tapu Bulu didn't just emerge as his usual self. Instead, he emerged as the embodiment of Alola's Wrath. The Z-Move Guardian of Alola. A golden titan of great heights emerged, spreading massive vegetation and plants in a matter of seconds.

This guardian, Tapu Bulu, stood at an incredible height, looking down on everyone that opposed him. All of the Solar Empire's soldiers could not help but stare up at the guardian. Even more shocking was the fact that Tapu Bulu was able to do this all of a sudden, meaning that someone had activated this Z-Move.

"Bulu...!" Holding nothing back, Tapu Bulu put his all into this massive attack while everyone was held down by the vegetation. He clenched the fist of the Golden Titan and struck the ground with immense force, generating a shockwave so great, it struck all the opposing forces.

Even the Supernova was caught up in this as a golden light began to envelop every single one of the Solar Empire's forces, the mountain below them breaking apart. This was Tapu Bulu's only attack as he ran out of power throwing everything he had.

"You...SNEAKY LITTLE!" Sunrise Sparkle yelled with pure rage, her voice becoming distant as she was enveloped by the light, falling down while the mountain crumbled. Tapu Koko had some strength left to fly, quickly zooming over to his friends before they could potentially fall. He scooped them up and carried them away, moving through the sky.

The Supernova, despite being enveloped in the light, proved to have outstanding durability, holding together while everything else around it was breaking apart.

"Buluu..." Tapu Bulu groaned, losing his powers before shrinking back to normal. He thankfully had some vegetation he left behind to catch him. After being caught by his own plants, he was carried by Tapu Koko, who already brought Tapu Lele and Tapu Fini somewhere safe for the time being.

As the dust and smoke all settled, right on the ground, all the ships here were done for. Every last one of them was unable to function thanks to the Z-Move that completely blindsided them all. The mountain from before was now just rubble and rock, reduced to nothing but simple elements.

The gateway that was to send the Supernova back was still present, lingering there, but no longer having a mountain to drop things on it. The Solar Empire's machines weren't spared either as most of them were also rendered useless. The few that remained, however, did not stay active for long.

"Urgh..." Sunrise Sparkle groaned, pushing a huge chunk of rubble off her. She found herself buried beneath the ground, trapped within this massive pile of stone and rock. "This is...embarrassing...Ngh..." She grunted, slowly pulling herself out of the ground. "That blasted Pokemon...! Got us from beneath. But how did it have so much power? The Supernova should've limited it."

Once she was free from the rubble, she got up, wiping the dirt and rocks off her coat. She saw how all ships were unable to continue their functions. This Z-Move was able to render all of their technology useless just like that.

Spitfire and her troops groaned when recovering, their heads spinning as they got up. Sunrise immediately tried contacting Universe 11 but was surprised that the comlink wasn't working. "What...what happened?!" She demanded, using a bit of magic to try and fix it, but to no avail. The devices used in this world weren't working at all. That Z-Move thrashed it all, leaving it broken beyond repair.

"Curse it! We'll get back another way." But they could always return via the gateway that was still in the air, waiting for the Supernova's return. "Once we do, order a vast search for them. Whatever Universe they're hiding in, they won't get far."

"What about the one who used the Z-Move? Obviously, someone had to have made Tapu Bulu pull it off?" Universe 11's Rainbow Dash questioned.

"Whoever it was, they'll pay for this dearly. Some of you, keep searching and find whoever initiated the Z-Move. The rest of you who can fly, come with me. We're heading back at once." Sunrise Sparkle commanded, gathering all of the soldiers that were still active. They had to get some heavy machinery to get the Supernova back to Universe 11 since it was far too heavy to carry, even with magic.

But as they were taking flight, they saw it happen. The gateway was starting to close and shrink.

"No!" Sunrise gasped, seeing the gateway closing. She tried to rush over but it was already too late as the gateway would disappear.

"What...How did this happen?! Wasn't that our only way out?!" Captain Spitfire questioned. Now, they had no way to bring the Supernova back and quickly act on their next plan unless they head somewhere else.

"Whoever acted the Z-Move...must've been the one to do this. They wouldn't just shut the gateway down unless there were more interferences on the other side." A pony said. "Or maybe it's Zekrom who did this."

"Whoever is responsible, let's head elsewhere and regroup with some of our forces. They'll get a new gateway for us. We're leaving Alola as soon as possible."

Universe 11. Ponyville.

Back at Universe 11, away from the main base of operations which was Canterlot, Applejack's group managed to sneak off, avoiding being detected by the rest of the Solar Empire since they were so occupied with what was happening. Thus, by being led by this one Solar Empire Guard, they arrived at the one place devoid of any conflict but had undergone a drastic change.

Ponville.

A once lively town was now a place for manufacturing weapons and building ships, having become a factory for the empire's needs. This was the primary spot where all the Solar Empire's weapons and technology were built. All familiar spots in the town were no more, replaced by massive buildings for ship assembly and weaponry creation.

Applejack looked around, seeing how different this place was now. Many familiar faces were also in the same position as they walked through Ponville, seeing it in its current state. The one guiding them was this unicorn guard who kept watch of them.

"This is Ponyville...?" Spitfire removed her glasses. "Oh, this is grim."

Applejack was in disbelief. She figured that Ponyville would be very different, but this was on another level. Her and the Wonderbolts now saw just a factory. "Well...it's the only safe place for us to be at right now. And there ain't gonna be any informing anyone else about this, got it?"

"G-Got it!" The guard stuttered, currently held by Applejack's lasso. "N-No need to hurt me. I'm not telling a soul!"

"Ya better not." Applejack tightened her grip, causing him to yelp. "Now...I gotta see something..."

"Well, we should focus on sabotaging them fro here. This is where all of their stuff is made, right? Or at least, one part of it. I say we ruin things here, find our way back home and work from here." Spitfire suggested. "That way, we can make a dent on the Solar Empire while also regrouping with our forces."

"That'll be a tall task, don't you think, captain?" Fleetfoot uttered.

"Well, it's all we have right now. We're stuck here until someone tries to find us. So for now, let's do what we can ruin this invasion. I'm gonna need all of you to do what you can and shut everything down. We'll go from there." Spitfire commanded. All the Wonderbolts understood what they had do next, immediately getting to work.

As Applejack, there was something she had to do. Check up on some familiar faces who were variants of her friends. She already knew that this Universe's Twilight was far gone, becoming Sunrise Sparkle so she was out of the question. Her variant in this universe was the Suntree so there was no point in that. And as for Rainbow Dash, she was a part of Univers 11 Spitfire's fleet. The only ones remaining were Fluttershy, Rarity and Pinkie Pie.

What they were doing was up in the air, but Applejack had to assume they were currently working to create these items. Thus, she made a beeline directly towards Fluttershy's home, deciding to start there.

***

She arrived at Fluttershy's home which was always known to be a sanctuary for animals. But as Applejack was approaching this all-too-familiar place, the familiarity was starting to drop with each step she took as she saw the drastic change. The once animal-filled area was now devoid of them, the grass having died over time.

A few of Fluttershy's animal friends still resided within the boundaries of Ponyville but it was clear that most had fled the area. The animals were fearful of their own environment after all that has transpired, so most had left to search for a safer place to stay.

Even with Applejack around, many had doubts of coming forward. They knew her well enough but after living amongst the Solar Empire, they felt far too fearful. Applejack kept going, seeing how a drastic increase of machines were present here. In fact, the sanctuary was now a machine-filled spot, having the most that Applejack has seen so far as her jaw dropped.

Machines galore worked at high volumes, generating a vast array of materials that went straight to being developed as parts and other technological tools that were made to aid the Solar Empire in their war against the rest of Equestria, the Multiverse, and beyond. A majority of the Empire's needs were being crafted here with the animals being forced to work alongside them.

No longer could they just live their lives. Now, they were workers for the Solar Empire. Applejack couldn't believe her eyes as this struck her heart deep seeing such a wonderful place turn out like this. "This just ain't right..."

"Applejack?" A voice called out to her. A very familiar voice belonging to the only pony here. Applejack turned her head to see Fluttershy standing the there, dressed in her signature colors, although a more advanced look due to having Solar Empire tech. She walked down a set of stairs, having two bears hold several boxes in, dropping them onto the ground. She looked at her variant with concern and hope in her eyes.

"H-How...?" She asked before noticing a mark on her flank. A Solar Brand, indicating she is an agent for the empire. "I thought you were the Suntree. You're yourself again?" Fluttershy blinked, unaware that this was an Applejack from another Universe.

"Fluttershy!" Applejack went over to her. "Ain't this a mess? This is what happened to ya'll here?"

"Eh?" Fluttershy was confused, not getting an answer for the Suntree part. "What are you talking about? Are you alright, Applejack? And how did you get out of the Suntree?"

"Hm? Ah, right, right!" Applejack chuckled, realizing she hadn't cleared up the little confusion. "My bad there, sugarcube. I didn't say that I wasn't your Applejack."

"Not my Applejack..." Fluttershy blinked before leaning back. "Y-You're from another Universe!" Shouting that made all the animals here gasp, stopping what they were doing as they stared at her. The machines ceased their movements, pausing.

"Now calm down there!" Applejack halted her, not wanting Fluttershy to do anything drastic. "Yeah, yeah, I am an Applejack from another universe but don't worry! I ain't here to hurt you anything. My friends and I are just here to help."

"Help...?" Fluttershy asked. "That's...That's dangerous. You shouldn't be here right now."

"Huh? But ain't that a good thing? I mean, sure it's dangerous and all but-"

"It's illegal to have ponies from other universes here." Fluttershy looked away, looking at the machinery here. "Any of these machines could detect your presence and report you to Sunrise Sparkle or Daybreaker. You're not safe here. If they find out, who knows what they could do to you."

"S-Seriously?" Applejack blinked as these were more than just manufacturing machines that create weapons. They also keep track of life forms such as ponies. They scan the environment as well as the entire region of Equestria. They are capable of keeping track of every single pony in Equestria while also alerting the Solar Empire whenever something is wrong. And right now, she was in hot water. "Look! I'll handle that later. Just know that get ya'll out of this mess."

"Mrrgh...You really shouldn't be here. Especially since you're an Applejack from another Universe. Then again, I haven't seen you as your usual self for long. Or just you in general. It's best that you head home..."

"No way! After I came all the way here. Plus, my home's currently being attacked by Daybreaker, so there's that. Look. I'll get ya'll out of here."

"Even if you did, I don't know if things can go back to the way they were." Fluttershy turned around, looking at all of her animals. "Ever since Daybreaker changed up the rules here, most of us had to work for them. Daybreaker says that we must put our talents and skills to use."

"Tch. Talents and skills..." Applejack knew what that truly meant. She wasn't surprised when Fluttershy showed her what she was currently making.

"I wish we could go back but...I understand Daybreaker. So, we decided to help her out after what she's been through." Fluttershy admitted. "We're all doing this because we decided to do. Well, at least I did. All my animals are forced to work here."

"So, you're saying you were always with this?" Applejack questioned. "You're actually okay with this?"

"Of course not. But what can I do? This is the only way to make sure that Daybreaker doesn't harm anyone else." Fluttershy explained. "And...I'm too afraid to go against it. All of us are. We know how powerful Daybreaker is and we're scared of what she could do. What she will do if we decide to fight back."

All the animals stayed silent. Even the most ferocious ones were too scared to say anything. The Solar Empire has shown to be a force to be reckoned with and none of them wanted to risk their lives.

"I see..." Applejack understood, closing her eyes and lowering her hat for a moment. She then took a deep breath, knowing what she had to do. Even with these drawbacks, Applejack was going to go with what she believed. She was going to help them no matter what. "Fluttershy. Listen. In my Universe, no matter what happens, we never give up. We always find a way. And that's what I'm gonna do for ya'll. I'm gonna find a way to get ya'll out of here. That's a promise."

"Applejack..."

"Even if you're scared, I ain't. I ain't got nothing to be afraid of anymore thanks to all my friends back home. I know right now they're thinking of getting me and the Wonderbolts outta here. And while they do that, I'm gonna use all the time I have to help you. It's what I wanna do. So, what do ya say? Are you in or are you out?"

Fluttershy was taken aback by this. She looked at her animals, seeing how they were looking at her. Tears began to form, turning into a whimper before sobbing. Hearing those words reminded her of what life was life before all of this. That was something her Applejack would certainly say and it felt so nostalgic.

"I...I..."

"It's okay if you don't want to. I understand your situation and everything. But just know that I'm willing to help ya'll out. It's the least I can do."

"No...I...I want to help." Fluttershy said, wiping her tears away. "I've been wanting to help but...I couldn't. I didn't know what to do. But...with you here, maybe I can...try something. I don't know what, but I'll try."

"That's all I needed to hear." Applejack smiled, patting her on the back. "Now, let's get to work."

It was decided. Applejack would tea up with Universe 11's Fluttershy for one big plan. A plan to sabotage all of this, which is what the Wonderbolts were already up to.

An emotional Fluttershy kept crying, hugging Applejack right afterwards, needing some time to recollect herself. She was not far gone like Sunrise or Rainbow Dash. There was still hope for her and the animals. And hopefully, all of Ponyville.

As the journey continues.
