Facing dangers
There are times when one must consider which is more important. One's own health or the life of the one you're with. While it is easy to believe that self survival is important. When one is willing to face danger with or for others, their bond grows quickly. Depending on how the events end, the bond between the friends can shater, grow stronger or even grow closer.

Zipp bit her lip as she followed the guards down the path. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that Blitz was scanning the area as they made their way through the trees. She was glad that he didn't trust what was going on. But she was a little put off that it seemed like he didn't think she'd be able to defend herself. Or was he just doing his part in keeping an eye out for trouble?

Sighing she looked ahead at the two guys as they stopped at a split in the path. Stopping, she raised an eyebrow as the two looked at each other blankly before looking down both paths before smiling back at them.

"Good news. We're almost there." The guards announced as they once again took turns speaking. "We can even take a break at a lovely flower patch." "Or if you insist, we can go straight past the flowerbed."

Zipp sighed and rolled her eyes before pushing past them. "Let's get going. Sooner we get to Maretime Bay. The better."

Blitz nodded as he kept an eye on the guards. However as they got to a clearing, Zipp's stomach growled. "Maybe it'd be best if we stop for some food." She sighed.

As the guards led them over to a picnic, Blitz let out a low growl as he followed them. Neither was aware of a soft voice that drifted through the air.

Hitch sat at his desk as he looked at his phone. It was surprising to see the guards acting so strange. He didn't know what was going on but thought he had to keep watching to find out. At least to make sure his friend was OK.

As he watched them sit at the picnic, his ear twitched, and he licked his lips.for she odd reason he was actually getting hungry. But he didn't know what he wanted right away.

Just then the door opened as an energetic unicorn entered the station. "Hi ya, Hitch!" She called. "Are you watching the video? Who knew pegasi can be so creepy." She giggled as she sat next to him.

"You and me both. But something tells me there's more that's going on." Hitch replied as he watched the screen. "Do you hear that strange voice?"

"What voice?" Izzy asked as she leaned closer.

Hitch took a deep breath in shock at her sudden movement and caught a whiff of her mane. The scent of cotton candy filled his nostrils, along with a second scent that came from a different part of her. "It… sounds like someone is trying to say something." He managed to say before pushing her back to get some space and hopefully regain some composure.

"Really? Like what?" She asked, easily hiding her confusion at being pushed away. To her credit, she did a very good job at hiding the fact he had pushed her. But more importantly she was hiding the fact that she was hoping for a different reaction.

Hitch put his ear to the phone and listened closely. "Sounds like… return what's lost… and something about a ritual." He replied before pausing. "Wait… the missing ponies." He gasped as he sat up in shock. "I think I know what happened."

Sunny sighed as she sat with Pipp and her mom as the two talked about Zipp and her new friend. She couldn't fully follow all of what they were saying. But she did notice they were making several comments about her being next in line and kids.

Sunny rolled her eyes at the thought of them playing matchmaker with her and expecting kids in the process. Her ear twitched as a nearly unnoticeable sound came from her phone. Looking up she blinked in shock at seeing the queen flick her tail at some passing stallions. And Pipp glanced at her from time to time.

"Ok… something is definitely going on." Sunny sighed as she turned to leave. "I need to go check on the others. Maybe Izzy has some ideas."

Zipp seems like a nice pony. She has a cool main style and seems to have gone to the castle for similar reasons as I did. Talking to her is fun. And she makes me laugh. I wonder if this is what the elder meant by new friends makes you feel special. The guards on the other claw are rather dull. I wonder if she'd get mad if I asked her to leave them behind next time we hang out.
