A portal opens as the dragon digimon along with the cheetah and pup get launched out and face plant right next to a duo of duos.

“What the…” Rocky asked as he looked up and saw four blurs, one sky blue and rainbow, one orange and brown, one a darker blue and tan, and the last purple and orange.

“Dude, that looked painful.” The orange and brown blur said as the fix-it pup’s vision cleared.

“No way, Zuma!?” Rocky shouted in joy as the two rescue dogs hugged each other.

“Ugh, what’s going on?” Fuli asked as the pegasus picked her up.

“Trust me, it’s a long story.” The pegasus said as she helped the feline up. “Names Rainbow Dash by the way, and it seems like one of you already knows Zuma.” She said before the purple and orange dragon helped Shoutmon before the digimon realized something.

“Wait a sec, where’s that Book of Skylanders?” Shoutmon asked, with the cheetah simply face-pawed.

“We lost it in the weird portal nexus, remember?” Fuli reminded as the Skylands dragon spoke up.

“Wait! The Book of Skylanders… what… how… how do you know about it?” Spyro asked in utter shock before the red reptilian digimon got up.

“Rocky here stole it from this creep named Kaos… said something about looking for some guy named Spyro.” Shoutmon explained as the purple dragon gave a confident look.

“Well look no further, that guy named Spyro is your’s truly.” The Skylands dragon said with boundless confidence before turning to his new friend. “And the awesome blue dude is Sonic.” He added while wrapping an arm around the hedgehog’s shoulder.

“Um, what was that about AWESOME blue dude?” RD asked with skepticism.

“Well if I was referring to you I’d say ‘awesome blue DUDETTE’ instead.” The winged dragon clarified before the pegasus folded her hooves and flew backwards while glaring at him.

“I’m Shoutmon, the cheetah is Fuli, and it looks like Zuma already knows Rocky.” The digital dragon explained as the cheetah walked over to the water rescue pup.

“So when did you four end up here?” Fuli asked which the pup gladly answered.

“Me and Dash wound up here a couple minutes after you did but Sonic and Spyro were already here.” Zuma explained as the hedgehog spoke up.

“This is actually my homeworld, me and Spyro have been trying to find a way to get him back to Skylands.” Sonic explained as the mixed breed spoke.

“Well, it’s good to finally meet you, Spyro.” Rocky asked as the purple dragon nodded. “As Shoutmon said, I stole that from this little wizard jerk but didn’t know what to do with it.” He explained with his claw arm pointing at the book in the dragon’s claws.

“Easy, all we have to do is…” The skylands dragon said before a loud explosion cut him off with Sonic looking over the hill.

“Let’s save that talk for when we find a portal to Skylands, it looks like things are getting dicey over there.” The blue hedgehog started before seeing a red echidna smashing through it. “Or it would be if Knuckles hadn't decided to hog all the fun.” He scoffed in a joking manner with the labrador looking at the wrecked robots.

“Hey, I know that guy! I ran into him while looking for Rocky and the others.” Zuma explained as they all went to check out the damage.

Over in the Pride Lands the new Lion Guard leader was looking over the horizon on a nearby lake. With the cockapoo and honey badger close behind.

“Wow! Me! Leader of the Lion Guard, protectors of the Pride Lands!” Kion said with joy before looking into his reflection in the water. “It’s kinda scary…” He said to himself before the badger ran over.

“Hey, Kion… Kion!” Bunga shouted before jumping into the shallow water and splashing the lion cub. “Ready to start assembling the Lion Guard? Huh? Now? Yeah? Huh?” He asked with excitement while repeatedly splashing the cub.

“Yes! Augh! Just stop splashing me!” Kion replied with Skye making sure that the badger stopped before approaching.

“Splashing?” The badger wondered before noticing the water he was standing in. “Oh… sorry Kion.” He apologized with the lion just smirking.

“Hakuna matata, Bunga. Now c’mon!” Kion replied before the three of them raced off in search of the new guard members.

“So who do we start with?” Skye asked with the cub walking alongside her and the honey badger.

“Well, Dad said the Lion Guard consists of the Pride Lands’ bravest, strongest, fastest, and keenest of sight. So I think I’ll ask the bravest animal in the Pride Lands first.” The lion cub explained before his best friend raced ahead to talk face to face with him.

“Kion, wait!” Bunga said as he stopped the cub from walking further. “Before you go asking whoever you think is the bravest, think about this.” He then began to basically explain why he should be allowed to help the Guard. “I might not be the biggest honey badger. But I know what's in my heart.” He explained with the cockapoo speaking up.

“What are you getting at, Bunga?” Skye asked with a small grin knowing exactly what was on his mind.

“I’m saying I’m not afraid of anything, or anyone!” The young badger exclaimed with a serious and slightly desperate tone.

“I know, Bunga.” Kion replied with a smirk. “That’s why I…” He tried to explain before being cut off by the badger again.

“And I’ll help the Lion Guard fight hyenas! Or jackals, or crocodiles, or vultures!” Bunga exclaimed as a vulture spying on the trio nearby took shock to that last claim. “I will stand with the Lion Guard! I’ll never give up! I’ll… I’ll…” He tried to continue before the aviator pup cut him off by putting a paw over his mouth.

“Kion, I’m pretty sure you were trying to tell Bunga something.” Skye said as the cub chuckled a bit.

“Well I just needed him to stop talking so I could ask him to join the Lion Guard.” Kion said with a grin as his best friend suddenly looked flabbergasted.

“Say wha?” Bunga asked in confusion.

“Come on Bunga, you're the bravest animal I know! I want you to be the first to join the new Lion Guard.” The leader of the new Guard confirmed with a confident smile.

“Zuma zama!” Bunga exclaimed with joy as the cockapoo giggled at his enthusiasm.

In the distance and out of earshot the vulture looking at the trio took interest in the situation. “Zuka zama, indeed. I wonder if Janja knows about the Lion Guard.” He said before flying off towards the Outlands as the badger hugged the lion.

“You couldn’t have made a better choice. We are gonna make a great team!” Bunga said as he let go of his friend. “I can’t wait to tell Uncle Timon and Uncle Pumbaa.” He explained before the trio heard someone crying out in pain off in the distance.

“Woah… who or what was that?” Skye asked as she walked towards where the scream came from.

“Little help?” The female voice asked in the distance which the lion cub easily recognized.

“Sounds like Kiara’s friend Zuri.” Kion answered in a deadpan tone.

“And she needs help. Our help!” Bunga said, realizing what this meant. “It’s our first adventure! Lion Guard to the rescue!” He said with enthusiasm before running off to help.

“Wait, Bunga…” Skye tried to stop the first new addition to the Lion Guard who was still running off to try and help.

“No time to chat, Skye. I’m on official Lion Guard rescue business!” The honey badger announced, continuing his charge towards Zuri’s cry.

“But I know how to rescue people, and charging in without knowing what the problem is will only cause more problems!” The cockapoo pilot shouted as she flew after him.

“Guys, wait up!” Kion shouted as he chased the other two towards the sound of Zuri’s screams.

Back on Mobius Sonic, Shoutmon, and the others made it to the town where the red echidna, Knuckles, was finishing off a badnik.

“Yo Knux! Save any for us?” The blue hedgehog asked with the echidna smiling at the arrival.

“Sonic! Long time no see!” Knuckles replied before noticing the chocolate lab. “And the portal jumper, short time no see!” He said towards Zuma which confused the others.

“Sup dude! I see you made short work of these bots.” The water rescue pup said as the red brawler jumped down and nodded.

“So, what brings all of you out here?” The echidna asked with the whole group thinking of how to summarize they’re recent escapades.

“Well the three of us were sent here at random in those portals.” Fuli explained while pointing to Shoutmon and Rocky.

“The two of us were checking out a portal by my hometown.” RD said while Zuma nodded.

“And me and Spyro here ran into Amy the next town over. She said you were looking into trouble here, we’d thought we’d lend a hand while looking for a way to get him home.” Sonic explained before releasing something. “You know, you’re awfully far away from the HQ, Commander Knuckles.” The hedgehog said mockingly as his red friend brushed some dust off his gloves.

“Ugh… don’t remind me.” The echidna groaned with frustration. “It was more fun when we were fighting to save the world. Now that we’re focusing on rebuilding, it’s all scheduling and inventory and… peh!” He explained as the pegasus giggled in response.

“Guess you don’t have the patience for it. I know I wouldn’t.” RD said with a chuckle that the echidna joined in on.

“No I don’t. I’m ready to get back to my home on Angel Island and go on a good old-fashioned treasure hunt.” Knuckles replied with a grin before the purple dragon spoke up.

“I hear ya. Amy tried getting me to join and Sonic to enlist full time.” Spyro explained which made the commander smirk.

“Ha! Him? She should’ve known better.” Knuckles chuckled at the thought.

As the group got to the door the digital dragon knocked on it a few times to see how thick it was. The sound of plain rock was heard, leading him to try and find the crack where it opens to try and start to pry the doors apart.

“So, what’s the deal here?” Fuli asked as Shoutmon tried to find a way to open the massive doors.

“This town is a hub for distributing weapons called wispons that the resistance used. The shipments suddenly dried up, so I came to see why.” The echidna commander explained with the digital dragon failing to open the doors.

“Okay, the doors are super heavy and/or locked so we’re not getting in through there.” The digimon said with the echidna smirking.

“Don’t worry, I’ve got this.” Knuckles replied with a calm tone before looking up and seeing someone in the watchtower. “Hey! I’m the commander of the resistance! I took out all of Eggman’s robots! Let me in!” He shouted sternly at the person up in the tower, a brown dog with a few dark brown spots.

“S-sorry sir, but I’m under orders not to open the gates to anyone!” The dog replied in a worried tone which just irritated the echidna, cheetah, pegasus, and digimon.

“Says who?!” Fuli asked in frustration as the villager just worriedly darted his eyes.

“I-I-I can’t say!” The dog stuttered as the group of heroes just looked at each other and then began to scale the wall.

Sonic and Fuli used they’re speed to race up the side, Knuckles used his namesakes and Rocky used his pup pack’s drill and screwdriver attachments to climb the wall, Zuma used his pup pack’s buoy attachment to hook something at the top of the wall and began to propel up it, Shoutmon went to a corner where the wall met the watchtower and quickly used parkour to ascend, and most obvious of all, Spyro and Rainbow Dash just flew over it.

On the other side of the wall villagers started to panic. All of them quickly duck into they’re homes, one even trying to get in through the window.

“Okay, something is definitely wrong here.” RD stated as the dog mobian climbed down from the tower.

“The badnik attacks have been getting more aggressive lately. Maybe that’s what’s got them spooked?” Knuckles pointed out before the dragon landed nearby the group.

“I didn’t see any when I scanned the village.” Spyro explained as he turned to face the villagers as well. “I think something else is going on.” He explained as the dog from the tower climbed down and faced the group frantically.

“You shouldn’t have done that! You shouldn’t be here!” The mobian dog said in a worried whisper.

“Why? Whatever’s wrong I’m sure we can handle it.” Fuli replied as the bipedal canine just seemed more anxious.

“No, you can’t! They took all the wisps and wispons! Without the wispons or a way to power them, we don’t stand a chance! They’re unstoppable now!” He said worriedly with the group of heroes just seeming more confused if anything.

“Um… ‘They’ who?” Rocky asked in confusion before the hedgehog spoke.

“Listen, buddy. You just watched my friend here solo a super badnik.” Sonic explained as the red dragon summoned his microphone.

“He’s right, we can handle ourselves. So once again, what’s up?” Shoutmon added with a confident yet serious look, the dog mobian just taking a breath.

“True enough.” The canine replied after a quick breath. “Just before the war ended, a couple of mercenaries showed up. They were ferocious. They drove back all of Eggman’s forces and saved the town. They said they were going to improve our defenses.” He explained before the cheetah caught on to the situation.

“These ‘heroes’ let their new status get to their heads?” Fuli said with a snarky tone before the dog continued.

“Yeah… What they really did was take our arsenal and took us prisoner within our own town!” The young watchdog explained in an upset tone. “Now we have to do everything they say. We have no way to fight back. And we can’t escape with all the robots stalking outside the wall!” He finished with the heroes knowing exactly what to do.

“Sounds like these guardians turned tyrants need to be knocked down a peg. Eh, guys?” The pegasus girl asked with the echidna nodding.

“Oh, definitely!”

“Without a doubt!”

“Absolutely!”

Spyro, Shoutmon, and Knuckles said respectively as they started to walked deeper into town.

“Where can we find these guys?” The chocolate lab pup asked with the mobian dog pointing ahead of them.

“Th…They turned the supply depot into a fortress. Just down this road to the right, you can’t miss it.” The citizen explained with the water rescue pup nodding.

“Cool. Hang back here dude, we’ll get this taken care of.” Zuma explained with a grin as both Sonic and Shoutmon turned to give the kid a thumbs up as the group headed for the fortress.

Back in the Pride Lands a trio of young lionesses cubs are seen. One tan with brown eyes, the second a lighter shade of tan with green eyes and a tufted of fur on her head, and the third a more peach color with blue eyes… and her claws stuck on a fallen tree.

“Hold still, Zuri. Timon and Pumbaa said they know how to help.” The lighter colored lion cub said to the one stuck on the tree.

“Where am I gonna go Tifu? I’m stuck…” Zuri whined as the first of the three lion cubs rolled her eyes and sighed.

“You wouldn’t be stuck if you didn’t keep stopping to sharpen your claws on every other tree.” She explained as the peach colored cub looked to her.

“But Kiara, if I don’t keep them sharp, they don’t stay shiny!” Zuri explained with some pride while releasing the shiny claws on her free foreleg and glancing at them.

“Don’t worry, ladies. Me and Pumbaa have everything under control.” A meerkat riding a warthog with a branch in his mouth walked onto the log to check how stuck Zuri was.

“Timon’s right. We used to help Simba get his claws out of logs all the time.” Pumbaa the warthog explained as Timon placed the stick under Zuri’s stuck paw.

“And you’re sure about this?” Kiara asked with a slightly worried tone which the meerkat showed none at all.

“Sure, I’m sure. If it weren’t for us, your dad would still be stuck in a tree somewhere.” Timon explained with a hint of confidence before turning to his best friend. “Ready Pumbaa?” He asked as the warthog grabbed the other end of the branch with his mouth ready to pry the peach colored cub free.

“Ready!” Pumbaa replied, which led the meerkat to grin.

“Okay, on three. One…” Timon stated as Zuri braced herself for the action. “Two…” He continued before a new voice cut him off and made Pumbaa drop the branch.

“Stand back, Pride Landers! Bunga of the Lion Guard is here!” The honey badger said with a bow after swinging onto the log via a vine.

“Bunga!” The warthog shouted in surprise to see the young badger, accidentally bumping into Zuri and causing the young lioness to chip a claw.

“Ow! My Claw!” The peach colored lion cub screamed in pain before she slipped and fell off of the large fallen tree and into a smaller log that was far more breakable. “Ah! Creepy crawly bugs!” She shouted in fear and disgust before pulling herself out of the log with bugs crawling all around.

“Zuri! You’ve hit the jackpot!” Timon said with joy as he and Pumbaa jumped into the log.

“It’s a smorgasbord!” The warthog added before jumping in himself and gorging himself on bugs. Then the honey badger looked down at the lioness cub with the hurt claw with an air of confidence.

“Hang on, Zuri! I’ll save you!” Bunga declared as the royal lioness cub walked over to him.

“Okay, Bunga.” Kiara said as she tried to inform the badger to take it back a notch. “You’ve done enough saving for one day.” She explained before hopping down to her injured friend as the male lion cub and female pup ran over to them.

“Bunga, we…” Kion started before he and Skye saw the situation.

“Woah. What happened?” The cockapoo pilot asked they both went down to check on the young cub who got hurt.

“Oh! I broke a claw!” Zuri whined in agony. “And it hurts!” She said as her bff rubbed cheek.

“There, there, Zuri. You're gonna be just fine.” Tiffu said comforting her friend as Kion walked over to his sister.

“Hey, Kiara. How’d the gazelle tracking go?” The lion asked as his older sibling sighed.

“We never got to the gazelles.” Kiara explained before turning her head to the other two young lion girls. “Zuri got her claws stuck in a tree.” She said as the meerkat and warthog were heard laughing inside the hollow log.

“And then she fell face first into a log full of bugs!” Pumbaa joyfully said while still chewing some insects and grubs. The four lion cubs and Skye all cringing at the whole bug eating thing.

“Bugs are so gross!” Zuri complained as the meerkat just brushed it off as his joy over eating wasn’t going to sway his mood to anything else.

“And so delicious.” Timon explained with bliss at the taste before noticing something. “Ooh, look!” He said as he climbed on Tiffu’s back and pulled a bug out from behind Zuri’s ear. “Another one.” He casually said with the injured cub freaking out.

“Ah! Get it, get it away!” Zuri screamed before putting both paws on the ground and flinching due to the one with the chipped claw. “Ow, my paw!” She cried after sitting back down, the meerkat with a semi-worried look just ate the bug with a grin before bunga walked to the group.

“Hey everyone. Everyone! Listen to this!” Bunga stated as he walked in between Kion and Skye. “Simba just put Kion in charge of the new Lion Guard!” The badger said with enthusiasm to which the ones who weren’t in the loop gave confused looks.

“Lion Guard? What’s a Lion Guard?” Kiara asked while walking up to her younger brother.

“Dad just told me about it.” Kion replied with a grin. “The Lion Guard is the team that protects the Pride Lands and defends the Circle of Life! And I’m its new leader!” He explained with a small bit of confidence in his tone.

“I’m gonna be on the Lion Guard, too! It’s un-Bunga-lievable!” The honey badger added with great excitement as he jumped in front of the other two lioness cubs with a flip.

“You and Bunga? Protecting the Pride Lands?” Kiara replied with a chuckle. “Does Dad know about this?” She asked as Kion simply smirked.

“Dad told me to assemble the Pride Lands’ best.” The red maned lion cub said with a smirk before the badger butted in.

“And I’m the best. Just ask me.” Bunga said smugly before the cockapoo stepped into the conversation.

“While I can’t confirm what Bunga just said, I do know that your dad did tell Kion to assemble the new Guard.” Skye said as the peachish lion cub just looked at her disapprovingly.

“And who in the Pride Lands are you?” Zuri asked in a snooty tone while the pup just smiled.

“I’m Skye, the helicopter rescue pup of the Paw Patrol.” Skye said with a grin before being shocked by the two friends of Kiara just laughing.

“A little critter like you? Rescue creatures?” Zuri said before stepping on her injured paw while laughing. “Ouch…” She said before continuing to laugh.

“What even is a helicopter? It sounds ridiculous!” Tiffu added as the male lion cub just walked up to them.

“So, I get that it sounds weird but with all that’s happened today I believe her.” Kion snapped as the pup just slowly backed away only to back into the honey badger.

“Yeah, she can use that thing on her back to fly! We’ve seen it! And so has Fuli… wherever she is…” Bunga added as the red headed cub’s sister spoke up.

“Realy?” Kiara asked with a light smile, intrigued by the idea with her injured friend just scoffing.

“Please, a flying dog? That’s the farthest thing I can think of from possi…” Zuri started before she and Tifu gave jaw dropped looks upon seeing the pup take flight with her wing pack,“ible…” The cub finished while utterly speechless at the sight.

“See, when I’m right about stuff like Skye and the Guard, I’m right about stuff like Skye and the Guard if you ask me.” Bunga said with a smirk as his warthog uncle walked over.

“Well if you ask me, this Lion Guard thing sounds like it might be dangerous.” Pumbaa replied before the meerkat spoke up.

“It’s worse than that, Pumbaa.” Timon stated while sporting a worried look on his face. “It sounds like work.” He added with a shaky tone.

“Yeah! It's both!” Bunga replied with a grin, much to the dismay of his uncles.

“Eek… Work!” Timon whined as the warthog seemed less distraught but still unsure of the situation.

“Gee, Bunga. I dunno…” Pumbaa said as his adopted honey badger kid looked really worried.

“Uncle Pumbaa, Uncle Timon, please?” Bunga pleaded to his adoptive parents wanting to be on the guard extremely bad.

“Work? Danger? Definitely not.” The meerkat stated firmly. “Have you forgotten our problem-free philosophy?” He asked while putting an arm around Pumbaa’s shoulder. “It means no worries…” He started before the badger quickly interrupted.

“I know it’s not hakuna matata, Uncle Timon.” Bunga replied with only one thing to say about it. “It’s, it’s… zuka zama!” He explained with a grin that confused the females present.

“Zuka zama?” Kiara asked before the meerkat ran in front of the badger to face the lion cubs and pup.

“Don’t ask.” Was all Timon said before the aviator pup spoke.

“Sorry but, I have no idea what Zuma… I mean zukazama even is.” Skye simply explained which led to a very enthusiastic badger snapping to attention.

“What’s zuka zama?” Bunga asked before picking up Timon and shaking him enthusiastically. “What’s zuka zama?!” He echoed before dropping his uncle and running over to a large rock in the middle of a forest. “I’ll tell you all about zuka zama!” The badger explained with pure joy eminent in his tone.

“You had to ask!” Timon slightly complained while still on the ground before music started up.

A large group of birds and monkeys were in the trees singing as Bunga danced and sang while explaining his philosophy. The song soon went to him riding on an elephant’s back and sliding on its trunk and launching off flying into a lake where he smacked his face on a rock and splashed into the water only to be raised up without a scratch on a hippo’s back with flamingos singing. He then chased a butterfly before he and a trio of monkeys explain his matto, and soon the badger was walking across a log bridging a small gap… over a giant canyon, playing jump rope with two elephants, walking out of a croc’s jaws, hanging upside down with bats, sliding down a python, and rolling around on a baobab fruit. Bunga continued singing as he jumped into a river with fish squirting water into the air around him. The badger then played the drums on some old skeletons before continuing to sing while going over a waterfall. Outside of this fantasy he started up a conga line with himself, Kion, Kiara, Tiffu, Pumbaa, and Skye who was flying for the dance bit, Timon looking on unimpressed as the song ended.

“Meh. Zuka palooka.” Timon replied bluntly before turning around with his arms crossed. “I still don’t think Bunga should be signing up for some Jungle Patrol.” He scoffed as his adoptive son got an annoyed look.

“Lion Guard!” Bunga retorted as the meerkat simply rolled his eyes.

“Whatever you call it.” Timon retorted back as the lion cub walked in between him and the warthog.

“Timon, Pumbaa, please. I really do need Bunga on the Lion Guard. He’s the bravest animal I know.” Kion explained with a smile and instantly won over the meerkat.

“Bravest animal you know?” Timon replied with a starry eyed look on his face before Kiara spoke up.

“He’s brave, all right.” The lion princess said in response before turning to her friends. “Brave bordering on stupid.” She muttered to her friends.

“Thanks, Kiara!” Bunga replied not even a little phased by the second thing said by the lioness cub.

“Well, when you put it that way…” Pumbaa said to the lion and pup before the meerkat spoke up.

“Congratulations, Bunga! We always knew you had it in you!” Timon told his honey badger son while shaking his hand with pride, Kiara on the other hand looked unimpressed.

“Oh, brother! Kion’s gonna wreck the Pride Lands before I even get to be queen.” The future ruler complained under her breath.

“Oh, Bunga. I’m so proud I could…” The warthog said with glee before he unintentionally let out some gas and wilted the tall grass behind him. “Oops. Sorry.” He said embarrassingly as the others looked at him with varying degrees of, for lack of a better term, grossed out.

“Zuri, let’s get you back to Pride Rock.” Kiara told her friend with a sheepish smile wanting to leave the area quickly.

“We’re out of here.” Was all said friend could say as she and Tiffu just gave shocked, confused, and slightly disgusted looks.

“I better go assemble the rest of my team…” Kion said as he ran off to do so.

“I should go to, probably best I look for Chase anyway.” Skye added as she flew quickly after Kion.

“Wait, guys! The three of us need to stick together!” Bunga finished as he ran after the pup and cub duo, leaving his warthog uncle confused and the meerkat just rubbing the back of his head knowing that none of them wanted to hurt his best friend’s feelings.

“Was it something I said?” Pumbaa asked as Timon smiled at him before they both looked in the direction that Kion, Bunga, and Skye went off in.

Back in the barricaded city the heroes there walked into a warehouse where they snuck in through a window and found themselves in a storage facility with crates and odd looking pods. Sonic recognizes them instantly.

“Yo! I found the wisps!” The hedgehog said as the non-mobian heroes went to get a closer look.

“What the…” Fuli stated as she saw an orange rocket-like alien hiding within the pod with a timid look on its face. “What!? What’s going on here?” She asked, utterly appalled by the treatment of these creatures.

“Yeah, I’m not sure what’s up with these little guys but seriously, not cool!” Spyro added while using the same voice tone as the cheetah.

“Just before he… went solo… Tails gave us the cipher for the wisps’ language. We asked for their help in fighting Eggman, and they agreed happily.” Knuckles explained as he walked over to the pods. “They even choose to wait in deployment pods like these for when our troops enter an area. But these guys are being hoarded. This is inexcusable.” He added while placing a hand on a pod containing a scared yellow drill-shaped wisp.

“Well let’s make sure these jerks know it!” Shoutmon replied in a serious tone, forcing a fist into his palm while doing so.

Zuma put a paw on a pod containing a blue cube-shaped wisp. “Hang in there dudes. We’ll get you out of this.” The orange clad labrador said before the group heard maniacal laughter from the next room over.

In said room there were two large looking skunks, the smaller one was blue with a mohawk, yellow gloves, and brown boots while the other was off white with a pompadour, white gloves with black rings with spikes, and black boots and unlike the blue skunk, he lacked a tail.

The two of them were at a table with food surrounded by crates filled with wisp loaded wispons and some of the citizens of the town acting as servants to the jerks serving food, fanning the duo, one acting as footstools, and another was in a jester hat while getting splashed by the sodas he brought out for them.

“Nice one, idiot!” The blue skunk said with a chuckle before the larger one spoke.

“Yeah! Now get us another round before we beat some sense into ya!” He added but given how they were treating these people it was kinda hard to tell if he was joking or not.

“Wow, they make the hooligans look like class acts.” Sonic said in a whisper as the echidna just gave a look that was more than ready to throw down.

“I’m gonna break them in half!” Knuckles grimaced before the recycling pup pulled him back.

“Easy guys, let’s take it slow.” Rocky said as the cheetah spoke up.

“I’m with him, we’ll give the villagers a chance to get out of the line of fire, then we’ll make our move on those guys.” Fuli added as RD spoke up.

“Yeah, then we’ll break ‘em!” The blue pegasus said before the digimon summoned his microphone and held it out to Sonic.

“The floor is yours.” Shoutmon told the hedgehog who happily took the mic.

“Hey! Tweedle-Dumb and Tweedle-Dumber!” The blue blur announced as he and the others stepped into view. “I’m Sonic the Hedgehog. Maybe you’ve heard of me? These guys are Spyro, a high flying dragon, Shoutmon, a hotheaded loudmouth, Fuli, the sassy cheetah, Rainbow Dash, a literal pegasus, Rocky and Zuma, a duo of rescue dogs, and Knuckles the echidna, commander of the resistance.” He introduced each of the other heroes to the skunks before giving Shoutmon his mic back. “You guys are guilty of theft, extortion, kidnapping, and being grade A jerks! So you can either come along quietly or we’re gonna get loud.” He finished explaining as the civilians made they’re escape as the two skunks just got angry.

“Who said you could come into our town, huh?! Who said you could ruin our fun?!” The off white skunk said as he swatted his glass off the table and let it shatter on the ground.

“Yeah, we’ve heard of you and the echidna, hero! But you clearly ain’t heard of us!” The smaller skunk said as the duo walked towards the heroes.

“You looking to scrap?” The larger skunk asked.

“Then get ready to crumble!” The smaller one continued before they both spoke.

“Brace yourselves for Rough and Tumble!” The two finished with a rhyme which left all but two either confused or on the verge of laughing.

“...Oh no. I was not prepared for this.” Sonic replied while also trying to hold back a laugh.

“Heh, me either…” Rainbow added as she stifled herself.

“Did they really just…” Fuli asked with a disapproving face.

“Do a weird rhyming villain intro… yeah. Yeah, they did.” Rocky confirmed with the digimon and echidna still giving the skunks a serious look.

“Careful, guys. They’re highly coordinated.” Knuckles said as he held up his fists ready to tussle.

“Yeah, we gotta make this quick.” Shoutmon added as he spun his mic a few times before pointing it at the jerks before Spyro flew over to them.

“Guys… you're both the salt of the earth.” The purple dragon said with a chuckle as the two rolled their eyes before rushing the skunks.

“Whatever, let’s just do this!” Shoutmon said as he, Knuckles, Fuli, and Rocky faced the smaller blue skunk, Rough. While Sonic, Spyro, Zuma, and Rainbow Dash went against the larger off white skunk, Tumble.

Sonic started by spinning into Tumble, who simply caught the hedgehog and bounced him around like a basketball before toffing him away. Spyro dove in for a counter attack only to get his tail yanked as the larger skunk slammed him into the floor.

“Which of you losers is next?” Tumble said in a brash tone with a cheeky grin.

“How about us, dude?” Zuma asked in a cocky tone while RD stood next to him, the off white skunk simply laughing his non-existent tail off in response.

“This’ll be easier than chucking a baby after stealing its candy!” Tumble exclaimed as he rushed the duo.

“Buoy!” Zuma barked before his pup pack fired a life ring right into Tumble’s eyes, causing him to lose balance. Then RD grabbed the same buoy and slammed it around the large skunk’s head and then used her speedy flight to spin him in a mini-tornado, making him even more unbalanced.

“So much for robbing baby levels of ease.” The pegasus joked as she used her hoof to give the water pup a fist bump.

With the other group Shoutmon tried to smash Rough with his microphone, only for the skunk to dodge him and flip onto a support beam.

“Come on, hold still!” The dragon digimon exclaimed before the blue skunk grinned.

“Stink bomber!” Rough shouted as he instantly gassed the group leaving them coughing and wheezing.

“That’s worse than Bunga!” Fuli gagged as the others coughed like crazy.

Rough giggled thinking he won only for the digimon and echidna to punch him into the floor. His brother soon picked him up out of the hole by his head.

“C’mon bro, we ain’t done yet.” Tumble said as the two groups of heroes reunited, the ones who dealt with Tumble now holding their noses to the stink caused by Rough.

“Ugh… you guys okay?” Sonic said as he waved away some of the stink before the pup in green spoke up.

“We’ll live…” Rocky coughed in response before the skunk brothers grabbed two of the weapons.

“No more messing around.” The larger skunk said as he held a yellow lightning-shaped wispon.

“Say your prayers, chumps!” The blue skunk mocked as he held a red wispon over his head.

“Okay, that might complicate things.” RD said to her friends as the digimon whipped the tears caused by the stink bomb out of his eyes.

“They aren’t the only ones with a weapon.” Shoutmon said as he picked up his mic and charged it with energy. “You guys get clear, while I take ‘em.” The red dragon explained before the blue hedgehog ran over and put a hand on his shoulder.

“Wait, I can do one better.” The hedgehog explained before a memory of a previous adventure resurfaced. “Wisps! It’s me, your old buddy Sonic! I saved your planet from Dr Eggman, remember?” The blue blur called out as the echidna smiled, knowing what his plan was. “A bunch of you chose to stick around in this world! You helped me on Lost Hex! You helped the resistance fight the Eggman Empire! I know fighting isn’t your thing, but you’ve proven you’re all powerful and brave! Don’t let these jerks boss you around! They need you to bully everyone, but you don’t need them!” He announced to all the wisps, the lightning and burst wisps within the wispons currently in the skunk’s possession left as all the other wisps left the pods and surrounded the two punk jerks.

This led the hedgehog and echidna to fist bump each other while smirking at the skunks with the rest of the heroes there. Both trouble making skunks looking around in a slight panic trying to get their wispons to work again.

“C’mon c’mon c’mon!” The larger off white skunk said trying to make the wispon he was holding work as his brother turned to the wisps.

“One of you get in this thing right now!” Rough shouted in anger before the punk duo heard the heroes speak up.

“The tables have turned.” Fuli, Shoutmon, Rocky, and Knuckles started as they readied themselves for a brawl.

“They’ve certainly bumbled.” RD, Spyro, Zuma, and Sonic continued as they stretched for the oncoming plumbing they were preparing to bring.

“It’s butt kick time for Rough and Tumble!” The eight of them finished in unison much to the annoyance of the smaller blue skunk.

“That’s our thing! You can’t do our thing!” Rough shouted in frustration as the other skunk was still frantically trying to get his wispon to power up. The eight heroes then went to lay the smackdown on the two weasels.

After the battle the group lead the dastardly duo out of the warehouse where a shuttle was waiting to bring them to they’re cells, all the while the citizens and wisps cheer them on for their victory just as the dog boy from when they first came to the town ran up to them holding a drill-like wispon.

“You did it! How can we ever repay you?” The canine asked with a very thankful and relieved tone.

“Serve up some chili dogs and we’ll call it even.” Sonic joked before a yellow wisp floated over and chattered a bit.

“Er… What’s it saying?” The dog boy asked as both the cheetah and labrador walked over.

“Do any of us look like we speak… wisp… they are called wisps right?” Fuli asked as the water rescue dog just shrugged in confusion.

“Yeah, we have no idea. I don’t have Tails’s translator handy.” The blue hedgehog explained before the wisp flew into the mobian dog’s wispon to which the pup wearing green spoke up.

“I think I get it. It’s saying the wisps want to stay here and help you and your friends defend the town.” Rocky explained as the brown mobian dog looked to the wispon he held with tears starting to flow.

“Thank you! Thank you so much!” He said to the wisp inside the weapon he currently held, fully ellated and overjoyed at the news.

“Hope you enjoyed it while it lasted.” A periwinkle cat girl with light blue hair said as she and a brown coyote both wielding drill wispons walked the skunks into the shuttle.

“You two are going to be locked up for a very long time.” The coyote said right before the skunks turned to the eight heroes.

“Their little cells won’t hold us for long! We’ll be out, and then we’re coming for you!” Tumble explained with a menacing tone.

“You’ve all made life-long enemies of Rough and Tumble!” Rough added before they were both sent off as the group had the recycling pup looking worried. The echidna, digimon, and cheetah looked annoyed at the antic. And the rest of them attempted to stifle their laughter.

As the skunks were sent off Knuckles sighed before the gray mutt spoke up.

“Well that’s… worrisome…” Rocky said before turning to Zuma. “We should probably get home before anything bad happens.” He explained his thoughts before the labrador spoke.

“Not right now, I left Marshall and Rubble back in Equestria and we need to find Chase and Skye.” The water rescue pup explained before the digimon spoke up.

“Skye should still be in the Pride Lands… you know as long as she hasn’t run into another portal…” Shoutmon said before the echidna spoke.

“Well no matter what, thanks for the help guys. Even if I didn’t need it.” Knuckles said with a cocky sort of gratitude before the hedgehog zipped over.

“Nah, but you didn’t share the badnik outside. You owed us this.” Sonic poked fun as he and the rad red fist bumped.

“Hopefully this is the point of things turning around. I really do miss home.” Knuckles said as the two pups along with the cheetah and skylands dragon frown.

“Speaking of homes, we should head out soon ourselves.” Shoutmon replied before putting a hand on the cheetah and water rescue lab’s shoulders. “We got some portals to track down.” He said with the hedgehog and pegasus nodding.

“And after that we’ve gotta find out who’s controlling Eggman’s leftover badniks.” Sonic added before the pegasus flew over.

“Yeah, if your friends are anything like you guys I’m sure they’re all fine.” RD finished before turning to see the wisps flying around happily celebrating the victory. “But for right now, let’s party!” She said with the four homesick heroes slightly grinning and nodding at the idea.

“Alright, I guess we could stay for a few minutes.” Fuli replied with the pups and dragon hooting at the joy of this action. After some celebration the group said their goodbyes to Knuckles and set off to find the next portal.

“Let’s get going, and maybe find where the Book of Skylanders went.” Spyro proclaimed as the scene cut to a background of the book falling out of a portal in front of a blue suspension bridge before being caught by someone wearing a robe before he cackled maniacally with an accompanying lightning strike.

Author's Note

With more heroes having met each other the group of Mobian hedgehog, dragons both digital and Skylander, cheetah, and rescue pups will head off for the next adventure to meet up with two new heroes, both of Sonic's world yet one a new friend for even him.

Along with that we'll learn what that vulture was planning in the Pride Lands and going to see what the duo of german shepherd and cattle egret were up too up until now.
