Daybreaker rules Equestria with an iron hoof. She gets bored from time to time - so she has trained gladiators that fight to amuse her. The winner gets to go free, with enough riches to let them live comfortably for a few years until they’re drafted into the Solar Army. The losers get a slow, painful death.
