//-------------------------------------------------------// Flames of Friendship -by Conato- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prolong //-------------------------------------------------------// Prolong Dragons. A once feared ruler of the sky and land. Near the end of the rule of Princess Twilight, they seemingly vanished from Equestria. Little was known to the ponies as to why. The only truth they knew was that they vanished around the same time that magic did. Many moons and generations pass as the knowledge of dragons slowly slipped from the minds of the ponies of Equestria. Little did anypony know. The dragons hadn't truly vanished. Instead, they had gone into hiding. Taking with them they took knowledge gifted by the Princess. Along with the dragons, several other creatures took refuge in a secret cave system. And throughout the generations, unexpected couples formed. Though the title of Dragon Lord became more of a title held by one family. The principles they learned from the ponies held. Little did any of them know. The day the world would learn of their existence would come with the return with an old friend. An old purple dragon laid in his cave as he watched a group of young students as they waited eagerly for his big announcement. "Can we get this over with?" One of the students huffed. "We all know who's missing." She let out a huff. "He's probably taking a nap somewhere." "I wouldn't be surprised if that lazy dork fails." Another added. "I know right? We're supposed to be studying for our finals." A third sighed. "Why can't he actually come to class like the rest of us?" "Don't know. But he's definitely not earning any points in loyalty." One remarked. "Not to mention him lying about his dad wanting him to help bring fish to the other elders." The purple dragon huffed and glared at them before turning to the mouth of his cave. He couldn't help but to smile as memories rushed through his head. There definitely was something about that rascal that reminded him of some old friends. Deep in the cave, a young drac stood next to a large reflective crystal and looked himself over. "Looking good." He remarked proudly before running a claw over his ember spine. "Hopefully the elder doesn't mind, I took a look outside again." He paused for a moment and gulped. "Hopefully dad isn't mad either." Taking a deep breath he reached up and brushed his fur. "Sometimes I hate having a coat." He groaned. "Even if it's lava proof. It's still a pain to clean sometimes." With a shrug, he started to make his way to the main cavern where he was expecting an angry group. As he was rounding the corner to enter the cavern, he froze and looked around in confusion. "Who's there?" Turning, he noticed a crystal pillar and looked closely at it. "What was it the elder said…" Sighing, he pulled back and shook his head. "Forget about it." He let out a sigh and turned to continue his walk. "Magic hasn't been in Equestria for moons." He laughed at the thought. "Not that it wouldn't be cool if it returned." He paused again and glanced back at the crystal. "Maybe they'd let me out if the stories were true." He sighed. "Maybe it'd be able to convince them." Taking a deep breath he walked into the main cave. As he had expected, his father was waiting for him. But to his surprise wasn't mad. After a quick talk about what the purple elder told him, his father gathered a few things and granted him his wish to explore the outside world. One tearful farewell later, he started his journey. Journal entry day one Father has finally let me explore the world outside the cave. I'm really excited about camping under Luna's stars and watching Celestia's sun rise in the morning. I only hope that I'll be able to find somepony left in the legendary town. Or at least some kind of hint as to where they disappeared to. It might take time. But I will get there and hopefully the stories won't be proven a lie the elders came up with to make us behave. I'll try to write more if and when something interesting happens. And hopefully something does. Author's Note First official chapter will include a lot of stuff that likely will go against what is canin. But I don't care. I'm working off the movie and gen 4 information. So heads up. The towns mentioned in the movie are NOT Canterlot and Ponyville. But are on the east coast of Equestria. Also the "Tree of harmony" in the movie isn't the true tree of harmony. (For what I hope is obvious reasons) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 The young dragon spent a full day enjoying his time above ground. Rolling in grass and swimming in the nearest lake he was able to find. After making a quick note of his experience that he left at the mouth of the hidden cave, he made his way to his first and primary destination. Several days passed as he wrote down in his journal about the new things he saw and the animals he met along the way. Sadly he noticed that there was a lack of other creatures that he was able to talk to. At the start of his third week of his travel through Equestria, he saw a strangely failure hill. Digging through his bags, he pulled out an old map and scanned it. After a moment he rolled it up and pranced in place as he let out an excited squeal before galloping over the hill. "I can't believe I found Sweet Apple Acres!" He cheered as he passed the remains of a barn. "Or what's left of it. I finally found…" He slid to a stop as he reached a hill overlooking a town and looked in shock and heartbreak. "Ponyville." Sitting on his haunches he took a deep breath and sighed. Looking at the town he saw how time had dealt a lethal blow to the town and how natur had taken over. Gulping, he got up and slowly made his way into town. With each step, his heart sank. But with the sight of the crystal castle still standing. He still had hope that something of the past had survived. And just as he was about to open the door, a strange sensation passed through him. As if a flame that had lay dormant in him bursted into life. Not only that but somehow it felt as though the castle had taken a deep breath. Gulping he opened the door and entered. For the time being, this would be his home he decided. At least until he had explored every corner of the castle. Several hours passed as he looked around and noted what each room had. After finding what he guessed was the library, he sat and looked through some of the books in hope to learn what life was like before magic vanished. Even though the library was big and learning about the past was a bit exciting, he still had rooms he wanted to look into. With a deep sigh he left the books for later and went to the next room he had yet to look into. And what he found was all the prof he needed that the legends were real. "The map." He gasped as he calmly approached the large table. "This is so awesome!" Curious about the chairs, he sat in a random chair and looked at the table. "I wonder if it really works… or has too much time passed without magic?" He placed a claw on the table and quickly jerked away as the table lit up. Blinking he looked at it in wonder as a voice seemed to whisper to him. "What? I can't do that. I'm only part dragon. Besides, dragons haven't been able to breathe fire for… like a very long time." He countered. After a moment of thought he narrowed his eyes at the table. "Wait a second… glowing table… disembodied voice…" Blinking in realization he heard the voice confirm his suspension. Shrugging he took a deep breath and felt the flame in him grow. And in a single breath covered the table in a bright red flame for a few moments. Landing back in the chair, he caught his breath and watched as the flames were pulled into the table, moments before a purple mare appeared with a smile standing on the table turned map. "Hello your majesty. I have been waiting a long time to meet you." She said softly with a bow. He on the other claw sat there with a look of complete shock on his face. Author's Note The first official chapter of his adventure is up and ending on a bombshell. With how the show ended, I thought this would be an interesting way to tie things together. And I'll admit, it was a bit fun doing this chapter. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 The purple glowing mare introduced herself as the Spirit of Harmony. "I feared that when the magic of this land was locked away. This place and I would be forgotten. But I am happy to have been proven wrong. Thankfully the keys that I helped the princess make were reunited." "Wait. Locked up? Keys?" The young dragon sat as his head started to hurt from the unexpected flood of information. "I don't understand. I thought the princess made the crystals to hold the magic. And when the tribes separated, the magic disappeared." The spirit smiled and shook her head. "It is understandable that you would see it that way. But what many have forgotten. Magic can not simply disappear. In order to protect it and those that live on Equest. We had to lock it away. And the only place that much magic can safely be held is within the very roots that gave this land the Elements of Harmony." "You mean the tree?" "Correct." She confirmed. "My roots extend far and are unbreakable with the magic changeling within them." She turned and looked off to the distance. "Now that Harmony has returned. I can feel the magic flowing as it was meant to. And no longer locked away." "So… now that magic has returned. What does that mean for you?" He asked softly. Sighing, she shook her head. "I will likely remain with the tree and the castle." She replied. "I will not hold up hope for others to return. But as I have to those before you. I wish to welcome you to the tree and to return here whenever you wish." Smiling, he got up and ran a claw over the table. "I kinda wish you weren't just a ghost. I would give you a hug for all that you've done for us over the years." "As a wise mare once said. I am full of surprises. As I grow, I change and will be able to do more amazing things." She replied before giving a playful wink. Journal entry day 100 I sat with the spirit of harmony and found out that the three tribes moved to locations along the east coast. I didn't understand why. But it doesn't really matter. What was interesting was that the pegasi were the ones that had a queen. Not only that, but two of her offspring traveled between two locations. And likely saw my excited burst of fire. There's no doubt that someone will arrive by tomorrow. Thankfully the spirit told me there was a room that was marked that had been kept in perfect condition from the last time it was used… by the elder. I excitedly thanked her and found the room. I'll explore it after I get some sleep. The next morning, the young dragon spent a few minutes exploring the room. Even though it was emptied of anything the original resident had. He did find several things the previous resident had left in their rush. One thing he found was a picture of five creatures that looked like they were great friends. Along with a few gems he found in the nightstand. He was only able to guess that the dragon in the picture was the one who stayed in the room before him. Taking a few gems as a snack, he made his way out to the map room to find a group of pegasus guards looking around in wonder as a mare examined the table. Clearing his throat, he stepped into the room. As everypony turned to face him, their eyes widened in shock at what they saw. "Welcome to the Castle of Friendship." He announced. "If you want to learn about its history. I can show you to the library." The guards stood in shock as they kept their guards up. The mare however slowly stepped past them, using her wing to single them to stand down. "Thanks. Name's Zipp." She looked him over for a moment and smirked. "I never saw anything like you before." "Blitz. I'm part dragon." He replied. "I'd rather not get into it." He laughed nervously before motioning with a wing. "It's not far." Zipp smiled and followed him as her mind rushed with possible reasons of how he was part dragon. Not only that. But was there a way she could rub this in her sister's face? After all she would do the same in seconds given the chance. Now that she thought about it. Getting a selfie with him would be a great start. Moving up next to him, she smiled as a plan formed in her mind. As well as other thoughts she rather not say out loud. "Say… want to see something cool?" Seeing him nod she pulled out her phone. "It's called a phone. It lets me stay in touch with friends over a long distance. Pluss." She put a hoof over his shoulder and pulled him close as the other held the phone up. "It takes pictures." She said before snapping a short and letting him go. He watched in amazement as she brought up the picture before smiling. "That's neat. And really useful. Question is…" He said as they got to a pair of large doors. "Will it have space for this?" He asked, pushing the door open to reveal the library. Zipp's jaw dropped as he flew into the middle of the room and smiled back at her. "How long did you say you were going to be in town?" Author's Note Not much to say about this chapter. But I think there's quite a bit that is coming up. And Friendship is only the beginning. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 The two started looking through the books. Zipp focused on mostly history, while Blitz sat back and looked at a book about a mare that went into tombs and fought bandits. Between history books she paused to hear about the mare and the exciting adventures. "Sounds like fiction. Why was it in the history section?" "Probably a historical story." He replied. "Still pretty cool though." The two laughed as they continued reading as the guards brought food. Taking a break to eat, Zipp told him about how far technology has evolved. Blitz was amazed, and sat next to her as she showed off the phone. An idea came to him and he quickly flew to one of the shelves, moments before the phone rang. Expecting one of her friends, Zipp opened her phone without looking and as she called one of the guards to be careful with the books, she answered the phone. She froze when she saw her mother smiling at her. "Mom. What a surprise. Is everything okay?" "It is now." She replied happily. "I was just thinking of visiting you and your sister. And when I arrived, I found out that you had already left. I was so worried about what had happened to you. How are you? Did you bring protection? Are you eating well?" At that moment she noticed Blitz. "Who is that?" Zipp blinked and looked around acting as if she didn't know what her mom was talking about. When she looked back at the phone her sister was on the screen as well. Before she was able to say anything her sister spoke up. "Who's that?" She asked. "Who?... oh. Him?" Zipp replied sheepishly. "His name's Blitz. And he-" "Why don't you bring him to the lighthouse?" Her sister suggested. "How well do you two know each other?" Her mom asked. "Do you know what kind of things he likes?" Her sister added. "Look." Zipp snapped to get their attention. "We just met. And he's already interested in visiting. As he's a pretty chill guy. And we have some major news for you guys when we get back." Both mares gasped. "Have you two-" her mom started. As if sensing what she was implying, Zipp cut her off with a sharp and a little too loud, "No!" She quickly smiled and laughed nervously looking over at Blitz who stopped looking to glance over in concern. "Sorry for startling you… just talking to family." Seeing him smile and shrug before going back to his search, she turned back to her phone and lowered her voice. "What makes you think we did anything like that? The news is about the place I went to investigate." She hissed. The two smiled sheepishly as the sister gave her a mischievous grin. "So… you wouldn't mind if one of us went out with him?" Zipp rolled her eyes and huffed. "Good luck." Sighing, she noticed the guards had a cart of things Blitz apparently wanted to take with them. "I should go. It's getting late and he still needs to show us where the bedrooms are." Giving them a final goodbye, she shut her phone and looked at the book she was about to read. "Dragons and Ponies. Family guide for interspecies relationships. By Smolder" Taking a deep breath, she was about to leave it behind. But as she was about to fly over to Blitz, she bit her lip and slipped the book into her bag for later… study. Blitz walked them down the hall as he explained the markings and what each room was. Zipp had to admit that it was rather clever to etch a marker for what each room was. After showing the guards a room they were able to use, he went a few doors down and opened the door for Zipp and offered her what looked like a royalty sweet for her to sleep. After glancing into the room Zipp turned to Blitz who was already making his way down the hallway. "Where are you staying?" She asked softly. "Oh… here." He said as he opened a door that was not too far away. "Don't worry. You should be fine." Zipp flew over and glanced into the much smaller room. "Wow. That's…" "It's fine. You'd be surprised about how small the caves can get." He laughed. Zipp bit her lip and looked back at her room. "You know… the room you gave me is rather big… plus I have a spare sleeping bag. So…. If you want. You can stay with me and we can sleep on separate sides of the room if that's OK with you." Blitz rubbed his chin in thought before smiling. "Why don't we get the guards and sleep in the study or one of the other big rooms?" Smiling Zipp nodded and flew over to the guards to let them know about the plan. A part of her wanted to feel how old Equestrian beds felt. But it felt better knowing her new friend wasn't alone in that small room. Or her in that monster of a room. After setting up the sleeping bags in the study, they shared a few laughs before calling it a night. It wasn't long before Zipp slipped the book out and started flipping through it to find out what it said. Relationship study It may not sound it. But ponies and dragons have a lot in common. In fact it is possible for couples to quickly form between two potential partners. More if the pony agrees to go by dragon customs. These bonds start young. And if not ended early, can quickly blossom into something more. See romantic studies for more information. Author's Note Drama bomb! Looks like Pipp saw something she liked. And their mom isn't against the idea. Lol And now that Zipp is learning secrets of the past. I wonder how far their friendship will go. Or will Zipp cut it off at that and let one of her friends hook up with him? Sooooo many possibilities. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 The following morning Zipp and the guards prepared to travel back to Maretime Bay. With the books Blitz gathered for them, there was plenty of new information for them to share with the other ponies in town. Even in the other towns once they get the different books copied. Zipp sat and watched the guards before glancing over at Blitz. "So… you want to see what pony life is like now?" "I would. But…" He paused and stood so she got a good look at his body. "I don't know if they'd be cool with something like me just trotting down the street." Zipp rubbed the back of her neck. "Well… my mom and sister already saw you. And by the time we get there. There'll be plenty of ponies that would like to meet you." Blitz thought about what she said as they made their way to the front door where the guards waited with the carts. "It's up to you if you want to come with us." Blitz looked back into the castle and saw the glowing mare on the map through the open doors as she smiled and nodded. Turning to Zipp, he smiled and nodded. "I'd like that." Zipp and Blitz led the way as the guards pulled the carts. See camping activities for more information Journal entry day 102 After we packed books about Equestria before the separation. And a few chosen books for each of us and Zipp's friends, we headed out to start our journey to the place called Maretime Bay. From what they said. We'll be there in a day or two. As long as the weather remains favorable. Most of the walk was spent talking about how life was like as Blitz and Zipp grew up. They even shared a few laughs along the way. "And then he said. That's not a rock. That's my sister!" Blitz finished. Zipp laughed as the guards prepared the tents. Looking at the setting sun, he let out a soft sigh. "I guess you don't get to see many sunsets or sunrises in a cave." Zipp sighed as she sat with him, looking at the sunset. "No… but the gems do a nice job at reflecting light to us." He laughed. The guards sat back and smirked at each other before going into one of the tents. "It's getting late." Blitz pointed out. "You should get some sleep." "What about you?" Zipp countered. "It's going to get cold." Blitz smiled and blew a flame at the dying campfire. "I think I'll be fine." Zipp smirked and rolled her eyes. "Very funny. But I still think you should sleep in-" She froze when she noticed only two tents were up and the guards had already taken one of them. "We can share the tent… somehow." Blitz looked between her and the tent before sighing. "You're not going to let this go. Are you?" "Nope." Zipp replied with a smirk. "You might be able to breathe fire. But that doesn't mean you won't get cold." Sighing, he smiled at her and nodded. "Fine. You win. I'll share the tent with you." As the two entered the tent, the guards poked their heads out to see what was happening before slipping back into the tent. "You think we're overstepping our boundaries?" "Well… we did just make it so they shared a tent." Shrugging, the guards curled up in their sleeping bags. "Let's hope Zipp doesn't kill us for hiding the other sleeping bags." Zipp and Blitz looked around in the hut. It was clear that they wouldn't be using sleeping bags. Because there wasn't any. Taking a deep breath Zipp turned to Blitz with a nervous smile. "Looks like there's a slight problem. I'll see if I can dig out the other bags." As soon as Zipp stepped out of the tent she glared at the guards' tent as she made her way to the wagons and looked through them. After a few minutes she sighed in defeat and returned to her tent, plotting a punishment for them and them pulling this trick. "No luck?" Blitz asked. Zipp sighed and sat in the door. "Sadly no." She sighed. "Hopefully the tent will keep out most of the cold." Blitz moved to the center of the tent and laid down, extending his wing. "Best not take any chances." Zipp blinked in shock before laying next to him letting him wrap his wing around her. "Thank you Blitz…" "No problem. This should keep you warm." He said softly. He did his best to ecnor the fact that he was now alone with a mare. And not only that, but he was also pressed against her. Zipp for her part was trying to pretend she was anywhere but pressed against a guy. It took some effort on both parts, but they managed to fall asleep. Author's Note And so the trip to Maretime Bay begins. I wonder what what will happen when they arrive. Or what will happen before they arrive. So many possibilities. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 Camping activities Outside of eating together. One of the most special things couples can do is sleep together. However, one must remember to make boundaries and remind each other that it was a simple sleepover the next morning. One must also be aware of the dangers of camping and traveling together. See facing dangers together for more information. Zipp woke the following morning. She had a wonderful dream that she was racing through the sky on the trail of a mysterious creature. What was odd about it was the amount of heart shaped things involved. Right when she was about to find out what it was, she woke up. Taking a deep breath she looked around and noticed Blitz was sitting at the mouth of the tent. Thinking for a moment she got up and moved next to him and smiled as she sat with him. "You're up early." "I thought it'd be better if someone stood watch." He replied with a soft smile. "Sleep well?" She shrugged. "Not exactly. My blanket went missing." She teased. "Sorry Zipp." He sighed. "I didn't want you to feel… awkward about waking up with a guy." Zipp blushed as she looked to the other tent. "I guess you have a point. But I wouldn't mind waking up with a friend." Blitz cleared his throat and looked down the path they were traveling. "Well if we keep up our pace. We'll be able to make it to our destination before sunset." "Yeah. But we are going to be traveling through a rather dangerous part of the forest." Zipp sighed. "We can go around. But it'll take an extra day at least." "Why is it so dangerous?" He asked. "Rumor has it ponies have gone missing in that area." Zipp explained. "And the ones that did reappear had changed." Blitz thought for a moment before smirking. "Well… it's a good thing you have guards and a dragon to protect you." "Well… I guess you have a point. Why don't you wake the guys. We can decide on the plan over breakfast." Zipp suggested. Nodding Blitz trotted over and poked his head into the tent as Zipp got breakfast together. After a few moments the guys came over and joined her. It didn't take long for them to come up with a plan. The guards finished quickly before heading out to scout ahead as Zipp and Blitz packed up the campsite. They planned to only be gone for about an hour. However, after the second hour passed, Zipp and Blitz became concerned. Zipp took a deep breath and hooked herself to the cart as Blitz followed her, keeping his eyes and ears on his surroundings. Neither of them said it. But they hoped they just got tangled up. "Do you think they got lost?" Blitz asked. "Doubt it… or at least I hope not." Zipp replied. "If we don't find them soon. We may need to get a larger group together." After a few minutes of traveling through the forest they saw the guards standing in the path. "Looks like we found them." Blitz noted. "Yeah. But somethings off about them." Zipp added as she narrowed her eyes at them. "We found a shortcut." One guard said flatly. "Yes. This way." His comrade added. Zipp and Blitz looked at each other in confusion before looking down the path the guards pointed at. Nodding they silently agreed to keep their guards up. As added protection, Zipp sent her sister a text before switching her phone to livestream what was happening to the private friend chat group. Smiling, they followed the stallions down the path in hopes to find out what was happening. Pipp sat at her desk as she looked at her phone and sighed. "I can't believe Zipp found a stallion that hot before me." She huffed. "And he's a hunk to boot." "Do you mean Blitz?" Sunny asked as she trotted over to sit with her. "I just got a text that him and Zipp are looking into what's causing the ponies to change." She explained pulling out her phone. "She's even broadcasting it in our group chat." Blinking Pipp looked at her phone and switched to the video. "I see. But I can't really tell where they are." "Let's just hope they can figure it out and get back safely." Sunny sighed. "You think the others know about the video?" Pipp asked. "Knowing Izzy? They know." Sunny laughed. Author's Note The down side of when magic returns to a world unfamiliar with it. There's places that have dark stories about them. Question is... what is the truth behind this one? //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 7 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 7 Facing dangers There are times when one must consider which is more important. Zipp bit her lip as she followed the guards down the path. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that Blitz was scanning the area as they made their way through the trees. She was glad that he didn't trust what was going on. But she was a little put off that it seemed like he didn't think she'd be able to defend herself. Or was he just doing his part in keeping an eye out for trouble? Sighing she looked ahead at the two guys as they stopped at a split in the path. Stopping, she raised an eyebrow as the two looked at each other blankly before looking down both paths before smiling back at them. "Good news. We're almost there." The guards announced as they once again took turns speaking. "We can even take a break at a lovely flower patch." "Or if you insist, we can go straight past the flowerbed." Zipp sighed and rolled her eyes before pushing past them. "Let's get going. Sooner we get to Maretime Bay. The better." Blitz nodded as he kept an eye on the guards. However as they got to a clearing, Zipp's stomach growled. "Maybe it'd be best if we stop for some food." She sighed. As the guards led them over to a picnic, Blitz let out a low growl as he followed them. Neither was aware of a soft voice that drifted through the air. Hitch sat at his desk as he looked at his phone. It was surprising to see the guards acting so strange. He didn't know what was going on but thought he had to keep watching to find out. At least to make sure his friend was OK. As he watched them sit at the picnic, his ear twitched, and he licked his lips.for she odd reason he was actually getting hungry. But he didn't know what he wanted right away. Just then the door opened as an energetic unicorn entered the station. "Hi ya, Hitch!" She called. "Are you watching the video? Who knew pegasi can be so creepy." She giggled as she sat next to him. "You and me both. But something tells me there's more that's going on." Hitch replied as he watched the screen. "Do you hear that strange voice?" "What voice?" Izzy asked as she leaned closer. Hitch took a deep breath in shock at her sudden movement and caught a whiff of her mane. The scent of cotton candy filled his nostrils, along with a second scent that came from a different part of her. "It… sounds like someone is trying to say something." He managed to say before pushing her back to get some space and hopefully regain some composure. "Really? Like what?" She asked, easily hiding her confusion at being pushed away. To her credit, she did a very good job at hiding the fact he had pushed her. But more importantly she was hiding the fact that she was hoping for a different reaction. Hitch put his ear to the phone and listened closely. "Sounds like… return what's lost… and something about a ritual." He replied before pausing. "Wait… the missing ponies." He gasped as he sat up in shock. "I think I know what happened." Sunny sighed as she sat with Pipp and her mom as the two talked about Zipp and her new friend. She couldn't fully follow all of what they were saying. But she did notice they were making several comments about her being next in line and kids. Sunny rolled her eyes at the thought of them playing matchmaker with her and expecting kids in the process. Her ear twitched as a nearly unnoticeable sound came from her phone. Looking up she blinked in shock at seeing the queen flick her tail at some passing stallions. And Pipp glanced at her from time to time. "Ok… something is definitely going on." Sunny sighed as she turned to leave. "I need to go check on the others. Maybe Izzy has some ideas." Pipp Sunny Izzy Hitch Journal entry 120 Zipp seems like a nice pony. She has a cool main style and seems to have gone to the castle for similar reasons as I did. Talking to her is fun. And she makes me laugh. I wonder if this is what the elder meant by new friends makes you feel special. The guards on the other claw are rather dull. I wonder if she'd get mad if I asked her to leave them behind next time we hang out. Author's Note Dangers and excitement mixed with a hint of drama. Also. May the shipping begin. She sighed quietly. After a moment he pulled her close causing her to gasp and smile as she felt a growl coming from his chest. She couldn't explain it. She glanced at the timer before returning her gaze to the guards. "Hey guys. Did you see anything while…" She said before the sound of moaning came from the other side for a moment. "I think Hitch and Izzy are a bit too busy to notice anything." Pipp teased. After a moment Hitch's voice came over the phone as he cleared his throat. "We… ummm…" "We were just finishing up." Izzy announced. Zipp sighed. "So. Anything happen? Is the voice saying anything different?" "We didn't see anything." Sunny sighed. After a moment of silence, Hitch replied. "Same thing." Zipp thought for a moment before changing some of the settings before clipping her phone to her saddlebag strap. "Ok. I got an idea." She said before moving over to the guards. "Is there anything wrong?" The guards asked. "Not really. Just that my friends and I noticed something and wanted to find out a few things." The guards blinked in confusion as she sat. "I know someone is out there." She called. "Don't worry. I just want to talk. I have a friend that can understand you. And is willing to translate for us." After a moment Hitch spoke. "She's telling the truth. What was taken from you?" He asked. After a moment he spoke softly. "What?... a pin? What does it look like?... ok… Zipp. She said it had a pin that was a golden pin that was in the shape of a lightning bolt with wings." Zipp blinked in shock. "Wait… I saw one of those. It was in a display case." Looking back to the trees she called out. "I can tell you where you can find one. But I think it'd be safer if it was left where it is. Maybe we can work something out. You tell me why the guards are acting strange. And I'll tell you where it is, so you can look at it whenever you want." As an afterthought, she added. "And if you help us. I can get my friend to make you a new one with the picture I took." After a few moments Hitch spoke. "It said thank you… the guards should be fine as long as they don't eat any more of the berries… so the berries are the reason the forest is dangerous." Zipp smiled and nodded. "Makes sense. Don't worry. We'll make sure ponies know not to eat them. I'll send a copy of the picture I took to my friend. Should be ready when we get back to town. But till we can get it to you. You can find the case in the library of the crystal castle in the town at the edge of the forest. Should be easy to find." Zipp turned to and returned to the picnic where Blitz was slowly waking up, and returned the settings of her phone. "Hopefully we'll be able to get home soon." "She sounded happy for the help. From the sound of it. You should be fine." Hitch sighed. "You two have fun and clean up whatever mess you make." Sunny teased. Hitch groaned before hanging up the phone, causing the others to laugh. "Ok girls. I'm going to hang up the phone now." Zipp sighed. "See you soon." Blitz sat up and looked around as realization dawned on him. Before he could say something, Zipp put a wing over his lips for a moment. Gently pulling her wing away he sighed. "We should really talk about what happened when we get a chance." "Yeah. But I don't regret it…" She paused and looked into his eyes. "Do you?" He thought for a moment before smiling. "No." He replied pulling her close. "It was amazing. I wouldn't have changed a thing about it… well… maybe one thing." "And what's that?" Zipp asked, blushing. "You saying three words." "One more round?" Zipp teased. Blitz laughed and licked her neck. "I love you." Zipp blinked and blushed before pulling him into a kiss. "When we get out of this forest. We're getting a private room and you are going to show me how a dragon really fucks." Blitz smiled and kissed her back before hooking up to the wagon. "Then lead the way." Zipp smiled and turned to the guards. "Ok boys. Time to go." The guards turned and motioned to a path before leading the way. It wasn't long before Blitz started looking around. Zipp could tell he had a feeling something was watching them. She just hoped he was just watching their backs. But had a feeling it was something bigger. Journal entry 121 Wow… that was an experience. My first time with a female and it wasn't even with another dragon. Not that I'm complaining. She felt amazing. Soft, warm… I… I'm glad I met her. She's definitely the type of mare that father would be proud to see me with. I love her. I just hope we can stay together after we get out of the forest. Author's Note Looks like three out of five of the friends got lucky. And things seem to be moving along smoothly. But only time will tell if that continues. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 10 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 10 Love and desire It is common for friends who grow close to mistake the two. However, while desire may be the first emotion the two share. The closer the two become, the greater the emotions become and faster desire can turn to love. It is easy at this point for the friends to move to the next level. Especially when on trips to different locations. See passion of doves for more information Another day had come to an end by the time the group got out of the forest. Sadly, it quickly became obvious that they wouldn't make it to town before it got too dark. Luckily for the ponies, Blitz was a dragon and was able to light some torches to help light the way. Or at the very least let any pony that would possibly pass by. "On the plus side we can see the lighthouse." Blitz pointed out as he placed a lit torch on the cart. "Do you think we should make camp?" Zipp asked. "My legs are getting tired." "If the guards don't mind the trip. You can rest on the cart. Or I can carry you." Blitz suggested. "We can keep moving. But I don't think we'd be able to pull the carts." One of the guards sighed. "I can pull it." Blitz replied. Zipp blushed at how chivalrous he was acting. "And how would I lay on the cart that's already full?" Blitz smiled and reached under the cover and moved a few things around before pulling out a blanket and pillow. "It might not be as comfy as a bed. But it's better than the cold ground." He smiled and held out a claw. Zipp smiled and hopped onto the cart letting him put the blanket over her before placing the pillow under her head. "Ok hot shot. Best get us to town. If we're lucky, we'll make it by morning." Blitz nodded and strapped himself in before starting for town. As the sun was rising, the group arrived in town. The guards stood with Blitz as a stallion approached. "Hey!" He called. "You must be Blitz. I'm Hitch. The sheriff of Maretime Bay." He announced before turning to the guards. "Thank you guys for helping them get here safely." The guards nodded and yawned. "Probably a good idea if they got some rest." Zipp laughed as she stretched and got off the cart. "Think you can bring the boys and the cart to the lighthouse, Hitch? I would like to show Blitz around town… if he's not too tired that is." "I just need to grab something before we head out." Blitz informed before pulling out a pouch of gems and one of bits and putting them in his saddlebag. After grabbing the scepter, he turned to the guards. "Ok. You can take the rest to the lighthouse." Hitch strapped himself in and led the guards up the road as Zipp led Blitz into town. "Come on. We can get a smoothie and I can introduce you to some of my other friends." "And talk about… you know…" Zipp bit her lip before smiling as the smoothie cart came into view. "Oh look. There's my friend now. Let's talk after we have a smoothie. You'll love it." "How much are they?" "Don't worry. This is your first time in town. So don't worry about it." Zipp laughed as they arrived at the cart. "Hey Sunny. Two smoothies. One for me and one for my friend." "Hey Zipp." Sunny replied with a smile. "The usual?" "I think I'll try something new today." Zipp replied. "Got any idea on what you think Blitz would like?" Sunny thought for a moment as she looked him over. "Banana strawberry swirl?" Zipp and Blitz glanced at each other before nodding to Sunny. "Two of those then." "Coming up." Sunny replied as she started mixing the drinks. "By the way. It's nice to meet you Blitz. I can see what all the talk is about." "Talk?" As Sunny handed over the drinks, Zipp quickly paid and took the drinks before ushering Blitz away. "Thanks Sunny. But we should get going. Still plenty to see." As the two left, Sunny leaned over the counter and watched him closely. "Come back any time!" She called. Zipp brought Blitz over to a picnic table and sat down. "Ok… looks like we're alone… for now at least." The two took a few sips before smiling at the flavor. "Leave it to Sunny to make an amazing smoothie." The two laughed as they enjoyed the calmness of the park. After a few moments the two shared a glance. They both knew they had to talk about what happened in the woods. And how they felt. Looking around, Zipp moved so she was sitting next to Blitz before talking softly. "I guess now is as good a time as any to talk about it." She sighed. "Neither of us regret what happened." Blitz nodded in agreement. She took a deep breath and looked around. "I know it might sound weird. But…" "I love you too." Blitz cut in softly as he wrapped a wing around her. "And we can move as slow as you want." Zipp's muscles clenched at his words as a sudden burst of heat passed through her body. She only partly noticed their empty cups before she turned and pulled him into a kiss. "I'm not going to deny how I feel or what I want." "And that is?" "Let's see how things go. But I don't think it'll be easy for us to hide that we're together." Zipp replied. "And if you're going to be in town. We'll need to get you a place. And you know what that means." The two smiled before getting up to continue the tour. Journal entry 123 Zipp's friends were surprisingly welcoming. And after seeing us make our way through town for a bit, so was the rest of the town. It was rather nice to see the lessons of the past are still being used today. Out of all her friends however, Izzy seemed the most… familiar somehow. I have yet to meet her sister. But from what I heard… Something tells me these girls have a reputation of sorts. Don't yet know if that's a good thing or not. Author's Note With confessions and introductions, comes some new changes. And a lot of spicy possibilities. See dragon heart for more details Zipp and Blitz stopped by a few places including one stop to get him his own phone and teach him how it worked. "I still can't believe you're able to do all that with this little… device." He marveled as Zipp walked him out of the shop. "Don't worry. Once we find a place for you to stay, you can check out the different features later." Zipp laughed. "As long as my sister is still out of town with my mom, and Hitch is at the lighthouse. I guess we can see if Izzy is out and-" "HI ZIPP!" Izzy announced loudly as she ran up behind them. "Ooooooo! Is this your boyfriend?" "NO!" Zipp quickly replied, turning to face the unicorn. "He's… just a good friend that helped me through the forest." She countered. She didn't really want to mention the… "You mean he helped you get through your heat?" Izzy asked innocently. Blitz looked away acting like he didn't hear her comment and admired some of the posters across the street. As Zipp blushed in shock before glaring at Izzy. Keeping her toan even, she gave a forced smile. "I thought we talked about when it's appropriate to talk about that kind of stuff." "What do you?... oh…" Izzy giggled softly. "Sorry. But he did, right? Or is he the type to leave a mare-" "IZZY!!!" "Sorry." She whimpered softly. "I'll just… go see if Zipp needs anything." She apologized before rushing off. Blitz sighed and smiled at Zipp. "So… how soon do you think they'll figure it out?" Zipp slouched and started down the street. "Depends on how soon we can get you a place to stay. But…" "Hay Zipp. Who or what I'd that?" A red coated stallion asked. "Hi Sprout. This is Blitz. He's traveling across Equestria. We agreed that it'd be a good idea for him to at least have a home to come back to between locations." Zipp replied with a smile. Sprout looked him over coldly for a moment before nodding. "If you say so. Not like I'm a deputy anymore anyway." Shrugging he smiled. "Anyway, mom has a place for sale. He can move in right away." He added before turning away. "It's down by the factory…" He paused and hung his head. "I mean… the museum…" He facehoofed. "Then again. It has a lot of space to fill before…" "Wait… museum? Are you planning on having things from old Equestria in it?" Blitz asked. Blinking, Sprout nodded. "And you're looking for someone who knows about that time period to run it?" "We were going to ask Sunny. But she has her hooves full… so yes. Why do you ask?" Sprout asked. Blitz smiled and turned to Zipp. "Would you mind getting my things? Sprout can show me where the museum is so we can get things moving." Zipp smiled as she had a good idea on what he had in mind. With a nod she turned and flew off. Hitch sat with the guards and sighed. "Come on guys. I'm the sheriff. I'm supposed to check strange packages." "Sorry sir. We're just following orders." One of the guards replied. "Plus I don't want to find out what Blitz is like mad." His parent added. "Zipp can be scary. But he has sharp teeth, claws…" "Don't forget the fire breath." Hitch sighed and turned away. "Fine. I'll just wait and see if…" Blinking, he watched as Izzy sped past with a fears blush on her face. "What?" Was all he got out before he was lifted in magic and pulled inside. "AGAIN!?!?!" The guards looked at each other for a moment before shrugging. They sat and took turns keeping an eye out for anyone that got too close to the carts as the other kept an eye on their phone in case Pipp or Zipp called. It surprisingly wasn't long before Zipp landed. "You two…" She panted. "Take the carts to the museum." "Is everything ok mam?" The guard asked as his partner got hooked up. "Everything is fine." She replied as she stood up straight and fixed her main. "Just that Blitz is going to be opening it soon. And I have a feeling that some of these will be in it." "Wait… you mean he's running it?" The guard asked in shock. "You bet." He smirked. "And that means we'll have more reason to go hunting for more historic locations." The guards smiled at each other before following her down the street. Neither of them wanted to say it. But there was definitely something going on between Izzy and Hitch. Or at least with her. And from what they say with Zipp. She was hiding something involving Blitz as well. But it wasn't their place to say. Journal entry 124 Sprout seemed odd. Once Zipp left us alone, he seemed to become guarded. Why I don't fully know. But as we walked and talked. He seemed to perk up fast. And his mom was… friendly. And helpful on the paperwork to get me settled in as the museum owner and in my new home… which was next door. I wonder why she was looking me over like I was a slice of cake… maybe I should ask Sunny if they still have those. Maybe I can get one to split with Zipp. Author's Note Things are heating up fast and it's possible that someone's secret is going to slip. Maybe on the next trip out of town? See herds and/or mating for more information Blitz sat at the front desk of the museum as the guards arrived. "Great!" He announced before jumping over and pulling the tarps off the carts before turning to the guards. "You might need to get help." Nodding, the guards rushed off as Zipp, Sprout and Phyllis gathered around looking at the strange things in the carts. "Are these what I think they are?" Zipp asked. "Some items kept in my home land from the time of the Guardians of Friendship." He explained pulling out a pair of goggles. "And some from the Castle of Friendship." He tossed the goggles to Zipp. "I think I read about some of the things we got. The goggles belonged to Wonderbolts." Pulling out a jar of green fire he paused and sett it on the desk. "What's that?" Sprout asked. "The last flame made from the time of the Guardians…" Blitz sighed as he pulled the staff close. "Elder said it… was all we had left of them…" The three ponies sat and hung their heads in silence till several carts were brought over. "I heard you were back in town sis!" Zipp looked over and smiled. "Pipp! I hope you don't mind helping us while we organize this stuff." "Not at all. It gives us time to learn about your new-" "Friend." Blitz and Zipp cut in. Pipp sighed and rolled her eyes as Zipp realized what she said. "Wait. We? You mean…" "Hello darling. I thought I'd come over and see for myself who this boy is that caught my daughter's eye." Haven announced as she sat next to her daughter. Looking over at Blitz, she smiled. "And I must say. He is a looker." "MOM!" Zipp groaned. As Haven moved next to him, Zipp was grateful that her sister and the guards were trying to organize things by what looked fragile and what looked expensive from what just looked old and interesting. More importantly was how Blitz was taking it with stride. It was actually surprising to see her mom… so willing to listen. "Oh my. You mean the dragons have rulers? And you're a prince?" She gasped glancing over at Zipp and Pipp before turning back to him with a playful smile. "So… how many wives can do dragons normally-" "MOTHER!!!!!" Zipp and Pipp shouted in unison as they blushed. "What?" She asked defensively. "It's always good to keep your opinions open." Blitz sighed. "We… haven't really had many families… but elder said that the lord is permitted to have a hoard, as he put it. Or what ponies call a herd." "Well. I think if you decide to have a herd. You should get to know them first. And maybe consider one or both my daughters?" Haven suggested. Before the girls replied Blitz laughed. "They are beautiful. And from what I heard. They are good ponies." Pipp and Zipp blushed as their wings twitched. "But like you said. I should get to know them better first." Haven smiled as they went back to work. Pipp and Zipp shared a few knowing glances. Neither of them had to say it. There was a growing chance they both were growing a crush on him. There were a few small matters. Who all would find out before they were ready, who else would fall for him?... and what was probably most important. At least to Pipp, was all this going into the museum, or was he going to "gift" any of this to them? Hitch slipped out of the lighthouse while Izzy rested and saw Sunny. "Hay Sunny. Any news about Zipp and our new friend?" "I heard they went to the museum. I was thinking about going over to see if I could help before I noticed this book that fell from the wagon one of the guards was pulling." She replied. Hitch raised an eyebrow at her. "You are going to return that. Right?" "Of course." She laughed before pausing for a moment to stare at the book. "But this could be a book from the Guardians of Friendship. What if it's from Twilight Sparkle herself? Maybe it's a collection of her very own spells." "And what if it's something dangerous?" Hitch countered. "He came from a tribe of dragons right? It might be something involving them. Something dangerous and not to be messed with." "I'll just look at one page. OK? Then it goes straight to Blitz." She sighed, opening it to a random page. Journal entry 125 With the help of Zipp, her family and the guards, we were able to organize everything. I'll admit that having a place where others can see these wonders is amazing. And I can always store what we find in the back… oddly a book went missing. Wish I remembered which one it was. A part of me feels, I should keep the elder flame with me. If needed. I will take the flame for my own. Author's Note And now that the cast is together. And one of the couples have already formed. I wonder what would happen. What type of spell will be cast? What threat might come? And how eager is Haven going to become for grandkids? //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 13 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 13 Mating (heat and desire) While most creatures prefer to follow the pattern of following their instincts, some such as ponies and even dragons have evolved to lean towards what their hearts say. However, that doesn't mean that their bodies won't influence their decision in the moment. This can lead to both positive and negative outcomes. There were a few small matters. Who all would find out before they were ready, who else would fall for him?... and what was probably most important. At least to Pipp, was all this going into the museum, or was he going to "gift" any of this to them? Blitz smiled as they looked around the room they had set up as a temporary home for the things from the time of the Guardians. It was going to be a long road to reunite the land. But at least now they had a place where they could show others what friendship really meant. And what it can achieve. "So, what's the next step?" Pipp asked as they made their way to the front desk of the museum. Blitz sat at the desk and thought as he looked at the front door. "I'll need help running this place if I intend to keep my promise to the elder and my father." "I'm sure we can find somepony who would be willing to help out." Haven encouraged as a guard brought over a list of ponies that were interested in the job. "And, you can have some of my guards as security." Blitz sighed as he looked over the list. "This is going to take a while." "Gives us time to look for clues on where to go next." Pipp pointed out. "If it helps. Hitch can take care of that with no problem." Zipp added. Blitz thought for a moment before nodding. Taking the cue, the guard that delivered the list took up a position at the door to keep an eye open for trouble. A neon blue mare sighed and sat looking at the group from outside a window. "Wow. Look at all that stuff… maybe one of those book-" She mused before getting cut off by a voice that came from her pendant. "Misty! How much longer are you going to make me wait for news about that dragon?" "Sorry Opaline. But I think something big is happening." Misty replied. "There's a new… stallion in town." "I'm not surprised." Opaline sighed. "Ponies are traveling a lot more often now." "No… I mean…" Misty paused and looked through the window at him. "He doesn't look like any stallion I've ever met." "He's a stallion." Opaline groaned. "What can be so impressive about him? And unless it's the size of his dick. I'd wonder why you're so fixated on him." After a few moments of silence. "Well… other than that. He has horns and claws." There was a pause before Opaline replied. "Put snatching the runt on hold. Do whatever it takes to bring him here. Oh… and don't forget to pick up the groceries. We're running low on a few things." Before Misty was able to reply, the connection was cut. She turned and bit her lip as thoughts of how she'd get him away from the others danced in her mind. "Maybe Opaline won't mind if I did… that." Sunny looked over the page a few times before muttering to herself. "I think I understand what this says. But I don't understand what it does." "Then don't cast it." Hitch suggested. Sunny thought for a moment. "What's the worst that can happen? I don't think Blitz would bring a spell book that would hurt us." She pointed out before reading the spell. Hitch sighed as he looked around in concern before noticing his body was starting to feel weird. And not exactly in a way or place he wanted others to know about. After a few moments, Sunny sighed and placed the book in Hitch's bag. "I guess it didn't really do anything. Maybe you should take it to Blitz while I go check on Izzy." Hitch nodded and galloped off. He didn't really know why, but he felt like being at the museum was the best place to be. Sunny sighed as she made her way into the lighthouse. Unaware of the growing heat between her legs. Zipp followed her mom and sister out to do some shopping. Taking a deep breath, she looked around as her mom talked about one of them hooking up with Blitz. It was really annoying at how much she was suggesting that he should be with Pipp and how Zipp should take some classes on being a proper princess or at the least lessons to prepare her to be a "proper" mate. "Look mom. I'll make a deal with you." Zipp snapped. "I'll take the stupid wife lessons, if you stop trying to hook us up with anypony." Haven sighed and smiled. "Fine. But if you intend to go on these missions. Then you have to take the advanced lessons." Zipp bit her lip in thought before nodding. "Fine. But please don't have me leave town." "Don't worry hun. You'll be able to take the lesson in town. But you'll have to stay at the building where your classes will be." Haven explained as they arrived at a large house with two stallions and a mare standing at the door. "Good luck." Zipp groaned knowing her mom had somehow planned this. Luckily Pipp stepped forward. "I'd like to take the classes too." Haven shrugged as two young stallions rushed over. "Sorry we're late…" they apologized before noticing both sisters going into the house. Turning to Haven the younger of the two asked. "So… what are the limits?" "No marks." Haven replied as she turned to leave. "They need to learn how to properly serve their partner as much as their kingdom." The two looked at each other and smiled before entering the house. Author's Note Don't exactly know what I'm going to do next. But something tells me that it's going to be spicy. Question is... are the sisters getting a legit lesson? Or is something devious going on? Also, what will be the end result of Sunnies spell? //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 14 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 14 Mating (separation) It is rare, but there are times in which the mate will separate itself from their partner. This is done for several reasons. Including but not limited to childbirth, trial of the heart, spreading the news and hunting. This separation can be directed to either or both partners. And the outcome can sometimes be the opposite of what one expects. As Blitz was about to leave the museum, Hitch arrived. "Blitz!" Hitch called. "Sunny casted one of the spells from your book." He explained before pulling out the book and opening it to the spell. "This one." Blitz blinked and looked it over. "Oh… that's just a hormone enhancement spell." He laughed off. "You have nothing to worry about." "I don't?" Hitch asked nervously. "Nothing at all." Blitz reassured. "Just as long as you're not hiding secret feelings towards anyone. But you're an honest and tough gut right?" Hitch gulped and nodded. "Right… but let's just say for laughs that I am hiding feelings. What would happen?" Blitz thought for a moment before looking over the spell. "From the looks of this…" As they talked Misty snuck closer and listened to the conversation the best she could. However, due to the noise and workers nearby, she only was able to get parts of their conversation. "If you're interested in…. Then your… will… and you'll… but that can be avoided if you… and if they're…. Then you'll… and your… will… but you can… before you… just remember to… and never… under any circumstances… because if you… then… will… understand?" Misty blinked in confusion as Hitch gulped and nodded. "What was that about?" She muttered. Rubbing a hoof to her chin, Misty tried to think of a way to get closer to him without the others getting suspicious of her. "Come to think of it… I wonder how good his sense of smell is?" She looked out from the bush she was hiding in as Izzy bounced by. "Hi Misty. Want to meet our new friend?" The unicorn asked. "Why am I not surprised?" Misty thought as she smiled nervously and nodded. "Great." Izzy cheered. "Oh. I should warn you. He's part dragon. But he's super sweet." "Part… dragon?" Misty gasped as possible futures rushed through her head. Most of which involved handing him over to Opaline. Biting her lip, Misty thought for a moment "I… I don't know if now's the right time. I mean… I… it…" Izzy gasped. "Did you get… jinxed by the twin horned rabbit?" "... yes?" Misty replied nervously. "I should be fine after a few hours. Maybe I can come back and meet him tomorrow?" "No time." Izzy countered before pushing her into the museum. "There's only one cure and Blitz has it." The two guys looked over as Izzy plowed through pushing the new mare into Blitz and continuing down the hallway as Hitch sighed and turned away. "Probably safer if I just go." He sighed. Before Misty or Blitz were able to say anything, Izzy pushed them into a rest station for workers. "She's all yours Blitz. And don't worry. No pony will bother you on my watch." She called as the two looked at each other in confusion. "Maybe we should start with what led up to us being here." Blitz sighed as Misty hung her head. Sunny sat at the living room table and sighed at the note she found. "Dear Sunny… I went out for a walk. Will be back later…. Izzy." Rolling her eyes, Sunny set the letter to the side before going to prepare some food. While Zipp and Pipp were in their lessons, Haven made her way to the museum. She wanted to see for herself what kind of stallion was able to get her daughter to agree to act more royal. Such a stallion was definitely worth seeing up close. Journal entry 126 I don't exactly know how to explain it. But I started to get the feeling that the other nations will be harder to win over unless I figure out why ponies are both untrusting and desperate for trust. Maybe I'm reading things wrong and they're just horny and don't want to admit it. Either way. I should solve this problem before we encounter too many others. Note to self. Rumor has it that pegasi don't control weather. I'll investigate that too. Author's Note A short chapter with quite a bit going on. I wonder how long until things explode in their faces... or other body parts. Lol //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 15 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 15 Trial of the heart (risks) There are a few things one must know about the trial. First is as time passes, the desire to be together will grow until the partner will do anything to be with their mate. Even sacrifice their own family members to do so. However, if the trial takes too long, the desire will fade and the couple will never be able to reconnect. Zipp sighed and looked out the window as her sister fixed up her mane. “Thinking about Blitz?” She teased knowingly. Zipp sighed. “Yeah.” She replied with a soft smile. “He's amazing.” “He is good looking. Friendly, easy to talk to… And I bet he's good in bed too.” Pipp teased. “You can say that again.” Zipp giggled. “Just thinking about him makes me-” “OK!" Pipp laughed before changing the subject before things get too spicy. Blitz and Misty sat in silence for a moment after he explained how he got there. It was rather surprising that dragons were still in Equestria. After all, the only one she knew of was a baby. Besides, if SHE found out about this. There was no doubt she'd do something to them. Was there really nothing she could do? Considering her options, Misty had a couple of ideas. And even though she didn't really like how risky one was, if her other ideas didn't work… she'd Be left with no other way to protect his family. Misty inwardly groaned at how eager she had become to help others after meeting Sunny and her friends. There was no way this wouldn't somehow come back on her in one way or another. Taking a deep breath she decided to put plan A into motion. “Do… Do you think it'd be possible to… I don't know…. Stop somepony from stealing your fire magic?” “Doubt it. That kind of information is in the old tomes. Such information would take a long time to translate. It was coded by some of the nation's brightest minds after all.” Blitz sighed. “Oh…” Misty sighed inwardly as she thought about what to do now. “I was wondering… How does someone become part dragon?” “Normally you'd have to be born as one…” “But?” She asked hopefully. “I did read a few techniques. But I wouldn't recommend them.” He laughed. “Why not?” “How would you feel about rebirth, or belonging to someone?” He asked. “Not much different from now.” She mumbled. “What?” “How would they work?” She quickly replied. “Rebirth would be more complicated seeing as I'm a male. And the other one would be a bit… dangerous.” He explained. “Would you be able to… make me part dragon?” He blinked in shock and thought it over. “I can… but you do realize that if I do this. You would belong to me… Right? And I don't think you'd want to go through a second childhood and lose the friends you have.” “I know. And if there was a way to speed…” “No age spells. The Book of Friendship has some rather detailed stories about how bad those turn out.” Blitz warns. Thinking for a moment, she bowed her head. “Then as long as I can be with my friends… then my life is yours.” Blitz lifts her chin. “I can't promise you much. But I can promise you two things. That you can be with your friends. And that if there's something you can't handle, I will.” Misty smiled as she readied herself for what was coming. “Then my life and body are in your claws… master.” Haven looked around the museum in wonder at the different things from old Equestria. As she looked around, she began to see what her daughter and her friends liked so much about it. From the books to outfits, she slowly found herself more and more intrigued. Her eyes widened in amazement as she noticed the section labeled “dragon lands”. However her excitement was stopped as a stallion stopped her at the door. “Sorry, your highness. But this section isn't ready for the public yet.” He said nervously. “Oh? And what if I offered the aid of some of my guards? Would that get me a peek?” She asked softly. The guard thought for a moment before looking back into the room. “Well… there are a few things that need dusting before we can put it on display.” He sighed and turned back to her. “Ok. But only because you're Zipp's mother. I'd probably get in trouble even considering the offer if it came from anypony else. Just remember, no touching or moving anything. Just dusting.” “Agreed.” She confirmed. She didn't really know what he meant about getting in trouble. But after raising two girls, she understood not to ask too many questions. Turning to the guards that were with her, she passed on the instructions before entering with the stallion. As she looked around, she admitted to herself that dragons were amazing, beautiful creatures. She felt proud that her daughter was making such an amazing ally. The more she learned about his kind, the more she wondered how best to bring their people together. She then noticed a book titled "the book of friendship" and remembered hearing about his mission. A smile came to her face as thoughts of how she can use it to gain their trust entered her mind as she left. She had a lot to prepare for and little time to do it. Author's Note Say what you will. Zipp sat enjoying the food as the guards "kept watch. At first she kept an eye on them but after a little while of eating, it was made clear that they weren't going to do anything against them. So she decided to turn her attention to the surroundings. The flowers looked nice and the smell was nice. She felt light and warm. She kept looking around a bit before glancing at Blitz. Her eyes scanned from head to hoof before stopping at his… Shaking her head she quickly looked away. "Knock it off, Zipp." She scolded herself. "Sure he's hot and you're both technically royalty. But that doesn't mean you can just fondle him with your eyes." Sighing she bit her lip and looked at him again before getting up. Clearing her throat she spoke. "I'll be… right back. I need to… do lady stuff." She announced before moving to the treeline and pulling out her phone and switched on the communication so she could hear them. "Hey guys. I hope you're able to see everything." "We can see just fine." Sunny replied. "And from what we can tell on our end, that place looks a lot less scary than the stories said it was." "Other than that weird voice that is." Hitch added. "What voice?" Zipp asked. "It keeps saying something about returning something." He replied. Zipp thought for a moment as she rubbed her chin. "If you can hear it… then there has to be an animal in the area. It might be the one responsible for why this place is so dangerous." "Do you have an idea?" Izzy asked. "Yeah…. But I may need to put you guys on a timed mute for a bit. Just… you know. Keep an eye on what's going on." She explained. After a few moments of hearing them laugh, she rolled her eyes and set up the timer before making her way back to the picnic. "Everything ok?" Blitz asked. "Yeah. One of my friends thinks an animal in the area had something stolen… or something like that." Zipp replied as she sat next to him. A part of her was glad he didn't really notice she was sitting closer than before. She looked at the picnic for a moment before taking a deep breath and setting the phone so the camera could see the guards. She mentally counted down for when the timer would start. She looked him over and knew she wouldn't be able to hold back much longer. A part of her hoped he was thinking the same thing. Blitz sniffed the air and looked over at Zipp seeing her blush and look him over. "Do you need to go behind the trees and take care of that?" She knew he was being polite, but what she needed wasn't some privacy. "No… I don't think that'll help." "Oh?... you mean…" Blitz cleared his throat and turned away. "Oh… ummm… do… Do you want help? I mean… I don't know how much help I can be… but…" "Don't tell anyone… but you'd be my first too." Zipp admitted. "So… would you like to… you know…" Blitz rubbed the back of his neck. "Honestly?..." No more words were said as Zipp got in front of him and gave him a deep passionate kiss before falling back with him on top. It didn't take long for them to start exploring each other's bodies as things got heated between them. Hitch sighed as he looked at the notes he took while he was still able to hear the video. He let Izzy watch the video as her horn used magic to keep notes of everything new they did. Which wasn't much. As he looked over the notes, he noticed that the more he listened, the more he learned about what was going on. Was that place really dangerous or did whatever was talking cause them to change. What in the forest possibly has magic? What magic might be able to do this? There were too many questions. And right now… it was a distraction from what he really wanted to study… correction. It was distracting him till the thought forced itself back to the front of his mind. "Say… Izzy?... I was wondering something I heard about unicorns." He asked. "What is it?" She asked, pocketing her notes. "It's a private matter. Maybe we should…" "TO THE LIGHTHOUSE!" She announced before trotting down the street. Gathering his things, Hitch quickly followed. Sunny sighed as her and Pipp rested their head on their hooves as Pipp's mom went shopping. "How much do you want to bet they're banging?" Pipp asked. "With a guy like that?" Sunny sighed. "They definitely are." After a moment Pipp looked past the phone at the sorry guard that was carrying her mom's bags. "You know… if they weren't so willing to do whatever I say. I might actually let one… you know." "Yeah." Sunny sighed as she watched the phone. "Zipp definitely hit the jackpot on guys." Just then she blinked at seeing something move in the trees. She quickly made a note about it and watched the guards looking into the trees as if they were waiting for something. Author's Note Looks like things are getting hot in more than one way and place. Lol who wants to guess where things re going from here?
