After being absent from the town for a short while, Twilight and the others discover everypony from Ponyville to have vanished. With only a wheel track to follow (for now, at least), they have to travel through the whole land of Equestria, and maybe even beyond, to find their missing friends.

Based on the canon (mostly), but will set somewhat of a new reality afterwards with the introduction of certain... new elements.
