It has only been a month since Twilight Sparkle and the Elements of Harmony defeated Lord Tirek, and Twilight herself ascended to become an alicorn and Princess of magic...and already many things have changed in Ponyville, and beyond.

What was originally a typical morning in Ponyville takes a turn for the unknown when Twilight Sparkle is summoned by herself to Canterlot at the request of Princess Celestia. Awaiting her there is not just the Solar and Lunar Alicorns, but the first Prince of the nation of Cydonia, Mathias Orren. The Cydonian Prince has come to fulfill an obligation of his own nation one thousand years in the making, and now...Twiilight must fulfill Equestria's.

Which, as stated by the terms of the treaty...means Princess Twilight Sparkle is now bethrothed to the Cydonian Prince. What begins as an obligation will blossom into something more, as both sides must accept and deal with the far-reaching consequences...but all's fair in love and war, isn't it?
