EPISODE 14: THE RESCUE PARTY

A truck crashed through the trees while four of Viper's Atrociraptors pursuited.

The driver of the truck revealed to be Sandbar, panicking while Ocellus & Silverstream looked after unconscious Yona with an arrow stuck on her back. Gallus was trying to keep the infant dinosaurs calm. Smolder was shooting at the Atrociraptors with an assault rifle.

"Faster, Sandbar," said Ocellus.

"WHAT ARE YOU EVEN TALKING ABOUT?! I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A STICK!" Sandbar screamed, driving in zigzag.

"Yona, Yona, you’re okay, wake up," Silverstream patted Yona’s face hard but to no avail.

"Smolder, a little help here,” Gallus was having trouble watching the infant dinos.

"Kinda busy over here!" Smolder said through her teeth as she open-fire til she ran outta ammo. "Damn it!"

Then Ghost & Panthera jumped onto the truck & so they did.

"They're on the truck!" Gallus shouted.

"I'll take care of it!" Smolder dropped the assault rifle & bravely climbed up the truck.

"COULD THIS DAY GET ANY WORSE?!" screamed Sandbar.

What? What's the problem?

: Aren't you forgetting something?

Ahem...as I was saying, it was a bright sunny day. The Young-6 were watching a herd of herbivore dinosaurs (Apatosaurs, Stegosaurs, Sinoceratops, Ankylosaurs, Iguanodons, Gallimimus, & Parasaurs) on a wide-opened field in the distance.

"Wow, what amazing creatures, aren't they?" Silverstream squealed.

"Yah, 'Ooh, ah!' that's how all it start. Then later there's running & screaming," said Gallus.

"Don't worry. I've read that these ones are herbivore," Ocellus reassured. Then a huge Ankylosaurus approached.

"Uh..guys, big dino coming," Yona warned the group. The Ankylosaurus stood before & watched them.

"So is this a turtle-saurus or something?" asked Smolder.

"It's a Ankylosaurus," Ocellus corrected. "I got an idea."

Then Ocellus transformed into a Ankylosaurus. Ocellus (in her Ankylosaurus-form) approached the dinosaur & spoke to it with its language.

"What is she saying to it?" Sandbar curiously asked.

"I have absolutely no idea," Gallus shrugged. Then the Ankylosaurus walked away & Ocellus turned to the group & transformed back in her old self.

"So what did you say to it?" Silverstream asked.

"She was just wondering what we were doing so I told them we were just watching them," Ocellus explained.

"Well the dinosaurs these days are really precautious towards us. I don’t blame them," Sandbar said.

"Yeah, especially with hunters or poachers lurked around anywhere," added Gallus.

Then a pair of binoculars spied on the herd on the hilltop.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" the owner of the binoculars smiled, revealing to be Thrust Hoof & with his gang of hunters & Viper’s Atrociraptors.

"Time for a little fishin’, my friends. We got big ones to catch!"

Thrust laughed as he & the hunters started their vehicles & drove down the hill.

The Young-6 watched the herd, unaware of what’s going to happen. Then a herd net was thrown on a baby Gallimimus. The group gasped.

"Guys, look!" Smolder pointed as the hunters fired their net guns on only the baby dinosaurs. They caught a Sinoceratops calf, three Stegosaurus babies, two Iguanodons, & one Parasaur baby. The adults flee for safety instead of helping their broods. But one Ankylosaurus, the same dinosaur from earlier, stood its ground, trying to intimidate the attackers. He swung his club-tail & hit one of the vehicles. Then it rammed three of the hunter ponies with its head, sending them in the air.

"Whoa, look at him go," Smolder breathed in awe as the group agreed.

Ankylosaurus was doing its best, fighting off the hunters. The four Atrociraptors launched onto its hide, trying to bite or claw it. But it was completely useless. The Ankylosaurus shook off Panthera & Tiger. It smashed Red away with its tail. Ghost mounted onto its face & clawed it. But the Ankylosaurus smashed her by ramming a rock. Then giant eye-patched stallion fired a harpoon cannon to the Ankylosaurus’ hind leg. The dinosaur howled in pain.

The Young-6 gasped in either shock or horror. Then another pony shot another harpoon to its paw. Then the two vehicles drove backwards, making the rope of harpoon straight. The Ankylosaurus growled painfully before lifting its tail but a pegasus roped it with a chain. Then two more chains wrapped around its neck. The Ankylosaurus tried to break free but it was useless. Thrust dismounted from his vehicle & approached the Ankylosaurus.

"Brave," he smiled. Then the Ankylosaurus roared at his face. The Young-6 watched intensely.

"Yona scared," Yona quivered.

"Not brave enough," Thrust pulled out a short double-barreled shotgun & shot it in the face.

"NO…!" Ocellus screamed but Silverstream & Sandbar covered her mouth but it was too late. The hunters heard it. The eye-patched stallion saw them.

"Contact rear! Contact rear!" He shouted as him & the hunters opened fire.

"Go, go!" Gallus screamed & the group ran but Ocellus stayed behind. Sandbar grabbed her hoof.

"C’mon, it’s too late."

"No, I can save him!" Ocellus resisted.

"You can’t save him! He’s dead! Ocellus, look at me!" Sandbar pulled her to his face. "Would he want you to die too?"

Ocellus couldn’t answer.

"Now c’mon!"

Thrust whistled as Ghost, Panthera, Tiger, & Red approached.

"Make absolutely sure they don’t come back…..alive," Thrust ordered the Atrociraptors. "Now go."

The Atrociraptors followed the Young-6. Then Thrust turned to the hunters.

"Tag them & bagged them, boys!"

The Young-6 ran or flew as if they’re lives depended on as the Atrociraptors gained on their tails. Yona panted as she’s slowing down but only for Sandbar & Silverstream held her while running. Then they reached a small waterfall. They turned around & saw the four dinosaurs approaching.

"We have to jump," Gallus suggested.

"Yona can’t swim!" Yona refused.

"It’ll be fine. Ready?" Sandbar held Yona.

"One…two…"

The Atrociraptors are approaching & they jumped into the air. But the group just jumped on time before the dinosaurs get them. They all fell & splashed below. The Atrociraptors bended down to look if they ever surface but they didn’t. The Atrociraptors ran back.

Below, the group finally surfaced. They swarm to the shore & catches their breath.

"We jumped…," Sandbar chuckled as the group chuckled too. But Ocellus weeped in despair.

"We could have saved him…"

"Ocellus, there’s nothing we’ve could have done," Sandbar told her.

"At least, he stood his ground & defended the herd, right?" Smolder added.

"And he also had a heroic death too," Silverstream added too.

"Yona no like seeing dino dead," Yona shake her head.

"We’re going back," Gallus declared.

"Back? To where?" asked Ocellus.

"To them."

"But why?"

"Let’s see what they’re up to first,"said Gallus.

"But shouldn’t we tell Twilight first?" asked Twilight.

"By the time we did, we will all be too late. C’mon."

The group were reluctant but followed him anyway.

The Young-6 peered from the bushes as they watched the hunters loading up their captives.

" Hurry it up!" one hunter shouted, shutting doors of the truck. Then the hunters drove away.

"Alright, let’s go," Sandbar declared. But Ocellus approached the dead Ankylosaurus. She sobbed uncontrollably. Then she picked up a flower & put it on its paw. Then she stroked its head & leaned her forehead against its. The group just stood & watched. Then Ocellus lifted her head & turned to the group.

"Let's get the children back."

They stealthily followed the hunters.

Night had fallen at the horizon as Young-6 stayed hidden while spying on the hunters’ camp. Viper came outta her tent & petted her Atrociraptors, much to Silverstream & Smolder’s disgust. Then Viper came to inspect the captive baby dinosaurs in a huge cage.

"Hmmm…they will do," she nodded. "Ratso."

Then an earth pony with a gold tooth & a rat as his Cutie-Mark appeared.

"Yes, ma’am,” he saluted.

"Guard these infants & and don’t let one escape, copy?"

"Yes ma’am, loud & clear." Ratso pushed the cage into the supply tent. A baby Gallimimus started to cry. Ratso then pulled out his baton from his belt & clanged the cage.

"Shut up, dirty little reptile."

Ratso walked into the tent.

The Young-6 witnessed the whole thing & crouched down into the hiding spot.

"So what’s the plan, Gallus?" asked Smolder.

"We’re gonna have to sneak in somehow," declared Gallus but everyone didn’t agree to that.

"What?! No way, what if they see us?" Sandbar refused. "They’re definitely gonna gun us down without any remorse."

"Well what do suggest we do?" asked Gallus. Then Yona’s got it.

"Yona got idea," Yona pointed her head.

"What is it?" asked Ocellus.

"Why not wait til bad ponies sleep then we sneak in, grab dino-babies, & ran?" suggested Yona. The group thought about it.

"If we're gonna take that plan, we gonna need have work fast," said Ocellus.

"But what do we do with those guys?" Silverstream pointed at the Atrociraptors.

"Yona will handle them," Yona smiled proudly.

Red was opening his mouth to yawn then a rock hit him. Red looked.

"Hey, get Yona if dino can!" Yona blew raspberry & made weird faces. Red growled & called for the others. Ghost, Panthera, & Tiger appeared. Yona ran as the Atrociraptors pursuited her. The Atrociraptors followed her & stopped.

"SURPRISE!" Ocellus in her Ursa Minor form smash a huge log at them & they fell into a small ditch. Ocellus transformed back. The group appeared.

"We need to hurry."

Later, an orange pegasus with yellow mane & a rifle stood near the woods. Then Smolder appeared behind him. She held a rock & smacked him in the head, knocking him out. She even took his rifle.

"C'mon," she signaled the others as they all entered the supply tent. They saw the cage with the infants. Ocellus motioned them to be quiet. Gallus & Sandbar tried to open the cage but won't budge.

"It's stuck," grunted Sandbar. Silverstream saw a crowbar & grabbed it.

"Use this," she handed the crowbar to Gallus & Sandbar. They strained for a while til the cage door bursted.

"Haha, got it!"

The baby dinosaurs quietly came out. They all exited the tent til Ratso came & saw them. They all were shock then Ratso started yelling.

"Viper...!"

Smolder, Silverstream, Gallus grabbed him before he could scream more. They pulled him inside the tent then Silverstream restrained his right arm while Gallus restrained his left. Smolder held him in the chokehold & covered his mouth shut. The others watched outside in case if the hunters are coming. Then Ratso passed out.

"Holies....that was close," breathed Smolder.

Silverstream slowly peeked out from the crates.

"It's clear," she motioned everyone. The Young-6 & the infants snuck through the camp quietly. Sandbar pointed to one of the trucks. Gallus nodded as him & the others lead the infants to the truck. Sandbar was about to climb up then Panthera pounced him.

"Get it off!" Sandbar tried to pushed Panthera off then Yona rammed her off. She helped Sandbar up & the other Atrociraptors appeared.

"Yona will hold them off. Get on truck."

The group & the infants climbed on as instructed. Then Tiger pounced on Yona's back.

"Yona will smash stupid lizard!" Yona growled & slammed Tiger against the crate. Yona rammed Ghost away. Then she kicked Red off. Then Yona climbed onto the truck.

"Quick, Sandbar, hotwire the truck!" Smolder shouted.

"But...but...," Sandbar was hesitant.

"Gimme that," Gallus hotwired for him as the truck started.

Then the blue pegasus mare with the short mane came outta her tent. She saw them.

"Hey!" she grabbed her bow & arrow & shot. The arrow shot Yona's back.

"Ah!" Yona collapsed.

"Yona!" The Young-6 screamed in horror. Silverstream & Ocellus pulled her in.

"We gotcha, Yona," said Silverstream.

"Sandbar, drive!" screamed Ocellus. Sandbar hesitantly pulled the swifter & stepped on the gear. The truck rolled out & crashed through the trees.

The short-maned pegasus with the bow grunted.

"Arrow Shot, what's going on?!" Viper appeared.

"Viper, the bounties has escaped," the pegasus, Arrow Shot, explained. Viper growled frustratedly & whistled. The Atrociraptors approached.

"Get them!"

And as I was saying from the beginning where we left off before Pinkie Pie interrupted me, Panthera, Ghost, & Smolder had a standoff on the roof of the truck. The Raptors circled Smolder. Smolder fearlessly glared at them before breathing flame at them but they dodged.

Meanwhile Red was running on the side of the truck, snapping his jaws at Sandbar. Sandbar rowed the truck left & Red got ran over by the wheels. Red tripped & fell.

Smolder & the two Atrociraptors encircled. Then Panthera jumped & pinned her down. Smolder struggled then kicked Panthera off the roof. Then Ghost pounced on her. Smolder growled as she held Ghost's jaws wipe opened. Then she shoot flames from her mouth into Ghost's mouth & knocked her off the truck.

The truck's backdoors were hung open while Tiger was catching up. Ocellus saw taser spears on the wall. She took one & tried to power it. Tiger was getting closer. The infant dinosaurs roared fearfully.

"Uh...Ocellus...," Gallus saw that Tiger was closing up.

"Almost got it," Ocellus was powering the spear.

"Ocellus....!" Silverstream warned her while holding Yona. Tiger jumped onto the truck then Ocellus finally activated the spear. Tiger chomped her mouth & Ocellus screamed & tased her. Tiger was zapped & fell off the truck. Ocellus was stunned for what she did. Then Smolder climbed back in.

"What I missed?" she asked.

"Ocellus tased the dino," Gallus replied.

"Aww sweet! Good job, Ocellus!" she playfully punched Ocellus in the shoulder.

"I can't wait to tell Twilight," Silverstream cheered.

"Oh please do not tell Twilight about that, ever!" begged Sandbar as he drove the truck towards the School of Friendship.

Twilight was at the fountain in the school with worried face. Then Applejack & Rainbow came.

"Did you find them," asked Twilight, desperately.

"Nah, Twi, ah looked everywhere," Applejack shook her head.

"Not in their room or in the campus," added Rainbow. Twilight sighed & shook hr head.

"Where could they be?"

Then the truck crushed the fountain, scaring Twilight & the others.

"What in tarnation?" gasped Applejack. The truck door was kicked open as Sandbar dizzily came out.

"Alright, guys. This is my first & last time I driving a car."

The others exited themselves while the infants followed them. Silverstream & Smolder helped Yona up. Then they meet with their teachers.

"What happened?" Twilight asked sternly. The group didn't know how to explain.

"The dinosaur babies were kidnapped by the hunters & we just saved them," Sandbar the whole story at once. Twilight, Applejack, & Rainbow were speechless.

"And Yona got shot in the process," Sandbar concluded.

"Really?" Gallus frowned.

"Yona got shot?!" Twilight exclaimed. Smolder & Silverstream sheepishly smiled while Yona finally woke up.

"Huh?! What happened?!"

Back at the hunters' camp, Ratso was held by the eye-patched stallion & Russian accented pegasus while his face was bruised up.

"You let them escaped, you fool," Viper growled.

"It won't happen again, ma'am," Ratso begged. "I promise you."

Viper approached him.

"Berserker, Lightning Strike, leave him," Viper order them. The ponies named Berserker & Lightning Strike let go of him. Viper bended down.

"I know it won't."

Then a small growl was heard. A small creature emerged from the dark. It was a quadrupedal sabre-tooth reptile, measuring 3 or 4 foot from the shoulder. It was a Gorgonops.

"No, no, Viper please," Ratso begged as Viper, Berserker, Lightning left without remorse.

"Eat well, Doug," said Viper. The Gorgonops named Doug then mauled Ratso as the pony screamed in agony.

Twilight steps on a grassy ground then she twirls in the air with a chuckle.

Twilight: Hahaha

Then she was joined by the Mane 5 & Spike as they all do some anime-like dance in the air

The CMCs run happily with Trike, a baby Stegosaurus with a tiara on its head, and a Carnotaurus with a collar on its neck.

Blue looked up curiously.

The Young-6 stand dramatically.

And Owen, Claire, & Maisie watch Ponyville on the hilltop.

The Mane 6 & Spike do a little anime-like dancing in the air before they all landed on the ground, watching a starry night as Twilight held them all close.
