A city that was destroyed during the summer has now been rebuilt. Inside a recently build diner, Sentinel Star, the playcolt himself, sat and awaited for the rest of his crew to meet him. "Glad you all decided to come." he said. "Cut the shit, Sentinel." said Aqua. "What is it this time?" "We're going to Vanhoover." he stated. "The annual Winter Games are about to start and i've already signed us up." "Why?!" asked Nami. "Because he's still hooked up on Princess Twilight Sparkle, that's why." said Gravel. "This is yet another attempt to get with her." The others just looked at Sentinel with a "are you serious" face, except for Shocker and Ebony. Ebony rubbed both hands together grinning with excitement at the thought that he will once again clash with his "rival". "Are...you...SERIOUS?!" yelled Aqua. "You nearly died twice going after her. Just give up, she's NEVER gonna be in your harem!" "No. We still have a score to setting with them." he said. "Keep in mind, we never finished the Beach Games." "Because the city was destroyed because of you." said Gravel. "You kidnapped that dragon on order to lure the princess to your hotel room. "We're going." he said; much to Sentinel's delight. Ever since he recovered, Ebony has devoted himself to training; preparing for the chance to once again face off against Big Mac in a rematch. It's the one thing that's been on his mind ever since Baltimare, and he was NOT going to give up this chance to prove once and for all who the strongest is. The others just looked at him and all collectively sighed; knowing that there's no way they could refuse, otherwise, they'd be in for a long lecture about honor and valor, or some other such nonsense. Sentinel, beaming with happiness, leapt from his seat and hugged Ebony; knowing he could always count on him to get the others to follow. "I owe you big time!" he said. "What do you say I lend you three of my fanmares tonight." "No need." Ebony declined. "Give'em to one of the others if you want, just so long as I get to face my rival again." All the others could do now was go along with everything; each one wondering just what it was they did in a past life to end up in a situation like this. **************************** The next morning, Spike groaned before opening his eyes. The bedroom was dark with only a few small beams of light shining through the window blinds. "Will the princesses be joining you?" asked a male pegasus. "They have been looking a little stressed lately, especially Princess Celestia, a trip to the snow resort would be good for them, don't you think." While the others all agreed, Blueblood knew what they were trying to do, they were trying to convince him to invite Celestia to Vanhoover. If she and the others came along, it would obviously cause a lot of buzz around the city. Many ponies would certainly head over to the resort, but that would also mean, many of the paparazzi as well. He knew most of them would do anything to get a scandalous picture of Celestia, heck, they're still trying to find those photos of her when she was topless at the beach. Thankfully, the prince was able to confiscate and destroy all of them, but that didn't stop them from believing there were still some out there. With a heavy sigh, the prince agreed to talk to his aunt about the trip, but whether or not she'd want to go will be her decision. **************************** It was later in the day when the royal family gathered together in the throne room. With the fall season about to end, it was time to make plans for the winter season. Blueblood was about to propose his plans for the trip to Vanhoover when a guard holding a letter entered. "You're majesties, pardon the intrusion." he said. "What is it?" asked Celestia. "We received this letter addressed to the royal family." he said. Blueblood levitated the letter out of the guard's hands and into his own. "Thank you, you're dismissed." As the guards started to leave, Blueblood opened the letter; a confused look formed on his face. "What is it?" asked Luna. "What does it say?" "I have no idea." the prince answered. "It's just a bunch of squiggles. It's probably nothing anyway." The prince balled the paper up before incinerating it in his hand. "Anyway, as you know, Snow Valley is approaching it's third year anniversary, so I'll be heading out there soon." "Well I guess congratulations are in order." Celestia said cheerfully. "But do I get the sense that there's more you want to say." "As observant as ever." the prince responded. "You see, the other board members wishes for the entire royal family to be there this year. They believe having you there will bring some publicity to the resort, but I don't think that would be a good idea." "How so?" Celestia asked. "Remember you little incident in Baltimare?" he answered. "Apparently, there are still members of the paparazzi either looking for, or hoping to recreate that incident so they'll have something to print." Celestia remembered that moment all to well. "We're really going through with this, aren't we?" asked Aqua. "Do we really have a choice?" Moonstone answered. "Sentinel would continue to hound us until we gave in." "So can you guys remind me why we're going to Vanhoover again?" asked Swift. "Sentinel is STILL hung up on Princess Twilight Sparkle." Nami explained. "He wants to challenge that dragon friend of hers to another competition." Moonstone heavily sighed as he couldn't believe their fearless leader was still trying to get the princess in bed with him. "This weekend is the third anniversary of Blueblood's ski resort." she explained. " And it's been decided that the royal family should attend." "So we're going just to drum up publicity for the resort?" Twilight asked. "Pretty much." Luna answered. "Blueblood's shareholders were pretty much begging him to ask us to be there, besides, it's just going to be for the three day weekend so we won't be gone for that long." "I wonder if we could bring the others along." Twilight wondered. "I don't see why not." Celestia said; placing a hand over Spike's. "The Bearers of the Elements are celebrities in their own right, so i'm sure everypony would be just as excited to see them there as us." "So when do we leave?" Spike asked. "In three days." Luna answered. "The three day weekend will begin once we get there." Three days in Vanhoover. A city known for it's beautiful snowy mountains, and amazing hot springs. It was an obvious place for tourist to vacation there, which makes sense why Blueblood would setup a ski resort. The last time Spike was in the city was years ago when he was just a little hatchling.
