This Secret Life of Mine
A Son's Secret
Load Full StoryNext ChapterThe sounds of the club blared and thumped with the sounds of heavy bass. Mares and Stallions dancing their cares away, each beat of the music melting away that day’s stress. If you looked around you would see many couples enjoying the night, regardless if they’ve been together for Celestia knows how long or enjoying a casual fling for the night.
“So Sapphire, no hooking up with your coltfriend tonight?” The bartender, a young mare asked. Grey fur, red eyes, a unicorn much like the mare she was talking to, She was wearing her work uniform a typical uniform you wore at these sort of places, a white short sleeved buttoned up shirt, red vest jacket, a very short black skirt, dark tights and a set of 1 inch heels.
In short, she was a cute little thing, not too busty but her rear made up for it in my opinion.
“No it's just me and a few drinks tonight Hazel.” She answered, “Parents are gonna be making a visit soon. I don’t want them asking any questions. So you might not see me next week.”
“Ah shame.” Hazel replied, “They still haven’t figured it out?” She shook her head no and gave a small, wry smile.
“They never will if I had my way.” She paused, “They wouldn’t approve…”
It was early morning, birds chirping and the light of dawn glaring in my eyes.
“Ugh…” I groaned, I glanced at the clock. “6:30 am…typical…well at least there’s no hangover this time.”
I yawned and stretched, hearing and audible pop as I stretched. I got up, showered and started my morning ritual. I looked in the mirror and did a quick summary of my current appearance.
I was a bit on the short side at least for a stallion, I was easily as taller than the average mare but not by much. I had ice blue eyes, faint pale blue fur, a dusty blonde mane with light blue streaks in and a matching tail. I was build with a lean frame with slightly wide hips. I laughed remembering all the femcolt comments I’ve gotten in the past.
All in all I was just your typical shy geeky stallion.
“Alright Silent enough staring into the mirror.” I muttered to myself, an old habit I never quite broke, “Time to get dressed and time to get to class.”
The journey there was mostly uneventful, the occasional sight of one or two ponies stumbling home still somewhat drunk from the night before no doubt.
I shook my head, I guessed they liked to party a bit too hard. Though to be fair I’ve done that a fair few times myself…gotta love the walk of shame. I couldn’t help but chuckle, I knew exactly what my mother would say if she saw me like that.
I managed to get to class earlier than expected, and noticed a group of stallions huddled over muttering to themselves. Curious I glanced at what they were obsessing over.
One of them was showing a picture on their phone. More specifically it was picture of a rather attractive mare. A unicorn, dusty blonde mane and tail with light blue streaks, ice blue eyes that held a certain warmth to them. She was certainly curvy, wide hips with a backside to match and a very noticeable bust. She was wearing a short dark blue dress and matching heels, some cute heart shaped earrings, with a matching one on her black choker. She had a hint of make up on from what I could tell.
“Dude that’s her I’m telling you.” One of the stallions spoke up, “She’s the mare we’ve been hearing about.”
“Wait the one from those rumours?” Another asked, and his friend confirmed it.
“Hey Silent you’ve heard about her right?” One of them asked, noticing I was looking at the photo.
“Yeah I’ve heard about her,” I paused and shrugged, “Who hasn’t at this point, that rumour has been going for nearly a few months now.”
“Yeah, but this is the best photo of her we’ve managed to get.” This sparked my interest. The rumour itself wasn’t much. It was just about this mysterious mare in the photo, how no one on campus seemed to know where she came from. You would usually find her in one of the local clubs on the weekend enjoying a drink or hanging out with a friend.
There’s even a few people who’s claimed to have slept with her, though from what I’ve heard only one person could claim that to be true.
“Huh?” I looked at the photo closer, “Is that right?”
“Yeah, we’ve been trying to figure out who she is for ages now, but by the moon this mare does not want to be found.” Another of the group exclaimed.
“Just let her have her privacy.” I replied, “If she doesn’t want to be found, then she doesn’t want to be found for a reason.”
I walked off and sat down. It’s not the first time I’ve heard someone trying to figure out who she is.
My classes went by quickly, nothing too interesting just the everyday things most unicorns had to take as a mandatory part of the advanced enchanting course I was currently taking.
My phone began to ring…
“Hello?” A pause, “Oh hi Mom. Yeah I’ll still be able to meet you at the train station tomorrow.” Another pause, “Mom I’m doing fine, I’m just meeting up with a friend today, I’ve not long finished class.”
I sighed as Mom went on with her usual rant.
“Mom, I’m only 20.” I replied, “I want to finish university before I even think of settling down.” She continued on with her usual argument, “No Mom I won’t change my mind.” After a few more minutes she said goodbye and I was left alone with my thoughts.
“Everytime…” I shook my head, “I know she worries, but does she really think rushing into a relationship would be the best option for me?”
My mother was a bit of a strange one, she was kind and sweet but she was the type who insisted I settled down and raised a family. She didn’t approve of my choice of going into university and we’ve had plenty of arguments over her wanting me to take over the family business.
My parents ran a small but successful cafe in ponyville which my mother inherited from her father, and to be honest I had no real interest in taking over. Nothing against it, I just wasn’t interested in taking over.
I had my own life to live and well…let’s just say I know my parents wouldn’t approve since they both wanted me to settle down with some nice mare…
I finally got home, a small but affordable apartment that I rented with what I earned from my job. The irony wasn’t lost on me about what I did to earn a living considering how my mother and I clash over that cafe.
I stepped into my bedroom, I had to get ready for my shift at work…I had to cover for one of my co-workers who called in sick today.
“Lets see…” I mused as I cast my usual charms, “I think a ponytail will work today.” The charm was cast, I shrank down in height a bit, my mane lengthened as I tied it back into how I usually wore it.
My face softened, not that I really needed to but it didn’t hurt to be sure. I did my make up, just a light mix of a blue mascara that was slightly darker than my fur, and some eye-liner, followed by a pale pink lipstick that gave my lips a nice shimmer in the light.
“Ah I almost forgot…” I muttered in my now feminine voice, I cast another charm and felt my chest swell, my waist narrow and my hips widen. My stallionhood shrank down and slowly changed into what it should have been in the first place.
I put on my choker, lace bra and panties. I posed a bit just to make sure I put them on properly…those straps were a pain sometimes.
“My parents would kill me if they knew…” I sighed, “I’ve been doing this since I moved out…Sorry Mom but I gotta be me…”
I changed into my work uniform and left my apartment, and headed for work.
“So Sapphire, you’re telling me they managed to get a picture of you?” I nodded, “They must have took it when I was at the club last night…I suppose it was only a matter of time.”
“I’m surprised they haven’t made the connection already.” My co-worker Frost spoke up, he was easily taller than I was, a well built pegasus with snowy white fur and fiery orange mane with a dark blue streak in one of the bangs, and very expressive green eyes.
“Well maybe I’m just that good at hiding it.” I added with a cheeky smile, “Are you really gonna confuse the shy geeky stallion for a mare like me?” I got a little closer and pushed my generous breasts against his chest. “The only reason you know is that I told you after our third date…and you know how much of a mare I am, I’m your mare after all.”
He blushed, obviously remembering that particular night. I giggled and brought him back to reality.
“C’mon honey,” I started, “We’ve got a job to do.”
The shift was more of the same, the occasional bit of small talk with customers, serving drinks and food. We had our usual customers who were asking how I was doing.
By the time we had to close down, I sat down and sighed. Today was a bit busier than usual, but that was too be expected with the summer weather.
“You okay there Sapphire?” Frost asked me, I just let out a small laugh and gave him a small warm smile. “What’s so funny?”
“My Mom would laugh if she saw me working in a cafe.” I explained, “After all the times I told her I wasn’t interested in running the family business. If she knew she wouldn’t let me live it down.”
“Oh…I know she doesn’t know about this…” Frost replied, “Or us for that matter.” I sighed.
“I know…She’s practically demanding I find some nice mare to settle down with and run that damned cafe.” I continued, “I wish I could tell her, but…well I’ve already told you she’s a traditionalist.”
“Ah…” Frost spoke up as he poured us both a coffee, “Yes I remember, if she knew she’d throw a fit.”
“Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind other mares, but in all honesty I’m much more interested in other stallions.” I gave him a smirk, “But I’m sure you know that already.” I turned serious for a moment, “The only reason I still attend my classes as a stallion is just to keep up appearances, I’d be attending as a mare if I had my way.”
“Didn’t you have to declare it in your records that you’re…” Frost inquired. I nodded.
“Mm-hmm, I had to…” I paused to take a sip of my coffee, “Otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to get this job without getting into trouble. I’m just glad my mother isn’t the type to look into my private documents, she’s my next of kin on them…y’know in case of emergencies.” I explained, “Speaking of my mother I’ll be picking her up tomorrow from the train station.”
“So the usual plan when you have to do your shifts next week.” he asked, I nodded, “Alright, you’ve already got the spare key.” I checked the time, and frowned.
“Looks like I’ve got to go…” I stated, “As much as I’d like to go home with you honey, I’ve got make sure my more…personal belongings are out of my mom’s sight.” I gave my coltfriend a quick kiss goodnight and left back to my apartment.
