Chapter 1: The Ace

“Can someone come help me push mid?” one of my teammates says.

It was a sunny day here in the Philippines as I sit in my room playing my favorite game valorant. We were on breeze a map which I hate a lot due to my poor aiming skills but they weren't too bad either. It was 12 to 12 in an unrated game one more win to victory. We were on attackers and the enemy team was the defenders currently I was pushing mid along with another player. We were trying to make a fake B push so that A site would be secured.

“Sova get ready.” He said again as he peeks through the boxes we were hiding. Mid was clear much to his surprise.

I was currently playing Phoenix the one commanding us and carrying the spike(aka the bomb) was playing Jett and the player next to me was playing Omen preparing to smoke on command.

“Sova fire your recon dart now omen smoke B tunnel.” He says as on command I see from the distance a dart shoot from the sky and land into b site. A perfect lineup revealing an unlucky sage that was hiding near the entrance of b main. Omen then proceeds to smoke B tunnel as we slowly got out of our hiding place heading towards the wooden doors that lead to the A site.

“You think they took the bait?” Sova says over the mic.

Just then we heard footsteps coming from the top of mid wooden doors then we heard the metal door open from A switch.

“Looks like they just did.” Jett says with a bit of joy in his voice.

We proceed to release our knives because everyone knows you can run faster with a knife even when you are walking. We then pushed our backs against the door as I looked over mid again. Omens smoke was still covering b tunnel but now there was an enemy brimstone in mid nest watching B elbow with his Op he then proceeds to scan the entire mid area and I manage to hide before he could spot me.

“Sage is A site clear?” Jett speaks again breaking the intense silence.

Sage was in A shop and was about to peek at the entrance of A site. Unfortunately, no enemies were on A site aside from the metal door on A switch which was still wide open.

“A is clear.” Sage says on the mic giving us the green light.

“Got it,Sova get your ass over here.” Jett says as he and Omen were rushing to the door.

I peeked one last time to find omen’s smoke gone and brim was hiding behind the boxes on mid top facing his Op towards the tunnel. It won't be long until they realize what we were up to. To my horror, I suddenly heard two shotgun shots coming from the wooden doors.

“Sage what the hell?! You said it was clear!” Jett shouted into the mic.

I turned my head to find Jett and omen dead on the floor with the spike dropped. Apparently sage checked all of A site except the wooden doors. The enemy had his back against the wall just enough to not be noticed by sage.

It was a 3v5 now.

Realizing our cover had been blown I had to act fast. I then ran out of my hiding place and proceeded to fire my gun at brimstone, luck must have been on my side today because before brimstone could even act he was immediately taken out by a bullet to the head.

Sage quickly ran to the wooden doors and proceeded to rain hell upon the enemy Yoru who was hiding on the closed side of the wooden door. Sadly sage was able to hit him a lot but ran out of bullets before she could kill him. The enemy Yoru took this advantage to take the vandal from the dead Jett while sage was reloading.

“Shit! Yoru is Lit!” Sage shouted as she tried to run away from Yoru.

I quickly turned my head towards the door and immediately spotted Yoru grabbing the gun from Jett's corpse I then proceed to fire burst shots at Yoru finishing him off.

3v3 now.

I was still out in the open until I was getting fired from both the enemy sage who had a bulldog with her and an enemy killjoy who had a phantom. panicking, I quickly set my camera face down and used my curveball ability to blind both sage and killjoy. luckily I haven't blinded myself but the two enemies still fired at me and even managed to hit me twice leaving me with 80 of my health if not thanks to my heavy armor.

Sova was still rotating to A site in fact in the corner of my eye I saw him at our spawn point with his knife out running towards A lobby before focusing my view on the wooden door.

I quickly grabbed the spike and entered A site sprinting. Sage then used a barrier orb blocking any enemies from entering through the wooden doors. As I begin planting the spike Sova finally arrives.

“Sorry I'm late,” he says in a joking manner.

“Focus Sova and help me out here!” Sage says pointing her rifle at A bridge.

As sova pushes forward further into A site the spike had finally been planted on A pyramid now we just needed to hold out for the remainder of the time left. Me and sage were hiding on A pyramid while Sova was hiding next to a big yellow crate just ahead of us.

“Just play it slow guys,” I finally spoke up. “It's a 3v3 we got this.” as if in queue we all heard the familiar “YOU WILL NOT KILL MY ALLIES!” from the enemy sage as she revives the enemy brimstone I had killed.

“Putang ina.” I said to myself as we now had to deal with a sniper as well. first, the metal door from A switch was still open meaning that we have to guard two entrances at once and now we have to deal with their top fragger.

“Sova close the metal door!” Sage shouted.

Sova then approached A switch and quickly shut the metal door before returning to his hiding spot. As he did bullets started to rain on A bridge signaling the enemy's arrival. Sova's recon dart had finally finished its cooldown and he 1 bounced it to hit the wall next to the bridge. The enemies took notice of this and quickly shot the dart but not before It could scan them. There were 3 enemies on the bridge with 1 being unknown. The enemy brimstone was now putting smoke on top of the crate where Sova was and one covering sage’s vision of the bridge.

I was backing Sova up in case he were to get traded or surrounded by the enemy. Just then a stim beacon was thrown out of the smoke and both Killjoy and Sage popped out of the smoke. Sova fired his gun at the enemy sage which she responds with a burst shot into Sova’s head killing him instantly. Killjoy quickly rushes in my direction throwing a swarm grenade at me just before she triggered her grenade I got out of the way and sprayed my gun killing her. Both of the Sage’s were fighting each other but hiding behind the same pyramid pillar I turned to face the enemy sage and she suffered the same fate but not before firing back at me leaving me with 45 health left. But that didn't bother me because Phoenix just by the name can heal himself by his own flames. I then use hot hand to create a fireball and tossed it to the ground to heal myself.

2 v 2 now.

Time was running as the spike started to tick faster which was good for us but not for them we just had to hold out a little longer. Just then as I turn around to reload I spotted a yellow light on the wall next to the entrance of A site. Then I knew who it was. I turned my camera away from the yellow light as it exploded, fortunately blinding sage as my vision returned the enemy breach quickly got out and started attacking sage she was getting rained by bullets but luckily I managed to save her by putting two bullets into the breaches head with my ghost.

2 v 1 we had a chance.

But that didn't last long as sage was now out of her hiding spot giving brimstone a kill of his own. The bomb was still ticking and brim had to act fast I just didn't have to mess up. The enemy Brimstone quickly ran out of A bridge and grabbed a phantom from the dead Killjoy and sprayed towards my direction which only made me smile as I knew it was already over.

The bomb was already ticking like crazy as it was about to explode and the enemy brimstone seemed like he didn't want me to have this ace. but he made his move and it was already too late for him. As I turn out of my hiding spot and sprayed the remaining bullets.at him. with the familiar ace ring from the game and the cheers from my teammates it was over. “ATTACKERS WIN” the announcer shouted.

“LEETS GOOOOO!” Sova shouted into the microphone.

“SHEEEEEEESH!” Omen begins.

“Your better, holy shit your better.” Jett started still shocked at what happened.

“Gg’s Everyone! well played phoenix!” Sage finally said with a cheery tone in her voice.

And just like that everything went silent. I was back at the main menu but a smile was still on my face. This…. This is why I love this game. The rush of excitement coming from your body, The callouts and commands, and the hype that is given by your teammates. It all felt amazing sure it also applies to every other fps game but for valorant it's something else I guess it's just how I loved the characters so much and their roles in the world of valorant not to mention that they even have unique voice lines on different situations. when we are losing they encourage us to keep fighting and focus when we are winning they taunt the enemy team saying how bad they are giving us even more courage to win it's just wow. I hope this game never dies and it won't be anytime soon as it was relatively new.

I finally got up from my chair and turned off my pc to give it some rest after spending nearly 2 hours playing the game and headed toward the bathroom. I checked the clock hanging from my wall It was 8:00 in the morning the day had just begun.

Somewhere in the Everfree forest:

A mysterious shadowed mist wanders around the Everfree forest carrying what appears to be an old summoning book. The mist itself was dark but with red eyes coming out of it, it traveled around the forest for a while until it reached a clearing. Satisfied the entity drops the book onto the grass then suddenly the mist surrounding the entity faded leaving a man figure standing with the darkness of mist still covering him.

“Finally I have found it after all these years,” It said with a deep tone in its voice. “ Equestria will pay for what they had done to me! Especially you Celestia.” He said the last part with a low growl. He then began to open the book as he focuses his powers onto his hand releasing a dark aura. “Book of old bring forth the race that was lost long ago and give him the powers of the things he loved the most.” The dark aura from his hand started to grow bigger and the book slowly levitating from the ground “HUMAN I SUMMON YOU!” He shouted closing his eyes and releasing all of his power into the book which exploded with a loud bang that is sure to be heard by anyone or in this case anypony around the vicinity.

Smoke was covering both the entity and the book. He slowly approaches too where the book once was only to find the remains of it. The pages were all burnt and shredded into pieces. he proceeded to push even further into the smoke past the burnt book. As the smoke finally clears off he could see something large on the ground and began to walk toward it. He thought that he had summoned a powerful warrior or some shadowed demon like himself but to his disappointment, it was just a regular human unconscious on the grass. He sighed in defeat trying to figure out what went wrong when he cast that spell.

Just then the human finally woke up pushing his face off the grass and was now laying on his back only then he realized the figure standing before him with his hand on his face. He quickly stood up and pushed himself away from the tall figure because of the poor lighting he couldn't see him well only stopping when he hit his head against a tree.That was when the figure finally took notice and looked directly at the panicking human with his red menacing eyes.

Who are you?! He shouted at the figure.
