The Nightmare Begins in Ponyville
Prologue: His Name was Jason
The white sedan with a New Jersey license plate pulled up in front of the camping grounds. A sign above read “Camp Crystal Lake”. A young boy stepped out of the car with a white t-shirt and jean shorts. He was carrying a book-bag.
“Mom, what if the other kids make fun of me?” the child asked his mother.
“Oh don’t be silly, Jason” she reassured him. “You’ll fit right in”.
She smiled at her son and drove away through the dense woodlands. When her vehicle was out of sight, the boy trudged towards the campgrounds. A couple of children were playing volleyball when they noticed their new campmate. A couple snickered. Others looked away in fright. One of the counselors rushed into a nearby cabin suddenly feeling nauseous. Jason looked up as the bright sunlight shone into his eyes. He lifted his hand and waved.
“Hi,” he said nervously, “I’m Jason...”
Before he could finish his introduction, the other kids began pointing fingers and laughing hysterically at the poor child. Jason wanted to cry, but the tears never fell. He ran towards his designated cabin, head buried into his hands. The other kids chased him, still laughing and pointing. They ventured closer to Jason and began shoving him, at first playfully then it became more violent. The bullying caused Jason to change paths and began running towards one of the docks near the lake. Eventually, they reached the end. Jason, head still in his hands, didn’t even notice the dock disappearing from underneath him.
The cold, drenching waters surrounded young Jason Voorhees like a pig in a blanket. The fresh liquid filled itself in his lungs, rapidly replacing the air already packed within. Jason tried to fight the current, but it proved to be futile. Jason never learned to swim. He could feel his life ending before him…

The masked being awakened with a fright, the drowning nightmare a distant memory once again. He was lying in a wooded area of some kind. However, it wasn’t the familiar woods of Crystal Lake that welcomed him when he awoke. He ran his hand over his head and rubbed his temples which had been throbbing a lot lately. He remembered nothing of the previous night. The bulking behemoth of a man known as Jason Voorhees stood up and picked up his trademark machete.
Wherever he was, he intended to kill every person that lived there…
