Chapters Four Empeors in Equestria
It was a cold, rainy day in the German Empire, it was 1915, much of Russia and France have been occupied by the Central Powers. A soldier, very loyal to the Kaiser, is on a ship, headed to Canada, a dominion of the British Empire, disguised as a British Soldier, with several other German Soldiers.
Several days later, they arrive in Vancouver, Canada, with trust from King George V. They enter into a secret lab, with a mirror.
"A mirror?" Asked a soldier, "That's what the British are researching?"
"Nevermind what they're researching, Der Kaiser told us to get whatever we can from Canada, and bring it back to Berlin for research. The British are around, keep your guns by your sides, for the Fatherland!" The Germans go toward the mirror, practicing British accents.
"Gentlemen, what are you doing?" Asked a British Soldier, the German soldier looked worried.
"Ahem, yes, sir, The King wanted us to bring this to him and the Prime Minister." Said the Soldier, the British soldier squinted his eyes, and notices a necklace under the German's military jacket, touches it and notices it's an Iron Cross, his eyes widen. He than calls out for backup.
"Shit! We must initiate plan 2!" The Germans come out with Guns loaded.
"FÜR DAS VATERLAND!" Calls a German, as a British calls out "GOD SAVE THE KING!" The battle ends in a German victory, the Germans who weren't shot and killed by the British took the mirror and brought it onto their ship.
It was a long, long voyage, they could no longer disguise themselves, and had to be wary of British, French, and Russian ships, but once they came to Ottoman waters, they were safe, they brought it from Constantinople, through Bulgaria, Occupied Serbia, Austria-Hungary, until they finally reached the Kaiser's Palace. They knock on the Kaiser's door. Prince Wilhelm, son of the Kaiser, answered.
"Ja?" Asked the Prince, he was informed the Kaiser was needed, so he got his father. The soldiers bow to their Kaiser.
"Rise." Said the Kaiser, the soldiers get up. "Come, Chancellor Theobald von Bethmann Hollweg is with me, we're discussing the current status of the Great War. Thanks, my son, for informing me of the soldier's arrival." Prince Wilhelm nodded to his father and went into his room. Kaiser Wilhelm II and Chancellor Theobald talked with the soldiers about the battle in Vancouver, and how the lab only had the mirror, and some Chemical weapons.
"The Chemical Weapons could come in handy." Informed the Chancellor, "But what could our Kaiser do with a mirror? Unless the British are messing with us! But why would they risk 30-40 soldiers for a dumb joke? The King of England is incompetent, but he isn't stupid." The Kaiser got a little offended. He may be at war with George V and Nicholas II, but they were cousins, and shared a grandmother in Queen Victoria, and grew up loving each other as cousins would. But he got over it quickly. He walks over to the mirror, looking at the mirror.
"I am quite glorious in this mirror, am I not? In the future, I shall be known as Wilhelm the Great, German Emperor, greatest Emperor the world had seen since Constantine of Byzantium!" Wilhelm had a bit of a vanity problem, a soldier rolled his eyes. Wilhelm places his hand in the glass, but...it goes through? What was happening? "AHH! WHAT IS THIS WITCHCRAFT?!" Yelled the Kaiser.
"Calm down mein Kaiser!" Exclaimed the Chancellor. "This is interesting, maybe...a portal? To another world?"
"Pfft, you're funny mein Chancellor, another world, what's next, Unicorns?" Laughed The Kaiser as did his soldiers.
"You don't know, maybe there are? Who knows?" Said the Chancellor, the Kaiser laughed even harder. The soldiers did too. The Chancellor had a serious look on his face.
"Oh wait you're serious?" asked the Kaiser, "Let me laugh even harder!" He continues laughing. He finishes, "Look, if that IS true, which it won't, but just in case...get the others." The Kaiser ordered. The Chancellor salutes his Kaiser, and goes off. Franz Joseph I, Ferdinand I, and Mehmed V are told to go to Berlin at once, which they do, with their prime ministers, who are placed as their regents until they get back.
"By Allah's Name, Wilhelm, I hope what you have is something important. I have stuff to do, such as lead not just an Empire, but an entire religion!" Exclaimed Mehmed V.
"Mehmed, Franz, Ferdinand, I have something to show you." He places his hand into the Mirror.
"So what? You can do magic tricks, if I wanted to see a magic trick I'd go to America and see a Houdini show." Said Ferdinand, Wilhelm told them to try it, Franz Joseph does it, and gets surprised.
"In my 67 years as Emperor of Austria, I've never seen something so...magical." Ferdinand and Mehmed try it too, both are surprised. The Emperor's place their prime ministers as regents.
"I've accepted...this is a portal...we must investigate!" Said Wilhelm. The other Emperors nod in agreement.
"Before we go...I must pray one last time before we go to another world. It is just that time, and just in case we don't get back, tell the Muslims of the word...it's been amazing serving you." Mehmed V started to pray in the traditional Muslim way, with a mat he brings on the go. It was a beautiful pattern, orange, yellow, and black, fit for a Caliph. He starts praying. Once he was done, he put it away. "In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, I am ready to enter into one of your other worlds, if I die, I want to tell you that I've served my people and the legacy of Muhammad well." The other Emperors nod, Mehmed draws his sword, "FOR ALLAH! ALLAHU AKBAR!" Mehmed V, Wilhelm II, Franz Joseph, and Ferdinand charge into the portal. Through the portal, they see bright colors all around them, so bright compared to what they see usually in their bleak, dark world.
The Four Emperors dropped into Equestria. They see before them beautiful valleys, forests, creeks and ponds. Something they hardly saw in their industrialized Empires.
"This...is the most beautiful place I've ever seen..." Wilhelm shed a tear, "It reminds me of a simpler time, as a child, mein vater telling me fairytales...I miss him dearly. His 99 days as Kaiser, he suffered..." Wilhelm started sobbing. His dear friend and ally, Franz Joseph, comforted him.
"This is so beautiful. Allah truly created a beautiful universe, shaallah, we shall ally with the inhabitants of this world!" Said Mehmed. The Emperors walk further, towards a town. They encounter Pinkie Pie.
Four Empeors in Equestria
"A pink horse? Did not expect this." Said Ferdinand, "Can we ride it?"
"Um, I have a name, and it's Pinkie Pie!" She starts giggling and bouncing up and down. The Emperors' eyes all widened, as they noticed other ponies, speaking perfectly.
"What the hell? Oh mein gott! The ponies here talk?" Said Wilhelm. "It's hard to admit, as a mighty Kaiser, but honestly...it's kinda adorable. Strange, yes, but adorable, she's pretty fluffy." Wilhelm starts petting her.
"Of course we talk silly! You're those weird human things Twilight hung out with once, but...you came from that way? wait, the year of when Twilight did it was 2013...what year is it for you?"
"Why, 1915!" Said Franz Joseph.
"Hmm...might ask Twilight about that, but for now, I wanna get to know you! introduce yourselves!" Said Pinkie
"Why, it would be an honor! I am Kaiser Wilhelm II, Emperor of Germany and it's colonial Empire for 27 years, Leader of the Central Powers! Cousin of George V and Nicholas II of England and Russia respectfully." Explained Wilhelm II.
"I am Kaiser Franz Joseph I, Emperor of Austria for 67 years, also King of Hungary, Slovenia, Bohemia, and Croatia. Greatest ally of the German Empire, we speak the same language." explained Franz Joseph.
"I am Sultan or Caliph Mehmed V, Sultan of the Ottoman Empire and Caliph of the Islamic Faith for 6 years, and devout in said faith." explained Mehmed V
"and I am Tsar Ferdinand I, Tsar of Bulgaria for 7 years. Not as found with the Ottomans, but worth it to defeat the entente powers, who we've been at war with." Explained Ferdinand
"Oh, that's cool, I'm Pinkie Pie, I like cake." She says as she sticks her tongue out. "Anyway, I have to show you to Twilight!" She brings them to Twilight's castle.
"So, let me get this straight, you come from the Mirror world, but not from 2013, but instead from 1915? How?" Said Rainbow Dash.
"Let me explain," Said Twilight, "I've done research, there are mirrors all over Equus, that's our planet's name, and each one goes to a different year. Usually it goes up in years in each mirror, so originally, 2013 was the year of the original portal, but now it is 2023, so in your world, when I was in 2013, you were in 1905. Does that make sense?" explained Twilight, the Kaiser nods his head.
"So, darlings, Pinkie told me about a war between you and nations called England, France, Serbia, Russia, and Belgium, what happened to get you at war with so many nations?" Asked Rarity. Franz Joseph Clenched his fist and his teeth.
"My nephew was shot by a Serbian Black Hand assassin, and Serbia did nothing about it!" He yelled. "Now my nephew is dead and my empire is in chaos! Serbia than called upon Russia and France to help, so I called in Germany and the Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria decided to join in, but Wilhelm decided it was a good idea to invade Belgium, which called in Britain into the war." Explained Franz Joseph.
"Hey now!" Said Wilhelm, "How else could I have gotten into France? The border was fortified all to shit, and we couldn't push through until I invaded Belgium!"
"Calm, calm. Now, Franz, would you consider Serbia the aggressor in this conflict?" Asked Twilight. Franz answered loudly.
"OF COURSE! MY NEPHEW IS GONE BECAUSE OF THEM! THEY DIDN'T DO SHIT ABOUT IT and...and...my nephew...he's gone, and he isn't coming back! Serbia must be taught a damn lesson!" Yelled Franz Joseph, tears went down the Kaiser's cheek.
"The Entente has an advantage on getting on the good side of other nations, I believe Japan is involved as well, which isn't anywhere close to us!" Said Mehmed V.
"They've got a point, Twilight." Said Rainbow Dash, "Maybe we should help them in this conflict? Sure, it might change the flow of history, but...still."
"We must get to Zecora, we must know what would happen if you lose this conflict." Said Twilight, "We must know what is at stake in Earth." Twilight brings them.
"If it is an answer you seek, than do not be weak. Look into the Crystal Ball and see. See what will be...if they lose, what the Earth would chose." The Emperors and Mane Six look into the Crystal Ball, they see what happens in the Twenties, the Great Depression, the Thirties and Forties, the Second Great war, seeing terrorists in the 21st century, and tensions of nukes. They see many atrocities. Zecora is shocked.
"I...I have no words." Zecora walked back. Fluttershy is crying because of the atrocities.
"You...must win this war. I'll talk with our Ruler, Princess Celestia, at once! I must talk to her about an alliance! How can human beings be so cruel...?" Asked Twilight.
"Well, looking around your world..." Said Wilhelm, "It seems your world is peaceful. Hardly any conflict, the magic of friendship, I've heard you say that a couple of times...we don't have that on Earth." Said Wilhelm.
"And three of my generals are ethnically cleansing my Empire. I can't do anything about it, that is not what God wants, nor the prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him." Said Mehmed V.
"Than it's settled." Said Twilight. "Oh, by the way, war does exist here."
"But do you kill people for being minorities?" Asked Mehmed, "That's what my generals have unfortunately done..."
"No..." said Twilight.
"Than war over here is simply conflict, on Earth, many terrible things have happened during wartime." Said Ferdinand. Twilight flies over to Canterlot, as the Central Powers' Monarchs use a carriage. Mehmed V is praying, as they enter the palace. Twilight explains the alliance to her and why it should happen.
"So, if these humans win a war, than many genocides, terrorist attacks, and pollution will end?" Asked Celestia
"Ja." Said Wilhelm, "What do you say, Celestia, allies?" He holds out his hand, Celestia holds out her hoof as Wilhelm holds it.
"Allies." Said Celestia, "I declare Equestria a member of the Central Powers." The Central Powers, including Equestria, have their flags outside Canterlot palace.
Four Empeors in Equestria
The Emperors and Celestia look at the mirror and go through it.
"Mein Kaiser, you're back after a few weeks! ...Is that a horse? With wings? And a horn? Lucky guess." Said the Chancellor.
"I am Princess Celestia, the newest member of the Central Powers. I have seen the future, if you do not win this war, all of your monarchies will be abolished, and Germany will elect a terrible person named Adolf Hitler into power, and he'll do many terrible things. Which is why Equestria, 10 million strong, shall help you." Celestia explained.
"10 MILLION MANPOWER?!" Exclaimed the Chancellor, "You're bluffing!"
"I'm a Princess, I don't lie. 10 million soldiers strong. Many fight for Equestria, fight for friendship and freedom. Friendship can't happen under these circumstances, if you lose, Earth will lose the little friendship is once had." The Emperors salute.
Equestrian soldiers march out of the portal, along with the Mane Six. Chanting the anthem of Equestria.
"General Shining Armor! Stand by my side!" Said Celestia. "Yes ma'am!" He replied.
"Allah's will...these Equestrians know loyalty!" Said Mehmed V
"Of course, there are 6 Elements of Harmony, loyalty is one of them, I happen to be it." Said Rainbow Dash.
The history of World War I resulted much better than in real life, much more was occupied, 2 more years of war, sadly, Franz Joseph still passed away, but the new Emperor, Charles I, rose up and assisted the Central Powers more. When 1917 hit, the Russian Revolution happened.
"What's going on in Russia?" Asked Twilight, Wilhelm chuckled, "About a century ago, a man named Karl Marx wrote a book called the Communist Manifesto, and some guy called Lenin took his word and is rebelling in Russia, this is great for the war efforts, even if Italy and the United States have since than joined, their resistance in futile! Thanks for your help, Equestrians!" Said Wilhelm II
"Huh, kinda like Starlight Glimmer." Said Twilight. Wilhelm received a telegraph from George V.
"Gonna surrender, cousin? Hah!" He reads it and asks for him to go to Buckingham Palace. "pfft, okay, carry me, Twilight." Wilhelm II rides Twilight to London, he goes into Buckingham Palace to see his devastated cousin.
"Nicky...he..." George wiped the tears from his eyes.
"What happened?" Asked Twilight.
"Our cousin...shot...his entire family...stabbed, even the children..." Said George V.
"Wait, what? I can never wish that upon somebody, especially my own kin, the Soviets...they're barbarians." Said Wilhelm.
"Oh no, that's horrible!" Said Twilight. Twilight thought to herself, and thought that peace was the option that suited the most. she trotted to Equestria. She goes into the palace. Luna and Celestia sat on their thrones.
"Celestia...we need a peace treaty between the two nations..." She explains everything to Celestia.
"Why...didn't I think of that before? I knew peace would be the right option, it's just...what you told me..." Said Celestia.
"I know." Said Twilight, "I reacted the same way." Twilight and Celestia got the leaders of the Entente and Central Powers together at a peace conference. Celestia proposed that they should be all allies, and that war and death aren't the answer. For what happened to Nicholas II was unforgivable by the standards of both sides. George V and Wilhelm II looked at eachother and hugged, than shook the hands of President Georges Clemenceau of France. Along with formally apologizing to King Albert for invading Belgium. The powers all came to an alliance.
"I propose something." Said Woodrow Wilson, president of the USA, "I think you might like it. I call it the League of Nations. Nations help eachother, co-exist with eachother. Solving conflicts peacefully, not through war."
"I like that idea, Mister President." Said Celestia
"Than it's settled, Equestria shall join the League of Nations! With your permission of course, Celestia." Said Twilight, Celestia agrees, and the Central and Entente powers are formally dissolved, forming the League of Nations. With that, most future conflicts never happened, no terrorism due to the existance of a Caliph, no Hitler because of Germany still being the German Empire, and peace because of The Ponies of Equestria having a presence on Earth. Life wasn't perfect, but as time went on, the worlds of Earth and Equus got more progressive, more forward thinking, Monarchies and Republics are balanced, and Communism isn't as big.
The ponies look at Berlin one more time before going back through the portal. Year 1939, in this world.
"Ein more thing, ponies...danke. For everything. I still mourn my cousin's death, but now...the world is at peace, danke for keeping everything at peace. By the way, that Adolf Hitler guy? He went on to become a painter, here's one of his portraits." He shows it to them.
"That's nice, be well, Wilhelm II." Said Celestia, she walks into the portal. Earth was shown the Magic of Friendship at one of it's darkest points in history. Now the world is at peace.
