The Lost Universe. Unilight. Before it's end. Lucario Bastion.

Unilight.

The Nation of the Lost Universe.

It was a land where Humans, Pokemon, Ponies and various other species lived together in peace. Pokemon trainers and their Pokemon would usually come together in a tournament known as the Pokemon World Championships, a massive tournament that involved trainers from different regions of the world.

The world was filled with wonder, beauty and life. There were many cities and towns across the land where species lived together in harmony, having fun, enjoying the world and being happy. And one of these amazing areas was the Lucario Bastion. A massive temple located in the mountains where the Lucario species resided, as opposed to where it was in the present day, the desert.

And arriving at this temple, finding his way here, was none other than the man himself. Or in this case, boy, as this was a 10-Year-Old Prisma arriving at this temple. He walked down the path towards the temple, seeing how there were many Lucario standing guard at the entrance.

With how wide his eyes were, one thing was sure. This was Prisma, alongside his Pikachu before the Star Tyrant ever showed up and began the cycle of destruction. The Lucario all watched Prisma walk down the path, with one of them stepping forward.

"Who are you? Why have you come here?" The Lucario questioned.

"Oh, uh...well, I came to this place because...I..." Prisma looked away for a moment, not sure how to explain himself. "I just thought it would be cool to see! I'm here because I want to see what's here." He said, smiling with his Pikachu.

The Lucario raised an eyebrow, glancing at Prisma. He seemed innocent enough and had no malicious intent, but he was still suspicious of him. "What is your name?"

"My name's Prisma!" He replied. "And this is my partner, Pikachu!" He pointed to his Pikachu.

"Pikachu!"

"I see. Very well." The Lucario replied. "You may come in. But don't cause any trouble."

"I won't!" Prisma smiled. He walked inside the temple, with the Lucario opening the doors to let him in. He didn't say anything else, simply staring at the young boy as he entered the temple. Prisma looked around, seeing how there were many Lucarios everywhere in this temple. There was plenty of space and it seemed like a rather grand and magnificent temple.

"Woooah~..." Prisma's eyes lit up, looking around in awe. "So cool..." He said, his mouth wide open.

"Lu, Lucario!" One of the Lucario in the room greeted.

Many more Lucarios would greet Prisma upon entering the temple, seeing how he was a new guest here. And in this temple, more than just Lucarios lived here, unlike in the present where it was just Lucarios. More Pokemon could be found here.

"Lucario!" The Lucarios would greet Prisma.

"Hey, guys!" Prisma smiled, waving at them. Prisma and Pikachu were being shown around the temple by some of the Lucarios, which were the guards here. Naturally, like how it was in the present, this place was also a labyrinth, but not as big and complex. It was much more simple but still massive regardless.

As he was being shown around, he got to meet the rest of the Lucario who resided in this temple, with some of them even being outside the temple on the rooftops. This temple was huge, having many different sections. The walls were decorated with various murals of Lucarios and other Pokemon.

"Pika!" Pikachu pointed up ahead, showing an array of platforms and steps that were made of Aura. It was something he and Prisma were curious about.

"Those steps are made out of Aura..." Prisma gawked at it. "Come to think of it, the other reason I'm here is to figure out what Aura really is. I was told I have a bunch of it, so I need answers...I bet if I go further, I'll get them. I can't wait!"

Eager to explore, Prisma would run onwards, preparing to step on the Aura Steps. The Lucario gazed at his movements, knowing one thing. For him to be able to physically step on these steps and the platforms, he would have to of a noble heart and have strong Aura to begin with.

And just like that, he stepped on the first platform. The Aura glowed as it allowed him to keep walking. The other Lucarios watched in surprise, seeing how Prisma was capable of doing this. But it wasn't long before he slipped up and fell off the steps.

"Ow!" He yelped, rubbing his the back of his head as he sat there on the ground. Pikachu was next to him, shaking his head.

"Pikachu..." He sweatdropped.

"I guess it's too much for me, huh?" Prisma sighed. "But I can't give up!" He quickly got up and tried again, the aura around him beginning to emanate due to his willpower. Once more, he stepped on the first platform and kept going. The Lucarios were surprised by his determination, seeing how he was able to get back up so quickly.

By getting past the steps, he soon reached the platforms, where he would have to go through many obstacles. The Lucario stood nearby, watching over him. Prisma was able to get through the obstacles by using his Pikachu, who helped him out. It was a fun little obstacle course, which made Prisma excited and happy. He was enjoying every moment of this.

Watching him from afar, in another part of the room were other Lucarios. Specifically, one particular Lucario who would eventually become Mega Lucario. Using an orb of Aura to see Prisma, she and the others watched him move across the temple.

"It appears he's been able to get this far." The female Lucario said. "His Aura is indeed strong, just as we predicted. His Aura is on par with other trainers and Pokemon here. This is remarkable."

"He is rather determined to do this. I sense something in him that I didn't in the others that came here. Even though he's new here and doesn't know us, he's being kind to all of us." Another Lucario said. "But the question is...will he be able to go any further than this? This is the real test. If he can't handle this, then there's no way he'll be able to do this."

The other Lucarios nodded. The female Lucario raised her hand, causing the orb of Aura to vanish. She stood up, turning to the other Lucarios. "Let us continue watching over him. It will not be long before the time comes when we need to decide whether he is worthy of wielding the power of our species. After all, my son is destined for great things and he's been waiting for the one to truly sync with him."

Prisma's path was not that straightforward, not with all these obstacles around him. Such obstacles included the Lucarios around him being capable of using Aura.

"Hey, wait! Whoa!" Prisma's eyes widened when he saw some of the Lucario standing in front of him, unleashing a wave of Aura in his direction. The Aura was meant to push him back, but Prisma was able to withstand it, having a strong Aura within himself. The Aura was coming off of Prisma's body, which was an unusual sight for the Lucario. "I see...Okay then. Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu jumped in front of Prisma, using Thunderbolt on the Lucario. The Lucario was pushed back, but the others were already prepared to counter. Some of them would collectively use Bone Rush, manifesting energy bones.

"Pikachu, use Iron Tail!"

"Chu! Pika!" Pikachu would leap forward, preparing to clash with these Lucarios who approached him. He swung his tail, which was surrounded by energy. The Lucario blocked with their own bone attacks, trying to keep Pikachu at bay. But Pikachu's hits were as strong as he was fast, his nimble body allowing him to strike quick and hard.

"Pika!" With a strong Iron Tail, Pikachu managed to smash through the Lucario's defenses, pushing them back. More Lucarios were going to appear and attack Prisma, but they weren't ready for what would come next.

"Pikachu, Quick Attack!"

"Pika-Pika!" Pikachu took off at lightning speeds, moving so fast that he generated a shockwave that would surround his body instead of being behind him, the shockwave being as fast as him. He used this to hit the Lucarios, quickly knocking them back and sending them flying.

"Nice! Now, charge through with Quick Attack again!"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu would take off at great speeds once more, dashing through the area and smashing into the Lucario. He continued to do this, using Quick Attack to smash through them and push them away.

"Great stuff, Pikachu!" Prisma ran forward, praising Pikachu once more. The path was clear for the. For now, anyways. As the other Lucarios watched this from the other room, there was one Pokemon viewing this with wonder in his eyes.

It was Riolu.

"Rio..." He had eyes as wide as possible when spectating Prisma. He had seen plenty of trainers and other Pokemon visit the temple and go through this obstacle course that was meant to test their strength, determination and willpower. And Riolu could tell that Prisma was something special. He was able to get this far on his own with just his Pikachu.

He was something else.

And Riolu was impressed. "Ri. Ri-Rio." He clapped his paws, smiling with joy. This might be the Trainer he was waiting for all this time.

Prisma continued on his way, eventually coming across a courtyard. This courtyard had a massive obelisk made of polished black granite, its surface etched with ancient glyphs representing the flow of aura. At the base of the obelisk, a golden flame burns eternally, said to represent the eternal nature of the soul.

But it was also another obstacle for Prisma and Pikachu. Once Prisma stepped into the courtyard and gazing at this obelisk, it attacked him. The golden flame would fly out at him.

"Woah!" Prisma exclaimed, dodging the flame. The flame began to attack him, trying to burn him. Quickly, he dug into his pockets to unveil a Poke Ball, having a response. "Show up, Pidgeot!" He threw the Poke Ball, releasing Pidgeot who flew up into the air.

"Pidgeot!"

"Pidgeot, use Hurricane!"

"Pidge!" Pidgeot flapped his wings, creating powerful gusts of wind that he unleashed at the golden flame. The flame was pushed back and Prisma used this opportunity to run forward, getting close to the obelisk. He was more than ready to touch it as it was standing in his way. But when he reached out to grab it, he realized something.

The flame returned.

"Wha?!" Prisma's eyes widened, seeing the flame rush towards him.

"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"

"Pika-Pika!" Pikachu unleashed a powerful Thunderbolt at the flame, but it wasn't enough to stop it. The flame was able to absorb Pikachu's Thunderbolt, with the electricity going through its body. "Pikachu!" Pikachu gasped in shock.

"No good! Then I'm counting on you for this one! Samurott!" Prisma released another Poke Ball, throwing it forward. Out came Samurott, ready to do battle.

"Samurott!"

"Samurott, use Hydro Pump!"

"Samurott!" Samurott charged up his attack and unleashed a powerful blast of water at the flame. The water splashed against the flame, but it would simply absorb it and grow larger, making Prisma step back in shock.

"Oh, man! What is this thing?!" He exclaimed, with Pidgeot flying back to his side. "Pidgeot, use Steel Wing!"

Pidgeot would swoop down at the flame and use Steel Wing, which managed to cut through the flame. It was effective, but once more, the flame would only get larger. Prisma couldn't help but wonder how he'd be able to beat it.

"No good, huh?" Prisma then put on a grin, still having something up his sleeve. "In that case...I'll fight Fire wth Fire! Incineroar! I choose you!" Throwing his Poke Ball forward, he unleashed his Incineroar into the fray.

"Incineroar!"

"Incineroar! Take that flame for yourself! Use Flare Blitz!" Prisma ordered his Incineroar, who ran forward. He engulfed himself in flames, rushing at the golden flame and tackling it. The fire that made up Incineroar's body was beginning to merge with the golden flame, which was seemingly a bad call. But not for Incineroar.

The fire would go through his body as he absorbed the flames into himself. The golden flame began to vanish, the fire being taken in by Incineroar. And soon enough, it was gone, now being a part of him.

"Yeah! You did it, Incineroar!" Prisma's eyes lit up as he conquered another obstacle. Pikachu, Pidgeot and Samurott cheered with him, with Riolu watching from afar. He was amazed by the power that Incineroar just displayed. This was the power he was waiting to see from a human.

"Rio." He smiled, continuing to watch Prisma. The Emanation Pokemon jumped up and down with joy, amazed by what he was seeing. More and more, Prisma continued to stun him.

"All right, guys! Let's keep going!" Prisma said to his Pokemon, making his way to another room. The Lucario watched in awe, seeing how he was able to overcome this challenge. His strength was far beyond what they expected, to the point where they were wondering how to stop him.

This continued for hours. Any obstacle that came in Prisma's way, he and his Pokemon were able to overcome them. Riolu kept watching him, seeing how Prisma was able to take down each challenge one after another. Eventually, he would come across the very centre of the temple. Known as the Temple of the Soul.

The central temple rose behind the other spots, with a massive sandstone facade adorned with carvings of Lucario in battle and weighing the hearts of souls. The doors, tall and carved from dark wood inlaid with gold, are guarded by statues of Delta Lucarios holding scales.

Inside, the main hall is grand and shadowy, lit by braziers with blue fire, which channel aura energy from the world beyond. The pillars were adorned with Aura Symbols that recount the many trainers that have come and gone, while the ceiling depicted the night sky, with constellations glowing faintly, representing the connection between aura and the cosmos.

The focal point of the hall is a massive statue of Lucario, holding the two massive Aura Spheres, one in each paw. At the foot of the statue is a dais of black granite, a large mirror of polished silver, and a set of runes, the sacred text of Aura, inscribed upon the dais in gold.

The pedestal bore the inscription "Whosoever stands within the soul stone can call upon the power of the Aura Spirit, the Guardian of the Temple, the great Lucario. In him, we put our faith."

"Great Lucario, huh? This must be the last spot then...If I can get through this, I'll be able to go even further, won't I?" Prisma looked up at the statue in front of him. This was the place where the strongest trainers would come to challenge themselves. If Prisma could succeed in this spot, he would be deemed worthy of wielding the power of the Lucario.

Riolu's mother and all the other Lucarios would make sure to watch this closely. This was the ultimate challenge that no other trainer has ever reached, let alone seen. The statue would started glowing, the Aura within it flowing out to manifest something. The Aura formed into an orb which then began to form a body.

The figure that would manifest was a massive Lucario completely made out of Aura. Prisma and Pikachu were both stunned by what they saw. "Check it out..." Prisma gawked, gazing at the massive Lucario. Pikachu was just as surprised, stepping back as he watched the Lucario stand before them.

The Lucario looked down at Prisma, his eyes narrowing at the boy. "Prisma." He spoke to him, his voice powerful. "You've made it this far to be the first ever lay eyes upon me. The Guardian of this temple."

"Y-You're a Lucario? But you're so big!" Prisma said, gazing up at him. "Is this Dynamax or something?"

"You may know me as such, but there are many of us Lucario. We exist all around the world. In fact, many of the ones here are my fellow comrades. And this place, this temple, is one of the most sacred spots in this universe. It is where we, the Lucario, reside and look after it. Those who wish to prove themselves worthy must overcome great obstacles and prove themselves worthy. Worthy of the Destined Lucario."

"Destined Lucario?" Prisma tilted his head.

"Legend tells of a Lucario above all others who is destined to be chosen by one worthy of our Aura. One worthy of wielding our strength and the strength of the True Aura. Many have come to seek that power, but none have ever been worthy. Some were too weak. Others were not worthy due to their intentions. Some were worthy but fell short during the ultimate test. You are the only one to have made it this far and see me with your own eyes. But I must warn you...if you fail, you will never be allowed back in the Lucario Bastion. Are you prepared to accept the challenge?"

Prisma took a deep breath, looking at his Pikachu. He turned back to Lucario, nodding. "I'm ready!" He said.

"Very well." Lucario said. "Prove yourself to me." Lucario would take a battle stance, with Prisma doing the same. Lucario was going to fight him, testing Prisma to see if he was strong enough.

The Guardian Lucario brought his paw down, launching the first attack. He was going to send a wave of Aura at Prisma to start things off. The wave would strike the ground, but Prisma managed to dodge it. Pikachu tried to counterattack with a Thunderbolt, but it didn't have any effect on Lucario.

"What?!" Prisma's eyes widened in shock. "It didn't do anything?"

"That is because my body is made of Pure Aura." Lucario said. "This form can only be destroyed by the true power of Aura. The one that I speak of. But it is not one you possess. It is a power only the most worthy can obtain. If you can prove me wrong, that is."

"So, it's like a Mega Evolution then? In that case..." Holding out a Poke Ball, Prisma threw it upwards to summon Charizard.

"Charizard!" The Flame Pokemon roared, appearing in the area. Once Charizard appeared, Prisma unveiled his Mega Ring.

"Charizard, you can do it! Mega Evolve!" Prisma pressed the Key Stone on the Mega Ring, unleashing energy which surrounded Charizard. The Flame Pokemon began to glow, undergoing Mega Evolution.

The Lucario looked to see that Charizard was changing, turning into his Mega Form. Out of it emerged Mega Charizard X. Prisma had every intention of defeating Lucario by using Mega Evolution, believing this was the key. Charizard began to flap his wings, unleashing a wave of flames at Lucario.

The waves of fire slammed into Lucario, but they wouldn't leave a scratch on him. Lucario remained unfazed as the flames continued to hit him, but he wouldn't show any signs of pain or struggle. This was his true power, his indomitable Aura.

"What?!" Prisma's eyes widened, seeing this. "No way!"

"I told you already, your power is not the one I speak of." Lucario said. "Only those truly worthy have the power to stop me. No matter what you throw at me, it will not be enough. You may be strong, but you are not strong enough. Your Mega Evolution is nothing to me."

"We'll see about that! Charizard, use Flamethrower!" Prisma ordered Charizard, who charged up his attack.

"Zard!" Charizard unleashed a powerful blast of fire at Lucario, but it did nothing to him. Charizard kept attacking him with fire, but it wasn't enough to stop him. It was as if Charizard's attacks were going right through him, which they were.

The Lucario Guardian would suddenly construct an Aura Sphere, building up power within it before releasing it at Charizard. The Aura Sphere blasted towards Charizard, who promptly used Flamethrower to try and counter it. The two attacks would clash with one another, but it wouldn't last for long.

The Aura Sphere pushed forward, causing the Flamethrower to be pushed back. Charizard would quickly back off, flying around with Prisma on his back. The Aura Sphere would continue to fly around, following Charizard as it tried to attack him.

"It's tracking us?!" Prisma exclaimed, seeing how the Aura Sphere was hot on their tails. "Charizard, use Dragon Claw!"

Charizard turned around and began to charge at the Aura Sphere, slashing at it with his claws. However, the Aura Sphere would explode on contact, unleashing a shockwave that sent Prisma and Charizard flying back.

"Hm. He seems to be struggling greatly on this one..." The Mother Lucario commented. "Could he not be the one? The one to wield our power?"

"Perhaps. I will admit that he's come the farthest out of anyone, without a doubt." Another Lucario spoke. "But I'm not certain if he's the one we're looking for."

"Rio..." Riolu was especially worried about this. Just when he thought he was about to find his destined Trainer, it looked to be coming to a sad end. Riolu took a liking to the way Prisma battled, so it was rather crushing to see him struggle this much against the Lucario Guardian.

Against such a force, anyone would lose no doubt. The Lucario Guardian was a force of great power, being as mighty as he was large. However, this was where Prisma was different. Even though he was the first to ever come across this guardian, he would do something that would surpass whatever any future challenger would do. If there ever will be any future challengers.

"Dragon Claw!"

"Char!" Charizard approached the giant Lucario who would use Force Palm. The two attacks collided, sending great shockwaves across the temple for many to hear and feel. Like before, it looked like this attack wouldn't do anything to the Lucario, being ineffective like the rest.

"Like I said already, you can only harm if-" But his words were promptly cut once he saw how Charizard was beginning to push back against his Force Palm. "Hm?!

"Rrrr! Charizard!" With pure power, Charizard was actually starting to overwhelm his strength. "Chaaaaar!" Charizard roared as he continued to push, causing the Lucario to slide back.

"I-I don't believe it...!" The Giant Lucario gasped, realizing what was happening as he looked at Prisma's fierce eyes. "His strength! He's managing to grow in strength so much that he's outpacing my Aura?! What is this?!"

"Keep going, Charizard!" Prisma said with determination. "We're not done yet!"

"Charizard!" Charizard used all of his strength to keep pushing back the giant Lucario. With a mighty roar, he managed to knock back the Guardian, making him fall back.

"But True Aura is supposed to be touched by Aura itself! How can he do this?!" Lucario would try to get back up, but Charizard was already upon him. Using Dragon Claw, Charizard slashed at the Lucario and knocked him back. Charizard kept using Dragon Claw, smashing into the Lucario with all he had. The other Lucario looked on in awe, seeing that he was actually beginning to win.

"How can that be?!" One of the Lucarios couldn't understand it. "He isn't using Aura himself, so how is he even outpacing the True Aura?! This is incredible!"

"Could it be...his strength with his Pokemon is so great it ignores conventional forces and strengths?!" The Mother Lucario was catching on fast on how Prisma could even do this.

"Charizard, finish it!" Prisma raised his hand. Charizard would jump back, charging up an attack. Once he was ready, Charizard would launch a massive Flamethrower, blasting the giant Lucario.

The giant Lucario was caught in the Flamethrower, with Prisma grinning. The Giant Lucario was unable to break away, his Aura struggling to push back against the flames. "What's happening?!" He exclaimed. "This strength he's using, it's not his own! How is he doing this?!"

"Let's finish it, Charizard!" Prisma held up his Mega Ring. "Full Power! Charizard, use Blast Burn!"

"Zard!" Charizard unleashed a powerful wave of fire that surrounded the entire area, engulfing it in flames. The fire that surrounded the temple would surround the giant Lucario, with the Guardian being unable to get out. Thus, he succumbed to the flames, the attack combusting into a great explosion. The Giant Lucario fell on his back, his Aura dissipating into nothing.

Charizard had managed to beat the Lucario Guardian, using pure strength.

"Such power..." The Giant Lucario said, looking up to see Charizard flying towards Prisma, landing on his feet. Prisma got off his back and looked at the giant Lucario. "I suppose...you are more than worthy. To have such strength that can outmatch even my True Aura...You possess something special."

"Does this mean..." Prisma asked.

"It means that you may wield the power of the Destined Lucario, Prisma." Lucario nodded. "As Guardian of the Temple, I am allowed to let you see him. You have earned it, boy."

There was one final gate in this temple that would open up for Prisma to see. The Gate of the Destined. The gate was carved out of stone and metal, with carvings of Lucario guarding it. The gate was massive and looked impenetrable.

However, it would soon open, revealing what was behind it. Appearing here was the Mother Lucario and her Son, Riolu. The same Riolu who was destined to one day become this Legendary Lucario. He was joined by not just his mother but the other Lucarios who were watching Prisma from afar.

Riolu was excited to meet the trainer who would finally bond wit him. But this also meant he was rather shy about it. He's seen so many trainers come and go, so now that there was finally someone for him, he was a bit distant, hiding behind his mother's leg.

"So uh...Which one is the Destined Lucario?" Prisma wondered, looking at the other Lucarios, unaware that it was actually Lucario. "Maybe...you in the middle?"

"No, no. It isn't me. Well done, human. No other Trainer has accomplished as much as you. In fact, no other Trainer has been able to see me, let alone make it this far. We all watched your performance with our own eyes. You showed a true strength that we haven't seen before."

"Heh! Well, I try." Prisma smirked as his Pikachu and Charizard held their chests out proudly. "But I gotta say, you guys are pretty strong yourself. That big guy really put up a fight, I'll give you that."

"I'm not surprised, human. The guardian of the temple is more powerful than anyone can imagine. But not even he is as strong as I am. In my time, and technically even now, I am regarded as the strongest Lucario to have ever existed, outside of him. But even we are nothing compared to the Destined Lucario."

"Destined Lucario? So, which one is it then?" Prisma asked, looking around.

"Come on, son. Go and greet him." She looked over at her son who hid behind her leg. "It's alright."

"Rio..." Riolu felt a little scared, but he did want to meet Prisma. His slowly walked over to Prisma, his head down. Once he was in front of Prisma, he lifted his head up.

"Hi there." Prisma kneeled down and waved at the little Emanation Pokemon. "I guess you're gonna have to become a Lucario in the first place, huh? I'm Prisma. Nice to meet ya."

"R-Rio!" Riolu jumped a little, but he smiled and looked up at Prisma. Prisma chuckled and held out his hand. Riolu was a little hesitant, but he took it. Prisma shook hands with Riolu, with Pikachu and Charizard both looking on.

"I guess I'll be taking care of you from now on." Prisma said. "So, you wanna explore the world with me?"

"Rio!" Riolu jumped up and down happily, nodding. Prisma then held out an empty Poke Ball, tapping it against Riolu to catch him. Riolu was caught in the ball, getting sucked in.

1...2...3...Gotcha! Riolu was caught.

"All right! I got him! I caught a Riolu!" Prisma cheered, jumping up and down. "We're gonna grow stronger together!" After befriending him, he unleashed Riolu from the Poke Ball.

"You are most certainly going to be a powerful Trainer, I can tell." The Mother Lucario said. "But I can also tell that your journey is only just beginning. My son..." She approached her child who looked back at her. "For the first time, we'll be away from each other. I'm going to truly miss you, but I know you'll grow into the Lucario that the legends foretold you to be. But before that happens...will you do something for me?"

"Rio?" Riolu looked at her, wondering what she was asking.

"Please take care of your new friend." She said, making Riolu look back at Prisma. "You've finally met the one who will grow strong with you. I know I can trust you to help him in any way you can. Can you do that for me? My little one?"

"R-Rio..." Riolu was a bit nervous but he nodded. "Rio." He was determined to help Prisma.

"Then it is done." She nodded. "I wish you good fortune, human." She said to Prisma. "I have a feeling this is only the beginning of something big. For the both of you."

"Uhh...yeah, I think so too." Prisma rubbed the back of his head. He wasn't sure what would be in store for him but it was a lot to take in. "Well, we better get going. There's still a lot we have to see in this world."

Thus, Prisma was off with Riolu. On this day, the two started out as Trainer and Pokemon. Riolu was now a long for the ride in the life of Prisma and everything he's seen. At least, in this first life.

Throughout their journey across the land, Prisma and Riolu worked hard together, taking on many battles and other challenges. Prisma had managed to become the Champion of the entire Pokemon World, winning against so many trainers and becoming the strongest in all of existence. With this, he and Riolu grew close together, which would lead to Riolu evolving into Lucario and Prisma becoming a Pokemon Master. Lucario fulfilled his destiny, being the most powerful and strongest Lucario there was.

However, the arrival of the Star Tyrant was still something that shook everything up. The day Prisma took on that odd being came for the very first time. And from that encounter, Prisma, as to be expected, battled against it. All of his Pokemon, including Lucario, put their all into stopping the Star Tyrant. And they pulled it off, but that was when the first reset happened.

And from that reset, Prisma was back to square one, waking up in his home in Pallet Town, his heart heavy. He remembered it all, seemingly being the only one who could remember it. Due to being back to where he started, Prisma would go through his journeys the same as usually did, seeing familiar events and scenarios take place, meeting familiar faces and so on.

Such events and faces involve re-visiting the Lucario Bastion once more. He returned to the bastion, standing before it and seeing those same two guards he first laid eyes upon when finding this place. Complete Deja Vu. But instead of expecting them to not remember Prisma, to his shock, the opposite happened.

"Hm?" One Lucario looked over, his eyes widening in shock. "It's him! It's the kid!"

"What?!"Another Lucario was surprised to hear that, turning to see Prisma. "No way!"

That caught Prisma off guard. These Lucarios actually remember him being here as opposed to everyone else he's met who has forgotten. He expected that, but they remembered him.

"Y-You guys...you actually remember me?" Prisma asked, his speech slow and eyes dilating. The way he looked showed signs of absolute dread but they soon shifted to a different expression.

"Indeed we do." The guard nodded his head as he was suddenly hugged by Prisma. "Huh?!"

"Thank you...!" Prisma started crying out of pure joy, feeling comfort in this. He didn't think anyone would remember him or what he went through. He went through so many locations and met so many of his friends, befriending the again, but a part of him was gutted to find out that they didn't know who he was in his previous life.

"Um, alright then...?" The Lucario was confused as he looked at his comrade.

"Prisma, are you okay?" Lucario asked his trainer as he was letting his emotions out.

"I just..." Prisma sniffed as he wiped his eyes. "I thought you guys wouldn't remember me...but you do. I was so scared...!"

"I can't understand why we wouldn't." The guard said. "There is a reason for us remembering you and even the universe we once lived in. It is because of our Aura."

"Your Aura...?" Prisma looked up at them.

"Yes. Here, all of our Auras are connected, as if they were held together by one string or even under the same tree. Our Aura is actually powerful enough to retain our memories, resisting the mindwipe the destruction and recreation of the universe brings. And it seems you were more than powerful enough to resist."

"T-Then does that mean...Riolu will remember me?!" Prisma's eyes widened with hope, looking at his Lucario.

"Of course." The Lucario nodded. "His Aura was far stronger than ours, so he will remember everything, even if he is a child once more." That brought joy to Prisma's heart. It wasn't all dreary for him at all. He was automatically allowed inside since he had been here in his past life. This time, the temple wouldn't bother bringing any obstacles his way since he had already proven himself worthy before.

With the path open for him, Prisma and Lucario entered the temple to see the rest of the Lucarios there. Up ahead was the Mother Lucario and her son, Riolu. Once Riolu saw Prisma, he ran straight for him, glad to see his trainer once more, fearful that he would never see him again.

"Rio! Rio!" Riolu jumped up and down happily, making Prisma kneel down and hug him.

"I'm glad you remember me too!" Prisma smiled. "Looks like we're gonna have to start from scratch, though." He said. "That sucks..."

"We saw it all, Prisma. That creature that came from the stars. Possibly beyond." The Mother Lucario walked over. "I fear that whatever it was, it may not be the last time we see it."

"Are you saying...it could show up again!?" Prisma asked.

"Potentially. It is certainly no Pokemon, no Magical Being, or anything of the sort. Its existence is a mystery, but the Aura tells us that it might return.

"...So...we could maybe run into that thing again." Prisma lowered his head, thinking about this. "In that case, I just have to get even stronger than I was before! Next time, I won't let it destroy our world if it shows up again."

"Are you sure you can go through all of this again? Your entire journey, repeating every step?" She asked, genuinely worried for Prisma. She couldn't imagine doing everything in his life again.

"Yeah. That's what I've been doing already. I'll do everything I did already and once that's done, I'll make sure that creature doesn't mess things up again." Prisma said with absolute determination.

From this point on, he would willingly repeat his steps, going through the same stories he's already been a part of. With Riolu regaining his memories, it would be easy for him too. He was the only Pokemon of Prisma's that could even regain those memories in the first place.

But unbeknownst to them, this would not be the last time it happened.

It happened a second time. Then a third time. Then a fourth, fifth, sixth and so and so on. Prisma would continue to relive the same story over and over again. Meeting Pikachu as his first partner, befriending familiar faces yet again and going through the same events, but winning them at a faster rate. He grew stronger and stronger each time he lived through this life. He kept meeting different versions of the same people and Pokemon, always in the same locations and scenarios.

And each time, he would revisit the Lucario Bastion, with Riolu already waiting for him to show up again. The Lucarios kept their memories as always, but the same could not be said for everyone else. As usual, they were all wiped from existence, starting over at the beginning.

Over and over again, he kept coming back, speaking to them quickly and leaving. Sometime,s he wouldn't even say anything and just leave with Riolu right away. Other times Riolu would try and leave the temple early just to go and find Prisma sooner.

Prisma was becoming used to it at this point. The more times he was able to go through this life, the more he adjusted to it. It was almost like he became numb to the sensation of having to redo everything he's already done. But he couldn't be too happy about it. It was a horrible cycle. No matter what he did, nothing worked.

And the Lucarios felt it. They felt Prisma's struggle and how this was getting to him, sympathizing with him. He didn't want this to happen to him anymore, but it kept happening no matter what. The Mother Lucario felt some sadness hit he was well. It hurt her to see Prisma go through this, especially since he created such a strong bond with her son. Anything that makes her son upset, would naturally upset her too.

Eventually, during the 88,799,999,999th life Prisma ever lived, the second to last one, he came the Lucario Bastion yet again to do what he had to do. Recruit Riolu. But this time, while walking off, the interaction here would be different and foreboding.

"Prisma...I wish we could help you somehow." The Mother Lucario said to him while he was walking off with Riolu. "I wish I knew a way to get you out of this never-ending cycle. A way to stop the destruction for good. All this Aura and we can't even properly save our universe."

"....I don't think that'll ever happen." Prisma silently uttered.. "No matter what I do, nothing changes. I keep having to do the same thing over and over again. There is something that's come to mind...A way to beat that Star Tyrant at its own game...before its arrival."

"Y-You do?! What is it, Prisma?!" She asked, needing an answer to that. All the Lucarios needed an answer.

"...Just know this." Prisma looked back at them with cold and numb eyes. "The next life will be my last." That was all he said as he walked away with Riolu, leaving the temple.

The Lucario was surprised to hear that. That was the first time she's heard Prisma say such a thing, sounding like he knew exactly what he was doing. But it was absolutely ominous.

And she was right about it being ominous. The 88.8 Billionth Life spoke volumes. The final life Prisma would live, where he aimed to destroy the universe before the Star Tyrant does. With his sanity finally breaking, he resorted to this final gambit. The battle against Prisma happened on that fateful day, with many areas being ruined and so many battling against this one person and his Pokemon.

Gaining news of this battle were the Lucario from the Lucario Bastion and it shocked them. To hear that Prisma was aiming to destroy everything in the universe. This shocked the Mother Lucario the most since her own son as willing to help him do so. She didn't want her son to help in the destruction of everything but she felt like it could be too late to stop him.

That is until she and the Lucarios decided to leave the temple at last, joining everyone in Unilight against Prisma. Their strength combined was enough to push Prisma back, with the other Lucarios helping the other Pokemon, using their great Aura.

However, Prisma would just push back harder, his strength surpassing them all. Eventually, Prisma came face to face with the Mother Lucario, who had a lot of strength left to take him on.

"Prisma!" She cried out to him as he could be seen standing on top of a domed building. The Mother Lucario jumped onto this domed building, meeting with Prisma, who coldly stared at him. Right next to him was her own son, Lucario. "Enough of this, please!"

"Why?" Prisma asked. "Why should I stop now when I'm so close to finishing what I started? I can't back down now. Either I destroy everything to end this cycle or the Star Tyrant continues it."

"This is what you call saving the world?!" She asked, gesturing to the destruction that was happening. "You're going to save everyone by destroying everything?! Don't you realize how nonsensical that sounds?!"

"I realize that. And I don't care." Prisma's cold eyes stared at her as she looked back at him. "All of this was a waste of time. Nothing changed. Nothing ever changed. I kept doing this for 88.8 Billion lives and nothing changed! I was just going through the same motions over and over again, living the same stories! If you think I haven't noticed that, you're sorely mistaken."

"But you have friends and family and Pokemon to be with you!" The mother Lucario stated, getting emotional. "All of those people will forget you, but you still have those connections!"

"And they'll disappear, just like everything else!" He shouted back at her, surprising her with the ferocity of his voice. "I don't care if they forget about me because I'm not going to be forgotten. Not anymore. I refuse to live a life where I'm forced to watch everyone I love and care for, fade away before my eyes. I don't want to live a life like that again! Let this be the final time it ever has to happen!"

"But you don't need to go this far to end this!" She exclaimed. "There has to be another way to solve this issue without destroying everything! I'm sure Lucario believes that there is another way! Right, son?!"

"Rrr..." Lucario looked to the side, his eyes lowering. He followed Prisma because he felt for his trainer's struggles. He wanted to help Prisma, but he didn't know what he could do. "Rio..."

"Son...?" The Lucario mother's eyes dilated before closing. "Fine then! I'll try and stop you with all that I have! In my grasp, I decided to harness the True Aura from the temple, just to ensure that you are stopped."

"You think that will stop me?" Prisma sneered at her.

"It has to!" Harnessing the True Aura, the Mother Lucario would build up a powerful Aura Sphere in her paws. The Aura Sphere was massive, but Prisma was unphased by its size and power, simply staring at her With all of her might, she unleashed the force of a billion Auras upon him.

The massive Aura Sphere rushed towards Prisma, intending to knock him out, but the human just stood his ground. He held his hand forward, with a powerful barrier forming. This barrier was made of pure Aura, something only someone with immense strength can do.

"?!" The Mother Lucario couldn't believe her eyes. A billion Auras, easily stopped by a single barrier. Prisma then held his arm up, easily maintaining it in his grasp. "B-But how...?!"

"You couldn't stop me even if you had a trillion or more Auras. Just like how it was when I first arrived at that temple, I easily overpowered that Aura with my strength alone. This is nothing to me. You should know that much." Prisma narrowed his eyes as the Mother Lucario stepped back in fear.

"Ngh...!" She grunted, trying to look brave in the face of absolute power.

"To be honest...out of everyone else, aside from maybe a few, I had hoped you would be the one to understand. After all, you're the closest thing I've had to a mother, each time I came back to that temple with each life. You always talked to me and comforted me when I was down at times."

"Prisma..." She silently gasped.

"But it seems I can't count on you either. You let me down the most! So for this, I'll show my True Aura!" He then brought the Aura Sphere down, sending it towards the Mother Lucaio. She couldn't move as the attack started pouring into her.

The Aura that struck her would flow through her body violently, overcharging her to great levels. The power was too much for her and she screamed out, bursting with power before exploding. But her body did not vanish. Instead, she was forced into Mega Evolution, the amount of Aura radiating and flowing within her being so great that she Mega Evolved without the usage of Mega Stone or the usage of Lucarioite.

She was overcharged. Too much power was within her to the point where she could barely even move. This was more power than any Lucario, aside from Prisma's, should ever wield. Thus, she fainted from it, her body falling off the building.

"I won't be seeing you again. Farewell." Prisma turned away as that was the last time she ever saw Prisma, her vision going dark.

The Current and True Universe. Equestria. The Lucario Bastion. 2 Months before the Present.

Cutting back to when Somnambula first met Mega Lucario, she got it all. The entire story from start to finish. And when retelling it, Mega Lucario teared up. Having to rethink those memories struck her as she lowered her head and shed tears.

"I wish I could've done something sooner...I wish I could've found a solution. My son...He's gone forever..." And from this, she never got her son back. Even though the Lucario Bastion and all the Lucario in it have been revived, there was no sign of her son whatsoever. No Destined Lucario at all.

As she broke down in tears recalling these memories, Mega Lucar wasn't sure what to do now. In this universe, she had no purpose. Nothing at all. Thus, she was lost. All the Lucarios here felt her pain. They were lost in some way as well.

"Even then...what can I do?" She said to herself, feeling absolutely defeated. Being in this form was a sign of her failure, in her eyes.

Suddenly, Somnambula placed her hoof on Mega Lucario's back, soft touching meeting with her body.

"You're here now, aren't you? So...maybe you can still do something." Somnambula suggested. "After all, this is a new life. Things are different from your last one."

"But my son..." Mega Lucario sobbed.

"He could still be out there. After all, you and everyone in here returned, didn't you? Who's to say your son hasn't returned but elsewhere in the world? Even if it's a new universe, different from your own...I wouldn't lose hope just yet." Somnambula spoke in a confident tone.

"But what if I can't find him...?" Mega Lucario's hope was at a grandiose low.

"Then I'll help you. I've stared into the face of absolute despair before. Two different variations of it, even. One was a friend of mine and the other a great common enemy. Times where I thought it would truly be the end, and yet there was always hope at the end of the tunnel. I haven't lived that many lives, but I've been in limbo for centuries to know that hope will always come through." Somnambula smiled at her. "What do you say?"

"...I'd like that." Mega Lucario wiped her eyes as Somnambula helped her up. A light smile formed on her face. It was the first time she's smiled in a long time. But there was that massive part within her that feared another repeat of some sort. Somnambula, seeing how much despair Mega Lucario and all the Lucarios were in, decided to stick around. She would not yet return to her home, but instead, stay with them.

This was something Mega Lucario appreciated. She felt like Somnambula was going out of her way for her. To see that she was doing something like this was really heartwarming.

The Present.

"And for 2 months, I stayed behind to help them all. Giving them a smile is the least I could do." Somnambula said to Rarity and Applejack, finally finishing her story. "Eventually, we bonded to the point where he felt like Trainer and Partner."

"Mmmn..." Applejack and Rarity's eyes were beginning to water, their mouths scrunched as that entire story struck a chord with them. They had to fight back their tears. "What a wonderful and tragic story!" Rarity sniffed.

"What a darn shame!" Applejack sobbed. "Them poor Lucarios, all sad and stuff!"

"Well, on the bright side, she's been smiling a lot more recently. But what really matters is if I can find her son for her. This temple here has slowly been regenerating day after day. It's far bigger than before, when previously, it was hard to see and rather miniscule." Somnambula explained. "Glad you two are here though to help me figure out its sudden growth. Even Mega Lucario doesn't recognize parts of these, so they must be new."

"Ah!" Applejack's tears came to an end as she just now remembered why she was here. To find her Delta Lucario. "I almost forgot! Lucairo!" She instantly dashed in as Rarity wiped her tears.

Somnambula giggled to herself as Rarity soon followed Applejack inside. Sombambula did the same, wanting to see the new areas added to the Lucario Bastion. And at the same time, Mega Lucario looked out into the distance. She wondered where her son was right now.

What was he doing? Was he perfectly fine? Did he find someone other than Prisma? And most importantly in her mind...is Prisma even in this universe as well? Unbeknownst to her, he was to an extent. But right now, she was unaware and deemed it a mystery as the journey continues.
