Prologue: Transported to Equestria
In the land of Equestria in the depths of Ponyville, Our story starts at the pony side after their Friendship adventures from the Gala, with the one who started it: Twilight Sparkle and her friends.
It was simply a beautiful day in which the sun was shining, the birds were chirping in the air, and not a cloud was in sight, due to the Pegasus ponies clearing out the skies. And where was Twilight of all places? Inside the Library, cooped up in the basement and there was a bookworm crawling through from the bookshelves.
And she could be spotted as a bookworm, too. Just look at how deep her face is in the book. How she cuts off anything that isn't in the manuscript, glancing, steeling her eyes on them. Her attention focused on it completely, her ears noting only the drip drop of water droplets. Like she was in a whole other world, consumed with the paper-filled object in front of her. Her brain soaked up all the knowledge it offered. The book's ever-interesting topic reeled her in like a fi
"Hey Twilight, how's it going?"
The surprise at the miniature purple and green dragon's appearance caused Twilight to jump multiple feet in the air, hitting her head on the ceiling and coming back down. As her peer, assistant dragon helped her up, Twilight gave him a wicked glance.
"Spike! What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be organizing the Library books… again?"
Spike waved his hand in dismissal. "Already got it done. You've been down here longer than you thought. Speaking of which, what's that book you got there? Huh? Huh?" he quizzed her, trying to get a sneak peek at what lay on the book's papers.
Twilight hugged the book close to her chest. "If you must know, Spike, I'm researching a higher level magic of teleportation. It seems that if you are talented enough, you can teleport other ponies to places, and even bring them to you, granted they want to, of course."
"Coooooooooool!" exclaimed Spike. However, he detected an inkling of sadness in Twilight's voice. "…but what's the catch behind the spell?"
"The catch is, even I don't think I can pull this off!" Twilight said, using her magic to open the book to a set of pages with complicated diagrams. "One small mistake, and off goes an appendage! I just need somepony to test this on, that's all…" Spike let out a sigh of relief. That 'somepony' word meant that he, a dragon, would not be used for testing…today.
As Twilight pondered which friend she would ask/beg to help with her spell, the universe already chose for her. Out of nowhere, a large pink object flew at Twilight Sparkle at high speeds, crashing into her and pinning her to the ground. Twilight knew this pink object as Pinkie Pie.
"Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh ooooooooh! Can I do it? Can I? Can I? Can I?" Pinkie Pie pleaded as she came out of nowhere.
"Pinkie Pie! How in Celestia's mane did you get in here?" asked Twilight, who was still pinned under her.
"Well, since I didn't see you outside I'd thought I'd go see where you'd gone, or, considering where you're at, haven't gone.” Pinkie cheekily said, ”So getting in here I sneaked passed Spike and tiptoed down here, to the basement, where I watched you read that book until Spike came and I jumped out, which is right now!"
At times like these, Twilight half wonders if her party-loving friend can bring Pinkie being Pinkie herself. The other half wondered if she was just sugar high on all the cupcakes she made. Either way, Pinkie Pie being here could turn out to be a boon.
"Well, if you can get off me, I'm sure I can start doing the spell instantly." At this, Pinkie Pie let out a joyful cry and jumped off Twilight. Getting up, Twilight saw that Pinkie Pie was prancing around like the floor was made of hot coals, abet with a smile on her face.
"Okay…let's get started," Twilight said, feeling slightly anxious. She opened the book to the corresponding pages. Glancing down at them, she began to recite the spell in ancient tongues; ones not used for many a millennium.
As she spoke, she saw a blue tall portal stand in the middle of the room. She was so excited about this that she accidentally skipped an important passage in the book, one that told you how to pick your destination. Without it, the portal would just pick on its own. They didn't know that, however, so she kept on reading.
Pinkie Pie, showing a great interest in the portal, stepped up to it. However, as she neared it, she suddenly stopped and turned to face Twilight, a smile still on her face.
"Hey, look! It seems like they're coming to us !" Twilight looked up to see three silhouetted figures standing in the portal. However, as she had stopped reading, the portal began to destabilize, becoming wilder by the second. Twilight tried to get back on track, but it was too late. The portal exploded, flinging Spike, Twilight, and Pinkie Pie into the wall. Almost immediately, they fell unconscious.
It was a pretty normal day for the Eds in Peach Creek. They were on their way to scam the kids out of their well-earned cash for the sake of getting jawbreakers. Eddy has another mischievous scheme for one of his scams, which gave him an idea for Double D and Ed. All they needed was to get to Ed's house to get his horse costume and perform some cowboy-style promo to scam the Neighborhood Kids in the Cul-da-Sac.
All the Eds were running wildly, each with their own distinctive mark: Double D ran with his arms tucked in, Eddy ran like he was reaching for his unobtainable future of wealth and cha-ching, and Ed ran like some person whose upper half didn't work, trailing behind him like a flag.
Double D looked back to see how Ed was doing, and then noticed something wrong with him.
"Um, Eddy? We're short one Ed." The now duo slid to a halt, looking back to confirm that Ed was no longer with them.
"What's with that lump? Why I outta…" he left that threat unfinished as he backtracked to find Ed. Eventually, they found him in an alleyway, along with something that looked like it did not belong there. "Uh... Ed? What's that thing doing there?"
It looked like a rounded oval of blue energy, standing above all the Eds. However, the most concerning part was not the object, but rather that Ed was walking slowly toward it. due to his curiosity.
"So cool…" said Ed softly, stretching out his hands to it, drawn to it like a moth to the flame. “I must touch it!”
"NO ED, DON"T!" his friends called out to him, trying to get him to turn back. Their plea fell on deaf ears, however, as Ed advanced towards it ever so slowly. Seeing no other way, the smaller two Eds tackled Ed, trying to push him to the ground. However, they had too much umph in it, instead knocking them all into the portal. They didn't get to see what lies in the portal, however, when they arrived at their new destination, they immediately blacked out.
Little did they know what awaited them when they woke up…
As Eddy's eyes began to open, he could only see dark shapes, not being able to make them out. He tried to get up, but for some reason, his body felt the same as if he wasn’t grouchy to wake up. As he looked down, he looked at the floor that it’s a different place they were in. However, as his vision began to sharpen, he saw that they were actually not in Ed’s House and room. But instead of somebody’s home, they’re transported into.
A disgruntled 'ooooohhhh…' came from the left of him. Turning his head was Double D moaning and trying to stretch his body to know what had happened at entering through the portal.
Eddy's eyes went wide as he recognized Double D was dazzling from his mind but also want to know where they are.
"D-double D?" he asked, afraid of the answer. Double D turned his head, groggy eyes set on Eddy.
“Eddy… is that you?" Double D replied, raising his arms to rub his eyes… then finding out the horrible truth that there are in a different dimension instead of Ed’s House.
"Egad, Eddy!" shouted Double D, now fully awakened. "We’ve been transported to a new dimension from a Dream inside of somebody’s house! Someone, wake me from this nightmare!"
Not one to displease, Eddy slugged him in the shoulder with his hands, with confirmation that this isn’t a Dream at all.
Rubbing his shoulder, Double D kept on talking. "Well, that disproves my theory. But.. where are we, Eddy."
"Well, how do you know that I'm not the one dreaming, Mr. Smarty-Pants?" said Eddy, closing his eyes and wearing a smirk on his face. “And where’s Ed huh? This isn’t his house, so whose house is this anyway?”
Rubbing his shoulder, Eddy now wore a scowl on his face.
"Well, that debunks my idea too." Double D said as he held his hands against his head, shaking them slowly. "B-but how is this possible? It defies everything and anything I know about multiple sciences! T-there must be a logical explanation to this!"
"Logic, smogic, it's simple: we've been transported to a different dimension that someone used a portal to lead us to its demise." Glancing up at Edd's forehead, his eyes beheld another sight.
"And… it seems like someone gave you something extra, 'Charlie',” Eddy said, trying to stifle a grin.
Trying to figure out what he meant, Edd raised a hand to his forehead and hit something; judging by Eddy's statement, Double D guessed this place looked like a tree doom that someone lives in a forest. However, Eddy's own major feature was pointed out to him soon enough.
"Is this Sarah’s Doll House, Eddy?" said Ed, pointing out the inside of the house.
"What the-? Ed, how long have you been awake?"
Ed pondered this question and in Ed fashion, he’s speaks as if nothing happened.
"Well, I woke up a while ago to look around to see books around in Sarah’s Doll House, but you two were napping, so I just stared at you until you woke up," said Ed, with a creepily happy smile on his face.
"But… this isn’t Sarah’s toy box or your house, Ed?" shouted Double D. “Who’s house is this we're livin-”
"Whoa, that's the last time a try a spell like that for a while…" said another voice. Looking over to the wall, the Eds noticed a purple unicorn, a pink pony, and a sleeping baby dragon (who was still snoozing) that began to stand up. Shaking their head to clear off dazedness, their attention quickly fell to the three Eds.
Silence took hold of them as each group faced one other. Finally, The Eds screamed to see two living magical equines and a baby dragon in front of them.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Double D screamed, at the impossibility of it all.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Twilight also screamed, seeing the Eds in action.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Eddy and Ed screamed loudly to witness it as it ain't a dream at all.
"Oh, are we having a screaming contest? Let me join! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!" Pinkie Pie screamed, and she didn't stop until she noticed everyone else had stopped screaming and had begun to stare at her. "That must mean I win, I guess."
"Okay, someone's going to answer my questions, the first one being how did we get here?" asked Eddy.
Before Twilight had a chance to explain, Ed did that before her.
"It is simple, Eddy. We have entered a wormhole and were spewed into a universe where there are mythical creatures who speak and around this universe in a land called Equestria! With two royal creatures contouring the sun and moon, flying creatures control the weather, horn creatures using magic, and horses inhabit the land." Ed spread out his arms to achieve a dramatic effect.
"You're such a lumpy coal sack of stupid, Ed." stated Eddy.
“So, let me see if I'm understanding this correctly, Ed” Double D calmly stated and he took a deep breath and continued.
“We are in a wide, vast kingdom known as Equestria, which is populated by all manner of colorful talking equines. The weather itself is not wild and free of control but rather is manipulated by pegasi and the only place where the weather flows in a manner similar to what we're accustomed to their inhabits, where Unicorns use magic and Earth Ponies have a better understanding of cultivation by tending the earth. And the kingdom as a whole is a diarchy ruled over by two royal sisters who control the sun and moon.”
“Yep, that sounds about right,” Pinkie Pie confirmed.
Double D took in another long, deep breath as he pinched the bridge of his nose. Eventually, he released this one with a tired and exasperated sigh, letting his shoulders droop as he calmly looked around Twilight's library.
“Well, I would venture so far as to say that this is quite possibly the strangest situation the three of us have found ourselves in, but with the frequency of our madcap mishaps... I somehow doubt that may be the case...” he commented sadly.
"Actually, he's kind of correct," said Twilight. "I was practicing a spell when it accidentally brought you three here. I just have to get the spell book…"
Her eyes looked around until they fell upon an awful sight: Spike, sleeping, lightly breathing out a tongue of flame, and holding a burnt book close to him.
"IS THAT THE BOOK SPIKE?!" Twilight screamed. Spike, who had slept through the previous shouting, now woke up.
"Mmm…what…" Spike said sleepily, rubbing his eyes. His first sight was Twilight glaring down at him.
"What?" he asked. He then peered down at the book he had burned in his sleep. "Oh… My sleep snooze did it again, didn't I?"
"Yes, you did, and because of that, I can't send these three creatures," she pointed to the Eds, "home?"
"WHAT?!" yelled every Ed. Eddy was about to lunge at Spike but was held back by Ed and Double D to calm his temper down that violence is not the answer to their problem.
"YOU FUSSPOT DRAGON FREAK!!! I'd strangle you right now if it weren’t for your blabby horse friend’s experiment!" Eddy yelled at the purple dragon, which made Spike gulp.
"Now, now, let's not panic," Twilight calmly told the Eds. "And we're ponies. I know you three must be scared, but let me assure you, I will alert Princess Celestia immediately of this. Maybe she has the answer to how to get you guys back home to your world"
Twilight returned to Pinkie Pie's side. "In the meanwhile, we should get to know each other better. I'm Twilight Sparkle, this is Pinkie Pie, and this is my assistant dragon, Spike. So, who are you thr-“
AH! NO! EVIL BIG CHAOS SKINNY MONSTER FROM PONY CASTLE TAKING OVER THE WORLD! GET OUT OF ED'S HEAD!" Ed yelled, pounding his head against the cement floor. He received very weird looks from the other trio. Double D gave a sheepish grin.
"Um, just ignore him," he said, chuckling weakly. He then cleared his throat. “He must’ve been watching too many television of horror movies.”
Well, um, I suppose introductions are in order, yes. This is Eddy, that's Ed," Double D pointed to Ed, who had finally stopped his self-infliction to shake his mind off from some flashback of his nightmare. "And they call me Double D."
"Why do they call you that?" asked Spike.
"Because my name is also Edd, but with two d's," said Eddward. He nodded his head in understanding.
"So, what should we do now that you're here?" asked Twilight.
Pinkie Pie immediately spoke up. “Oh, I know! We should take them around town, show them the sights, and introduce them to our friends!"
"Pleeeeeeeeeeeease? Pwetty please?" She turned to the Eds and puppy-eyed at the trio.
"Oh, alright, since we got nothing better to do, I guess we can see what this other dimension looks like," said Eddy. “And because we're not in Peach Creek, let’s hope we’re just exploring this universe from a fever dream.”
Pinkie Pie let out a small "Yayyyyyyyy!" and preceded to rush out of Twilght's library, followed by Twilight and Spike. The Eds followed them outside, but not before Ed had this interesting thing to say.
Though finding it hard at first as benign transported to a different world, the Eds eventually learned that Equestria is inhabited by mythical creatures that belonged to a children’s fantasy book.
"Hey, monobrow, look, this land looks like Sarah and Jimmy’s toy room!” Laughed Eddy.
"Ah, come on Eddy!" Ed said back. “At least Sarah can leave you alone when she gets angry at you.”
"It seems that we’re at least aren’t targeted by your scams, Eddy," Double D said.
Confused at Double D's words, Eddy followed his friends but discovered something else about the ponies.
"What the heck is that in your flank, Sparkle?” Eddy questioned, as he looked at Twilight and Pinkie’s flank.
"Oh, that ," said Twilight, not looking the least worried. "That's just a cutie mark."
"Cutie mark?" questioned Eddy and Edd. Ed nodded his head, knowing what they were talking about.
"A cutie mark appears when a pony finally realizes what they enjoy in life and their talent of what they represent. It's kind of like an image that describes you perfectly. For example…"
Twilight took a closer look at Pinkie’s mark to demonstrate to Eddy what they represent.
"Pinkie Pie’s cutie mark represents herself spreading hope and joy and her desire to entertain her friends.”
"Well, for a sugar rush Pony, that explains the balloons in her flank!" Eddy said, practically drooling due to wanting to get the sweets in Sugarcube Corner.
Twilight rolled her eyes, and then they went over to the Carousel Boutique.
"Alright guys, this is the Carousel Boutique, Rarity's home." Twilight took a deep breath as she opened the door. "Please be polite, and try to let it down gently that you're from another dimension."
Pinkie Pie, however, had other plans to plan a welcoming party for the Eds.
Rarity barely got to say "Hello" before Pinkie Pie was jumping all around her.
"Oh-my-gosh-you-would-not-believe-what-happened-today-okay-Twilight-was-experimenting-with-a-new-spell-when-something-happened-and-then-these-three-appeared-and-we-started-to-shout-and-" Pinkie took a deep breath before saying and shooting about the Eds and where they came from.
“THEY'RE FROM ANOTHER WORLD!" she practically screamed as she pointed to the Eds.
Twilight facehoof'd, Double D looking dumbfounded, Eddy was confused, and Ed smiling like Pinkie explaining everything to them. So much for letting it down, though for Pinkie Pie this was pretty gentle.
"Hmm…another world, you say…" said Rarity calmly. She set her gaze on Edd's ski cap.
"Well, this explains the fashion sense. No one from this dimension would EVER be caught in that. He let me relieve you of it…"
However, as her hoof reached up to Double D's head, she was blocked by Ed and Eddy.
"NO!" shouted all the Eds.
"What's your problem?' Rarity asked as she retracted her hoof. "I just wanted to take a look at this creature's mane for a second."
"Miss…Rarity, is it? While I do appreciate the concern, I'm afraid I wear this hat for more… practical reasons." Double D sorrowfully said as he doesn't want his hat to be taken off.
"Oh, if it's a messy mane I can-" the white unicorn's attention was caught by the other Eds, however, as they slowly shook their heads. She immediately knew why he would want to wear such a terrible hat. "Oh... I didn't think it was used to hide something other than hair…"
Twilight coughed to catch everyone's attention. "It seems we got off at the wrong hoof. Rarity, this is Ed, Edd (or Double D), and Eddy."
"Nice to meet you three," Rarity said, and shook each Eds' hands, even Ed's slightly dirty hands.
"We're exploring Ponyville with the Eds. Do you want to tag along?" said Twilight.
"Sure, darling, just let me lock up the store," said Rarity, and thus another pony joined their little expedition.
They were now outside of Sweet Apple Acres, leaning on the fence, watching Applejack buck off the apples from the trees. After she was done, she went over to the group.
"Howdy ya'll," Applejack said and glanced over to the Eds. "So, who's yer friends over there?"
After introducing themselves, the Eds told her how they got here. Applejack was skeptical of this.
"Wait, ya'll be telling me that these here creatures ar' from some 'al-ter-nate' dimension?" The Eds nodded yes.
"And Twilight said she brought you all here due to her magic experiments?" Applejack asked, raising an eyebrow. "How do I know yer telling me the truth?"
As the Eds tried to think up reasons to prove this, Ed already thought of one. Going over to Double D, Ed grabbed the sides of his head.
"Ed, what are you doin-" he was quickly silenced, however, as Ed laid his lips on Double D's.
Everyone's jaw dropped, but Pinkie Pie's actually hit the ground due to the shocking discovery. However, before everyone could think of what Ed just did to Double D, he blew into Edd's mouth (in a cartoony fashion). By cartoon logic and physics, this blew up his hat like a balloon, which, with Double D holding on for dear life, holding his hat and breath, began to float upward. However, he could not hold onto what he wanted so desperately to say.
"Ed ger-" this action caused him to jet all around the sky like a deflating balloon, crashing back right where he was.
Ed had a smile on his face. Not creepy, but get a normal smile like he's finished what he accomplished.
"That…was just…ew," stated Spike. "Let's not talk about that...
"Well, I guess I got no choice but to 'cept the fact that you aren't round here," said Applejack. "And is Double D fine after Ed's... y'all know… weird stuf-?"
"TOOTHPASTE!!! SOMEONE, GIVE ME TOOTHPASTE PLEASE!!!" asked, neigh, demanded Double D. Pinkie Pie pulled a toothbrush that had a bit of toothpaste on it out of nowhere and handed it to Edd. He began to franticly brush his teeth from Ed's... weird unusual act.
"Soooooo, Applejack, want to come with us?" asked Rarity.
Applejack shrugged. "Well, since I've done all my chores, I'm free." With that, she hopped over the fence to join the group. So they all departed to Rainbow Dash's place, with a now Ed germ-free Double D right behind them.
When the Eds reached Rainbow Dash's house, they were impressed, to say the least. A house made of clouds will do that to a person. Luckily for Twilight, she was able to give a spell to the Eds a way to walk on clouds so they wouldn't fall off completely.
Rainbow Dash, races out of her house to meet her friends, hovering above them all.
"Hi, Twi! Wasn't expecting you three to be here," she said, giggling at her own little joke. Her gaze then met the Eds and was shocked they were able to walk through the clouds.
"So... Who do we have here, huh?" Rainbow asked curiously, "Some weird creatures from another branch of Equestria? Eh... Biggy Wiggy, so who are you guys anyway?"
"I'm Ed…"
"I'm Double D…"
"And I'm Eddy!" he said, pushing his face close to hers, and staring her down. For some reason, he could feel that they had the same thing in common: they wanted to be better than one another.
The stare went on for a long time but was cut short to meet another pony. However, before Twilight could ask them to politely stop, Rainbow Dash broke down, falling on the ground and giggling.
"Alright, little man," which was true, because Eddy was shorter but at a height of an average pony, "it seems you've got spunk. I like you, much like Scootaloo." She raised up her hoof to pony fist. Eddy, unsure what to do, raised up his own hand and felt as she lightly tapped it with her own.
"Alright, Rainbow, Eddy, we still got Fluttershy to see," said Rarity.
"Oh... By the way, did I mention I'm from another dimension, Rainbow?" Eddy spoke up and smirked at Rainbow.
"Woah... So you guys are from another world." Rainbow gazes, "No wonder why Twilight's spell got you all three here in the first place."
After telling Dash how Eddy and his friends ended up here, they finally made it to Fluttershy's house. She was outside, currently feeding the animals, but an unexpected turn of events when Ed stepped in.
"CHICKENS!" Ed exclaimed in delight, charging toward his favorite feathered friends. Fluttershy was scared, who wouldn't be if they saw a strange human charge up to her animals, and promptly fled behind a tree stump.
As Ed was chasing the chickens, he felt himself being poked by something. When he looked down, he saw a cute bunny with a mean expression poking him with a carrot.
"Ah, cute bunny," said Ed, reaching out to grab him.
"No, Ed!" Eddy and Double D shouted, but it was too late. He had grabbed the bunny and had lifted him very close to his snout…
Ed suddenly remembered why he couldn't hold bunnies.
"Ah…ah…ah….ACHOOO !" sneezed Ed, the force of this sneeze sending him flying back into some trees, crashing into them and making them tumble.
"I'm okay!" said Ed, holding up a hoof for everyone to see. Luckily, he didn't be showing any symptoms.
From behind the tree stump, Fluttershy giggled.
"I am so sorry about Ed. He has a love for animals, mainly chickens of course, but he’s allergic to bunnies just to warn you.” Double D said as he went over to Fluttershy. "I'm afraid he overreacts sometimes when it comes to animals."
"T-that's okay," said Fluttershy. "Bu-ut who are you?"
"We’ll explain on the way back to the library," Eddy grumbled. " It’ll take ages to explain everything at once."
One big Ed Edd n Explanation mater of later in Twilight’s Library…
"Wow…" said Fluttershy, even softer than usual. "I would have never guessed you were from another dimension, given Twilight’s presence of her magic and experiments like this before."
"And please, don't ask us to verify it… please," said Double D, shuttering at the very unpleasant memory.
"Well, it's getting dark out and I have to get home," said Twilight. The other Elements of Harmony agreed, and the Eds then realized something important.
"Hey, wait, where are we going to sleep?" asked Eddy.
"Well, I could let you sleep over at my place, but only Pegasus ponies can stand on clouds," said Rainbow Dash.
"Double D, as much as I said this before… I'm so sorry about almost removing your hat, I want to make it up to you! You can sleep over at the Carousel Boutique tonight." Rarity said.
"Um, thank you… And it’s fine Rarity" Double D said uncertainly.
"Big Ed here can stay with me and Macintosh. Maybe he can help around the farm tomorrow."
"Yep! I will be as snug as a bug on a rug next to a slug!" said Ed happily.
There was an awkward moment between them all, as they didn't know what to say. Finally, Double D broke the ice.
"So, it looks like another Mis-Edventure for Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy, right?"
"More like Ed, Edd, 'n Pony!" said, Ed.
"Hey, we’re not ponies, Ed, but you dropped something!" exclaimed Eddy. Ed looked around until he got the joke. He laughed, which soon spread to all the others.
So as they finished laughing, they waved each other farewell and waited to see what the Eds would do the next day. They seemed mischievous, but it wouldn't be that must trouble.
The next morning, the Eds and the mane 5 walked to Twilight’s Library to check on her for her findings on figuring a way to take the Eds back to their universe. However, instead of politely knocking, as Pinkie Pie should have, she instead charged through the door. They were not expecting what they saw but the Eds pretty much knew Ed can push that in his boundaries.
The Library was a mess. Books were everywhere, whether they were stacked, looked like they had been flung, or were hanging off the railing. And in the middle of this manuscript cataclysm was the purple pony herself, Twilight Sparkle.
"Come on Spike, come on!" she said to her buried assistant, her mane frizzling and her right eye twitching. "We have to find a substitute for the spell! I can't tell Princess Celestia that-"
She suddenly noticed the array of ponies at her doorstep. Weakly smiling, she combed her mane with her hoof.
"Oh, hi…guys." A moment's silence. "So, um, what brings you guys here? Need to check out a book? Just check out any of them!" She said, spreading her arms out to the collection of books she was waist-deep in.
Suddenly, Spike popped out of the mess and glared at Twilight.
"Twi, tell them the truth…"
"What's tha' matter, Sugercube?" asked Applejack.
Twilight sighed in defeat. "Well, um, you know how I really liked books when I was under Princess Celestia's tutoring? Well, um, she had a personal collection that she showed me, and that…" she had ended up whispering in a voice smaller than Fluttershy's own.
"What was that dearie?" asked Rarity.
"I said, that book…" she mumbled off again.
"Come again?" asked Applejack.
"That book was…"
"One more time," asked Rainbow Dash.
Suddenly, Twilight lunged forward and clung to Double D's neck as though her life depended on it.
"THAT BOOK WAS PRIVATE PROPERTY OF CELESTIA, AND I TOOK IT WITH ME WITHOUT PERMISSION!" she shouted, weeping into Double D's mane. Double D, though struggling to breathe, brushed her mane to calm her down.
"There…there…" said Double D through gasps. "Everything will…be alright…"
"NO IT WON'T !" she replied back, weeping even harder.
"Aw, let Ed hug those tears away, missy," he said, ripping her off from Double
"O-okay, Ed, I'm good!" she gasped, slipping out of his grasp. Taking a few deep breaths, she composed herself.
"Okay, m-maybe you guys are right. I mean, w-what's the worse that could happen?"
"She could banish you!" shouted Ed.
"Or lock you up…" pondered Double D out loud.
"Or banish you and lock you up in the place she banished you too!" completed Eddy.
Twilight made a sound similar to 'nnnnahhhhh', and she would have fainted if not for the quick interdiction of Pinkie Pie.
"Ah, come on, Twi, we'll defend you! That's what friends are for, anyway!" The rest of the ponies and Eds nodded in agreement.
"Y-you're right," said Twilight, wiping the remaining tears from her eyes. "I just have to stand up and take the consequences."
She took a deep breath and said, "Spike, take a-"
"All ready on it!" said Spike, parchment and quill out.
Twilight gulped and continued.
Dear Princess Celestia,
I hate to inform you that I have committed a-no, several- terrible atrocities. You see, the day I left for Ponyville I also took with me your very special spell book, which was part of your special collection you let me look at and borrow, but only for an extended amount of time. But now, the book has been burned, but not before I read off a special teleportation spell. I have accidentally brought creatures from another world here, and now they have no way of getting back home. Please, though you may lock me up, or banish me, or lock me up in the place you banished me to, I plead that you help these new creatures (or humans as they said) called Ed, Edd, and Eddy.

"Let me just send it off," Spike said, after rolling it up and stamping it with the official seal. He opened his mouth wide…
"Oh, what's this?" asked Ed, appearing in front of Spike.
“ED!!! WAIT!!!” The Eds and Ponies shouted before it was too late for Spike to stop. He blew magical fire not only on the scroll but on Ed too, whisking them off to Celestia…hopefully.
Princess Celestia, Goddess of the Sun and Co-ruler of all Equestria, was currently relaxing by the fireplace while her sister raised the moon. Yes, being an immortal figure of power did have its challenges, but simple moments like this made them all melt away. She breathed in the purity of this moment while letting her mind wander.
'I have not received a letter about friendship from Twilight Sparkle for some time,' she thought to herself. She then shrugged her shoulders. 'Some days are less eventful than others. A letter will be sure to turn up eventually…'
And, speaking of the Nightmare Moon, a letter from her foremost student had just popped in! But as she had just unrolled it, another thing started to materialize in the room. Celestia was confused. Was this another letter?
Nope, not at all. For a creature/human wearing a green jacket had just appeared, upside down in the air. Then, gravity took hold of him, and he plummeted into the floor, hind legs sticking out. Celestia, generally worried about this creature/human, raised him out of the hole using her telekinesis. She was met with a very wide grin.
"Hello, my name is Ed."
“What in the Faust… Ed?” Celestia questioned, “Since when did my student send me a strange creature, to begin with…”
The Mane 6 and Eds were standing around the library, waiting and pleading for their green-jacket friend to show up. Double D was especially worried since Ed has gone through mishaps like this before and would be a bad rep for the royal princess of the sun.
"Oh dear," Double D said, pacing around the room. "What if he merged with the letter and his skin is now pure paper? Or, or, only some of him made it through? What if he's out there, all alone, without anyone to guide him?"
"Shesh, Double D, calm down," said Eddy. "Ed has been through worse like that time his parents grounded him and took the stairs off from his room. He'll come through since Ed goes through this kind of lumpy logic he has."
And at that exact moment, Ed appeared with a letter in his mouth like a good dog.
"Whoof!" he barked, dropping the letter at Twilight's forehooves. Hesitantly, she opened it up and began to read.
To my faithful student,
You do not have any reason for fear. Yes, that book was part of my private collection, but books are so much more useful when their knowledge is actually applied, no? Though you are powerfully skilled in magic, I would wait a few years until you try a spell of that size ever again.
However, with your 'Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy' problem (Ed told me they always replaced and with 'n), I am afraid there is some bad news. You see, that book had a multitude of spells that were so complex that I had to write it down to remember it. While I try to remember the incantation, try to make friends with the Eds. Perhaps they could teach you more about the magic of friendship.

P.S. Please do keep an eye on Ed, would you? The transfer process seems to have scrambled him a bit… or was he always like this? In that case, keep a closer eye on him.
And make sure he doesn’t try anything weird or unusual since he’s been asking me way too many questions about gravy, butter toast, and something about his love of animals, mainly chickens. Oh… and that recent incident he did to Double D, as I won’t mention it here anyway.
But, as I mentioned, please make sure you, your friends, and the Eds keep an eye on Ed so he doesn’t try some mishap or whatever he’s doing.
Twilight let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. "Whew, I thought I was a goner there."
"Ed," Eddy said, "What’s one plus one?"
Ed thought this over for a bit. "The answer is Q, my dear friends."
"If anything, I think the flame thingie made him smarter," he said, looking over to Double D.
"Well, if we are here for the duration until this Princess can remember her spell, then I suggest…" he yawned loudly, “You guys want to tell stories before we venture off?”
"…I suggest we could, but who knows what stories we can tell to the ponies," said Double D.
"Alright, but while you all tell stories, I think maybe we can create a potion to help the Princess remember the incantation," Twilight informed/
"Will do," said Double D, saluting her.
As they all came inside Twilight’s library to tell stories of their past adventures, a certain duo of silhouettes was looking through the ponies and Eds, to spy on what they were doing… one where our story will continue in the next chapter.

While this IS an Ed Edd n Eddy crossover, I wanted to put in Ubisoft’s Rabbids within the flare due to Discord being Discord in MLP Fashion. But for this Fanfic Crossover take, Discord created the Rabbids as he wanted his Chaos to spread with them before he was stoned by Celestia and Luna, which made the Rabbids escape from Celestia and Luna to live on without their Chaos Leader. The Rabbids lived somewhere in Equestria between the Undergrounds and the land they live in, somewhere where Discord only knows. The Rabbids are only in to add more chaos for Discord.

Return of Edamorny (Part 1)
It was a lovely day in Equestria, and a beautiful day to be in the fields of Canterlot. In the said garden, Cheerilee was leading the foals of her class through the well-manicured lawn. These foals consisted of the CMC, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Snips, Snails, and Twist.
"I want to start our field trip here, in the world-famous Canterlot sculpture garden," Cheerilee explained, leading them through the garden and pointing out two different statues.
"That one over there represents "Friendship"." It was of three fillies standing on each other's backs.
“Is it always fillies or mares on these statues?” He asked before the rest of the Cutie Mark Crusaders came over, accidentally bonked heads with each other when they tried to look at it at the same time. They glared at one another.
"All right, my little ponies,” Cheerilee said, getting their attention. The six caught up with the others and saw the next Statue Cheerilee was looking at. “This one represents "Victory"." The one she referred to was one of a caped mare standing on her hind legs, holding a flag with three diamonds as stars fly around her hooves. The flag is an actual cloth, not a piece of sculpture.
“How cool would it be to have that for a cutie mark?” Scootaloo asked.
“Cool…if you were actually victory-ful at something.” Apple Bloom sarcastically told her.
“That's not a word!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed.
“What are you a dictionary?” Scootaloo questioned.
“Girls!” Cheerilee called, getting their attention. They quickly joined the class while she pointed out a strange-looking statue that looked like it was laughing wildly with 4 strange-looking bunnies laughing and holding plungers. "Now this is a really interesting statue. What do you notice about it?" She asked, looking among the class.
"It's got an eagle claw!" Apple Bloom called out first.
"And a lion paw!" Scootaloo added, pointing to the item in question.
"And a snake tail!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed.
“And a pony head!” Snips jumped up to be seen before dropping down. “With his bunny companions bribing him as their leader.”
“I was gonna say that Snip.” Snails said utterly.
"This creature is called a draconequus, along with his bunny companions," Cheerilee explained. "He has the head of a pony and a body made up of all sorts of things, and these bunnies have the capacity for their hubris, determination, and… humor for short. But, do you suppose that represents?"
“Confusion!" Apple Bloom said. She was shoved by Sweetie Belle.
"Evil!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed. She was shoved by Scootaloo.
"Chaos!" Scootaloo said.
“Zanyness and Mayhem!” Snips and Snails shouted.
“Hey, Chaos and Mayhem are the same things! Don’t steal my answer!” She shouted at Snip and Snails.
"It's not either one, you dodo!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed.
"Don't call me things I don't know the meaning of!" She exclaimed, glaring at Sweetie Belle. "And it is too chaos!"
"Is not!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed, getting nose-to-nose with her.
Apple Bloom jumped on their heads. “You’re all wrong!” The two moved and as Apple Bloom dropped down, they began fighting with each other. Snips and Snails were no better as they were at each other's necks before getting into a fight cloud themselves. Cheerilee could only shake her head at their antics.
"Actually, in a way, you're all right." She said and the five foals stopped their fighting to look at her. "This statue represents ‘Discord’, which means a lack of harmony between ponies. Along with him are the ‘Rabbids’, who are these strange bunny species created by Discord, they tend to be mischievous creatures who cause mayhem across Equestria and are often found to be smart and dumb due to their nature, but are cute nonetheless." she continued. "In fact, you five have demonstrated Discord and the Rabbids so well that you're each going to write me an essay explaining it."
Out of embarrassment, the Cutie Mark Crusaders’ and Snip & Snails' ears drooped in response while their classmates laughed at them again.
"Now let's go, and I don't want any more fighting," Cheerilee warned as she and the class began walking. The CMC started to argue under their breath. Unfortunately, as the class walked away, the statue began to crack and crackle in stifled waves of laughter.
Back in Ponyville, Rainbow Dash with Eddy riding her was flying around at a fast speed, enjoying the nice day but annoyed with Eddy blabbering about one of his scam ideas to pay for jawbreakers when something pink suddenly whizzed past both of them. They spun for a short time before turning to look at the pink object, who strangely didn’t have the last name Pie, that whizzed past her. Eddy himself was curious but didn’t know how the cloud turned pinkish.
"Come back here, you!" She exclaimed. She and Eddy zipped to the object and was on it in no time, tackling it as soon as she was close. "Gotcha!" She found herself covered with pink gunk.
"Eww, what is this?" She asked as she shook most of it off. She still had some on her, so she took a lick of the substance.
“Some sort of Cotten Candy Cloud.” Eddy said, as he took a bite of it and gave a tasting test, “Hmm… taste like Cotten Candy and Fudge mixed together.”
"Cotton candy?" She recognized before seeing the different parts of the cloud she shook off zipping in all sorts of directions.
Eddy looked above the cloud, making Rainbow look as if something brown dripped out of the cloud and landed on her head.
"Wait for a second!" she protested. "It's not supposed to rain until tomorrow. You can't just-" Before she could finish, brown-colored rain began falling out of the cloud and onto her. She didn’t look the slightest bit amused. "You did."
“After that Cotten Puff Cloud!” Eddy exclaimed. "We got some scamming to do here!"
At Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack and Double D were picking corn and placing it into the cart behind her while Ed straight up ate most of the corn. They both soon heard Rainbow Dash and Eddy’s voices.
“Hey! I didn’t tell you to go anywhere!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed, making Applejack, Double D, and Ed turn around to see them chasing a pink cloud around. Following up were more pink clouds, and soon, chocolate rain came out as well.
“Why did we have to go through those pink clouds, anyways?” Eddy grumbled, "There's already a ton of the raining chocolate right now."
“Rainbow Dash, Eddy, what’s goin’ on with this rain…I mean, chocolate milk…I mean, chocolate-milk rain?!?” Applejack asked, trying to wrap her head around what was happening. Double D noticed it was not just one but more pink clouds.
"Cool! It's a raining miracle!" Ed happily said as he opened his mouth to get some of the chocolate rain to his mouth.
“This isn’t the only place suffering from crazy weather, it’s happening all over Equestria!” Double D exclaimed. Rainbow Dash flew over to confirm.
“He’s right. There’s crazy weather all over Equestria! Cloudsdale’s getting soaked by a major cola storm right now.” Rainbow Dash said.
“Don’t worry, we won’t leave until we get control of Ponyville,” Eddy said as he and Rainbow Dash soon began to fly off. The corn began popping popcorn out, some hitting Applejack and Double D in the face and knocking them into a pile of said popcorn, making Ed munch over the popcorn as he was getting hungry.
Pinkie was diving in and out of Popcorn piles, having a great time doing so.
“Why would you wanna stop this ?” She asked, popping her head out to get a mouth full of the falling Chocolate Milk.
"Yeah, this is a Popcarn YUM-YUM!" Ed agreed as he munched more popcorn in his mouth.
Rarity arrived, just as Applejack and Double D unburied herself, and she was wearing a violet raincoat, matching rain hat, and an umbrella strapped to her back to protect her from the brown rain. "Ahem. I heard about your troubles, Applejack and Double D. And I came to see if there's anything I can do without getting wet. Or dirty. Or out from under my umbrella."
Applejack gave her an unamused look and Double D was confused as AJ listed her unwillingness before both AJ and Double D looked up to see the apples on the trees start to grow big, so big that they were making the trees bend unnaturally. The animals didn’t seem to mind as they jumped at the chance to feast on the apples. Much to the dismay of Applejack.
"Oh dear... since when did apples grow at this scale." Double D said uncertainly. "Something seems off and we'll have to investigate once we clear out this mess."
“Fluttershy, Do Somethin’!” Applejack exclaimed. Fluttershy looked at Angel, who was also partaking in the Apple Feast.
“Now, Angel, you really shouldn’t—” Before she could finish, Angel’s usually short legs, sprouted hooves. Very skinny and horse-like hooves that have grown much, much taller the length of hers.
“No! It’s not possible!” She exclaimed, gasping as she saw more rabbits running by, with the same leg length. “I must be seeing things!”
Twilight (while carrying a book and some of Eddy's jar of bits) and Spike soon arrived and looked at the chaos that was ensuing.
“Don’t worry everyone,” Twilight said, getting their attention. “I’ve learned a new spell that’ll fix everything!”
Spike and Double D looked at her and nodded.
“Do your thing Twi,” Spike said. She smirked and lit her horn. The magic topped it off with a radiating blue/purple shock wave and a flash of white light that made Eddy and Double D turn their heads. However, when the flash went away, nothing changed. Ed turned to see what happened. Nothing changed. He wasn’t the only one surprised since he's gotten used to this mayhem before.
“My fail-safe spell… failed. What do we do?" Twilight asked.
“Uh, give up?” Spike asked, which made Twilight glare at him. Double D placed a blue saddle equipped with a matching umbrella on Twilight’s back.
“Spike, Twilight, we’ll come up with something,” Double D said, then he thought of something. He looked at Ed and Rainbow Dash.
“Rainbow! Eddy! Can you corral all those clouds in one corner of the sky?” Double D asked. Rainbow and Eddy saluted and got to work on zooming through the sky to capture all of the clouds. Rainbow Dash was capturing the clouds and bringing them to Eddy who got a lasso and got around the clouds, keeping them from flying away. Double D then turned to Applejack.
“Applejack, grab some extra rope. We’ll bring those high-strung storm clouds down to earth.” Double D said. Applejack nodded and gave him an extra rope. The two spun the lassos and threw them to the clouds, roping the massive cluster of chocolate rain clouds, and stopping the rain. Pinkie and Ed, who was under one of the clouds and enjoying the chocolate rain felt the rain stop.
“Hey! What happened?” Pinkie asked. Applejack and Eddy brought the cloud down with one mighty tug. Twilight whispered something in Fluttershy’s ears which made her face brighten with delight, going along with the plan.
"Oh, dear." Fluttershy began in an attempt to get the attention of the various animals. "I hope none of the animals see these delicious chocolate-filled cotton candy clouds. I'd hate to have to share them."
"You and me both, sister and friend!" Pinkie said as she and Ed ate the cotton candy rain cloud. That was until the animals raced over and blocked her access to the cloud, much to her dismay. "Hey!"
"Aww... I want some Cotten Candy Fudge." Ed mumbled, "But it's okay, Pinkie and I have eaten too much but at least the animals are having a ride."
“Oh, and make sure you chow down on this delicious popcorn before it’s all gone,” Double D said, helping himself to some of the popcorn he had placed in a bag and giving Eddy a bag of Popcorn before Angel looked at him as he ate some of his in the bag.
“Get your own popcorn Angel,” Eddy grumbled without even opening his eyes.
"You see, Spike? You should never give up. There's nothing we can't overcome if we all work together." Twilight said, happy with their results, and glared at Eddy to know about one of his scheme ideas. "And don't even think about plotting a scam Eddy. You remember when you did one of your scams to Kevin, he was pretty mad at you for you're failed scam attempts."
“Hey, be happy that I was going to plan this scam until something went wrong was happening anyway, Sparkle!" Eddy groaned, "I just didn’t want Ed messing up my shirt and losing the bits. It’s cotton candy with chocolate fudge, you know?”
Suddenly, Spike burped out green flames that transformed into a scroll with the royal seal on it. Double D and Eddy saw this and grabbed the scroll and opened it.
“Oh no. Everyone, Princess Celestia needs us in Canterlot immediately.” Double D told the group. They looked at each other, very worried while Ed was smiling about the princess.
In Canterlot, Celestia was pacing back and forth as the Mane 6 and the Eds came through the door.
“Princess Celestia!” Twilight called. Celestia turned to look at the group.
“We came as fast as we could.” Double D added as they stopped before her.
"Thank you, Twilight, Double D." Princess Celestia stated gratefully. "Thank you, all."
"Is this about the weather?" Twilight began to ask urgently, followed by a series of more questions. "And the animals' weird behavior? What's happening out there? Why isn't my magic working? Is there-?" Celestia held up a hoof to respectfully stop her.
"Follow me. Luna will be there too." She instructed. "There's something that you, your friends, and Eds might need to see this."
Celestia led them to a corridor with stained-glass windows on both walls with Luna.
“I’ve called you all here for a matter of great importance.” Celestia started. Double D was looking at all the stained glass in the room. “It seems an old foe of mine and his little minions, someone I thought I had defeated long ago and escaped, has returned.”
Fluttershy walked away from the group and looked up at one of the stained glass windows. Which was of the draconequus, and four bunnies that looked different than any standard bunny similar to the statue in the garden. Double D was able to put the pieces together while Eddy and Ed were confused.
“Discord and... his Rabbid army,” Celestia said. Fluttershy let out a yelp and zipped over to hide under Double D.
"Uh, who's 'Discord' exactly?" The Eds questioned.
“Exactly.” Luna acknowledged. As Luna continued, the stained glass windows helped tell the story. “Discord is the mischievous spirit of disharmony. Along with him, he created an army of Rabbids who are mischievous bunny creatures who cause mayhem across Equestria. Before my sister and I stood up to him, he and his Rabbid army ruled Equestria in an eternal state of unrest and unhappiness.”
The next stained glass window showed Discord and the Rabbids above three marionette control bars over each pony species while depicting the Rabbids doing chaos and mayhem at the ponies holding plungers. “Luna and I saw how miserable life was for earth ponies, pegasi, and unicorns alike and how the Rabbids inhabited Equestria as their own land as their toybox. So after discovering the Elements of Harmony with some help…”
The final stained glass window showed a petrified Discord and the four Rabbids while most Rabbids were running away, caught in between Celestia and Luna. Having been defeated. “We combined our powers and rose up against him, turning him to stone along with his guardian Rabbids. His Rabbid army is done, but we heard rumors floating around that the Rabbids do live underground beneath the land and live on their own island. An island where Discord is the only one who knows where they live in peace."
“All right, Princess!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed happily.
“Rainbow, wait. There’s more she's going to tell us.” Eddy told her. "Let's hope Ed doesn't go too crazy over bunnies, given he's allergic to them."
“I thought the spell we cast would keep him contained forever. But since Luna and I are no longer connected to the Element…the spell has been broken.” Celestia said as she continued walking.
“No longer connected?” Double D and Twilight said as they looked at each other.
“This is Canterlot Tower,” Celestia said, stopping before a pair of closed double doors in a gold frame topped with a carving of a winged unicorn. On both sides of the door. “Where the Elements are kept inside since all of you recovered them. I need you to wield the Elements of Harmony once again and stop Discord before he thrusts all of Equestria into eternal chaos and starts to bring his Rabbid army back to their chaotic mayhem.”
“We'll do whatever it takes, Princess Celestia” Double D said, willing to do this without question. Twilight wasn’t so on board.
“But why us? Why don’t you-” Twilight tried to ask.
“Hey look! We’re famous!” Pinkie announced, getting their attention. They walk over and look at their stained glass window, which portrayed them in Nightmare Moon’s defeat. There was another stained glass on that side of the corridor, but it was in the front near the door. This made the Eds impressed because they remembered hearing Twilight telling them how they defeated Nightmare Moon with the Elements of Harmony.
"Cool Pinkie!' Ed said and hugged Pinkie, "You girls are heroes!"
"Very impressed for an artifact to defeat a dark villain." Double D said, taking notes.
“You six showed the full potential of the Elements by harnessing the magic of your friendship to beat a mighty foe. Although Luna and I once wielded the Elements, it is you who now control their power, and it is you who must defeat Discord!” Celestia told them. Double looked at the group and then at Twilight. Twilight looked back at him and nodded. Celestia then looks at the Eds. "And as for you three, you'll need their help. Because when he may return with his Rabbid Army, you three must not give up. You'll also need to create your kind of weaponry to defend yourselves too."
“Celestia, you can count on-” Double D tried to say, but Pinkie zipped over.
“Hold on a second! Eternal chaos comes with chocolate rain, you guys. Chocolate rain!” She emphasized.
"Yay! More cotton candy!" Ed shouted.
“And that is worth an eternity of chaotic torment because of what, Pinkie?” Eddy asked her and glared at her on the situation about Discord. Pinkie tapped her chin before narrowing her eyes at him.
“I’ll get back to you on that,” Pinkie said. Twilight slid over to Celestia.
“Don’t listen to her, Princess. We’d be honored to use the Elements of Harmony again.” Twilight said. Celestia and Luna nodded their head and turned to the door. As Celestia inserts her horn into the center of the sun, she hits it with a quick shot of magic and backs away. The six gems on the door began glowing and soon enough, the doors then slid open, unleashing a flash of bright magical light that made everyone but the princess shield their eyes.
Inside the room, there was a jeweled lockbox on a pedestal. Rarity opened her eyes and went wide-eyed at the side of said, lockbox.
“Oooooh…” Rarity shuddered. “You can keep the Elements. I’ll take that case!”
“Have no fear, ponies. I have total confidence that you will be able to defeat Discord…” She showed the box to the group. “With these.”
She opened the box and it was completely empty. The Mane 6, Luna, and Eds gasped as Celestia dropped the book out of shock. Pinkie and Ed were the first to get any words out.
“Oh, well. If anyone needs me, I’ll be outside in the chocolate puddles with a giant swizzle straw!” Pinkie said as she began trotting off.
"Me too!" Ed nodded as he followed Pinkie, "I can't wait to tell baby sister Sarah about this!"

“The elements are gone?!” Twilight and Eddy exclaimed.
“How is that possible?!” Double D exclaimed.
“That chamber is protected by a powerful spell that only I can break! This doesn’t make sense.” Celestia pondered as she paced. A fruity, malicious male laugh was soon heard. Everyone began to look around for the source of the voice.
“Make sense? Oh, what fun is there in making sense?" The voice said.
"Discord… Show yourself!" Princess Celestia demanded. The laugh returned. The Eds stood in front of his friends, sprouting his wings protectively to shield them.
“Did you miss me, Celestia?” The voice asked from the marionette window. All eyes turned that way. The draconequus image begins to move and speak within the stained glass. “I’ve missed you and Luna.”
“I won’t miss this part.” Eddy groaned, "Who is that voice speaking to us?"
Celestia held up a hoof to stop him, and Double D looked around to look at his surroundings. Discord slithered off, past the edge of the image as if on a television screen, appearing in the next image.
"It's quite lonely being encased in stone, but you wouldn't know that, would you, because I don't turn ponies into stone," Discord said, tapping on the head of Fluttershy in the Element of Harmony stained glass.
"Enough! What have you done with the Elements of Harmony?" She demanded.
"Oh, I just borrowed them for a teensy little while,” Discord said before snapping his fingers, making the image of the Elements of Harmony disappear from the window. Celestia scrapped her hoof on the ground in anger.
“Oh, I’d forgotten how grim you can be, Celestia. It’s really quite boring.” Discord insulted. A magic blast hit the window and when it collided, Discord was no longer there, and the window was still intact. Celestia looked back and saw the Eds looked uncanny from Discord/
“No one insults the Princess!” Eddy gritted as he threw a pebble at Discord. Discord popped into the stained glass at the start of the room, on the same side as the Elements defeating Nightmare Moon. The stained glass also shows Celestia taking care of the Rabbids from their island before leaving.
“You must be Eddy. An egotistical brat who has an obsession with scamming anypony for bits for buying Jawbreakers for your Ed friends. I've heard so much about you and your fellow Ed Friends on your... Ed-Ventures.” Discord began before looking at Eddy who wasn't having any of this. “I always thought Celestia would have a fondness for the Rabbids, but since she never brought them to Equestria with the ponies, it's time for me to bring them back."
"And Eddy, you can’t all be a winner when your neighbors make fun of you for your laughable scams. Plus, it's funny when you get scared of Ed's younger sister, who has a temper and would go on a rampage attacking you Eds, or Kevin calling you a 'Dork'.” Discord chuckled at Eddy's past Edventures.
Rainbow Dash flew over to give Discord a bucking for making fun of Eddy, who was annoyed by Discord's mockery, but he disappeared, making her slam right into the window. He reappeared back over to the stained glass he removed the Elements of Harmony.
“Oh, you must be Rainbow Dash." He said, making Rainbow Dash turn to him. "Famed for her loyalty, the Element of Harmony you represent."
"That's right!" Rainbow Dash confirmed. "I'll always be loyal to the Princess! And my friends!” He teleported.
“We’ll see about that.” He said, definitely sounding as though he had a trick up his sleeve.
“I can't believe we're wasting our time talking to a tacky window." Rarity complained and jumped when Discord appeared in the window next to her.
"The beautiful Rarity, representing the element of generosity, if I'm not mistaken?" He asked.
"So you know who we are, big deal," Applejack said.
“That this is supposed to intimidate us? He seemed to not act evil, even for a draconequus who escaped from his stone prison.” Double D added.
"Oh." Discord began, growing bigger so that he filled the window, "I know much more than that, honest Applejack. And I’ll show you how….intimidating I can be Edward..."
"Double D, you're such a pushover and being the smartest of the Eds. Being an egghead like Twilight, you seemed to be defenseless when you and those Kanker sisters tried to... Well... you know what I mean. But honestly, you stepped up and help your fellow Eds from danger. And being afraid of the situations Eddy and Ed tend to cause chaos back in your world where the neighborhood kids would attack you when you're involved in your Ed-Tatics. Still, why are you friends with these two when you have other opportunities."
"You seem to know our strengths too,” Twilight remarked, glaring up at Discord.
“Yes, Twilight Sparkle. And yours is one of the most powerful and elusive Element—magic.” Discord said.
“One of?” Eddy asked. Discord moved on to the last two.
“Fluttershy’s is kindness and Pinkie Pie’s is a personal favorite of mine—laughter.” Discord listed. Twilight looked back at Pinkie and Ed, who were now revealed to be snickering.
“Pinkie!” Twilight exclaimed, disapproval in her voice. Pinkie let out the laugh she was holding back.
“He’s standing on your head!” She said. When they looked up, they saw Discord moonwalking on Twilight’s head.
"Yeah, he's dancing in your head like a chicken, Twilight." Ed giggled.
“Stop stalling, Discord! What have you done with the Elements of Harmony?” Celestia demanded.
“Oh, so boring, Celestia, really!" Discord said, and looks at Ed to talk about him. "But... Let's not forget about Ed. You seemed chaotic. Very random and the strongest of the Eds like Pinkie. You get scared over your litter sister, became a monster causing the neighborhood messy havoc, love on butter toast, monster comics, and chickens, and are unpredictable about your strength really. Ed is the dumb loveable trio of the Eds. Loveable Dumb Ed, Eggheat Smarty Double D, and the leader of the Eds being an egotistical hot heated scamming Eddy, who has a fascination with money over friends."
"But... Fine, I’ll tell you Celestia, but I’ll only tell you my way.” Discord said. He disappeared and began appearing in all the windows as he gave this riddle. “To retrieve your missing Elements, just make sense of this change of events. Twists and turns are my master plan. Then find the Elements back where you began.”
He let out one final chuckle and went back into the marionette-stained glass.
Twilight, Applejack, and Fluttershy walked over to the window.
“Can we go home now?” Fluttershy asked. The Eds turned to look at the lockbox and walked over to it.
“What do you reckon he meant? Twists and turns and endin’ back where we started?” Applejack asked.
Double D closed his eyes and took in one deep inhale of the box with Twilight. However, he was the only one who could see it, as these were the elements he could smell. He saw that the mist lead out of the room, and he looked out the window with Twilight, towards the labyrinth. That’s when it clicked.
“Twists and turns! That’s it! I bet Discord hid the Elements in the palace labyrinth!” Twilight hypothesized.
“I’ve got the scent trail to confirm. It’s definitely hidden in the labyrinth at the maze.” Double D is confirmed.
“Good luck, my little ponies. And you Eds too.” Celestia started. “The fate of Equestria is in your hooves and hands.” She said as she used her horn to knight both her son and her top student.
“We won’t let you down Princess.” Ed said goofily. "We'll stop this Discord thingy and save Equestria once and for all!"
The Eds led the group out of the castle. Discord’s laughter was heard as they exited, making Celestia look around for the source.
The Mane Six and the Eds made it to the entrance and stopped short of the opening. Some were shocked, and others were determined.
"W-We have to go in there?" Fluttershy asked uneasily.
"Nope!" Rainbow Dash said confidently, flapping her wings.
“We’ll just do a quick flyover and we'll have the Elements in no time." Rainbow Dash said. Rainbow flew toward the labyrinth before a flash of light made their wings disappear. She fell back down and looked, which made her gasp as her wings were gone.
“My wings!” Rainbow exclaimed.
Fluttershy had her wings disappear, making her gasp. Rarity and Twilight were next, with their horns disappearing.
“Your horn!....My horn!!” They both exclaimed before screaming in unison.
Another flash of light and Discord appeared before the Mane 6 and the Eds in his true form.
"Oh, you should see the looks on your faces right now," Discord taunted as he dropped the intimidation and smiled as he held out his paws. "Priceless."
He stood up and looked right at the Eds in person.
"So... you must be the Eds... I heard that farmer neighbor called you... Ed-Boys right?" Discord chuckled. "But... since you three don't have magic, you'll have to do a Rabbid Trial Game of my Rabbid Guardians once I'll get into the rules for a minute."
"You took away our magical powers. Give them back!" Twilight growled.
"Relax, you'll get them all back in due time," Discord explained as he moved between the ponies and Eds with ease. "I just took them to ensure there'd be no 'cheating'. For you see, I've decided to play a little game with your ponies and Ed-Boys. And here's the first rule: No flying and no magic."
"The first rule?" Rainbow Dash repeated.
“The second rule is everypony has to play. And this rule is exclusively for the Ed-Boys as I'm going to tell you three that this rule is excluded from ponies. When you Ed-Boys encounter my Rabbid guardians, they'll force you to play their games one by one when you encounter their games. If you win one of them, you'll still continue the game. If you lose in their games, you'll pass still but chaos will happen around you if you lose one of their games." He said as he pointed out the Rabbid statute showing the representation. "But if you lose in three strikes of their games, my Rabbids will start attacking you and bring them to me to show your fate of the future.”
“Third rule, Eddy must carry this Jar of Quaders for the entire game without any help at all, since he loves those bits," Discord said as he snapped his fingers again. Eddy suddenly felt heavier and almost fell to the ground from the weight. Double D looked at Eddy's back and saw what looked to be a jar of quarters, coiled around him. " But...if he dares to open that jar of quarters or break the jar by accident, the game is over, and I win."
"Good luck everyone!” He said, disappearing with a sinister laugh. Seeing Eddy struggle but being amazed at the jar of quarters, Applejack, Twilight, and Ed ran over to help Eddy, but couldn’t add any additional strength.
“I’ll be fine, fellas,” Eddy told them as he stood straight back up and his eyes chinged with dollar signs on his excitement on Discord's bidding. “The jackpot is mine but I'll make sure we'll get through this and not get this big jar break okay."
“Will you be okay, Eddy?” Fluttershy asked. "This jar of bits looks heavy for you to carry."
“I’ll be fine, let’s get to those elements and get this over with,” Eddy happily said. “Disocrd might have slowed me down with this jar of quarters, but he isn’t going to stop me to open them to make us lose, or any of you.”
“Eddy’s right.” Double D said before looking at the group. “Twilight has said it before, here’s nothing we can’t overcome if we all stick together. When we’re together, there’s nothing we can’t do!”
Now encouraged, the group and Eds walked to the entrance and raised a hoof.
“All right, girls and boys. Let’s do this.” Twilight said. They all took the first step.
“Together!” They all said. As soon as they took that step, hedges suddenly shot up from the ground to wall one-off from the next. Panic ensues among them before Double D spoke up.
“Everyone! Stay calm!” Double D exclaimed. The panicking stopped. “Head to the middle of the maze! And we'll figure out this maze by the game's rules!”
“Move as fast as you can and we’ll meet up there!” Twilight acknowledged.
“Moving out!” Rainbow Dash said.
“See you in the center!” Rarity added.
“Yee-haw!” Applejack said.
“Center! Take care of the Jar of Quarters! Got it!” Eddy exclaimed.
“See you guys there!” Pinkie and Ed exclaimed. 7 of the 9 began to take off. Double D was about to run, but he heard Fluttershy panting as she was afraid of the game. He stopped and used his ears to pinpoint a location.
“What’s that? Who’s there? GIRRRRLS!!” She screamed.
“Fluttershy!” Double D called. Fluttershy turned to the hedge where Double D’s voice came from. “Listen to me, we can get through this! I believe in you and your friends, even Ed and Eddy! Follow along the right wall if you think you’ll get lost! It’s all gonna be okay, okay?” He asked.
Fluttershy began to calm herself before nodding her head. There was a pause.
“Fluttershy, I can’t tell if you nodded your head, can you say something please before I venture of to Discord's game?” Double D asked, hoping for an answer from Fluttershy.
“Oh, um, okay.” She said meekly.
“Okay, see you in the center and play safe on the game!” Double D said as he started moving to start Discord's game. He motivated himself enough and the Eds to start jogging, even with Eddy carrying that jar of quarters since he's not fooled to open the jar. Fluttershy took Double D’s advice and began following along the right wall. Starting Discord's game to figure out his rhythm and find the Elements of Harmony to end Discord's grand plan.

Discord was still laughing at the group, neither the Eds nor Twilight were liking this. Pinkie glared at him.
“And what are you laughing at?” Pinkie shouted, not taking kindly to the laughing.
Discord wiped a tear from his eye as he was still laughing. "Oh, you ponies are just the most fun I've had in aeons!" He stated happily.
“Well quit it!” She exclaimed as she poked him with a hoof. “You’d better think before you laugh at the Pink-” She looked around for a moment to think of what to call herself before quickly giving up. “…ie Pie!”
“Oh, yeah? Well, ha, ha.” Fluttershy taunted from behind her. Pinkie zipped over to her, not liking the fact that she was being laughed at.
“Quit it!” She exclaimed.
“No,” Fluttershy told her. “Ha, ha!”
“QUIT IT!” Pinkie shouted, covering her ears.
“No.” Fluttershy taunted again. “ Ha-ha-ha, ha, ha!”
“Why are Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie still fighting at each other, Eddy?” Ed questioned.
Over with Rarity and Applejack, Applejack moved over to the rock.
“Uh, Rarity?” She called. Rarity turned around to face her. “This here diamond of yours with shirtless Eddy? Twilight said we should split it six ways since we, uh, found it together.” Applejack lied.
“Hai-Ya!” Rarity exclaimed as she hit Applejack with a flying kick, which sent her flying the other way. “Try it, punk! He’s mine! All mine And you can kiss Eddy’s flank!”
Applejack was backing away from Rarity’s multiple high kicks.
“Girls, why are you all acting like this? We need to stick together!” Twilight exclaimed.
“You know, I still wonder why Rarity’s big rock has a painting of you being shirtless Eddy.” Double D weirdly said to Eddy before turning towards Twilight, “And Twilight, this all has been Discord’s doing. Meddling with the pony’s mind to fall on Discord’s trick.”
While they argued, the Eds and Twilight shot glares at Discord, who was sitting on a couch, eating popcorn and enjoying the show.
“It’s just too entertaining.” He said. The two stepped over to him.
“Stop it, Discord! You’re not playing fair!” Twilight and Double D exclaimed.
“I’m not playing fair? Perhaps we haven’t met.” Discord said as he stood up. “I’m Discord. Spirit of chaos and disharmony?” He then got in Twilight’s face. “Hel-looo?”
Eddy cracked his fingers to pay Discord back for the jar of quarters, but Discord teleported back to his seat before he could try to mock Eddy back. Double D then stepped forward.
“Taking away the elements is one thing, but as soon as Ed and Eddy almost got to the end was a dirty move Discord.” Double B glared at him. “We were so close until you decided to hypnotize Rainbow Dash just to make us lose.”
“How are we supposed to find the Elements of Harmony now?!” Twilight and Eddy added. Discord looked at both of them before he started to laugh. Twilight and the Eds both looked confused.
“Did you really think I was going to keep the Elements of Harmony in the wrong location?” He asked before laughing harder. He then teleported the four of them back in time as ghosts, to when he first gave them the riddle.
“Twists and turns are my master plan.
“Prior experience has taught me that a nose like you and your Ed friends would’ve been able to detect where they were and keep the ponies from ever entering the labyrinth. So I had to think outside to box. Send you on the right path, in the wrong direction.” Discord told him. Double D’s eyes narrowed at him as Discord began to walk the opposite way.
“Keep trying you four.” He said before turning around. “Maybe the magic of friendship can help you.” He mocked before going back to his normal voice. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some chaos and a Rabbid army to wreak.”
With that, he snapped himself away, and a thunderstorm of chocolate rain poured down on the four of them. Pinkie looked up in disgust.
“Chocolate milk? I hate chocolate milk!” She exclaimed.
“Aww, I wish Pinkie Pie was happy for Chocolate Rain.” Ed mumbled.
Fueled with anger and frustration, Eddy’s jar of quarters broke out of nowhere, making him panic to see his quarters spreading in pieces.
“Guys, hurry, uh!? My jar of quarters broke and I needed help to stack them!” Eddy panicked.
“Don’t worry Eddy, I’ll help you.” Ed happily said as he helped Eddy to pick up the quarters.
“‘Find the Elements back where you began’.” Twilight recited. Double D paced back and forth. “Back where you began.”
Rarity was hauling off her boulder before Applejack jumped onto it.
“Don’t touch my gem!” She scolded. Fluttershy flew over and placed a hoof on the rock.
“I’m touching your gem, Rarity! Ha, ha!” Fluttershy taunted. Pinkie zipped over.
“What are you laughing at!?” Pinkie exclaimed to all three of them.
“I don’t think we’ll be able to go home until we figure this out, Twilight.” Double D said. That made it click in Twilight’s head.
“Wait a minute. Home!” Twilight said. Double D looked at her before also getting the click.
“Our journey began-” Double D started.
“-When we moved to Ponyville.” Twilight finished.
“So the elements must be in Ponyville!” Ed exclaimed happily after helping Eddy’s quarter panic.
“Double D, you really do like showing your genius,” Twilight said, Double D looked confused for a brief second before sighing in relief.
“For a brief moment, I thought you said something completely different.” Double D was admitted before Twilight started heading back to Ponyville.
As she moved, The Eds and the others followed. Eddy had a bag to store his quarters so that he doesn’t lose most of it.
Sometime later, the group was on a road leading into Ponyville, and Ponyville was in chaos. Trees and buildings were on floating midair islands; the town square pavilion was completely uprooted and hovering upside down; bright pink water flowed in the stream at the border; separate pastel blue and pink checkerboard patterns were covering different stretches of the ground; houses were plunked on crazy-quilt hills; clouds were over the whole town, but only one section getting rained on; a faded lime-green sky was what was above the town. The Rabbids had been around in Ponyville for a while, but they’ve been causing mischief. Two Rabbids chased each other, four Rabbids danced around the chaotic Ponyville, five Rabbids chased the ponies away to conquer their home, three Rabbids were riding on flying pigs for a race, seven Rabbids were causing destruction by destroying homes, and ten Rabbids were building a statue of Discord with some obscure materials they used.
“Come on, everyone.” Twilight started. “I’m certain this is what Discord’s riddle really meant! If we get back to the library, I have a book that I just know can give us a clue!”
The Eds grabbed Twilight, pulling her away from the rabbits with the incredibly long legs from their first encounter with the chaos running by. Nearly trampling Twilight.
“Whoa!” She exclaimed as she saw this happen. She then looked at the Eds “Thanks for the save, Eds.” The Eds let go as Fluttershy began talking.
“Ugh. Angel, you missed on ramping on your friends!” She was heard saying before shaking her head. “Mama’s so disappointed in you.”
“You should watch your surroundings when a stampede happens to run to their destination, Twilight.” Double D says as he and his friends looked back at those rabbits with long legs.
The sun then zipped down and darkened the entire area.
“Wow, I can see so much better now.” Applejack sarcastically said. She tried to walk, but a Rabbid was siding around and pushed Applejack, skidding into the four friends she was in front of. Stopping before getting to Twilight and the Eds. “I meant to do that.”
Twilight and Double D were trying to stand up but had no luck doing so, Double D was able to stand, but he was sliding across the road. Ed seemed to have slid his foot and gotten used to skiing around the slippery floor as he was getting the fun around it. Eddy however was displeased as he kept slipping from the floor multiple times, making him irritated. The sun came back up, revealing the road to be made of bubble soap.
“Discord’s turned our dirt roads into soap!” Twilight exclaimed.
“Not even the good kind either.” Double D said as he started slipping but tries to keep his balance. “Ed seems to have fun with this, but Eddy isn’t too good at balancing from the soap.”
“This is like skiing around in the snow, Double D.” Ed happily said.
“Ugh… can’t even get my standing balance from this soap floor, sockhead.” Eddy growled. “Besides, we’re dealing with a snakehead taking over the world, to begin with.”
That’s when Discord began to skate on by.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” He asked before he gestured to the town. “This is the new and improved Ponyville, and these are only my first changes.”
Pinkie began to glide by with ease, striking a few poses while Ed glided through.
“This may look like fun, but it’s not!” She said with a completely stern look on her face.
Discord’s lion paw wrapped around Double D, Eddy and his talon around Twilight. His body materializes next to them and he begins to lift Twilight into the air and had the ground below Double D lift up so they could see Ponyville.
“Picture it—the chaos capital of the world!” Discord said as he took his paw from around Double D, Eddy, and held Twilight out, right as the sun went down.
“I can’t picture anything. It’s too dark.” Twilight said.
“I can picture something. Your fate by bringing my quarters back, snake freak.” Eddy growled.
Discord drops to the ground below him. Then he let go of Twilight, Eddy, and Double D, making Double D drop down to catch her. He dropped below her and she landed on his back.
“Well, for all of you pony folk and Eds, wait a few minutes and you’ll see it in the beautiful light of day—or not,” Discord said, skipping over them and disappearing. Double D and Eddy stood up and looked at Ponyville.
“I’m not about to let him turn Ponyville...or anywhere of Equestria, into a chaos capital of the Rabbids’ toybox.” Double D said. “Everything around Ponyville looks like the time we broke reality back home.”
“He won’t be. Not if we have anything to say about it.” Twilight said. Then Fluttershy glided by.
“Don’t worry. You won’t.” She said before laughing. Twilight groaned as she lowered her head. Double D placed his hand on her back.
“Keep your cool Twilight. They aren’t being themselves.” He comforted. “They’re under Discord’s control and are trying to make your life harder.”
A few more minutes goes by and the group arrived at the Golden Oaks Library. As they arrived, the sun shot up into the sky.
“Okay, we’re here. Everyone please, please, please just go inside, please?” Twilight asked, wearily.
“Um… Twilight, they seemed to be pretty arrogant…” Ed said.
“I absolutely refuse,” Applejack said, contradicting her statement as she trotted in. She got even greyer. Double D doubletake as he saw this happen and knew Discord’s influence is greying them down.
“With Pleasure,” Fluttershy said as she flew over. She stomped onto the flower bed before entering the building. Also turning greyer.
“I hate libraries,” Pinkie said as she trotted in, turning greyer. Twilight and the Eds turned around and saw Rarity trying to move the heavy boulder still.
“Pleeeeease? We gotta hurry!” Twilight and Double D begged them.
“Forget it, you four. I know what you’re up to. The second I go in, you’ll have your Spike come and take Tom!” Rarity accused.
“Tom?” Twilight, Eddy, and Ed asked.
“You… named it?” Double D asked, which made Eddy and Ed laughed during this situation.
“Well, it’s not going to work!” Rarity exclaimed as she started stroking ‘Tom’, turning even greyer.
“You’re not going in without him, are you?” Twilight and Double muttered. Rarity shook her head firmly. Ed and Eddy walked over.
“I got it.” Ed said as he lifted it onto his back with Eddy helping Ed out.
“Much easier since you have unpredictable strength, Ed.” Eddy grumbled.
Inside the library, Spike was curled up on the floor sleeping with his ears constantly twitching, while holding a broom. Next to him was a bucket of water, which Fluttershy had picked up.
Spike shot splashed, waking him up. He quickly rolled to the side and looked up.
“What did you do that for, Fluttershy?” Spike asked.
“Cause you just look so peaceful.” Fluttershy snickered.
“I… uh…” Spike stuttered until when he heard Eddy’s voice.
“It’s not gonna fit through the door, sockhead!… I said it before we even got to the door!... You know what? Forget it! Just let Sparkle teleport it into the library... Too bad Rarity, it’s going to be this way!!! Three. Two.-”
Suddenly, a large boulder crashed through the wall from Ed’s strength right to the floor. Rarity then scurried into the library and dove onto the boulder protectively. The Eds and Twilight walked in.
“Be careful next time Eddy! You’ll ruin his beautiful finish.” Rarity complained.
“Oh for the love of-” Twilight and Double D were about to complain.
“Twilight! Ed, Eddy, and Double D!” Spike exclaimed as he ran out and over to them. “What’s going on? Why is everyone so… Grey.”
"Big skinny Monster brainwashed them!" Ed exclaimed.
“Don’t ask,” Twilight said. “We need you to help us find something.”
“Hey, Twilight. What’s soaking wet and clueless?” Fluttershy asked.
“Fluttershy, I’ve had just about enough—” Twilight was responding to Fluttershy before she was drenched by Fluttershy pouring water onto her head.
“Your face!” Fluttershy said before slamming the bucket on her head. Ed ran over and took it off.
“What’s happening to everypony?” Spike asked as Double D and Eddy.
“I guess you just bring out the worst in us, Spike,” Applejack said as she walked by.
“Ignore her Spike,” Eddy told him. “Long story short, little dragon, Snakehead Discord did something in the maze, forced us into the challenges, and now our friends are acting the exact opposite of how they usually would due to their greyish color.”
“And FYI, Spike, Discord has hypnotized Twilight’s friends under his influence…” Double D answered Spike’s concern, “Pinkie isn’t joying, Fluttershy is rude, Applejack is not speaking truthfully, and Rarity… she has a rock with a painting of Eddy behind shirtless for sure as she claims it's a big diamond. And Rainbow ran away to lose us the game.”
“And now, We’ve got to find the reference guide to the Elements of Harmony before somepony does something she’ll regret!” Twilight gritted her teeth at the end.
“The Elements of Harmony?” Spike asked before remembering. “Oh! I know exactly where that book is!”
Spike climbed up a ladder and pulled the book out.
“Found it!” He called out. He was then smacked with a scroll, making him drop the book into Fluttershy’s hooves.
“Ha!” She taunted.
“Oh no you don’t, Flutters.” Eddy said as he got into a pouncing position.
“Keep away!” Fluttershy said as she tossed the book. Eddy turned to look at who she threw the book to. It landed on Applejack’s nose. He ran over to her.
“Give up that book, JackApples!” Eddy exclaimed. She tossed the book into the air. Eddy jumped up and swatted it. Spike looked at the book and ran to it, Fluttershy flew after it. Eddy’s ear twitched, which left Fluttershy flying ahead of him to the book. Before she could get to the book, the door opened and she flew right into it. It was Big Macintosh, the CMC, Cheerilee, Lyra, Bon-Bon, and Derpy who opened the door.
“Everything okay?” He said before realizing the door had a thud. He looked and saw Fluttershy rubbing her head and Spike running over to grab the book. He picked it up and threw it to Twilight and Double D. They both tried to catch it, but Rarity interfered.
“Mine!” She exclaimed as she grabbed the book and ran with it.
“Hey! Do you even know what you just stole?!” Twilight and Double D exclaimed, running after Rarity.
“No, but if you want it, I want it!” Rarity said back. Twilight pounced, only to land short and face plant. She looked up in annoyance.
“GIVE HER THAT BOOK!!” Double D shouted. "We don't have time for playing games."
"What's going on?" Apple Bloom said in confusion.
"Why are Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity look... so Grey?" Sweetie Belle uttered.
"And where's Rainbow Dash?!" Scootaloo shivered.
"I just don't know what went wrong." Derpy randomly said, seeing the commotion.
“Big Mac! Help us get that book so we can defeat the skinny monster!” Ed exclaimed.
“Uh...Eeyup?” Big Macintosh said. Initially confused, he waited for Rarity to run his way before he stuck out his hoof and tripped her, sending the book into the air. It landed next to Derpy, who dejectedly slapped it toward Pinkie. It would have gotten to her if it wasn’t for Spike pouncing on the book and sliding it back to Ed, who grabbed it and tossed it to Twilight.
She held it with a death grip, and the Eds, remaining ponies, and Spike stood in front of her defensively, armed with teeth, fangs, and a scroll being used as a sword.
“Get back! All of you! This is my book, and I'm going to READ IT!” Twilight exclaimed. Big Macintosh, the CMC, Lyra & Bon Bon, Derpy, and Cheerilee was confused but moved over to the Eds and Spike, and Twilight as she flipped through the pages. Inside the book, the six elements were all there.
“The Elements!” She exclaimed happily. The Eds, Big Macintosh, the CMC, Cheerilee, Lyra & Bon Bon, and Derpy looked at the book in slight amazement.
“So that’s what the elements look like.” Big Macintosh said.
"Cool..." Ed, Derpy, and the CMC said.
"And that girls, is how it's used to defeat evil." Cheerilee nodded.
“Eeyup.” Eddy said. Big Macintosh glared at him.
“Stop stealing my line, Eddy.” He said.
"Whatever, Little Mac." Eddy grumbled
“Now that the elements are here, you can turn everyone back to normal.” Spike and Double D celebrated.
“See, girls? We did it! We found the Elements of Harmony, together!” Twilight is also celebrated. None of the girls were replicating her feelings. This made her look deadpan. “You don’t even care, do you?”
“No.” They all said. Twilight’s ears flopped and she began to look sad once more.
“I never thought it would happen. My friends…” Double D, Cheerliee, Bon Bon, and the CMC tried to give her a comforting hug but flinched upon her being suddenly fueled with anger. “…have turned into complete jerks!”
One by one, she gave a necklace to Ed, Lyra, Derpy, and Eddy in the room.
“Necklace…necklace…necklace….necklace…and-” She placed the tiara on her. “…big crown thingie!” She exclaimed.
“Come on, everypony, let’s go!” Twilight said as she started to walk out the door. Double D pulled her back by the tail.
“Twily, I’m eager for everyone to take Discord down too, but aren't we forgetting something important.” He hinted. Twilight turned to face him. "And why give the Elements to others instead of your friends?"
“We got the liar, the grump, the hoarder, and the brute being nothing but COMPLETE JERKS!!! Twilight shouted in fury. "This is our new Elements of Harmony here: the random unpredictable Ed-Boy, the green mare with an analogy, the bubbles of muffins, and the hotheaded with scamming schemes with greed.”
“We’re forgetting Rainbow Dash, Twilight... So who's gonna take her place?” Eddy said. Twilight looked at Big Mac, Bon Bon, the CMC, Cheerliee, and Spike before looking at Double D.
“There's no time to hunt down Rainbow Dash.” She said, placing the necklace on him before walking towards the door. "So congratulations, Double D, you're the new Rainbow Dash."
“Me!?” Double B exclaimed. “B-b-but what if she finds out I’ve been impersonating her? Ugh…that won’t end well and it's violating her representation of Loyalty.” Double D worry fully said envisioning could possibly happen. Nothing he thought of ended well with him.
“Don’t worry, Double D... Eddy, and Ed will protect you if anything happens,” Spike said, placing him on his back.
"Yeah. I don't know where Rainbow went, but let's hope it'll defeat Discord for sure." Scootaloo nodded.
“Now let’s go defeat Discord so we don’t ever have to talk to each other again!” Twilight said. The Eds was a bit concerned upon hearing that. Double D then quickly moved out of the way of the stampeding four and followed the group. Cheerilee looked at Big Macintosh and the Discorded Mane 4.
“You have no idea what just happened, Big Mac?” Cheerilee asked.
“Eenope.” Big Macintosh answered.
“Want me to explain everything?” Spike asked.
“Eeyup.” Big Macintosh answered.
Rarity was pushing Tom in a very slow, struggling manner toward the door. The CMC chucked as they find it funny to see Rarity trying her hardest to bring her Diamond Rock, Tom, to the scene. Double D called Ed to get 'Tom' and Twilight used her magic to teleport them both out of the library so that Ed is needed to defeat Discord.
Ed pulled his back out and Tom and Rarity were falling down. He used his hands to throw Tom to the side and watched Rarity. Sliding them both down as Twilight stood in front of the group.
“Well, well, well, I see you’ve found the Elements of Harmony.” Discord was heard saying. The group looked and saw Discord floating a short way away from them. Lyra and Derpy were confused, but the Eds shivered. “How terrifying. And are those the new Team of Harmony?”
“Discord! I’ve figured out your lame riddle! You’re in for it now!” Twilight exclaimed.
“I certainly am. You’ve clearly out-dueled me, and now it’s time to meet my fate.” Discord said as he put on a pair of sunglasses. “I’m prepared to be defeated now, ladies and gentlestallion. Fire when ready.”
Discord wiped a target onto his mid-section.
“Formation! Now!” Twilight exclaimed. The two confused ponies and three Eds walked over rather unenthusiastically.
“Eh.” They all said. Eddy turned his head to look at Double D and nod his head.
“Go on. This is just Sparkle wanting this over, to begin with, Double D...” He said. Double D gulped and got off his back to get in the formation.
“We can do this. I believe in us, Eddy.” Ed said. Twilight wasn’t so optimistic.
“Let’s get this over with!” Twilight said. The tiara and the crown both began to glow. Twilight rose into the air, with their eyes blazing white. The same magic they used against Nightmare moon began to awaken. One by one, those of the two ponies and three Eds threw off brilliant white auras, all the while floating clear of the ground. Discord lowered his shades briefly in surprise, there is one last flash—and then the power is gone.
They all dropped to the ground, and Eddy was the first to sit up.
“Should’ve known it's never going to work, Sparkle,” Eddy grumbled as he looked at the necktie of Honesty.
“What’s going on?” Twilight asked as she sat up. Ed sat up next.
“It doesn't have batteries, Twilight’. There must be somethin’ wrong with yours too Eddy.” Ed said.
“Can it spring Muffins?” Derpy questioned. Lyra floated down with her element before putting it to the side.
“Was that supposed to work, Twilight? I'm sure it was better to bring your friends instead of us.” Lyra asked. As soon as the element hit the ground, Rarity scooped it up.
“Mine!” She exclaimed as she zipped off. Double D took his element off and placed it on the ground.
“Sorry Double D,” Spike said as he came to the scene. "I know it should've been Twilight's friends to take care of this."
“It’s not her or your fault, Spike. Get Ditzy and Lyra back inside with Big Mac, Cheerilee, and the Crusaders, we’ll find a way to deal with this.” Double D told Spike. Spike nodded and began to run back to the library, Fluttershy was going to trip him but Spike jumped to avoid it.
Discord strolled over to them whilst clapping hauntingly and snapped his fingers to bring Twilight's friends over.
“Bravo, ponies and Ed-Boys, bravo! Harmony in Equestria is officially dead. Discord rules, Celestia drools.” Discord said, placing a talon on Twilight’s nose. Twilight went for a bit again, but Discord made the talon disappear as if he actually bit his talon off, only for it to reappear back. He began laughing and Twlight let out a tiger-like growl. Discord skated away.
"It's your fault it didn't work!" Pinkie complained, seemingly looking towards Discord.
"Who are you talking to?" Twilight asked.
"Any of you!" Pinkie shouted. "ALL OF YOU! I'm outta here!" She hopped off.
“Now wait, we don’t have to give up just yet.” Double D tried to tell the group.
"I better go, too,” Applejack said as she walked by. "I've got new better friends waiting for me at the farm."
“Girls wait.” Eddy tried again, raising his voice. "We still haven't restored Equestria in peace!"
Rarity didn’t say anything, only hauling off her precious rock. It then proved too much for Twilight.
"WE'RE DOOMED EDDY!!!" ED said, tearing up that hope is lost.
“FINE!" She screamed after them. "Leave! See if I care! I don't need you guys either! With friends like you, who needs…" She looked at her leaving friends. Her last hope was finally diminished. "enemies…?" She finished sadly as she hung her head. Double D turned to look at her. Her tail began to grey, making the Eds panic.
“No.... No no no no no no no NO!!!” Double D said as he ran to her. Placing his hands on her shoulders. “Twilight, please. You can't give up just yet! We still need a way to bring your friends back!”
The greying didn’t stop as it kept going.
“Twilight? Twilight looked at me!” Double D begged as he was tearing up.
“I promise, everything’s gonna be okay. I promise me and my friends are gonna fix everything. Okay? Pinkie promise. Okay?” Double D tried, slowly getting desperate and wiping the tears off. The greying didn’t stop and was reaching her neck.
Sadly... It was over, Twilight had turned completely grey.She had given up. She used her magic to gently take his hooves off before she hung her head to start walking back to the library. Double D reached a hand out to her as she walked away.
As Twilight walked away, a single tear fell out of her eye, and it landed in a heart that had broken in two. It was no coincidence that one of those hearts reflected at the Eds. Double D’s feelings flopped and when he tried to take a step forward, the floor he and the Eds were standing on spun him around, making him look at the even more chaotic Ponyville. The long-legged bunnies were now accompanied by ballet-dancing buffalos, Rabbids chasing the ponies for their mischief, Pies that fell up, a stallion running across the frames of the device the readers were reading on, and a googly-eyed purple mare floating around while flicking her bottom lip.
“Oh, my stomach!” Discord laughed as he popped up next to the Eds. Double D and Eddy looked back at Twilight, but Discord turned his head forward. “Ed, Edd, and Eddy, you’ve got to see what I just did!”
Berry Punch was unfortunate enough to be standing under a giant pepper shaker with a Rabbid The pepper caused her and the Rabbid to sneeze and upon doing so, the buildings around them collapsed like cardboard cutouts.
“It’s priceless!” Discord guffawed happily. Double D walked coldly on his grasp and in front of Discord, angrily glaring at him.
“Forgive my lack of humor, Mr. Discord, but I don’t find turning my friends against me, and changing Equestria into a dystopian dimension straight out of a Broken Reaily of Ed's imagination to be particularly funny.” Double D told him, his eyes narrowed.
“Ah yes, the time when you Eds broke reality back in Peach Creek huh? The third time’s a charm am I right?” Discord nudged him. “Your friends have all turned their backs on you, even the neighborhood kids too. Shifted the blame. And left you behind.”
“And guess what, Lumpy Snake Freak,” Eddy said as he brings his fist. “Me, Double D, and Ed are still here. My friends will always be with me and can leave all they want. But I won’t leave them or the ponies behind.”
"Yeah, Eddy!" Ed happily exclaimed. "Show this skinny monster who's boss!"
Discord became amused with Eddy's speech of light and he started laughing again.
“You think, Eddy. The one who tried to scam the Neighborhood Kids over jawbreakers.” He guffawed. “You think that you can take me on your own? Well, since you three broke reality, I'm going to bring your Peach Creek fellows to Equestria.”
Discord snapped his fingers to spawn in the Peach Creek gang in his chaotic magic. Nazz with a purple lizard body, the Three-Headed Rolfs spoke gibberish, Plank in Johnny's body with Johnny's Head to swap roles, Liquid Jimmy in a glass with mouthless angry Sarah, and Kevin who looked normal at first but his Bike with wheels is filled with spikes. This made the Eds panic as Discord already knew he wanted to scare them. Not to mention, he spawned in his Rabbids to help their aid.
"Yo, Peach Creek gang, get after the Eds and capture them while working together with my Rabbids!" Discord ordered, "Once you capture them, you'll be rewarded with Jawbreakers and help me take over this land with my Rabbid army."
"Run for it, ED!!!" Double D yelled as Ed grabbed Eddy and Double D to make a run for it as the Chaotic Peach Creek gang and the group of Rabbids set on to chase the Eds.
"Oh, I can't wait to see how the Eds confronted their familiar faces from Peach Creek!" Discord chuckled, this is a win for me after all."
Discord laughs as he pretty much finally won to rule Equestria over... or is it...
