Husband Harem 2: The Pony Prequel

Pharynx smiled, as did Chrysalis, who went "Excellent! Technically, this certificate is the only bit of paperwork you need, however I am the one who officiates these sorts of things and at the moment I do have some diplomatic work to do in Ponyville. I'd rather we make this thing official when we get back to the hive, so perhaps you would like to accompany us Fleur?"

Fleur went "Sure! I don't really go to Ponyville very often, it'll be interesting"

Chrysalis said "Alright, that settles it! Congratulations Pharynx, you've started a pony collection, don't get too comfortable because we'll be leaving in just a couple of hours"

• a couple of hours later -

On the train to Ponyville, Fleur had fallen asleep with her head on Pharynx's lap and Chrysalis was sitting opposite. The trundling sounds of the train were the only noise for a while until Chrysalis said "You know Pharynx... this is a pretty big milestone for relations between the changeling kingdom and other more "pony-centric" kingdoms. You and Fleur are the first coupling between a changeling and a pony for obvious reasons and I have to say that, if she provides you with a food source voluntarily... well, it's quite an achievement"

Pharynx nodded his head and said "Thank you your majesty, your approval is most appreciated"

Chrysalis paused and said "Pharynx... you are loyal to the hive and also a supporter of our peace movement, right?"

Pharynx went "Of course"

Chrysalis continued "And although you find female changelings very attractive and have even fucked a few of them, you have a thing for ponies to an extent where you've decided that you'd pursue multiple pony brides instead of changeling brides... right?"

Pharynx nodded and simply went "That would be an accurate assessment of the situation your majesty"

Chrysalis said "Good, because as you know, our initiative is based on the principle that our alliance with other kingdoms starts with a simple trade which would then open the door to future dealings, which establishes a mutual friendship via trade routes and so forth until, voila! Alliance. Pharynx, although it would be a lot to ask from a kingdom... there may come times where, in exchange for something that they want us to supply... I would like to ask for them to supply an additional bride for you. Are you OK with that idea?"

Pharynx found Chrysalis' idea surprising, though the fact that she was asking him permission was even more astounding. Pharynx replied "If it serves our kingdom and gives me more mares to have sex with, I think I'd be more than alright with it your majesty"

Chrysalis smiled and said "Excellent"

As they approached the station to Ponyville, Fleur was awake and said "So Pharynx, I know a little bit about you but is there anything I don't know that you think might be important?"

Pharynx said "Well, I have a brother named Thorax"

Thorax was sitting opposite them right next to Chrysalis and before Fleur could even ask to be introduced, Thorax gave a little wave and said "Hi!"

Fleur looked over Thorax. Instead of armor he was wearing a pale green shirt, brown waistcoat with a tie and trousers of the same color, presumably with black shoes on his feet. As Fleur observed his scrawny frame and feminine features, she just went "He... he's your brother?"

Pharynx chuckled and said "Yes, hard to believe, I know. As you can tell he is not a security guard for the hive, after the changelings voted to strive for peace, many of us had the freedom to choose our own jobs while some of us opted to remain in a more military post"

Fleur asked "So what is his job?"

Thorax excitedly piped up and said "I'm a tailor! In fact, I'll be the one responsible for making your harem outfit when we get to the hive! I've learned a lot of things from the world of fashion in Equestria and when we get to Ponyville, I'm hoping I can get some tips from one of the best fashionistas in the business!" Fleur found it beyond ludicrous that these two changelings were siblings, she had never seen two people who were such stark opposites to each other in her life. They pulled into the station, Chrysalis approached the train door and as soon as it opened, she was immediately faced by several royal guards, already pointing spears at her when all she had done is arrived in on the train and stood there waiting to get off the train.

One of the guards said "Halt changeling! Princess Twilight has accepted your invitation but has demanded that you be escorted to the castle! Myself and seven other guards will be responsible for your journey from this train to the castle doors! Only after that point will we allow you free reign to walk inside the castle and begin your talks with the princess!"

Chrysalis thought that this was slightly over the top but understood the reasoning behind it and said "Very well, however, please allow my citizens the freedom to explore Ponyville. I assure you that if any of them show the slightest shred of malevolent intent, then you can throw spears until your hearts are content and Twilight can blast us to oblivion with as much magical energy and as many magical artifacts that she has available to her"

The guards all shared glances with each other, silently conversing with each other through expression alone. The guard turned back to Chrysalis and, with a scowl on his face, said "Permission granted, now move!" As they filed out of the train, the very same guard noticed Fleur walking next to Pharynx and went "Halt!" Everything stopped as the guard pointed at Pharynx and went "You there, changeling, what is the nature of your accompanying this fine young woman? Is she a changeling spy? A captive? Have you kidnapped this female?"

Fleur frowned and said "Excuse me sir, but "female" has a name! My name is Fleur and I am not a changeling. Use magic if you don't believe me"

The guard was smart enough to know that not even a changeling spy would willingly reveal themselves and so he said "OK, so if you're not a changeling, are you in any danger?"

Fleur shook her head and went "Not at all, this changeling is my fiance. Oh, and before you ask, I was not forced into it, it's not an arranged marriage, I love him and want to marry him"

The guard almost gagged at the notion that a such a beautiful pony woman would waste their affections on an undeserving, good-for-nothing, filthy and disgusting creature such as a changeling, yet accepted what Fleur had said as fact and said "Alright men, let's move out!" Everyone considered it lucky that the guard thought that even a woman who had been kidnapped and was being forced to talk and therefore lie about the the changelings being innocent and not guilty of any crimes, wouldn't come up with such a ridiculous concept like "I'm getting married to a changeling"

As Chrysalis was being marched off towards the castle, Thorax immediately started making his way to Carousel Boutique. Pharynx turned to Fleur and said "Sorry to state the obvious here but... it would seem Ponyville won't exactly welcome me, even Thorax is getting odd looks and he is about as threatening as a rabbit. Fleur, explore the town by yourself for now, I am happy for you to go about town without me. Your experience in this town would be ruined if I am by your side"

Fleur, her heart touched and with her eyes welling up with tears, said "Oh Pharynx I... that's so sweet but I'm not ashamed to be romantically involved with you..."

Pharynx smiled and said "I know... but please, go and have fun in town without having to deal with ponies being judgmental just because I am with you"

Fleur just asked "Are you sure?"

Pharynx nodded. After a hug and a kiss, Fleur walked off into town and Pharynx did the responsible thing by walking in completely the opposite direction. Pharynx did his best to ignore the constant hateful looks he got from the residents of Ponyville as he simply walked around, not to mention the odd comment. Pharynx felt odd because as a security guard, he was usually honor bound to some kind of duty, even in Canterlot he had been tasked with protecting Fleur from harm but here... he served no purpose and was free to actually relax for once. Pharynx decided to go to a less populated area of Ponyville, he figured that his presence in town would cause too much of a disturbance both for him and the town in general.

Eventually Pharynx reached what looked to be an apple orchard, there was a barn and a house nearby but there didn't seem to be any people around at that moment. Pharynx walked to the nearest tree stump and sat down, taking in a deep breath of the fresh air, closing his eyes and just reveling in the warmth of the sun, feeling the cool and gentle breeze that washed over his skin, the smell in the air of fresh apples, cut grass and hay, things that all evoked an almost nostalgic feeling of being connected to nature and best of all was the almost complete and total silence, away from it all..... for about one minute.

The thump of a boot on a tree trunk and the subsequent sound of apples falling to the ground broke Pharynx out of his temporary solitude. He turned around to see a woman picking up the apples and putting them in a basket, it was only once she had filled the basket and collected all the apples that she wiped the sweat off her brow and noticed that Pharynx was even there. Though rather than look at him with disgust or fear, she went "Oh, well howdy there partner! Sorry if I disturbed you, I didn't know anyone was here. Name's Applejack, how you doin'?"

Pharynx smiled slightly and said "Name's Pharynx... I have to say that you're probably the first person in this town to actually treat me like a person instead of an evil creature"

Applejack nodded and went "Well, I can't say I exactly blame them due to your past, though if Twilight is willin' to trust you enough to allow Chrysalis in town then I see no reason not to trust you! I'm guessin' you came out here for some alone time huh?"

Pharynx thought and said "Well, kind of. That's not to say I wouldn't enjoy your company though, I think more than anything I came out here to relax, being head of security is a very tough and demanding job"

Applejack strolled over and sat next to Pharynx saying "Whew, tell me about it! I don't know anythin' 'bout bein' a guard but bein' an apple farmer? Well that's hard work and sacrifice for a whole other bushel of reasons!" The two of them smiled at each other, bonding a little over their shared connection of being very hard working people and their appreciation of people who did very difficult jobs. Suddenly, Applejack said "Are you hungry Pharynx? I'm pretty much done pickin' apples for the day, so if you like you can come in and I'll fix you up with a nice meal, whaddaya say?"

Pharynx, surprised at just how trusting Applejack was, said "Well, that's very hospitable of you but I don't want to impose, I'd hate to get in your way or be a nuisance..."

Applejack scoffed and went "A nuisance? Nonsense! Come on, if you're famished then I'll happily provide, so up and at 'em, let's have some good ol' apple family lunch together!" As they stood up and started strolling towards the house, Pharynx couldn't help but let his eyes roam over Applejack's body and it was only then that he realized something...... Applejack's ass was positively enormous. Pharynx hadn't noticed it at first because he wasn't really checking her out, though now that he was... he was just wondering how such a massive rump could even be squeezed into the jeans she was wearing, as Applejack undid a couple of the buttons on her red shirt to get some breeze to her cleavage in an effort to cool down, she turned around and smirked to see that Pharynx had his eyes focused on one particular part of her body.

A few seconds passed and Applejack, without warning, just stood stock still, causing Pharynx to accidentally press his crotch up against her buttocks. He froze in embarrassment, his eyes still stuck looking at her huge butt, Applejack cleared her throat and said "Hey, my eyes are all the way up here sugar cube"

Pharynx stepped away and said "I... I must apologize, I didn't mean to... it's just that-"

Applejack interrupted his fumbling with a chuckle and said "Relax big fella, you ain't the first person to notice the junk in my trunk, I suppose I should take it as a compliment that you find it so allurin'. It would seem that all my hard work kickin' trees out in the field didn't stop all the apple pies goin' to my thighs!"

Pharynx still felt the need to make up for ogling her and said "Well, that's not the only thing to like about you"

Applejack stopped again and turned to face Pharynx and said "Really? Well... what else is there? I mean, I don't consider myself particularly.... y'know, I'm not traditionally attractive"

Pharynx was confused now, he said "What are you talking about? I mean for me at least, I appreciate a woman who is strong and dedicated, your hair is a lovely shade of blonde and I like the red hair band you've used to tie it up in a ponytail, your freckled face certainly adds an element of cuteness, your accent... well, if I'm being honest I find it a little bit sexy, plus you're muscular and your eyes are are about as green as some of the lovely apples you have in your basket"

Applejack tried to hide her blush and went "Well... you can talk big guy! You got a deep and manly voice, most would say my brother Big Mac is considered the biggest and strongest guy in town but if he saw you, I'm pretty sure he'd turn tail and run! Also with the size of your body I can only imagine the size of your... well, y'know... your trunk and two apples, a tall and hardy thick trunk and... two ripe, plump and very juicy apples..." Applejack shuddered, licking the drool from her lips, her eyes drifting down towards the armor that was covering what Pharynx had between his legs.

Pharynx smirked and said "My eyes are up here, sugar cube"

Applejack blushed so hard that her face started looking like a red delicious apple with eyes as she said "Hey now! Don't go stealin' my countryisms!" They both had a laugh as they finally made it to the house, Pharynx sat down at the dining table and made himself comfortable while Applejack went to the kitchen and said "So, what you got a hankerin' for?"

Pharynx wasn't too well-versed in apple-based products, only really knowing about apple pies and not much else, so he just went "Oh I don't mind particularly, something small and easy will be fine"

Pharynx watched with fascination as Applejack peeled and sliced some apples and put them in a bowl, sprinkling them with some sugar and cinnamon before placing the bowl in the oven for five minutes. Applejack took them out of the oven and prodded them with a fork to test that they were done, satisfied that they were cooked, she put half of the slices on one plate and the other half on another plate, added a spoonful of maple syrup and one scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. She put one plate in front of Pharynx before sitting next to him with her own plate and said "There you go! Some nice and simple apple slices, bon apple-tit!"

Pharynx smiled and started to tuck in, he wasn't sure what flavor he was expecting but the incredible taste that graced his tongue was not something he was expecting considering it looked to be such a simple recipe. He hummed and said "Oh my goodness... these are delicious! I can honestly say that if I could swap out my consumption of love for one food, this would be it!"

Applejack smiled as Pharynx began to hungrily scarf down the apple slices and said "Aw shucks, you don't mean that. It's just apple slices, there ain't no need to patronize me and go on sayin' they're better than they are because I assure you they ain't all that, so don't be tellin' lies! Give me your honest opinion!"

Pharynx insisted "No, I'm serious! These are wonderful! You're a very talented cook, I could imagine these being a very nice starter in a restaurant, I mean it!"

Applejack, feeling butterflies in her stomach at his praise, just went "Really?"

Pharynx nodded and said "Really really"

Applejack smiled nervously, people had always told her she was a good cook but not quite in the way Pharynx did, Applejack shrugged and went "Well... learning to cook apple-based products... it just comes with the tradition of my family I suppose, you should try some of our other stuff, cider, zap apple jam, not the right season for it at the moment but I'm sure you'd enjoy it if you come around more often!"

As Pharynx finished up his food, his face dropped and said "Well, it is unfortunate and a great travesty that it is unlikely that I will ever return to Ponyville, you see I'm head of security at the hive in the changeling kingdom so..."

Applejack caught on and in an equally somber tone said "You have to stay there... right?" Pharynx nodded, Applejack went "Well... that is a shame, I enjoy being with you"

Pharynx looked to Applejack and she looked at him, their eyes meeting. Pharynx cupped Applejack's cheek with one hand, she leaned into his touch as they brought their faces closer together until their lips met in a sensual kiss. When they separated, Applejack's breath was shaky and she said "You know... I don't think my family would approve of this..."

Pharynx went "Where is your family anyway?"

Applejack said "Big Mac is on a delivery, my Granny Smith is asleep and my little sister Applebloom is out with her friends..." and adjusted her hat as she held in her sorrow, trying desperately to hold back tears, she didn't know why she had fallen so instantly in love with Pharynx... there was just something about him that made her feel different to how she felt when other guys had tried to court her. Applejack continued "You know... sometimes... I wish I didn't have to work so hard, I feel like I have to be the strong one in my family because it's my responsibility to keep the farm goin' and... I don't know, I guess what I'm sayin' is... I wish I could be with you and not have to choose my work and my family over you... it's not fair..."

Pharynx nodded in understanding and said "Well... what if you could choose me?" Applejack looked at Pharynx with a questioning look on her face, though her quizzical look melted away to make way for a hopeful and happy expression while Pharynx explained the rules of marriage in the changeling kingdom.

• fifteen minutes later -

"Are you seriously leavin' the farm AND the town just so you can spend the rest of your life with that THING?!?!" Granny Smith wasn't very pleased that Applejack had agreed to marry Pharynx, Big Mac and Applebloom weren't massive fans either but they knew that when Applejack made a decision, she stuck to it and would only find out if it was a bad decision later down the line.

Applejack didn't waver and said "Yes Granny, that's all there is to it"

Granny Smith could tell she wasn't going to get anywhere with Applejack and went back into the house in a huff, Big Mac and Applebloom were at least kind enough to give Applejack a "goodbye hug", a promise that they'd look after the farm and assure her that there would always be a place waiting just for her back on the farm if she was ever able to return. Pharynx made the effort to put Big Mac and Applebloom's worries and fears to rest, though whether he was successful or not was debatable at best. As they started making their way back to the train station, doing their best to ignore the funny looks and snide comments they were getting, Chrysalis was arriving at the same time, yet again surrounded by guards but also accompanied by a pony with very fetching purple and white striped hair.

Pharynx bowed and said "Your majesty, I would like to introduce you to Applejack, my newest bride"

Applejack bowed and said "A pleasure to meet you your majesty"

Chrysalis smiled and said "Well, funny coincidence! Pharynx, this here is Twilight Velvet, your newest newest bride. She's the first bride that you will have gained through political discussion, you have quite a large task ahead of you, so I asked the princess to supply you with a wife for "relaxation" purposes. I'll brief you on your mission during the train journey"

As Chrysalis got on the train, Twilight Velvet gave a little curtsy and said "It's an unexpected pleasure to meet you Pharynx, I hope to make you a very happy husband"

Pharynx smiled at how polite this pony was, then Fleur arrived on the scene and Pharynx said "Ah, great timing! Fleur, meet my two newest brides, Applejack and Twilight Velvet"

Fleur giggled and said "My my, two new brides already? Such a quick charmer! It's a pleasure to meet you both" while she shook hands with both of them shortly before they all boarded the train. The guards were left baffled that some ponies were choosing to marry a changeling.

Chrysalis was marched to the doors, hushed whispers and gasps the only sound beyond the clanging of armor and thudding of foot steps around her. One of the guards knocked on the door and, after a few seconds, a teenage dragon of all things opened the door. Upon seeing Chrysalis, the dragon swallowed a lump in his throat and said "Alright guys... Twilight is in the throne room waiting for you..." then dashed into said throne room while the guards marched Chrysalis in, she didn't expect that the guards would be present for the meeting as well, seemed like the princess was being overly cautious.

Chrysalis was marched into the throne room and flanked either side by a guard as she sat down, the other guards creating a circle around the whole room to cover every vantage point just in case they were forced to engage in combat and battle the queen of the changelings. Sat opposite Chrysalis was Twilight, with the dragon who hadn't been named yet and also two other ponies sat beside her. One was a woman with white skin plus purple and white striped hair and the other was a man with blue skin and even darker blue hair.

Twilight cleared her throat and said "Welcome Chrysalis. I am Twilight Sparkle, princess of friendship, besides me is Spike, royal adviser and friendship ambassador to the dragon lands and also... my parents, they were not intended to be here but my schedule unfortunately meant that their visit coincided with your visit and I had no wish to postpone either one... I do hope you can understand"

Chrysalis nodded and said "Of course, my goal here is to reach an agreement that will lead to a long-lasting friendship and sense of harmony between our two peoples, starting with a single trade"

Twilight said "Excellent, I took the liberty of studying what goods, services, substances and other such things that your kingdom has to offer and I think I may have found something that is of interest"

This was going better than Chrysalis hoped and said "Really? That's excellent to hear your majesty, what is that you wish for the changeling kingdom to provide?"

Twilight simply asked "Am I correct in understanding that there is a creature native to the changeling kingdom know as a maulwurf?"

This was an interesting turn of events, Chrysalis nodded and went "Yes, it's a large mole-like creature and, similar to regular moles, are a rather destructive pest. Despite being a herbivore that prefers to stay underground, the maulwurf will attack smaller creatures without provocation, you would have an interest in this creature?"

Twilight confirmed "Precisely. As I understand it, the maulwurf is an extremely rare and magical creature and the thing I ask for is simple. I wish for all available knowledge you have on this creature for the scientific community and also a specimen, that is to say I wish for the live capture of one maulwurf"

Chrysalis gasped and said "Capture? Forgive me your majesty, information on the creature is more than achievable, though the capture of a live maulwurf is no mean feat. For what purpose do you wish to have a maulwurf in captivity? To breed them?"

Twilight shook her head and went "No no, certainly not, if the maulwurf is as rare and destructive as I'm led to believe, then breeding them in captivity to save them from extinction is ill-advised. No, we simply wish for the capture of one maulwurf so that we can study it and then, once we've gathered all the facts we know about it from study and from the information you will give us, we will keep the creature in Tartarus. Naturally evil and/or aggressive beasts that pose a threat to pony kind have one member of their species kept prisoner in Tartarus as penance, it helps establish a sense of harmony because ponies don't feel the need to hunt the creatures down, they already know that at least one of the animals is being punished by imprisonment and the rest of the monsters have the right to be free, live and let live"

Chrysalis let that information soak in, it was an odd way of allowing dangerous creatures to roam the planet but now wasn't the time to discuss animal welfare, rights and ethics, this was about striking a deal between two nations and two races who had previously gone to war with each other. Chrysalis let out a breath and said "I must say your majesty, this is quite a difficult task, it will take my entire security team plus some new recruits and maybe even former army generals to successfully trap a maulwurf. I hope that you will understand that, in exchange for the information and the captured maulwurf, I will likely ask for something you may consider just as challenging"
