The Prince's Predicament
Chapter the Twenty-Fourth: Everything You Know is Wrong
Previous ChapterNext ChapterShining awoke well-rested for the first time in days. He'd not felt so refreshed on waking up in so long that it instantly put him in a good mood, despite the dream. He felt like rolling over and making sweet love to his wife.
But as soon as he moved, he felt something weighing him down. Something heavy. He looked down at his chest, and he smiled, letting out a small snort of a chuckle. Diamond had climbed on top of him in the middle of the night and had planted herself there, wrapping her hooves around his chest.
Shining took a deep breath and moved his hoof down to her flank. She'd taken very good care of him last night, and he was very grateful. Perhaps, because she'd helped him sleep well, he'd do something nice for her. She had said that everything in front was off-limits, but he could still manage.
He started with her butt. It was soft and plump, and it felt good in his hooves. He loved it when there was a plushness to be found here, as it felt so good when his hips crashed into something that bounced back. If he wanted to feel like he was pressing his hips to a brick wall, he'd find a glory hole. Come to think of it, there was one at her restaurant.
However, as his hooves started down toward her thighs, she shifted, and something hit his groin. It wasn't his own, as that was pressed against his other leg. He lifted up the sheet, and poking through the side of Diamond's panties was a small penis. In fact, as memories of the last time he'd seen her came rushing back, he recognized it. This was the very same one he'd been afraid to do anything with when it came through the glory hole. It was the same shape, same colours, and holding a couple of bits near it to confirm the size sealed it. Diamond was not a waitress, but a waiter, as well as an unsatisfied client.
He was also starting to wake up. Shining quickly tucked the sheets back down. He was going to confront Diamond about it, anyway, he just didn't want to seem like he was staring.
Diamond stretched and flexed, before settling back on Shining's chest. "Good mo--" He coughed a few times, as his voice had deepened. Perhaps that was his natural voice, and he was trying to hide it under the dress with everything else? "Good morning, my prince. Sleep well?"
"I did," nodded Shining. "I slept really well. Looks like you had a pretty nice dream, too."
"Hm?"
Shining shook his head. "I owe you an apology, Diamond."
"Really? What for?"
"Do you remember the night I visited your restaurant?"
Diamond chuckled. "Well, it's not my restaurant, per se, but yeah."
"You and I made a deal, and I backed out."
Diamond scrunched up his face. "I don't recall that."
Shining picked up a few bits and pushed them down below the sheets, pressing them against his morning wood. Diamond looked horrified. "I know those are supposed to be anonymous," Shining sighed. "But the language you used made it sound like you were asking for drugs. The egg on my face when your cock came in... I looked then like you do now."
"I, um..."
"I left you high and dry, and for that, I'm sorry."
Diamond glanced over to Cadance. "Please, please don't tell the princess..."
Shining shook his head. "I wasn't going to. She doesn't have to know." He took a deep breath. "But I would like to know why you're hiding all of this."
"Hiding what?"
"Well, you're a stallion, right? There's nothing wrong with being a stallion, and now that I've heard you, I can hear the falsetto in your voice. Doesn't that hurt your throat?"
Diamond looked down and clenched his eyes shut. "It's because nopony liked me," he said in his normal voice. "I like spending time with other ponies, but they didn't like me. So, I changed myself. When I'm a stallion, I couldn't even convince any of my colt friends to invite me to a trading card game. They even turned me away because they thought a nerd like me would scare away the mares. So, I told everypony I was leaving, and nopony cared. I even opened a P.O. box, and the only mail I receive are bills.
"SoI packed up all my stuff in a wagon, left town, dressed up as a mare, and moved back in. I took up my old job, went to the same shops, only instead of being asked to leave, ponies I never met would walk up and invite me to do stuff with them. I just... I finally found a way to be happy, and I'm afraid to reveal the truth, because then I'll just be a loser again. I want to be Diamond Dust, not Perceived Platitude. Ponies like me this way, and I want to be liked."
Shining gently rubbed his back. "It's okay. I understand." He wanted to be a comfort to him. "Diamond Dust, is it?"
He nodded.
"Well, what kind of prince would I be if I let slip the painful secret of a pretty mare such as yourself?"
Diamond smiled and wiped her face. "Thank you, your highness."
Shining looked over to Cadance. She was still asleep. "Can I ask you something, Diamond?" he whispered, careful not to wake her.
"Of course."
"How does it feel, when a stallion goes up your butt?"
Diamond fidgeted a little bit. "At first, or now?"
"Both?"
Diamond thought about it for a moment. "It was awful, at first. I just stuck with it because all I really wanted was to be accepted and liked, and that's why I was only doing it that way. I actually ended up being beaten up a few times by stallions that found out I couldn't do anything but oral and anal. They didn't say anything, thank Celestia, but that's how I learned to put on makeup. It's a lot easier now, though. I had my doctor smooth it all out so they all go in easier. The operation's a little bit painful on its own, but it helps."
Shining nodded. "Do you enjoy it?"
Diamond shook his head. "No. It's kind of numb now. But I do enjoy the feeling of a stallion shooting a load into me. I like making other ponies happy, so if they're satisfied, that just finishes me off right then and there."
Shining took a deep breath. "Okay."
