My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Luminaria vs Moonlight
Previous ChapterNext ChapterUnilight. Unilight City. Aftertoon.
Twilight Luminaria was now a massive being of energy, standing 500ft tall. Just as tall as the Storm Behemoth was. She towered over every building here, looking down on her reincarnation who would dare speak to her in such a way. She pushed her buttons perfectly to the point where this had happened.
Now, a clash between the two was about to begin.
"You have no idea how powerful I am." Twilight Luminaria spoke, her voice powerful and imposing.
"Prove it." Twilight Moonlight taunted. "You know you want to."
"You're right." Twilight Luminaria raised her wing, creating a huge gust of wind, sending Twilight Moonlight flying. She crashed into the rubble, feeling the force of the wind. Twilight Luminaria's wings were like a tornado, sweeping her away with ease.
"Ugh!" Twilight Moonlight groaned, pushing herself up, but she was too weak to stand. "I can't let this stop me!" She gritted her teeth, pushing herself to her hooves and using her magic to help with that.
But Twilight Luminaria was not to be trifled with, her eyes were filled with an intense rage. She was not going to let her opponent get away with her taunts. "You're playing with fire." She spoke, her voice dripping with malice.
"Samu!" Hisuian Samurott and Lilligant got in front of Twilight Moonlight, ready to defend her.
"Get out of my way!" Twilight Luminaria was enraged as she wold one of her 50 unique magics she could call her own. In this case, she used magic that allowed her perfect manipulation of all things plasma. From thin air, she manifested plasma itself, the fourth state of matter, a collection of protons, electrons and ions.
It was bright and extremely hot, with a blinding light and a searing heat. Twilight Luminaria was able to control it with her magic, using it to blast her enemies with devastating force and incinerate anything that stood in her way. She formed an orb of plasma, and threw it at the three with an immense amount of power.
The orb flew through the air, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. "Use Ceaseless Edge!"
"Samu!" Samurott attempted to slice the orb in half with his blade, swinging them down onto the orb. The collission sent ripples of plasma across the area, making Samurott stagger as he tried destroying it. He soon realized that he couldn't so the best thing to do was send it back.
"Lilligant! Use Petal Blizzard!" Moonlight ordered.
"Lilli! Gant!" Lilligant twirled around in the air, creating a storm of petals that swirled around the orb and lifted it off the ground, pulling it away from Samurott and carrying it away. As it floated through the air, the orb was slowly disintegrating as the petals tore away at it. The orb was soon reduced to a small ball of energy, before finally exploding in a burst of light. The shockwave sent Lilligant and Samurott flying.
Twilight Luminaria wasn't even bothered. Not by their interference. She just stared at the explosion, waiting for them to get up again. But Twilight Moonlight had other plans, she was done with the games and wanted to end this now.
By using another type of magic, one known as Frostfire Fusion.
"W-What is that...?"
"Something that only Kyurem is usually capable of. But I have managed to find my own way. Frostfire Fusion. A type of magic that fuses the power of both primoradial fire and ascended ice into a single, incredibly powerful type of magic. It was a difficult magic for me to master, as it required precise control of both elements, and the slightest mistake could cause the spell to fail and erase the concepts of both heat and cold. When used successfully, however, it does this."
When unleashing the spell, the magic would create a massive explosion that would cover the entire area in a blinding white light. The area would be filled with a blinding light as the two elements clashed, and the force of the explosion would be enough to send the target flying backwards.
"Argh!" Twilight Moonlight was knocked down by the explosion, her body rolling on the ground. The aftermath was a massive cluster of ice that surrounded the area along with flames that burned through the atmosphere itself. "Ugh! Get off me!"
"Rott! Samurott!" The Formidable Pokémon had been sent back, his head colliding with a pile of rubble. He groaned in pain as he pushed himself up.
"Gant! Lilligant!" Lilligant, too had been knocked down. She was lying on the ground, her head spinning. Her body was covered in bruises, and her eyes were closed. She was unconscious, her breathing shallow. Twilight Moonlight quickly used her magic, returning them both.
"That was a cheap shot." Twilight Moonlight said, glaring at Twilight Luminaria.
"You be quiet." Her eyes would flash as she would form a field of gravity around Twilight Moonlight, causing the Unicorn to collapse. She couldn't move. The force was too much.
"Agh! What is...this?!" Twilight Moonlight was trying to move, but the gravity was so strong, it was as if her body was made of lead. "This is impossible! How can you be so powerful?! You've only just awakened!" She gritted her teeth, struggling to move. She could barely move her hooves, and her breathing was becoming more and more labored. The gravity was crushing her, and she was losing consciousness.
"You have no idea how many years I've had to learn magic. All these years of living and dying have allowed me to hone my abilities to perfection, and you are no match for me. I am the Queen of Magic." Twilight Luminaria spoke with a booming voice, her eyes glowing with an intense light. "The amount of time you've spent learning magic pales in comparison to mine. You can't even measure up to how many forms of magic I've learned. Your attempts to stop me are futile."
"Kh..." However, for Twilight Moonlight, it wasn't yet over. The magical items she managed to buy were still available. Using her magic, she took out one of the items from her saddlebag, knowing a way around the gravity. The item she took out was in the shape of an eye. Harnessing its power, Twilight Moonlight would make her body intangible and would regain her mobility.
Afterwards, she ascended into the air with this intangible ghost-like body. "You may have a lot of magic. But that doesn't make you unstoppable." She would hold out the same eye-shaped object, using its power to summon six giant orbs of pure shadow from above.
The orbs glowed with a dark, black energy, and they seemed to have a strange, otherworldly energy to them. They were pulsing with a strange, ethereal energy that seemed to be drawn to the Unicorn. As they got closer, the orbs began to spin and swirl around Twilight Moonlight, creating a strange, shimmering vortex of light.
"Take this!" She would throw them down onto Twilight Luminaria, each one having enough power to cause a devastating impact. The first orb hit Twilight Luminaria, the second orb hit the ground, causing a massive explosion that sent out a shockwave of energy that rippled outwards, destroying the nearby buildings and sending debris flying. The third orb hit Twilight Luminaria, the fourth orb hit the ground, and so on until all six orbs had been used.
The Queen of Unilight grumbled, feeling each of these orbs at their fullest as her massive boy would slide across the streets of her city. Entire buildings would shake and crumble to the ground as she was being pushed back, but Twilight Luminaria would eventually find her footing and would stand in place, her gaze landing on the smaller Unicorn as her back was against a massive building.
"Hm!" Her eyes would flash as she would manage to interact with Twilight Moonlight even when intangible. Using a magic known as Phantom Resonance, she would create a powerful connection between herself and Twilight Moonlight, allowing the two of them to be connected on a physical and mental level. This connection would allow Twilight Moonlight to feel the same physical and mental sensations that Twilight Luminaria was feeling, even when she was in her intangible form. As such, Twilight Luminaria would make her fall from the sky, slamming onto the floor.
"What?!" Twilight Moonlight groaned. "Ngh!" She would use the same item once again, this time to make a gigantic shadow fist appear from above. It would float in the sky, aiming to slam onto Twilight Luminaria and the building. The fist was made of pure shadows, and it was as big as a house.
But Twilight Luminaria would freeze the fist in place before manipulating it herself. She then manipulated the shadows of the entire city, taking it from every shade under ever tree, building, and pony. By taking their shadows, she added them to the shadow fist, using it as her own. Afterwards, Twilight Luminaria brought it down, attacking Twilight Moonlight instead.
"!" Moonlight looked up and was forced to dodge, but the fist was huge. She was unable to dodge in time. The fist slammed into her, sending her flying into the air as her intangible body was solidified due to the impact. "Gaah!"
Twilight Moonlight's body was sent flying into the air, her body twisting and contorting as she was slammed into the ground. The impact was so hard that it sent shockwaves of energy through the ground, creating a massive crater. Twilight Moonlight groaned in pain as she lay in the crater, her body bruised and battered.
"Ough..." The unicorn groaned.
"Give up now." The princess spoke as she'd stomp her way to her. She towered over the smaller unicorn. "You'll become a part of me again, no matter what."
"You wish..." Using another one of her items, Twilight Moonlight decided that she wasn't out of the game just yet. This time, using an item known as Dawne. A sun-shaped item that would release a disgustingly blinding solar light from above. A pillar of sunlight that would envelop Twilight Luminaria.
Twilight Luminaria stood in the center of the beam of light, her body glowing with the intense light. The light was so bright that it caused her to close her eyes as her body absorbed the energy of the beam. "You..." She would try to step out, but her body felt heavy, as if the beam of light was weighing her down. "This has the heat of the sun itself...But that won't stop me." She would eventually step out of the light, but her eyes widened when she saw Twilight Moonlight with a new form of body.
She was enveloped in a lunar aura, and her horn was glowing with a pitch-black power. "What?" Twilight Moonlight would raise her hoof, eliminating the solar light. Then she would use a powerful spell, one that was able to create a powerful lunar eclipse that would darken the entire city, plunging it into total darkness.
All the citizens looked around in shock and fear, their voices echoing in the darkness. "What's happening?"
It looked like the world had shut off its light with how dark it appeared. Nothing could be seen whatsoever. Even a glow of magic from their horns failed to show any clarity. It was just that dark.
Twilight Moonlight was the source of the eclipse, her body glowing with a powerful lunar energy that surrounded the entire city, plunging it into total darkness. The moon was now the only source of light, its eerie glow casting an unsettling atmosphere over the city.
But Twilight Moonlight was able to show clarity, using her amazing pool of magic to light up the darkness, illuminating a certain amount of area around herself and Twilight Luminaria, who's eyes were glowing in the darkness.
"All the items you managed to obtain are powerful, yes. But I'm above them. I've seen them in action and know the perfect counter to them all. I wouldn't even need to use my own unique forms of magic to respond to them." Twilight Luminaria said.
"Yeah, it seems to be that way...but does that count towards Pokemon?" Twilight Moonlight would smirk.
"Hm?" The Queen of Unilight raised an eyebrow before realizing what Moonlight was referring to. She hadn't seen Samurott or Lilligant anywhere for a while after hitting them with the Frostfire Fusion. "!!"
"Samu!" Samurott blended in well within the darkness as he had used Ceaseless Edge, appearing from behind. Before Twilight Moonlight could turn around and act, Samurott slashed her in the back of her neck at full force.
A full direct hit with absolutely clarity from Samurott, who had no problem seeing in the dark. This was the most precise hit he's dealt with, slashing at the magical energy around Twilight Luminaria and connecting with her neck. The Queen of Unilight was in shock as her pupils shrunk and dilated while her eyes widened. She couldn't speak and she couldn't move, frozen in place. Her body was so stiff, and she couldn't move a muscle.
She couldn't even think of what had just happened. She was so focused on Twilight Moonlight that she hadn't even noticed the Pokemon behind her. Her body was so stiff that she couldn't even react to the attack.
Her eyes would flicker, slowly shutting as she was forced to her knees, her body falling to the floor as she was knocked out. The eclipse was no more, and the area was illuminated once more.
"Heh." Twilight Moonlight grinned, satisifed with that perfect hit Samurott landed. From the looks of it, she truly brought down Twilight Luminaria.
As the darkness vanished, back at the stadium, Grogar was overseeing the Star Trials in the Queen's abscence, observing Ash and the others. They managed to clear the second stage and were now moving onto the third stage.
This time, the third trial was centered around teamwork and coordination. For this, it shouldn't be a problem for Ash and the others. Not by a long shot. They've proven they can work well as a team, Ash and Celestia especially go well like bread and butter. Even the counters of Ash can work in sync with each other wonderfully, being the same person after all.
But with Professor Grogar now in charge, he would make this as unfair for them as possible. Then again, Twilight Luminaria already made it unfair in the first place for the first two trials.
They found themselves in another Unilight exclusive location. One known as Thegheo Enclave, a massive arena in the middle of a lake, with thousands of seats on a circular platform. The arena was in the shape of a hexagon, with a series of platforms and obstacles in the middle. At the top of the platform, there was a large, golden bell, with a series of ropes and levers that connected to the bell and the platforms.
"This is the third trial," Grogar spoke. "You have to reach the bell and ring it in order to pass the trial. You'll need to work as a team, and trust each other to get through the obstacles and reach the bell. There's a time limit to this. You have 30 minutes to complete the trial. If you don't reach the bell in time, you fail. Straight below from 950 ft in the air."
He pointed to the bell. "The bell is rigged with a magical device that will activate if you fail. It will release a magical energy that will knock you out and send you back to the start. So, you must work together and reach the bell within the allotted time." Grogar would give a sinister smile as he had rigged this entire thing. He would be in control of the entire arena and was able to manipulate the obstacles and the time limit to make sure that the group failed.
"That's it? Sounds easier than the last two." said Ethan, shrugging his shoulders.
"I'm sure you'll find the challenge more difficult than you think." Grogar replied, giving a smirk. "Especially with them." Grogar had one major obstalce in the way he summoned to this dimension. That being more monstrified Pokemon. This time, matieralizing from thin air were Pokemon fit for this whole teamwork aspect. It wouldn't just be Ash's group that would work as team. So would the Pokemon.
Ninjask and Shedinja appeared, merging their powers into a terrifying swarm-like entity. Ninjask becomes the commander of the swarm, growing in size with blade-like wings that hum at frequencies causing disorientation. Shedinja became a spectral sentinel, the halo above it radiating and appearing jagged.
Next to them were Combee and their Queen Vespiquen, merging as well and forming a titanic hive construct. Vespiquen grew to immense size, with Combee swarming around her, acting as both her shield and her weapon.
Then there were many Minior that were all Monstrified. Each of them combined into a single, massive asteroid-like, the outer parts of their body radiating a fiery energy with blazing eyes that would glare at Ash's group.
And finally, there was Plusle and Minun. The Pokemon that embodied teamwork. Plusle and Minun had not become one and stayed seperate. Plusle evolved into a radiant, electrified entity that embodies the energy of positivity and encouragement at its core. Its tiny body expanded into a sleek, quadrupedal beast cloaked in golden lightning, with its cheeks glowing like twin suns. Its tail becomes a long, conductive rod crackling with electricity. Despite its transformation, Plusle retains its cheery smile.
And then there was Minun. Minun transformed into a shadowy, storm-wreathed predator embodying the energy of negativity and disruption. Its body became surrounded by dark, crackling electricity, and its tail was far more aggressive, looking like a whip.
"All these transformed Pokemon..." Lucas uttered.
"At least we have ways to turn them back to normal." Celestia said.
"Alright guys! Let's do our best, okay?" Ash said to his friends, determined to succeed in the challenge.
The rest nodded, determined to reach the top and ring the bell.
Outside this dimension, the stadium and Unilight itself, someone was approaching. Someone who hadn't fallen asleep thanks to the Monstrified Gothitelle and was a part of One Light. None other than Twilight Sparkle's trusty assistant.
Spike.
He was on the back Salamence, soaring through the air and looking at the city of Unilight in the distance. "There it is. That's the main city." Spike pointed ahead.
"Sala!" The Dragon Pokemon gave a sharp roar as he began to descend towards the city. He was ready for whatever might come his way. He was determined to find his friends and make sure they were safe.
Spike held on tight, as Salamence was going at an incredible speed. Spike could see the city growing larger and larger as they approached, and he could make out the various buildings and streets from this height.
And there, he saw it. Twilight Luminaria had been downed. Or in this case, from his point of view, Twilight Sparkle had been downed, her massive body lying on the ground thanks to Samurott's sneak attack.
But he knew that was not Twilight Sparkle right now in that body. That was Luminaria taking over. It still hurt to see his friend in such a state, but that was why he was here. To help her, including Ash and the others. "Just wait, Twilight. I'm on my way. And I brought something with me that can help...The Dragon Matter."
As the journey continues.
