My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Inherited and Elevated Skills
Previous ChapterNext ChapterEquestria. Near Ponyville. Unilight Palace. Afternoon.
After meeting with Harmony and learning of how she came to be, the Fused Pony was now a friend of Twilight and her friends, while also being a new ally to them all. A rather powerful one. And now that they were friends and Harmony would be at Twilight's beck and all, the Princess of Friendship had one request for Harmony.
"If possible, could you help us with befriending Prisma?" Twilight dropped a bombshell of a request, one that stunned everyone. She knew it was a lot to ask of someone who's been asleep for so long, but she felt that Harmony could provide a unique insight into the situation. After all, she was the embodiment of the Elements of Harmony. She might be the one who could help Prisma find his way back to the light.
"....Mmngh...!" Harmony froze upon hearing that request. It felt like she had been stabbed in the back. "Be-Be-Befriend...the...him?"
"Well, it is a bit of an ask...I know..." Twilight trailed off. She could understand how overwhelming the task might seem to someone like Harmony, but she was confident in her abilities to handle the situation.
"Uh, Twi'?" Applejack walked up to her, pulling her back. "Are ya sure about this?"
"What do you mean?" She asked, not sure what AJ meant.
"I'm just wonderin' if it's alright to make such a big ask to Harmony. We all know how powerful Prisma is. He's a force to reckon with. What's even the chance of her being able to do what she's gotta?" AJ asked her. "I just wanna make sure you're thinking it through before makin' such a big ask."
"Of course. I have no doubt Harmony's capable. She is the embodiment of all the Elements. She's a fusion. I'm sure she's got a good chance to be able to do it. But even so, it is still her choice if she wants to help or not." Twilight responded, her words full of confidence.
"Befriend Prisma...? Hah...Haha!" Harmony suddenly let out a loud cackle that caused the others to look at her. She seemed to be laughing uncontrollably, unable to control her emotions. "I don't even know where to start...Prisma...Befriend Prisma. HA! That's funny."
"I guess it's a no, then?" Rarity commented. "I'm sorry we made such an outrageous ask. I'm sure it was too much."
"I'll do it!" Harmony exclaimed with a wide smile, shocking everyone in the room, especially Twilight. The alicorn wasn't sure how to take the sudden shift in Harmony's demeanor and was taken back by her enthusiasm.
"You will? But, Harmony, you do know the danger and how tough it's gonna be?" Twilight asked her. She didn't want Harmony to agree without fully understanding the risks.
"Yes! I know what it's gonna entail but...!" She paused for a moment, a solemn look on her face as she thought of what it could mean. "I'll try and do it for her...if I can..." She looked at the ground with a sombre look. She took a deep breath before continuing, "It'll be tough but...I owe this to Twilight Luminaria, and I'm willing to do it if she asked for this. I'll do whatever it takes."
Twilight couldn't believe it. She didn't expect such a reaction, especially not from Harmony, who was still clearly struggling to accept the idea. "You don't have to do it if you don't want to, Harmony." Twilight explained to her. She didn't want her to feel obligated in any way.
Harmony paused for a moment and sighed before continuing. "I understand...and I know you're looking out for my best interests. I appreciate it. I do." Harmony responded with a small, hesitant smile. She didn't want Twilight to feel like she had forced her into the situation, but at the same time, she knew she had made up her mind.
"Besides, it's for my friend and his counterparts. All of them have parts of Prisma's soul in them, so..." Twilight rubbed her hoof, putting on a slight smile.
"Hm? Wait a second..." Then it clicked with Harmony. She didn't put it together earlier when she really should have. She was a bit slow to realize that Prisma was around in this existence, finally registering it. "Are you saying...Prisma is in this Universe?!" Harmony bellowed, her voice echoing with the same frequency as the Royal Canterlot Voice. Everyone felt the powerful echo of the voice, the entire palace trembling from the force of her voice.
"Whoa!" The others gasped, their eyes wide as they tried to keep themselves from tumbling over. They were all surprised by Harmony's outburst and her ability to use the Royal Canterlot voice. She didn't seem the type.
Harmony quickly realized her mistake, the powerful shout surprising her and making her gasp as well. "Sorry, but...Ah, this is the worst! I should've realized that the second you brought up his name! That means that Her Majesty's spell was for nothing...and Prisma ended up existing after all." Harmony lowered her head.
"Now hold, on! Let's not jump to conclusions yet! Prisma hasn't fully returned and the worst hasn't happened yet!" Twilight quickly diffused the situation, not wanting to see Harmony lose her composure again. She needed her to remain calm, despite her fears. "Besides...if he did, the Universe wouldn't even exist right now. And it is." Twilight said.
"R-Right...Good point." Harmony huffed. "He's not here...he's not here."
"So, I just need your help to ensure that no amount of mass destruction ever happens. I've started an entire team just for that and you're a part of it too. So no need to worry too much, okay?" Twilight reassured. Harmony nodded in understanding, putting it all past her. "I'll tell you more later. Right now, it's a good time to get to know each other." Twilight said to her, and Harmony looked up, her expression slowly returning to normal.
"Okay!" She smiled, feeling much better now. "Thank you...Your Radiance." She bowed, the others smiling as they watched the display. Twilight's kindness and compassion were shining through and she was able to bring harmony back to a place of peace. It was something to behold.
Now that Harmony was here to help, there was one other thing to address. What will she do the entire time? Aside from being a servant within Unilight Palace and being a guide for everyone, what else? Twilight didn't want her to feel left out. She needed to figure something out.
But Harmony already had something figured out. After all, she was five of Twilight's friends put together.
Ponyville. Sweet Apple Acres.
Many minutes passed and Applejack was back on her farm, doing work as always. Assisting as always was Sceptile, Golurk and the 11 Golett as well as Kangaskhan.
It had been quite the eventful morning, meeting someone like Harmony and seeing that there's even more than what meets the eye.
"Phew, well. This sure was somethin' else." Applejack said to her Pokemon.
"Kanga..." Kangaskhan was tired from the day as well. She took off her straw hat and fanned herself, feeling a bit hot. It was another bright sunny day and the apple trees had to be cared for. Meanwhile, Li'l Kanga would wander around the place.
"Goooo!" The Golett were all doing their tasks, some were harvesting apples and placing them in a basket while others carried those baskets back to the storage barn. But exceeding them easily was Golurk, who was naturally stronger but also acted as a leader to its pre-evolutions. Golurk was able to lift up entire carts of apples with one finger, much more than any Golett could ever carry. The other Golett looked on, admiring Golurk's power. They've been doing so ever since he evolved, looking up to him.
"Goluuuurrrk..." It'd sigh, carrying on.
"Skh..." Sceptile carried his own share, carrying a lot with ease. He'd climb apple trees, and then would jump down and land with a stomp. He'd do that to multiple apple trees, making sure he didn't miss anything.
But as they working, suddenly, in a flash of brilliant light, someone teleported in. Golurk and the Golett were startled by this, their attention suddenly shifted towards the person.
"G-Golurk!"
"G-Goooo!" The Golett gasped, and they were right to do so because who was standing there was none other than...
"Harmony?" Applejack saw her, her eyes wide.
"Heya Applejack. And hi, Pokemon!" Harmony greeted them. Applejack looked around and noticed the rest of her Pokemon were also shocked by her presence, all looking on with awe.
"Ain't you supposed to be in the castle?" AJ asked her, confused by the sudden visit. She wasn't expecting anyone, let alone the fusion.
"Well, yes. But I also realized that now that I'm here...I figured I'd make myself comfortable. Get back into what I used to do. Well, before I became one being. After all, I'm you and your friends put together, so..." Harmony said with a grin, a glimmer in her eye as she approached Applejack. The farmer watched, still a little bewildered, as Harmony continued to explain. "It's like a blast from the past, ain't it? Like the old days, before I became who I am now. It's like a second chance."
It all made sense. The Applejack part of her was showing, and it was only natural that she wanted to work the farm. Applejack couldn't help but chuckle, understanding exactly why her counterpart had come.
"I guess I can see what'cha mean." Applejack nodded, giving Harmony a pat on the back. "Ya don't mind gettin' a bit dirty, do ya? Even when wearing all of that fancy stuff? Won't the Rarity part of you mind?"
"Not at all!" Harmony responded with a wink.
"Alright then! Here, I got ya." Applejack offered her hat. Harmony eagerly took it, placing it atop her head and smiling. The hat was slightly too big for her but it was good enough. Once she had the hat on, she would stretch her wings and body.
"Ah, this feels great!" Harmony sighed, her eyes sparkling with delight. "It's been far too long since I've had a chance to get my hooves dirty like this. It's refreshing, isn't it?"
And since the Applejack part of her wished to do this, all the natural skills carried over as well. "Whoa! Ya did it all in a few seconds! Yer almost as good as me!" Applejack was amazed at how fast Harmony was. It was no wonder she was so good at this. After all, she had been doing the exact same thing back on her home farm for so many years.
But not only that, her skills were elevated thanks to the fusion. The other Elements made her an expert at all sorts of different things. Immediately, she got to work, moving around with the grace of a dancer and the skill of a seasoned veteran. Her hooves moved swiftly and precisely, plucking apples off trees with a finesse that made it look like a work of art.
Everything she did was a lot like what Applejack could already do but at a faster rate with far more stamina. Applejack couldn't help but marvel at how easily Harmony seemed to do everything, as if it were second nature.
Harmony was able to pick and move apples with a speed that rivaled that of Applejack's own. The Golett and Sceptile couldn't help but stare in awe, their mouths open in disbelief as Harmony's hooves flew from one apple tree to another. She would pluck them all off in just a matter of seconds and move on.
Even with Sceptile's ability to cut the apple tree down and Golurk's incredible strength to lift up all of that weight with one finger, they were nowhere near as fast as Harmony. It was almost as if Harmony was the master of her own element, and that the other Pokémon were simply trying to keep up with her.
Harmony even went as far as to lift an apple cart all on her own, and then move it to the storage barn, all without breaking a sweat. She wasn't even using magic either.
As they continued to work, the Golett were starting to feel a little bit inadequate, but they pushed through and did their best to try and match Harmony's incredible speed. Golurk was also starting to get a bit jealous, and the competition between them and Harmony only seemed to intensify as the day went on.
Of course, Harmony could also just use magic to speed up te process. Her body was naturally filled with magical energy. All ponies were. So with the right amount of control and focus, Harmony was able to levitate the apples from the trees and into the baskets, or even the baskets to the storage barn. Of course, she'd save that for later, just in case the other Pokemon got jealous of her ability to use such magic.
And just like that, all the work was done in an hour, a task that would usually take all day. Everything had been done, the barn filled up with all sorts of apples in multiple baskets and crates, the trees themselves looked clean and the entire area looked sparkling clean, even the farmhouse.
"Whew!" Harmony wiped her brow, grinning. "Ah...it's been a while since I did this much farm work. Even with all that stamina...it still takes a lot out of me."
Applejack just watched her in awe. "I'm impressed, sugarcube." Applejack chuckled. "You're good at this. You're definitely me." She patted Harmony's shoulder, and Harmony smiled, enjoying the moment. But she wasn't done yet.
"That's one finished. I think next...I'll head to Rarity!" In a flash, she was gone, teleporting away from the farm, leaving a sparkle of magic behind. The others just watched her go.
Carousel Boutique.
Next was Carousel Boutique.
Rarity was hard at work with her fashion designing as usual alongside Pheromosa. The duo were busy making new dresses, Rarity with the scissors and Pheromosa just using her own speed to create the perfect dresses with ease. Her long thin claws would cut the fabrics and with a spin, the clothes would fly and she would move around with her superhuman speed and reflexes, catching and sewing the fabrics together in an instant.
She would do this over and over, and it was always amazing to see her work. Her speed was so fast and precise that it was hard to even follow with your eyes. In a flash, an entire dress would be made in a single instant. Pheromosa would then place the dresses in a closet and get to work making more, while Rarity was in awe at the speed at which Pheromosa worked. Pheromosa was actually new to this, deciding to pick up Rarity's hobby and already being a fast learner.
"Well done, Pheromosa. Now you're getting better at this so swiftly." Rarity chuckled, watching her work. But then she felt the same presence she did earlier.
A sudden flash of light appeared and in an instant, Harmony appeared before them. Pheromosa was stunned, stopping her movements and staring at the newcomer. She had not sensed her presence until just now.
"Wagh!" Rarity screeched, jumpscared by Harmony's sudden appearance. "Oh! Good gracious...!"
"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to surprise you! I should have known that would happen..." Harmony apologized. She had a tendency to do this. Her eyes then locked onto the dress that Pheromosa made, admiring the work of the Pokemon. "Oh, that's a very nice dress!" Harmony exclaimed. She looked over at Rarity, who seemed to be taking in the compliment.
"Well, Pheromosa made it. It's her 4th Dress ever made. She's quite skilled for starting out recently." Rarity explained.
"Phero!" Pheromosa proudly put her hands on her hips. Rarity smiled and then turned back to Harmony. She was about to say something when Harmony interrupted.
"How I've missed doing this. Well, back in my universe, I did this often, even after becoming one being." Harmony stated. "But my this design is...interesting. What is it supposed to be?"
When looking at the dress that Pheromosa was making, the fabric had a strange pattern of colors and designs. It was like a patchwork of various materials, with a variety of bright colors that almost looked like they were clashing with each other.
"It looks...like an abstract piece of art." Rarity stated.
"Phero! Pheromo!" Pheromosa explained what it was to Harmony. "Phero!"
"Really? I didn't realize that! Oh dear!" Harmony was shocked, and she felt a twinge of embarrassment at the realization that Pheromosa was creating such a unique dress, and she didn't recognize it. Naturally, thanks to the Fluttershy part of her, she could easily understand Pheromosa. "It really does look good."
"It does, doesn't it? Pheromosa, you have such talent. You must be very proud of your work!" Rarity beamed.
"How about I make something here? How would you like to see what a Unilight Design looks like? I mean, you're looking at one right now." Harmony suggested, tugging her own dress.
"Dresses from Unilight?! I'd be honored!" Rarity smiled. Harmony smiled and then she quickly set to work, using the materials she was able to conjure and the designs that came from the depths of her imagination. Rarity was about to bear witness to the various styles that Unilight had.
She started off by drawing a few sketches of the dress on a piece of paper, taking in the various materials that were in front of her. She had an idea of what she wanted the dress to look like and was eager to start creating it. Once she had her designs drawn out, she set to work. With the scissors that she was able to conjure and her own natural creativity, she began to make the dress. She took the fabric and cut it with the scissors, then sewed the pieces together with the help of her Magic.
Harmony's skill with a sewing needle and thread was unmatched. Her magical aura moved quickly and expertly, creating beautiful, exquisite stitches. Her skill with the needle was so great, in fact, that the thread seemed to flow through the fabric as if it was being drawn on by an invisible hand. Her skill and technique was so advanced, it seemed as if the fabric itself was alive and was actively participating in the process. It was as if the needle was an extension of Harmony's own hoove.
"Done!" Harmony said after she finished creating the dress, putting her tools down and standing back to admire her work. She had crafted a beautiful and elegant dress, with a perfect fit, intricate details and an elegant and flowing silhouette that would flatter any figure.
"This is a Common Unilight Design. It's what they're like." Harmony explained. The dress was made of a light, shimmering fabric that was both strong and comfortable. The design was simple, yet elegant and beautiful. It had a wide neckline and long sleeves, with a fitted bodice that flared out into a full skirt.
"Oooh, I'm loving the design, it's absolutely gorgeous!" Rarity was impressed by Harmony's skill. "You must teach me how to make a dress like that!" She looked at her with admiration. "Please?" Rarity asked, hopeful for an affirmative response.
"Of course!" Harmony replied. The two shared a smile, knowing that with the help of the Rarity part of her, she was more than capable of helping her. They spent the rest of the day in the shop, discussing various dress styles and fabrics, with Harmony sharing her knowledge and expertise.
Unilight's design choices, while similar to this universe's, were still different enough. For one, Unilight's dresses had incredibly complex details, as if the dress were alive and also making everyone there seem like some type of nobility or of elite status. And that was mostly for the average citizen. Harmony was more than willing to share her secrets and help Rarity to make a Unilight style dress of her own, just to see what she could do with it.
The Pokemon House.
With the rest of the day passing, Harmony was heading elsewhere. This time, she wanted to pay a visit to Fluttershy, which meant heading straight for the Pokemon Houses that the timid Pegasus owned. But when Harmony arrived, she saw someone nearby, already present at the Pokemon House.
The Fused Pony paused, looking onwards. To her shock, it was him.
Standing there was the boy who not only bared a strikingly strong resemblance to Prisma, but was also one of Prisma's incarnations. Standing there was Ash.
She stared at him in shock, unable to believe that this was happening. He truly looked like him, mainly from the face and the hairstyle, albeit shorter. The one who destroyed so much in her universe was here in this universe.
"Prisma..." Harmony whispered, her eyes widening in shock and horror as she took a step back. She felt her heart racing in her chest and a chill ran down her spine.
As the journey continues.
