How to beat Rainbow Dash in a Soccer match

I have done it...I think I have solved the impossible. Have I discovered the cure for cancer? No. Have I found a way to not pay taxes to my IRS? Again, no. Have I discovered a magic artifact that gave me immortality? No no and no. But I THINK I figured out how to beat Rainbow Dash in a soccer match. Yes. I, Anon have spent the last few months watching how Rainbow Dash plays from the stands and I have figured out the holy secret. I am currently discussing this as I sit with Soarin and Flash at the lunch table.

"Dude, if you think you can beat Rainbow then either you've gone crazy or the world is going to end." Soarin told me.

"Yeah, dude. No one has ever beaten her. Not even Soarin and he's the only other best player we got in this school." Flash added. I smirked.

"Well you two obviously haven't figured out the secret."

"Dude, I'm telling you, she's going to annihilate you so hard," Soarin pointed out.

"I doubt that, because I noticed something every time I see her play," I chuckled. "Have you ever noticed how quickly she reacts on the field?"

"Yeah, that's her reaction time, it's literally one of the reasons why she's so good." Flash said.

"Well that's where I start to see a window of opportunity. Sometimes she might react too quickly and that could be my advantage. I learned this new move and I'll be happy to show you after school if you want."

"Sounds good. I'll catch you later," Flash said as we left for our classrooms after lunch ended.

After school I meet up with Flash and Soarin on the field ready to show them my trick. I put my foot on the ball and said to Soarin, "Wanna do a quick one on one with me? First to 3 wins"

"Sure, you can even start with the ball," he said. "But be warned, I am pretty good."

"Oh I don't doubt you are," I smirked. Once we got into position I dribbled the ball towards the goal and Soarin was coming at me. Now this was the moment I was waiting for as he got closer I readied myself and acted like I was going to make a shot only to fake it at the last second by maneuvering my direction. This caught Soarin by surprise and he ended up falling on his butt as I continued to dribble the ball towards his goal and score a point.

"What in the sweet blazes?!" he gasped and got back up.

"You take the ball now," I said. Now this time he had the ball and was coming towards my goal. As he got closer I gained up on him. His dribbling was really good so I had to focus a bit harder but with quick reaction time, I was able to steal the ball from him and make my way towards his goal but he was fast and able to catch up with me so I pulled another move on him. When he got close, I put my foot on top of the ball and did a 360 spin turning my back to him as the momentum took me pass my opponent. I dribbled and scored another goal. Now it was 2-0. Meanwhile Flash who had been watching the whole time was so shocked he had his mouth open.

"Dude, your moves are so broken!" Soarin panted. I grinned.

"One more point for me," The latter dribbled the ball towards my goal as I saw him coming closer towards me, this time he was able to get pass me and score a point. "Nice job," I told him.

"Thanks. I think I might be making a comeback!" he smirked. I dribbled the ball towards his goal and I had another trick. I kicked the ball but this time only to make it go in the air, I quickly stopped the ball in the midair and kicked it to the side all with my same foot. Once again I was able to score another point. I had won 3-1.

"Gg, man." I said.

"Wow...No one besides Rainbow Dash has ever beaten me before." Soarin said.

"So what you guys think? I have a chance against Rainbow or what?" I asked.

"Maybe but she's a lot better than me, so I wouldn't get your hopes too high."

"Please, I'm sure I can destroy her on the field, it might be a little hard but I'll manage."

"Really? Then why don't we go one on one right now?" said a voice that was not Flash's or Soarin's. My eyes went wide as it looked like Flash was pointing to someone behind me.

"Ummm she's right behind you,"

I give a confused look as I turned around and I nearly jumped seeing Rainbow Dash looking straight into my soul. "Rainbow Dash?! What are you doing here?!"

"I just came to practice on the field then I overheard you saying you'll destroy me?" She had a devilish smile

Well it looks like I had sealed my inevitable fate but I told her nonetheless, "I think so in fact I know I can beat you."

"First to 4 wins." She said. "Or unless you're scared of losing to a girl."

"You're on." I said confidently. I feel Soarin put a hand on my shoulder.

We did a coin flip to determine who would get the ball first. Unfortunately it landed on tails which Rainbow had called out. Now after getting into position, she started to dribble towards my goal and I started to pressure. Now one difference between her and Soarin was she was much faster than him so it was harder for me to steal or kick the ball away but not impossible. When she tried to make a shot, I blocked it with my foot and my heart started to race in my chest as I started to dribble the ball to her goal now. I actually stole the ball from her! This is already amazing on its own!. When Rainbow Dash caught up to me I pulled the first move I did on Soarin and pretended like I was going to shoot but like before I faked it and believe it or not, IT ACTUALLY WORKED! Rainbow who thought I was actually going to kick tried to block but ended up getting caught off guard and falling on her butt as I easily scored my first point. "One-zero!" I said loudly.

"Alright buddy, I was just going easy but now you're going to get embarrassed," Rainbow said now more driven to beat me. She once again started to come at my goal but I think she learned from last time because even with my quick reaction time, she was able to get the ball pass me and score a point. "One-One!" She said.

Now I had the ball and was about to make my way towards her goal. In my mind, I wondered if this would work a second time. Once again, I acted like I was going to kick and Rainbow was hellbent on blocking my shot but I faked it and dribbled the other way. SWEET BLAZES IT ACTUALLY WORKED A SECOND TIME! She ended up falling on her butt yet again as I scored another point. "2-1!" I said happily. How she fell for that again I have no idea.

"Can you stop doing that?" She asked a bit annoyed.

"Why?"

"It's a bit annoying."

"Okay I'll stop," I promised. But I had a few more moves. When I caught site of Rainbow coming towards me ready to shoot I started to pressure again and when she tried to shoot I intercepted and kicked the ball underneath between her legs and sprinted towards the ball that was rolling towards her goal. I somehow got the ball first and started to dribble but with Rainbow starting to gain up on me, I had another trick. The second move I pulled on Soarin. I did the 360 move as she tried to get closer and easily made it past her. I scored another goal. "3-1!" I cheered.

For perhaps the first time, Rainbow Dash was starting look nervous but more determined than ever. "Ok now you're asking for it!" When I saw her moving in with the ball, She was able to get past me by and scored a point. "3-2! You better be ready for a comeback!" She said now even more competitive than ever before. Now this was my chance to win this and I have a perfect move that I can not resist doing. The move? It's called "The Rainbow" and since her name is Rainbow Dash I figured this was the most fitting to pull off. As I dribbled, I got closer to her goal and she started to pressure me once again. I rolled the ball slightly up behind behind on my heel with my dominant leg and with the other one I flicked it over her head and ran past her. "What?!" She says completely shocked. This was it! I was going to beat her! My heart was racing faster than ever as I did one more kick and scored.

"How?!" Rainbow Dash was in shock. "H-How did...what?! No way....Nu uh you had to be cheating!"

"Nope we all saw it he was playing legit." Flash said as Soarin nodded. But they weren't the only ones watching. A whole crowd has formed including Rainbow's other friends.

"Wow...I don't think anyone's ever beaten Rainbow Dash in a soccer match before!" Pinkie said

"But how did you do it?" Rainbow asked me. "I don't understand."

"You did great, but I think it's safe to say I am better," I smiled. "You were much harder than Soarin." I turned to him. "No offense."

"It's alright, she is much better," he said.

"And to answer your question, I just learned while watching you play. I noticed your reaction time was very quick and I figured sometimes you would react too quickly. I was going to just do that fake kick over and over but you were getting pretty annoyed so I stopped."

"Yeah it was getting annoying but maybe I do react too quickly, but even so you shouldn't be this good just from watching me."

"He might be controlled by some other person who's helping him win!" Pinkie gasped.

"I really doubt that, Pinkie darling," Rarity said. "But it is a bit suspicious."

"I don't think it's magic," Twilight said. "If it was I think we would have noticed it by now."

"I don't think it's magic either, but Rarity's right." Sunset agreed. "Especially considering not many people knows about you and you just show up and beat Rainbow."

"Yes I'm not the most well known guy at this school but that doesn't mean I'm not any good. When I was still in Cloudsdale High, I was ranked in the top 3 in the school and placed 5th overall in placements for best in the region," I explained. "I've been playing soccer since I was 4 years old."

"Wow....that is real dedication." Rainbow muttered.

"Wait you mean Cloudsdale that's considered of the best in our region?" AppleJack asked. I nodded.

"Mhm."

"Let's rematch next week! and this time you won't win so easily!" Rainbow said.

"Alright but this time, I get to pull whatever moves I want."
