Chapter 1
   Hi, my name is Twist, and today was one of your average Ponyville days; the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and all that kind of stuff. Well, it was. I swear.
   I know you don't expect an alicorn like me to actually care about days like this, but I do. But, then again, the only real time of day I like is night. During that time, I feel like...well...that I belong.
   I always sit alone on a hill, looking up at the stars. I love the stars, and the moon. They make me feel welcome. The sun...well, let's just say that I don't feel very comfortable with it around.
   You see, my parents are earth ponies, believe it or not. They've cared for me ever since I was born. They never keep secrets from me, so I definitely know that they are my parents, whether anyone likes it or not.
   Let's just get on with the story. Just remember, if you're an alicorn with earth pony parents, you aren't alone. Ever. Not even if you're sitting lonely on a hill looking at the stars.
   I was walking down the streets of Ponyville, getting ready for another day of work at Kinky's Cakes. You see, I got my cookie cutie mark by baking here, and everypony says that I'm great at making them. Honestly, I agree with them, but I'm not at all trying to brag.
   Anyway, I walked into Kinky's cakes, a white mare with a lightish blue mane behind the sweets counter. She looked up at me, smiling. "Hiya, Twist!" said the pony, cheerfully. "Are you making any cookies today?"
  "Yep, and I sure do hope their good." I said, the routine seeming just like any other day, and I knew exactly what Kinky was going to say next
