My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Ash vs Grogar! Win no matter the Cost
Previous ChapterNext ChapterWithin Delia's Mindscape.
"Oh my...Again?" Delia looked around her own Mindscape, seeing that she's now in a different setting, in front of the Arcane Institute. She was wearing the outfit that the teacher of the institute gave to her. "This is so bizarre, I'll admit..."
Prisma was flabbergasted. Why was she in his head?! "How...Why?! WHY DID I MANAGE TO ENTER YOU MIND INSTEAD?!"
"I'm not sure myself...but I honestly don't mind being back here." Delia replied. "If it means speaking with you again. Because..." Suddenly, her expression turned from calm to serious, staring at Prisma.
"How annoying...How could I have met up with you again?" Prisma held his head, confused by it all. "My power is nearly back to how it was. Everything about me feels like it's almost complete...and yet I'm still lacking things."
"I think I know why you ended up meeting with me again." Delia said. "I don't know everything about mindscapes and the like, but I'm meeting you again, because maybe my incarnation is allowing me to."
"What?" Prisma raised an eyebrow, being visibly confused.
"You don't remember do you? I learned everything, Prisma. Your past and how it all led to this. All those resets were because of one person. My own incarnation I didn't even know I had. Selene."
"!!" That name struck a chord in Prisma's memory. A name that was forgotten to him. But once it was said, it instantly messed with his own mind. "...No way..."
"So, a part of you does remember her." Delia smiled lightly at the reaction, being relieved at that. "Hah...What a relief. I suppose it just took the mention of her."
"That name..." Prisma, while reacting to that name, was trying to figure out why it was so familiar to him. What could the significance be? "Selene?"
"Yes." She nods. "You see, I managed to learn the truth about the original version of myself. And I learned that Selene is the one responsible for all the resets you went through Prisma. Every last one of them."
"What nonsense are you talking about?!"
"The Star Tyrant did always come to destroy your universe, yes. But it was never the reason for why the universe kept resetting or even your victories against it. There was another force at work. Someone else was doing all of that. Making the Universe reset, reviving everyone who perished and making sure the world is exactly as it was. No matter how many times the cycle happened. Selene was responsible. But it was all for keeping everyone safe. If not, then surely, your entire universe would truly be lost..."
"...You're joking, are you?" Prisma clenched his hand, looking down.
"No. You're in my mindscape, aren't you? Perhaps you can figure that whilst in here."
Prisma was already on it. While standing still, he was already looking through the memories of Delia. He saw that they were speaking the truth. Delia was not lying. Not one bit. All she said was true and now, it was clicking for Prisma. The reason why her face looked so familiar made sense to him. This whole time, he never knew that Delia was a reincarnation of his mother.
Only because once the very first reset happened, he forgot about his mother.
"Prisma. She's been doing it to ensure that you live on. Every reset, she used her entire body to stop the Star Tyrant and the one who teamed up with it, Thyrian. All in an effort to make sure your universe lived on, no matter what." Delia continued. "It was never a mistake on your part as to why you could never stop battling the Star Tyrant."
"..."
"Even after the first reset, she stayed behind to keep the universe safe, but she never expected that you would remember all the resets that came before. It was never her intention and-"
"You...!" Just then, Prisma would move as a flash of light before appearing in front of Delia. The mother of Ash gasped as Prisma grabbed her by the neck, lifting her in the air and slamming her head into a wall, shocking her. Delia groaned, opening her eyes to look at Prisma in shock. "You're telling me, that the reason why I've suffered all of this time was because of her?!"
"I-"
"Every last bit of suffering was because of her?! All of the pain I've endured, the people I've destroyed, the ones that perished and the worlds that fell apart was BECAUSE OF HER!?" He yelled, tightening his grip on her. She tried to get his hand off her neck, but the more she struggled, the harder he would tighten his grip.
"Ngh...!"
"You took everything from me!" Prisma grit his teeth, referring to Delia as Selene. "Do you have any idea how haunting all of that is?! To go through all of those resets! To see every single one of my friends be destroyed time and time again....!" His eyes started to become bloodshot red. "How could she do that to her own child?!"
"Because..." She gasped. "She's a parent. Parents are supposed to protect their children, no matter the cost, no matter the sacrifice, no matter the consequence." Delia explained.
"She's no mother of mine! She's...She-" But Prisma couldn't bring himself to finish that sentence. He wanted to make a point as to why she wasn't worthy to be his mother, but he couldn't. A strong part of him just couldn't. Not when the person in his grasp was the same person in another universe. Wasn't his fault, nor hers. She had no control of what happened in the other world.
"I don't know how far I would be able to go for my own son..." Delia said while still gasping. "But I know that I'd go far regardless just to make sure Ash is happy. That's all a parent could want from their child. Even though you aren't my son...I can't stand to see you suffer." Those words struck a chord with the boy, and his grip would loosen. As soon as the mother of the trainer could breathe, she would fall to the floor, holding her throat and coughing from the lack of oxygen.
Prisma would stare at her in a mix of emotions, guilt and anger being among the many that were running through his head. He would take a step back, slowly, trying to process everything that was going on in his mind. But then he would turn away, unable to look her in the face.
"How can you say that when all of that is happening outside? It's because of me that this chaos is happening. Twilight Luminaria and the entire Arcane Institute wants me gone. All of Unilight does. What does this change? All those resets but it led to nothing. Just an endless cycle."
"Prisma..."
"There was never another way...Ash Ketchum and his friends talked so much about making their own option...but there was no other option but those cycles. Selene herself probably knew that herself, didn't she?" Prisma continued while Delia stayed silent. "I decided to destroy everything. By doing so...I'll put everyone out of their misery. Especially Selene."
"Prisma, stop talking like that!"
"Why should I listen to you?! You're not my mother! Just because you have her face, voice and everything, you'll never be her! And frankly, I don't want to hear anything about her anymore! If she's still out there suffering, then destroying everything will bring an end to that." In a way, Prisma wanted to free Selene from her eternal prison and suffering, and the only way he could think was to destroy everything.
"Wait!"
"Do not interrupt me!" Prisma held his hand out, sending his grandiose Aura towards Delia. Delia would be consumed by the Aura as it would stream and flow across her entire body as she stood there, taking it all.
Grogar's Dimension.
At the same time, Sci-Twi was going through her own overwhelming experience. Right now, Grogar was using these magical tendrils to aggressively beat down on her. Each hit was painful and the poor girl was on the brink of passing out. But Grogar still needed her alive for Twilight Luminaria. But the pain of the hits would jostle her awake. Right now, her uniform was tattered and torn. Bruises were forming all across her body, especially her legs and arms. Her hair was messy and disheveled. She was on the ground, her breathing heavy and labored.
"Gah...Gh..." Sci-Twi breathed heavily.
"I told you. All that action has drained you so much magic. But then again, you never tapped into your full magical potential. Her Majesty was right about you being the weakest counterpart." Grogar insulted. "You just recently figured out how to harness magic on your own, but you're far too late."
"M-Maybe so..." Sci-Twi stuttered. "B-But even if I can't win. My friends will. I believe in all of them. Strength in numbers, after all." She looked up at him. "And I have plenty of them to help me through this."
"Ha. Your confidence is misplaced." Grogar scoffed. "Your friends won't be able to stop what's coming. Especially not when you're trapped in here. Listen well, brat. There are some things you just can't fight against. You are far too weak to do so anyways. But I'll admit, you did a decent job at lasting this long. So to be kind, surrender yourself at once and make this easy for the entire universe. For the sake of everyone's lives."
"I won't." But she wouldn't even think about it for a second. "I'll never do it. Not when Ash's life is on the line."
"You'd really sacrifice everything for him?!" Grogar looked over at Ash's body on the ground.
"I would...Ash did so much for me. I don't know where I'd be without him. I have a lot to thank Ash for! So I need to make it up to him! I need to repay him! And there's no better way to do it than this! If doing this means protecting his future, then I'll gladly take that risk." She slowly got back on her feet. Her body felt like it would give in, but her soul and spirit were determined to finish this. "If it'll save everyone's lives, then I'll keep on fighting! And I'll win, no matter what happens!"
"Then you've doomed yourself to a fate most dreadful." Grogar simply said before launching his biggest assault yet. All the tendrils would fly in once more to attack Sci-Twi, some of them even turning into beams. All the attacks would beat down and blast Sci-Twi as she screamed at the top of her lungs.
"GAAAAAAAAAAH!"
And all that screaming caused Ash to wake up. His eyes would open as his body would get off the ground. He looked around and noticed a certain friend in danger. Sci-Twi was getting hit by the attacks, and it was clear that it was taking a toll on her. Her skin and clothes were in bad shape, her screams showing that her voice was giving out. And her magic aura was starting to disappear. "TWILIGHT!"
"Rest well! Soon you'll be reunited with her majesty!" Grogar cackled before delivering the final hit. One last tendril would aggressively whip Sci-Twi, letting out a powerful echo across the dimension. That would finally cause her to fall back, absolutely overwhelmed to the core as her body bounced on the ground for a bit.
"Twilight! Twilight!" Ash bolted towards her, catching Sci-Twi as she fell. As he cradled her, her head would go limp. Her hair was a mess and she was barely breathing. On top of that, her magic aura was no longer present. No light was on her forehead, and her hands were no longer glowing. The only color was her dull eyes.
"Twilight! Hey!"
"A-Ash..." A weakened Sci-Twi looked up at him, happy to see Ash standing once more. "Y-You're okay..." As she said that, the corrupted magic, every single bit of it that attacked her would make her body glow. Sci-Twi's body was flowing with millions upon millions of Grogar's magic due to how much of a beatdown she suffered.
And because of this, at this very moment, her body was about to return. Specifically to Twilight Luminaria. She was going to vanish in Ash's arms. "I'm so...glad..."
"Hey, stay with me." Ash begged. He'd hold her hand and feel the warmth. The warmth was slowly fading.
"I did my best, Ash...I'm glad I got to help out a lot..." She continued as her body kept fading away. "Now...please...I leave the rest to you and everyone else. Don't let Prisma win...Don't let Twilight Luminaria win
"Twilight-"
"I'm happy...to have met you and the others. Thank you for being my friend. I'm sorry that we couldn't have more time together." With a smile, her body would completely fade away. Ash's arms would no longer hold her, and the warmth would be gone. Just like that, Sci-Twi had vanished, her essence taken to the location of Twilight Luminaria. She was now a part of Twilight Luminaria once more.
Ash would stand up, his face burning and shaking with rage. He yelled, tears falling from his eyes. Ash's anger had reached a new limit. He was furious, but there was something else. Something within was rising. It was his aura, his pure and strong Aura that was beginning to grow stronger, his entire body enveloping in a bright and blinding light that was causing everything to shake this dimension.
"Hahaha! Excellent! The only way I could have pulled that off was if her body was filled with all of my magic. The right amount is enough to ensure Her Majesty gets her. Then again, her majesty at her best could easily do it with minimal effort." Grogar boasted. "Right now, she should either be one step closer to her true self and power or...she's already reached it. And now, you're all that's left in here, Prisma. I will personally see to your absolute defeat."
"YOU!" Ash spoke. But the voice that came from him was the voice of his counterparts plus Prisma. Once more, Prisma's influence broke through as Ash was undergoing another awakening. The Dark Aura would explode

"Hm!" Grogar smirked, seeing the glow in Ash's eyes and the aura around him. "About time you confront me directly, Prisma. Even if you don't have your full body. Which you never will."
"Unforgivable...Doing that to Twilight..." Prisma spoke, having a good chunk of Ash speaking through him with that particular statement. "Everything you've done is unforgivable...!"
"Everything I've done is your fault! It is because of you that this is all happening! Your mindless destruction of our home led to this, Prisma! If anyone has done something unforgivable, it's you! I'm simply punishing those who would even try to defend someone like you." Grogar responded.
Both of these beings had a lot of pent up hatred for the other, and they were going to show it. "I will do it. I will relieve so many of their fears of you. I may not be able to fully destroy your soul, but I can crush you to the point where you will be incapable of movement. And then, Her Majesty will be the one to truly destroy you once and for all!"
"Enough talk!" Prisma pointed at him. "If you're so confident that you can crush me, then prove it. Before I crush you to absolute oblivion!" In his hand, he would manifest something. With his amazing power, Prisma manifested a Poke Ball, ready to battle.
"With pleasure." Grogar grinned as the confrontation between the two of them here was about to begin.
Galar. Unilight. The Main City. Near the Crown Tundra. Afternoon/
But before that, it happened. At Unilight, Sci-Twi's soul travelled all the way there, heading for the target that is Twilight Luminaria. And the Queen was already waiting for such a thing. She looked up in the sky, standing on top of the highest building here as the Soul of Sci-Twi could be seen approaching the city. "Well done, Grogar." She smiled.
The soul of Sci-Twi was fastly approaching. Twilight Luminaria knew exactly what to do. When the moment was right, a powerful spell was cast, blasting out of her horn. Suddenly, the soul was pulled towards her like a black hole.
Across all of Galar and beyond, the entire region would be illuminated by this overflowing amount of magical power. Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Luna and the other members of One Light would sense that sudden disturbance, the sheer magnitude of that magical energy being greater than any of them had felt.
They looked up in the sky to this glorious light. Rainbow Dash couldn't help but wonder if that was a good sign or a bad sign. She was a bit worried, to say the least. She turned to the others. "What is that?!" Whatever was happening, the six of them could definitely feel the magical power of the event that was taking place. So did everyone in the world, in fact. This was a phenomenon unlike anything else that has occurred. But the question remains. What was that?
"Whatever that is, I'm not liking it..." Applejack stated.
"...Oh no!" Harmony already knew what this was. The original Twilight had told her a while ago about the possibility of this. It was now confirmed that Twilight Luminaria had indeed regained her powers and was stronger than ever. There were no more tremors. Only peaceful sensations that flowed across the land, sea and sky. Calming. Soothing. Yet so powerful and majestic at the same time.
A being of outstanding magical power that was practically impossible to comprehend would emerge from the light, returning to existence in her full state. 100%. Nothing held back and missing at all. The citizens of Unilight all gazed in wonder at the stupendous light of their Queen that spread far and wide. They could feel her majesty, her glory, her splendor. Their fears and worries had faded. With the return of the Queen, the people had nothing to fear anymore. All was well. All was in perfect harmony. Everything was going to be okay to them.
Once the transformation was complete, Twilight Luminaria would finally wake up. Slowly, her eyes would open, appearing as her true self once more. All the guards present here would bow before their Queen, their ruler, the very soul of the nation.
"Welcome back, Your Majesty." They all said, speaking in unison.
"It's good to be back." The Queen spoke, her voice echoing. She had returned to her royal, majestic tone that her reincarnations had. Though this time, there was no doubt that she was a Queen. Someone of the highest authority, the highest power.
For the people of the kingdom, the Queen's return meant peace and prosperity. For those who opposed her or plotted against her, however, it was the beginning of the end. As for her subjects, the guards and the citizens of her kingdom, their hopes and dreams were realized. For years, the kingdom has been in a state of constant struggle and turmoil without their ruler, but with the return of their Queen, a new era of prosperity would soon begin. The dawn of a better age was on the horizon, and the future looked bright and promising, like a shining star in the dark.
"First thing's fist..." She looked over her city, knowing that something was missing. That being Unilight Palace, which was still all the way over at Equestria. But the Queen of Unilight could change that. "My palace and all things powerful in it shall return to me." To demonstrate that she was truly back to her true self, she would display her unreal magical power.
Her horn would start glowing her own magical aura which was much more vibrant than any of her counterparts', her mind focusing on one thing. Unilight Palace. In an instant, the entire castle would disappear from its location in Equestria, vanishing from the place. It would then appear in the sky above the capital, slowly coming down and setting itself into the center of the massive crater where the old castle once stood. It was a sight to behold.
The palace was the largest structure in the city, and the fact that it was now in its rightful place brought a sense of pride and joy to the people of the city. Not only that, but the Queen would bring everything that was left behind in the palace to the city. There were even some other buildings that were in the original city that had returned, including the museum, the library and a few others, all of them appearing on the outskirts of the city. All of these structures were restored to their former glory and were a symbol of hope and progress. They represented the resilience of the people and their ability to rebuild and move on from the past.
With her mighty power, the Queen would then restore the ground, causing the land to come to life. Grass, flowers and trees started to grow in the area, the once barren land becoming filled with life once again. The crater would vanish, the landscape being smooth and pristine. The lake that was once dry was now filled with water, making the whole place look like nothing ever happened. Finally, she would create a huge wall of light that would surround the entire city and the outskirts, the shield looking as strong as any diamond, the colour of the barrier matching her coat and her mane, a beautiful blue that would serve as a beacon of hope for all of the people of the kingdom.
"Much better." Twilight Luminaria said to her subjects. Then, the citizens would cheer. They had their Queen back and they were ready to fight to save the universe from the evil that threatened their home. Twilight would smile, and would raise her hoof, signalling for the crowd to be silent. Once quiet, she would speak. "Now all that is left is to finish off, Prisma. Right now, I have one of his counterparts in holding, but the process to erase the soul of Prisma requires all 10 together. But I trust that Professor Grogar can execute it perfectly. But I promise you all, we'll come out of this victorious."
In the dimension, Ash's battle with Grogar had begun. As Prisma threw the Poke Ball, out it emerged Zekrom. And upon emerging, Zekrom's eyes were glowing, signifying that he was already affected by Prisma's power, full on board with whatever he does. With his rage at a new high and his body taken over by Prisma, his voice sounded more aggressive and his actions more violent.
He would go and command his Pokemon, starting the battle. "Zekrom, Fusion Bolt!" He yelled as Zekrom would generate a bolt of lightning of massive proportions, holding it in his hands. He would then launch the ball as all the lightning around it would crack parts of the dimension.
Grogar responded to this by manipulating the space from this dimension, summoning elongated wormholes from below that rose up like worms, immediately swallowing the Fusion Bolt, preventing any damage to occur. However, the cracks in the space would remain, and the wormholes would attempt to ensnare Zekrom.
In response, the Deep Black Pokemon would fly out of the way, dodging the wormhole, and charging a second attack. This time, a thunderous dragon-shaped electricity was summoned, which charged at Grogar. This caused Grogar to quickly summon a bigger, wider and taller wormhole, catching the electricity and dissipating, making the wormhole disappear. Zekrom would move his right arm in a vertical semicircle, creating a black and purple lightning spiral before launching it at the professor.
Grogar would fold the space around him like a piece of paper. Once the lightning approached, it would bend around him and shoot towards the distance, harming nothing.
"Dragon Claw!" Ash roared as Zekrom descended upon Grogar, his claws extending and sharpening. He would reach the old goat at a fast speed. However, to defend himself, the Professor would stretch the space in front of him, causing the Dragon to stop in his tracks and become suspended in midair. Zekrom was confused, not knowing what happened. Suddenly, a wormhole would appear beneath the Legendary and suck him in, spitting him from above and onto the floor. After the impact, the old goat would summon multiple sharp blades in the form of wormholes, that would attempt to cut Zekrom.
But with a powerful roar, Zekrom generated lightning that would destroy the spikes upon contact. "Now! Use Bolt Strike!"
Zekrom got back up, taking flight at great speeds and scending high into the air. Around his body, a large sphere of blue, fire-like electricity formed, covering his body. It would charge at Grogar from above, ready to strike the professor down and finish him off once and for all. Startled, the Professor quickly put up a barrier, using his powers to create a wall of folded dimensional spaces to protect himself. Upon contact, the barrier was strong enough to hold the attack but Grogar, while in the barrier, would bounce around.
"Why you...!" He growled before dispersing his barrier. He turned the energy of his barrier into a weapon, letting every bit of it become projectiles, aiming at the deep black Pokémon, and firing. Unable to dodge, they hit him, bombarding him repeatedly.
"Flash Cannon!"
Zekrom would push back against the projectiles, unleashing a powerful beam of steel from his mouth, hitting the barrage of projectiles and disintegrating them, leaving Grogar exposed. Without any protection, the professor would try and teleport away, but Zekrom was faster. However, in this space, Grogar did have plenty of control.
Right as Zekrom went to grab him, Grogar summoned a wormhole behind him, going through it and appearing from the other side, where another would be waiting to bring him back. This repeated and he would go so fast that there was a multitude of them in the area, confusing Zekrom.
"Too slow." Ash told the Professor, being able to spot. And eventually, so would Zekrom. "Unleash all of your lightning, Zekrom!"
With a grand roar, Zekrom would let every ounce of lightning in his body loose. The entire room was covered in an intense flash of blinding light, and the sound of thunder reverberated throughout the area. The electrical storm would engulf and electrify the Professor, and the moment was his.
Grogar gasped as his defences were blown apart by Zekrom's lightning from every direction, his body was electrocuted and his concentration was broken, allowing his duplicates to fade away, leaving him on his own, vulnerable.
"Don't think you have won yet! I spent years ensuring that I would properly enact vengeance upon you!" Grogar yelled. "Which means I have an array of spells that I planned just to handle you!" To demonstrate, he would mould the space around Zekrom, knowing he had to get the Deep Black Pokemon out of the picture. The very essence of the dimension itself would start wrapping around Zekrom's body.
It would tighten and begin to restrict the Legendary Pokemon's movements, constricting him like a snake coiling its prey. As the bindings grew stronger, the pressure would increase, slowly draining the power from the Dark Dragon. At the same time, the dimensional walls of the space would twist and contort, creating a distorted prison that sought to weaken and subdue the powerful creature. Within the confines of this trap, Grogar would attempt to drain Zekrom's energy, exploiting the vulnerability brought on by his immense attack.
"You think I'd let you try that?" But Ash was already aware of what Grogar was planning. Due to this, he sent another Pokemon to assist Zekrom, manifesting a Poke Ball in his hand. It was a Pokemon that neither of his counterparts had. Instead, Prisma had used his power to bring back one of the Pokemon he once had. "Once more...Appear before me! Palkia!"
Ash threw the ball and in a bright glow, a massive Pokemon appeared, towering above everything in the room. Grogar was in shock at what Ash managed to pull off. Spatial particles would flow out and standing there was Palkia. Prisma's Palkia to be exact.
"I-Impossible! You brought your Palkia back?!" Grogar stepped back in disbelief.
The Soul of Lucas makes that possible. Soon, all of my Pokemon will return to me. All of my Dragons will be by my side once more." Ash said, referring to how Prisma mostly had his Dragons when he was losing his mind. It was also his Dragons that he used to try and destroy everything. "Now, help Zekrom and tear that Goat apart, Palkia!"
Palkia roared and nodded. His red eyes glowed, and the distortions would suddenly stop. Space became normal again and the power that tried to restrain and bind Zekrom would disappear. This freed the Legendary Pokemon up, and with a growl, Zekrom was able to move freely and charged at the Professor. He was going to make sure that Grogar would not have a chance to recover and regain the advantage. Grogar attempted to erect a barrier of dimensional force, a shimmering wall that distorted reality itself, to protect himself from Zekrom's imminent attack. However, Palkia would not allow the professor's defensive measures to succeed.
The panic in Grogar's face was showing. His attempt to overwhelm Ash wasn't going as well as he planned. And yet, he would keep trying. "For what you did to Twilight...! Spacial Rend!"
Palkia raised his arm high, and then swung it down. Suddenly, the air in front of him split open, revealing a gaping hole in space. His own dimension was being taken down by this slash as it approached him. The slash made direct contact with Grogar's body, and he could feel his body being torn in half.
In fact, it looked like Grogar's very being had been split in half.
But being a powerful magic user, even that was a trick. After a few seconds, the two halves of Grogar's body would suddenly turn into miniature bats, flying off as he managed to avoid the full brunt of Spacial Rend. He flew off as all of these individual bats, trying to change up his strategy.
"Bring him down!" Ash ordered as Palkia would greatly increase the gravity of the area. So much so that the bats that were once Grogar would drop to the floor and become one being. Grogar groaned while being held down to the ground, unable to get up. "You're done."
"That is what you think...but do you believe I would be a fool to challenge you knowing how overwhelmingly powerful you are...?!" Grogar groaned, struggling to stand. He had a plan and wasn't just relying on his own powers to take down the trainer.
"And yet, you can't hope to stop me in any way. No amount of defenses you have will stop us." Ash said. He knew that no matter the case, no matter the odds, they would win. There was nothing that could deter the Trainer at this point.
"Hehehe..." Grogar started laughing to himself. It was a low chuckle that soon grew to maniacal laughter. "Hah! You think I need defenses or offensive magic so powerful that it can even stop you?! No...I thought about it...and there's something more that I realized I could use to beat you...And besides...do you think you have the definite will to destroy me?"
"?"
"I can see it in your eyes. After all, Ash Ketchum still has control, doesn't he? In fact, all the counterparts do to some extent. I highly doubt any of them have the guts to destroy me."
"..." Primsa stayed silent for a bit. Because he knew Grogar had a strong point. Despite all of this rage, it was all in response to what happened to Sci-Twi. Ash was still keeping some bit of control in his mind. Grogar knew Ash well, knowing he didn't have that kind of drive.
"Yes...That is the one thing holding you back...You don't have that drive. But another thing I can use on you...is your rage itself!" Grogar's eyes flashed as something would suddenly latch onto Ash's back, bypassing his Aura. It was a black mass that would slowly crawl on his skin and spread on his body.
"GH! GAAGH!" Ash screamed as Zekrom and Palkia turned around instantly. But as soon as they got close, a black force would push them both away. 'What is going on!?' Ash's thoughts rang through the rest of his counterparts. 'WHAT'S GOING ON!?
"Is it not obvious! To defeat you, I knew that I needed something that was as strong as you, if not stronger! And one thing came to mind in my many plans...using your own rage and evil against you!" Grogar proclaimed. The black substance would begin to cover Ash's entire body, wrapping him and his Pokemon in the mass. Soon, a loud roar could be heard, followed by the sound of cracking, like glass breaking in two.
"You...!"
"All that anger you've ever felt, Prisma. Every moment of hatred and fury, has been building up to this! You feel it don't you?! How does it feel to experience all of that which you've unleashed on everyone?!"
"GAAAH!" Ash got on one knee, screaming in agony. He could feel it. All the hate Prisma had. The anger behind it was astonishingly massive, the culmination of Prisma living through all those resets. Trapped and unable to escape. Being forced to watch everything repeat, again and again. His mother, Selene, being imprisoned in a higher dimension, and her eternal suffering. All of his Pokemon, all of his friends, watching them disappear, their memories wiped clean, their happiness, their dreams, their hopes and ambitions, their very existence erased. All because of the Rift, the Star Tyrant and Thyrian.
And because of this, it was attacking him from the inside. It felt like multiple shockwaves were going off in his head, causing intense pain. "GAAAHHHH!!!!" Ash clutched his head, shaking violently.
"Yes...It will be your own evil that defeats you!" Grogar boasted, finally getting back up. And once he was up, he started attack Ash and his Pokemon while they were this vulnerable. Without any hesitation, he started wailing on Ash with his magic tendrils, attacking everywhere. First the gut and then the chest. Then his arm. Over and over again, not letting up. Each strike sent jolts of electricity to rack across his body. As such, his aura was flickering on and off, trying to adapt to what was happening but the assault was too much. Grogar was hitting him in rapid succession. The sheer ferocity of his attacks, the speed, the power. It was unlike anything he's ever faced, and he's faced a lot.
"Gnh...!" And within Delia's Mindscape, Prisma himself felt it. He got on his knees, clutching his arms in pain. Delia, who ended up withstanding all of that Aura, much to Prisma's surprise, ran over to him, helping him stay on his feet. "G-Get away from me...!"
"Are you alright?!" Despite all of that, Delia chose to ignore it, and instead focused on his well-being.
"W-Why are you...?!" Prisma didn't know what to say. He was so sure that his powers would've worked and yet, there was nothing. Not even a single crack on her soul, despite the amount of force and pressure he put into that attack. There should have been some damage, right? "...I-I told you, I'm not your son!" Even now, he was still denying the obvious. Delia's grip tightened on him, and her stare intensified.
Prisma's screams got louder as the rage within him continued to attack him to greater heights. As for Ash, the assault just continued and the boy had no way to fight back. He was being pummelled in a corner by Grogar and his powerful tendrils. He couldn't dodge and couldn't block. He was stuck in place.
"Face it! All that talk, Ash Ketchum, and you still came up short! You think you're in it to win it just like I am?! I want to see Prisma fully gone for what he did! No matter the risk! I am only thinking about winning and nothing more! But the thoughts of your friends aare still in you, which is why I will ultimately succeed!" Grogar taunted, essentially saying that Ash's friendship and the bonds he shared were his biggest weakness.
And to Prisma, he was right.
Prisma didn't care about Ash's friends at all. Not in the slightest. He had no reason to. After all, Prisma had no attachment to them or anyone. All he cared about was bringing an end to everything, and that was that. He had no emotional baggage to worry about. Nothing was holding him down from his goals. But Ash was the complete opposite. Because of his experiences, he couldn't just go out and do whatever he wants without putting his friends in danger. That was the difference between him and his alternate self, but that was also his greatest disadvantage.
But the part that also struck a chord was the fact that Grogar said he couldn't win. That Grogar would win because he has no attachments. And with this beatdown, the immense rage and everything behind it rising.
"Win...?" Ash said while being beaten down by these two forces. "Can't win..." His eyes widened, and suddenly, the young trainer couldn't hear the sounds of the room anymore. Everything went silent, and the whole area slowly became black. It was if time had frozen, and the only person in the dark was Ash himself. He stood, the rage and the power of Grogar's beating stopped in its tracks, and the young man said to himself.
"No. I gotta win...I will win...!" He clenched his hands, wanting to win more than anything right now. If there was ever a time to be victorious, it was now. "That's stupid...I can't lose!" Ash yelled. "I WON'T LOSE!"
Ash raised his arms and roared, unleashing a wave of golden aura that expanded across the battlefield. In the real world, his eyes snapped open, and he let out a primal scream. His body burst into a flaming blue and orange aura, and his power surged to unprecedented levels. This sudden surge of energy not only halted the combined assault of Grogar and the rage in its tracks, but it forced them back. Prisma stumbled, his expression a mix of shock and disbelief. Grogar's tendrils recoiled, as the air seemed to electrify in response to the newfound power emanating from Ash.
The Dark Aura around him now looked more terrifying than ever.
"You think I'll lose?!" More of Prisma's voice came through. "I'll never lose! I'll destroy you, your allies, and everyone in my path!" As the Dark Aura flowed through him, his anger was reaching its peak.
With a thunderous cry, a pillar of energy rose up behind Ash. And from this energy, two Pokemon would emerge from it. The two Dragons opposite to Palkia and Zekrom. From it, Dialga and Reshiram appeared. Both of them had their eyes glowing, which meant they were under the control of their Trainer.
"I'll win! No matter who it is, I'll win!" Ash, no, Prisma declared, pointing to himself. "You won't ever get the chance of victory! Not in a billion lifetimes!"
"T-This can't be...he overpowered his own rage and evil?!" Grogar was in shambles, stepping back and looking up at the four Dragons that hovered next to Prisma. Four Legendary Dragon-Type Pokémon, each of them ready to unleash their attacks on their opponents
"You and your institute will be wiped out and forgotten. Starting with you! Destroy him!" Prisma gave the order and the Dragons would follow. Roar of Time, Spacial Rend, Blue Flare and Bolt Strike, all being used at the same time and aiming for the same target.
Grogar was in absolute fear, terrified beyond belief. One last time, he would try and defend himself, bringing about every dimensional piece he could muster and surround himself in its protection. But it was futile, the attack went right through his defenses and the pieces were destroyed in an instant. And from that destruction, the entire dimension would be broken apart and begin to crumble and tear itself to nothing.
The dimension was absolutely obliterated, bringing them back to the real world. And upon arriving, the outburst of all these attacks going off would ripple across the land, creating a pillar of colours and energy that rose high into the air. Grogar's eyes turned white as his mouth was left wide open.
Afterwards, fell to the ground on his back. His body was lifeless and limp, lying in the rubble of his former dimension.
Arriving at the scene just in time to see it for themselves was none other than Ash and his friends. They came this way, being on the move to try and find Ash and Sci-Twi. And indeed, they found one of them, standing there.
"Ash! There are you!" Luna cried out, rushing to his side. She was so relieved to see him. They all were.
"Ah...Look!" Rainbow Dash looked right at Grogar's body lying there, covered in dimensional rubble. Everyone else would do the same, spotting the aftermath of the scene. "That's Professor Grogar...That means..."
"He won!" Pinkie Pie shouted. "He won! Ash won! He did it! Yay, he did it!" She jumped up and down, excited and filled with joy to know that he had won against the Arcane Institute. All of them were relieved. With Grogar being defeated, that was ultimately the true end of the Arcane Institute. It was finally over. For the most part. There was still Twilight Luminaria, but yes, this one major threat has finally been stoped.
"Didn't doubt you for a second, darling!" Rarity exclaimed with glee.
"Mhm! Not at all!" Roseluck and all of Ponyville's residents agreed.
"Yay, Ash! You did it!"
"Good job, Ash!"
"Yeah, that's the spirit!"
"Alright, way to go!"
All of them celebrated his victory, always knowing their friend would pull through against the ones who targeted him. But as they were all jumping for joy, elated and beyond estatic to see this victory, Ash, who had his back turned to them this whole time, would just stand with his Dark Aura still showing. Luna's smile faded once she noticed the Dark Aura becoming clearer once the smoke faded away. "...Ash?"
"...I won." Ash said as everyone would listen to his suddenly chilling voice. "I only thought about winning...and I won."
This would confuse and worry all of them, wondering what he could possibly mean by that. And once the Dark Aura became clearer to them, their expressions changed as Ash's hair started flowing. "I obviously won!" Ash raised his voice before turning his head, looking at all of them. They all saw his blazing red eyes suddenly appear, followed by the most maniacal smile they've ever seen him make. His voice took a more distorted tone, and his posture was different, almost animalistic.
"And I'm going to keep winning...UNTIL EVERYTHING IS DESTROYED!" And that's when it happened. The greatest outburst and eruption of darkness came from Ash. An explosion of dark aura that was bigger and stronger than the previous one. His laughter would ring in their heads, as they were sent flying, covering their faces and shutting their eyes to avoid the worst of the blast. The entire area was covered in a mass of pure blackness, covering the the mountains, the forests and the rivers. Everything was engulfed in a massive sea of nothing but blackness. All that could be heard in that moment was the laughing from Ash himself.
The darkness would ascend into the air, flying higher and higher at light speeds, passing through any cloud in its way before finally reaching outer space. Once there, the darkness would expand to an even greater size, revealing the laughing face of Ash within, the same glowing red eyes from earlier. It was a gigantic, monstrous and nightmarish visage of the boy, staring down at the world below him.
Everyone, no matter where would see that visage laughing and frantically pulsating. Everyone on the planet would look and witness that terrifying sight. Humans, Pokemon and Ponies alike were shocked and horrified at the face of their precious hero. And over at Unilight's city, Victor, who was the one Counterpart not within Ash's body, would start screaming as he could already feel his soul beginning to shake.
This was his soul forcing itself to return to its original self. He'd fall on his knees, grabbing at his chest, the place where his heart should've been. Twilight Luminaria watched as Victor's body vanished, dispersing into bodies of energy, signalling one thing. One terrifying thing.
Prisma was returning.
As Ash continued to laugh going through this restoration process, the whole planet would shake and rumble, causing a series of violent earthquakes across its surface. Many buildings were destroyed, while the people panicked and ran to safety. Meanwhile in the skies, the clouds began to move rapidly and violently, forming a vortex of wind and rain that was quickly growing larger and more destructive. Lightning flashed and thunder boomed, adding to the chaos. Mountains crumbled and fell, creating landslides and avalanches. Forest fires erupted in multiple areas, burning down everything in their way and leaving behind only ashes and smoke. Oceans rose up from their beds, threatening to flood coastal regions anyone unfortunate enough to get caught by the waves. All of these events were happening simultaneously, causing untold destruction and devastation on a global scale. And at the center of it all, the laughing image of Ash remained, his glowing red eyes watching as the world burned beneath him.
Afterwards, all the trembling would come to an end, the massive visage of Ash fading away. But that didn't meant it was the end of it all. At the spot where it all happened, Luna and everyone re-opened their eyes, seeing that something had sprouted during all this chaos. A tall mountain had appeared.
And on top of that mountain was the man himself.
"No way,...Is that...?" Fluttershy shuddered with fear.
"I'm afraid it is." Luna grit her teeth while looking at the man who stood there.
"Prisma."

As the journey continues.
