Chapter 1 One year

I look down to the table with a sprawled out map on it, the map of the world I reside in. It’s been nearly one year since I have been sent here. It’s hard to keep track of time so it could very well be more than a year, all that matters is the here and now. “So explain to me again what is going on Alexander.” I sigh, feeling my brain seizing up at what he has told me.

“Well, it seems that since your crowning ceremony some fliers have been popping up on buildings. It changes with each one what they say but the general theme is that they are, quote leaking your plans unquote.” He happily says as he holds out a page to me that I see out of the corner of my eye. His toothy vampire smile shining in the light. I look at the page and see my face artfully drawn on the parchment with text underneath it.

“Twilight Sparkle, unjust Queen of this world, wishes to remove all freedom a person has and force them into jobs so they are…” I pause and grab the page as I stand up straight, anger fuming from me. “So they are complacent and have no energy to oppose her! What kind of shit is this!?” I yell angrily grabbing the page and flowing magic into my hands and burning the page to ashes.

“I was planning to use that as toilet paper later.” Alexander says in fake devastation, I let out a snort at the joke but my blood remains hot at the audacity of someone seeking to rip the rug out from under me as soon as I’m crowned. I look down at the map and see the landmasses upon it, there are three major continents with giant swaths of lava oceans separating them. The Capital of the world is located on the second largest of them all and has many points of interest dotted around filling the land. South of the Capital is Primal Glow, my last home. Then South east of Primal Glow is the Village Gomra took me to. That feels like so long ago now. Looking north I see Horendir near the Capital and remember that Kiraz the mechanical Gryphon rules over the Baron of that City. One the map any and all northern cities have their roads routed through that city before coming to the capital.

“You mentioned something about these fliers causing population drops across this continent?”

“Yes, I’m sorry to say but those who don’t… share your views have begun to take ships across the red sea.” Alexander explains and I feel my jaw clench in frustration. This is too perfect and too organized to be something thrown together when I took the throne. Someone has been preparing for me to take the throne… but why? Hearing the door behind me click open I remain looking at the map, the sound of a cup being set down on the table meets my ears and I reach over and grab the cup. I take a sip of the cup but as soon as the bitter unflavored drink hits my lips I grimace and wrench the cup away. My first cup of coffee in so long and it’s not got cream or sugar. Growling I turn on the spot and see the form of Vo dressed in a maids outfit with some new augmentations to his form, most notably his used to be human face now that of a pony. Taking the cup I throw the cup at him watching as it shatters over his head and showers liquid over him making him yelp out in surprise and anger.

“If you’re going to make my coffee then make it properly you useless idiot.” I bark as the magic chains squeeze at his flesh as he strains to try and resist his orders I’ve placed on him. He opens his mouth to try and speak but only gurgles and gags come out till he finally submits.

“Yes.” He says and I get an evil grin as I look at him struggling to close his mouth. He broke a magical contract so any order I give him he must obey and he can’t disobey. My first order was to have him become my subservient maid, doing everything I tell him to. The next was to make him always refer to me as his Queen and to never leave my service.

“What was that?” I say, with a sinister smile as I look at the angry Vo.

“Yes my Queen.” Vo growls now being allowed to close his mouth and get down to his hands and knees to clean up the broken cup. Feeling satisfied I turn back around and look down to the table.

“Alexander, how is Luna handling the new vampire attributes?” I ask and in response he hums to himself for a second before answering.

“She is accustomed to the ability to see in the dark easily, she has also learned but not put into practice making Ghouls. Then there is the additional strength, speed, and reflexes. She has come a long way but she still has room to grow. I will say though that she has taken an interest in alchemy. You two should spend some time together and augment yourselves if you wish.” Alexander suggests and I perk up at that. It would be beneficial to enhance my body a bit more. My wings are rather new and not very strong. Not to mention my general strength is lacking.

“I might actually do that. A Queen needs to be a shining beacon for her subjects.” I say with a purr escaping my lips at the thought of me being the fairest of all.

I knock upon the wooden door and hear some clattering of bottles and the very startled voice of Luna from within. “O-one moment.” The sound of things being moved around comes from inside and I chuckle at how Luna must be trying to fix her room to look tidy. I’ve never known Luna to get panicked easily so this is a pleasant surprise, hearing her hastily clean up things. Hearing the door handle turn and the door swing open slowly I look in and see Luna breathing the slightest bit heavy as she gives me a smile. “Ah, dearest Twilight. What hast brought thou to us?”

“Well I heard you were getting into Alchemy, I thought we could talk about a few things while we try some potions out.” I say leaning against the doorframe as I look down to the used to be Princess. Her red eyes peer up at me and with a kind smile she nods to me.

“We like the proposal thou has presented.” Luna says and with that I enter her room.

Chapter 2 Moon light Defender and the Dusk Queen

I sit down on the bed Luna has in her room and flop back on it with my wings and arms spread out. “You have such a soft bed.” I blissfully say with a smile on my lips.

“Doth thou not have a soft bed either?” Luna asks confused, Sitting up slightly so i'm using my elbow and upper arm to be upright I look at Luna who is pulling out an alchemy set with her magic.

“You would think so but it's this weird slime like fluid for the mattress. Honestly it feels like I’ll drown if I fall asleep.” I explain getting a look from Luna of confusion.

“Why would anyone create a mattress filled with fluid? That just seems dangerous and prone to a messy situation.”

“I know, right.” I say, happy to hear someone on my side finally as Alexander went on lengthy talks with me explaining why people enjoyed them. Honestly I’d sooner or later poke a hole in it with my horn or something. Luna places the Alchemy set on the desk across from the bed in her room and floats bottles out from under her bed and onto the desk too. Some of said bottles have fluid in them and I smile seeing her hasty hiding spot. “I see you have already attempted some brewing.”

“That we have though we are unsure if we have processed the ingredients properly.” Luna says as she looks at the bottles filled with potions.

“Well let’s play it safe and dispose of those then start fresh. I can teach you what I know.” I say getting up into a sitting position, Luna nods to me and floats the filled bottles off to a door in her room which she opens with her magic as the bottle approaches then enters. “You have a personal bathroom too I see.”

“We do indeed.” Luna happily says. “No more needing to leave our chamber and go down a long hall to one shared with our sister.”

“Wait, you two shared a bathroom.” I laugh imagining Luna going to the bathroom in such a large castle as they had only to see it was occupied.

“Yes, many a time we went to relieve ourselves but Tia would be using it.” Luna grumbles as she crosses her hooves. “Thou would not believe it but the Sister of ours has a streak of occupying the lavatory once her duties had adjourned.”

“Oh, gods that's funny.” I say as I continue to laugh, Luna all the while puffs out her cheeks.

“Tis not funny. Doth thou even know how long she can take?”

“Nope but it’s still funny.” I say and watch as she turns her face away from me as the bottles float back to the room we are in. Whipping away my tears I sigh heavily. “On a different note, I am curious. You have a corrupt self inside you. What is she like?” Luna goes rigid when I ask and I fear she might close up completely at my question. “Luna?”

“Promise us you won’t see us differently.” Luna says meekly, as if she were fragile and going to break at the slightest touch.

“I promise.” I say reaching out to her but at the sensation of my hand touching her she flinches away the slightest bit but slowly accepts the gentle touch.

“She… She is what everyone would call Nightmare moon and grew to be rather… hot headed and stoic out of the two of us. We since the beginning agreed we would be two units of the same whole. Neither would be more dominant than the other in our body. Hence why We go by we or us in conversation… We even formed a way for us to swap places. This was a discovery she made one day while I was asleep.”

“Wait so, you can have your consciousness go within your corruption wellspring and she can have her own consciousness take control.” I ask, astounded by this revelation and the possibilities it provides.

“This could prove useful. I’ll look into how this can be replicated.” My Corrupt self says which I respond immediately to via thoughts. Please do, this could prove to hold some uses.

“We can, Thou hast actually met her before… Nightmare moon was her and we both were infuriated with Celestia but even after our banishment she was still going crazy and had not relinquished control of our body. It wasn’t till thou had subdued her that she relaxed.”

“Wait, so you were not just stuck on the Moon but also in your own mind?”

“Indeed. That is why she has not been allowed to come out recently. She and I agree she should be on time out. Also as to not draw Sisters suspicions.” Luna explains with a small smile gracing her lips followed by a small chuckle that comes from her.

“Let me guess, she said something about telling me she willingly accepted it.”

“That and that she had wanted to scare thou when she was done being in Time out.”

“Well she is lucky because maybe I’d have pelted her with a book fort.” I say jokingly, getting a laugh from Luna.

“Maybe Thou should still do so. She can be a real trouble maker.” Together we laugh and laugh till our sides hurt, I flop back on to the bed and let the laughs course through me. I’m so happy Luna is here. She helps make things feel that little bit brighter. Letting my laughter subside I get back up and look at Luna who is taking deep breaths to relax after the fits we went through.

“Oh, we also… have something to share with thou, Twilight.”

“What is it?” I ask, looking at Luna curiously.

“We do not wish to partake in the Hierarchy here. We also became… dissatisfied with ruling when we returned from our banishment. We talked about it and we wish to be a Vanguard for Thy army.” Army? That’s something I had been trying to ignore but with recent events… violence might be impossible to avoid. Luna and by extension Nightmare have experience in… they would know how to handle situations and give me advice so they would be perfect for that role.

“If you both would like to, I don’t see an issue with it but please don’t let our positions change our friendship.” I say and Luna shoots me a joyful smile and a nod.

“We wouldn’t think of it, Dearest Twilight.”

Chapter 3 Potions class

I tap a ruler upon a whiteboard as my other hand adjusts a tight fitting button up shirt I wear. “As you can see Luna, when you have the plants of this world they produce certain effects when consumed raw.” I say looking at Luna who sits in a makeshift school seat she had thrown together. She had also gotten the white board and clothing from I don’t know where and practically begged for this situation I now find myself in. She had told me she never had a formal kind of classroom environment experience in her life and wanted to see what it was like. If I could put money on it though, I’d say with the gray tight skirt I have on and tight white shirt she just wants the eye candy.

“When you cook these plants correctly they become good to eat without having any effects. However if you wish to get a certain Effect you need to utilize Alchemy and mix plants that specialize in the same thing to enhance certain effects beyond others so that when you heat the plants and the effects begin to be removed the effect you want remains longer than the rest. The downside is that every plant has Corruption so you will get a good helping of Corruption.” I explain and to my surprise Luna, who is dressed in a strange skimpy school uniform designed for ponies, raises her hoof to get my attention. “Yes Luna?”

“What happens to the corruption when Thou has a filled out Corruption Wellspring.” I open my mouth to answer but stop short when I realize I don’t quite know. Sure there are possible things that could happen that come to mind but I have no idea what possibility is the correct one.

“Let… me call in an assistant.” I say as I look down to the pendant I have on. “Alexander, get your ass in here.” I say in a hushed voice and look back up with a clearing of my voice. “They will be a few moments.”

Luna gives me a nod and I turn back to the whiteboard, tapping my ruler on to an image I drew of a bulbous purple plant shaped like a shriveled up pumpkin that hangs from a tree branch that is black like charcoal and leafless. “This here is a Nipton Fruit. It unlike many other plants has no creature it turns one into but instead grows one's Breasts and even enhances their milk production. Plants like these are what makes the concentration of effects possible.” I explain but I stop from continuing when I hear the sound of a whistle come from the doorway. Looking over to the door I see Gaurt with her hand on her stomach that has signs of pregnancy showing now. She is looking at me with a devilish smile while Alexander stands behind her with his own smile.

“Damn, can I get some Detention too.”

“I… This isn’t Detention!” I yell turning to face Gaurt and Alexander.

“Then mind if I join this lesson.” Gaurt asks and I feel my face growing hot.

“Alexander, I need to see about somethingI don’t know.” I say ignoring Gaurt who takes this as a sign of approval as she walks in and sits on the floor beside Luna who immediately passes a folded piece of paper to the Lycan. By the gods… is this what teaching is like. “Ok nope, give me that paper Luna.” I say sternly as I walk over to the two, Luna quickly tries to hide the paper and I look at her with narrowed eyes. Reluctantly she gives me the paper and I open it and feel my heart skip a beat at what I read. ‘Do you think Mrs. Sparkle has a smackable ass?’

“Luna, care to explain?” I say feeling my mind chugging at the thought of Luna looking at me in such a manner.

“What can I say, Lulu wasn’t going to say anything so I had to make sure I wasn’t crazy.” I hear a deeper and more seductive voice come from Luna’s lips and a shiver shoots down my spine as I gulp hard.

“N-nightmare I assume.”

“The one and only. Though I was only allowed out of my time out to do this, till we speak again Darling.” Nightmare chirps as her demeanor changes from one of confidence and imposing back to her usual calm and relaxed self. As soon as the change happens I see her face light up like a light in a red hue.

“What does it say, teach?” Gaurt asks and I look at her with my mouth open but I crumple the page up and teleport it far far away. To what place I do not know or care, just away.

“I don’t know. Anyways Alexander.” I say turning back around only to find him right behind me looking at my face with a wide grin.

“I can see why Luna chose that outfit along with Nightmare. Not my preference but I can see the possible interest.”

“You really just had to say that didn’t you.” I say grumply as I cross my arms.

“I did, also the note said-”

“Shut your trap mister.” I bark, getting a wry grin from him in response. “Just answer a question Luna asked me. When Someone has a filled out Corruption Wellspring what happens with the extra Corruption they get.”

“Ah well I guess this is the best time of any to bring this up. You see, typically folks would not reach their capacity if they were constantly using their corruption to pay for goods and services. Getting too much corruption at once or reaching your capacity and getting too much excess will result in agitating your corruption making it go feral or berserk.” Alexander explains and I nod my head in understanding.

“So it disposes of the excess if you don’t get too much like how it does if you have it go feral and use ice to soothe it.”

“Indeed. Though there is a way to expand one's Capacity.” Alexander says and I look at him surprised.

“You mean there is a way to get a larger wellspring?”

“Yes and it works for all Wellsprings. However this treds in to grounds of becoming a Prime Evil.”

Chapter 4 Transformations

I look at the Alchemy set bubbling and working away, Luna having gotten the hand… hoof of mixing and creating potions with desired effects but she now is utilizing theories she has not shared with me to try out. One such theory for some reason involved pulling some hair from my head and getting some saliva to mix with plants. I have no idea what she is planning or hoping to find but she seems very engrossed with her tests. If I didn’t know better I’d say she looked like me when I get going with research that grabs my attention. Though I tend to cause my surroundings to get messy with books, parchment and quills whereas Luna is organized and deliberate with every movement, as if conducting an orchestra.

Lifting up one of the finished potions I made, I look at it as the liquid swirls inside. This one should enhance my muscles and bone density like Vo had done. Looking over to my wings I feel my brain begin to process how to solve the issue this will cause on my flight. I hear the pouring of liquid and I look up to see Luna collecting her last potion. “Tis finished… we think.”

“You think?” I teasingly say but as Luna looks over to me her face is not that of her own. It is inky black and resembles what would be a face but the skin is inky black and it writhes as if things under the skin are moving around and trying to escape the flesh containing them. Her ruby red eyes now a cloudy gray with wiggling black worms in what would be the whites. I feel bile threaten to come shooting out of my mouth at the sight before me but as I place a hand over my mouth I hear a whisper as if it was the wind but unmistakably words.

“Taking our time?” And with that sound Luna’s face is back to normal and I am left booking at her, unsure what has just happened.

“Twilight?” Luna asks with worry etched on to her face.

“I’m fine Luna. Just thought about Gelfree.” I say clearing my throat. Luna immediately comes closer, setting her new potion down and places a hoof on my cheek.

“Dearest Twilight, if thou ever wish to confide in us you may. We know how it can be to lose one you love.” Luna says with an understanding look on her face and I smile even though it hurts knowing I had lied to her.

“Thanks Luna. I will… just give me time.”

“Of course. We will always be here for thou, so take as much time as thou needs.” Luna says as she retracts her hoof and Grabs all her potions in her magic. “Now then, We hear word Korzak has taken up using the training grounds for the castle guard. Why don’t we give him a visit.”

“If you want, Though I have a better idea than simply hitting a dummy.” I say with a mischievous smile that Luna looks at in both curiosity and a twinge of fear.

“A little to the left now.” I say as I sip on my first potion, the hot air of the world flowing past me. I look at the form of Vo standing out in the training field while Korzak and Luna stand near me. Luna had protested me using Vo as our test dummy but after some debating with her she has since relented. Korzak however seemed to enjoy the idea of training with us in any form so I’m happy he is preparing to train with us without complaint. The moment the potion I am drinking is finished I give the effects a few seconds and feel them spring into action, my muscle and bones changing and the feeling of itching beneath my skin courses through my brain and it takes all my willpower to not itch. Slowly I watch as my scrawny form grows little by little as muscles grow and my strength increases. My dress grows tight even with the amount I had loosened before drinking, the effects begin to subside and I look at my now toned figure. I'm not overly muscular but I have noticeable muscle mass and when I flex they become more prominent. Looking to my wings I notice they have gotten the most muscle definition and size increase. They have extended around five feet each in length and height when stretched out to their fullest. Looking down to Luna I notice I’m now just over seven feet tall.
Looking over to Korzak I see I am just under his height by a small margin. He smirks at me and I smirk back. “Why don’t you go first with our training partner?” I say and Korzak shakes his head.

“I would rather save my energy.”

“For what?” I ask, confused as we had come down when he was mid training routine.

“I’d like to try a round with you once you are done testing.” Oh, I see. I think as a wide smile spreads over my face.

“Very well. Give us some time.” I say as I grab another potion and down it. I immediately feel its effects and I need to stop myself from sputtering and spilling the potion. Forcing it down I feel my throat scream out in pain as it feels as if I had swallowed fire. How can Spike take this!? I scream internally as my hands grab at my throat. I feel things shift around in my body and as I heave and gasp I feel more heat hit my throat and mouth but the sensation slowly becomes more and more tolerable. Once the sensation is nearly entirely gone I take a deep breath and try to test out my new change. It takes a few attempts and by this time Luna is beside me asking if there is any way she can help. To her surprise I respond with a lick of flame erupting from my mouth, blue and hot, and perfect for dealing with the byproduct of my filtration of my air intake. The ash and build up largely was sulfur and other things which could be mixed into dragon flame.

“That… isn’t normal.” Luna says in shock as she looks at where I had shot out. Well, time to test a theory I had. Gathering filtration gunk in to my mouth like I usually had to do to get rid of it I then add a puff of flame then spit the gunk and am pleased to see a sticky mucus that hits the ground and burns blue and hot like the bout of flame I had just done but now with a hard to get rid of constantly burning substance.

“Well, that works how I had hoped.” I say happily and Luna looks at me with a twinge of anger.

“Warn us next time thou wishes to test something that looks as if it caused thou pain!” Luna chastises me and I let out a giggle at her angry face.

“Sorry, I didn’t know it would hurt like that. Sometimes potions are like that.” Hearing this Luna looks at her own potions. “Don’t worry Luna, you can handle it.”

Hearing my words Luna nods and uncorks her first potion and with swiftness to not second guess I figure she downs the potion and wriggles around as her fur stands on end. I wait silently as I watch Luna as her face contorts continuously till she finally relaxes. Strangely though she looks no different than she usually does. She looks at me with a bit of red covering her face in embarrassment. When she opens her mouth I expect to hear her voice but what I hear is entirely different.

“Why art thou looking at us so intently?” Luna asks with my voice. I look at her stunned and am stuck with my jaw hanging loose. “Dearest Twilight?” Luna asks again in my voice.

“That’s it… I’m out.” Corrupt me says as if having had enough of this situation.

Chapter 5 Beat it

“Luna.” I say with an even tone of confusion.

“Yes?” Luna says with a chirp in my voice, This feels so strange. I let out a slight sigh, placing two fingers on the bridge of my nose and pinch it I ask.

“How did you do this?”

“Well, thou had taught us about the transformations via the plants but all transformation magic we had heard of was temporary. This made us think, what caused the transformations to remain after the effects stopped. Thus we hypothesized that the effects had left an imprint over the consumers base traits.” Luna explains and as I watch her explain in my own voice I get a feeling as if I am watching myself going on one of my talks about a new discovery. “Think of it as a kind of… sequence that makes you… you. This then brought us to a thought, could we somehow pull those sequences to replicate a person’s sequence or take pieces of it.”

“Luna.”

“Yes, Twilight?” Luna asks with a wide smile.

“Did you perhaps also take my tendency to go on lengthy talks about things I'm passionate about?” I ask but as soon as my question leaves my lips Luna wilts and seems to become nervous.

“Oh, we apologize if we annoyed you.”

“No, no. I just… I’ve never seen you like that.”

“We… tend to keep that way of acting reserved and hidden. Sister always told us it was unbecoming of royalty.”

“I… I’m sorry Luna that you had to grow up thinking that but don’t feel like you have to hide anything from me.” I say getting down to eye level with Luna who sheepishly looks at me with her face red as a cherry. In a flash I feel something touch my lips but the next Luna’s face is turned away from me, It takes no time for me to realize just what Luna had done and though surprised by the sudden act I smile widely. When she looks back to most likely say something I take the chance to reciprocate the act and kiss Luna in a fierce and passionate locking of our lips. I don’t know if the act is spurred by myself or my corrupt self or both but what I know at the moment is that Luna and I are both in bliss as our tongues intertwine. The moment however is cut short when I hear a loud whistle come from the direction of Vo.

Breaking the kiss I look out to him and glare. “It seems someone can’t wait for his testing to start.” I say with a slight growl.

“It seems that way.” Luna says followed by her clearing her throat. “Let us return to our normal voice and get some of our other tests.” The sound of a bottle being uncorked follows her words and she begins to drink the fluid. I smile and get up from una who I glance at and grin when I see her heavy expansion and contraction of her chest. She was really enjoying that. Who knew she was kinky.

Turning to Vo I see his smile fall and he looks at me with panic in his eyes. Cracking my knuckles I slowly walk towards him. “You couldn’t have just kept quiet. Could you?” I ask but before he can respond I punch him in the chest feeling a satisfying snapping as my fist collides with his ribs. Vo coughs and heaves as the win has been knocked out of him and I chuckle. “I haven’t even empowered my fist with magic Vo, come on. I thought you were a tough guy.” I say knowing full well I augmented him with potions to be weak and have hollow bones. “Tell me, how has it been, having become the public use piece of ass for my guards?”

“F-f-fuck you.” Vo groans as he gets air back in his lungs.

“Come now, I thought you liked fucking a bunch of people.” I say with an ear to ear smile. “I mean, I would expect you to be thanking me.”

“You bit-”

“What?” I say sinisterly as I watch the chains grip his throat, stopping his words in their tracks. Slowly he begins to be strangled.

“I’m… sorry… my queen.” He sputters and I smirk seeing the chains vanish.

“That’s going to be five hours in the dungeons.” I say and watch as panic shoots through his very being.

“No, please, anything but that.” I smile and shake my head.

“Where has all that bravado gone?” I say getting low and grabbing his hair and ripping it back so he looks up to me. “Back when you kidnapped my friends, when you killed Gelfree, beat Beryl to an inch from death. Remember when you used to be hot shit? Where has that gone?” I ask with venom dripping from my words.

“I don’t want to go down there… please.” He begs and I growl.

“How pathetic. Grow up and take your punishment with your chin up.” I spit as I get up, letting his head go but giving his chin a hard kick upwards hearing a crack and the sound of teeth snapping together and crunching. Following that he lets out a howl and I look down at him with disgust as his mouth starts oozing blood. “Don’t worry you won’t die. You don’t get that mercy in life anymore.”

“Twilight?” I hear Luna say and I turn around and give her a kind smile.

“Ah, Luna, are you ready?” I ask as I watch Luna’s gaze shift from me to Vo who lays upon the ground. A look of conflicting emotions on her face and I know exactly why. However if the stories of Nightmare moon were true she has seen and done far worse to those who wronged her. Maybe she just needs a little nudge to embrace that side of her again. I think as I take a few steps towards her which causes her gaze to snap to me. “Luna, relax, it’s me. It’s Twilight.”

“Yes we are aware but… Twilight, this is not right.”

“Not right? Luna, he raped and killed so many people. He nearly killed me. He has no remorse for his actions even now. What is wrong with doing to them what they would do unto others.”

“Twilight, this isn’t the way-”

“Luna, Friendship and kindness won’t help you here.” I sternly raise my voice silencing Luna who shrinks away from me slightly. Taking a deep breath I lower myself down and look at her with soft eyes. “Luna, sometimes being cruel is needed to set an example. Do I enjoy getting revenge, sure. But in the end it serves another means.” I say and I turn to look at Vo as I move to be beside Luna. “He had his chances to change, imagine what this rat would have done if he found our home.” I say quietly into Luna’s ear and I grin slightly as I see her fur prickle at the thought.

Without a second of hesitation Luna takes my hand and shakes it with a small smile on her lips. Sorry Luna, I can’t take any chances.

Chapter 6 Dueling

“So, how do you two feel about a hand to hand duel?” Korzak asks as he comes to us, having finished testing Luna’s many transformation potions, we now sit waiting for the potions to restore Vo to a not dying state.

“Hand to hand? Seems interesting, though I have a feeling you might have an advantage against me.” I say with a smile as I look at him and he lets out a snort.

“You say that yet you have wings.”

“Would these be allowed?” I ask and instead of Korzak answering it is Luna who speaks up.

“Well, Hand to hand usually means just body oriented weapons, hooves, horns, hands, claws and so on. So wings would be allowed.” Getting a nod from Korzak he adds to Luna’s statement.

“That and if it were a true battle you would still have access to them.”

“Alright, then who first?” I ask and the two look at me then to themselves only to look back to me. Okay, I get the message you two. Getting up to my feet I look at Korzak and shoot him a grin. “Don’t hold back, okay?”

“I do have to say though. You did good on the follow up, could use a lot of work and you didn’t utilize the leverage you had available fully.” Korzak explains as he looks at me with a satisfied look on his face. “Now, hit me with all the magic you have in your punch.”

“Wait what?” I ask, confused by what he just asked. Does he want to have me break his bones or something?

“Hit me, I want to see what you’re capable of.”

“But you’ll get hurt.”

I awake with beads of sweat covering my entire body, looking around for the thing I have etched into my mind I find it is nowhere to be found and with a sigh of relief I notice I am in my bedroom, Korzak standing at the door to my chamber. He watches me and a gloomy look on his face. “You’re awake my Queen.”

“I am… how long was I out?” I ask, rubbing my head as a throb of pain shoots through it.

“Two hours.” He says.

“Two hours, twenty eight minutes, seven seconds.” Corrupt me says right after Korzak as if to correct him. Really? “What? It got boring waiting for you to wake up.” Rolling my eyes I realize once again she is still a lot like me.

“I’m sorry I passed out like that. I think I might have a cold or something.” I lie but Korzak looks at me longly. I feel as if he is analyzing me, sizing me up and criticizing my very being as he remains silent. It’s only after five minutes of silence that he speaks.

“You can’t see magic fully, can you?”

“I…” I hadn’t expected to hear a question like that when he spoke. “I can’t. Why do you ask?”

“There is something that was messing with your magic… mixing with it. That was foreign.” Then… that thing I saw, it wasn’t just a hallucination?

“I think something is going on. We need to grill him.” My Corruption says and I mentally agree.

“What is this foreign thing?” I ask softly, Korzak rubs his jaw in silence for a bit but with a heavy sigh he shrugs and says.

“I’m not sure. I saw it when you started casting and using a large amount of magic. I’m not sure what it was you did but drawing all your magic made you a sort of… beacon for those that can see magic. That magic drew in a black mist that settled on you and mixed with your wellspring as you drew on it.”

“Then… is the thing gone?”

“I… don’t know, it seemed to eat you but then it shrank as if you absorbed it.” That… doesn't sound good. I need to talk to Alexander about this.

Chapter 7 Gods

I walk down the hall that leads to the dining hall of the castle, my gut swirling at the thought of what this could be. The books however are odd, they are not tombs of knowledge, instead they are books that seem like they would be personal log books, or journals.

“Alright, it started this morning. “Well, that certainly was quite the explanation. From what I can tell, it might be the disembodied essence of one of this world's Gods. Though that is just a theory, the way you described him fits how he is described in document’s from others who have had run-ins with him.” Alexander casually explains as he waves his hand. “Pay him no mind my dear.”

“I… I would but it… I mean he said something along the lines of me being his vessel.” I say and for a split second I could have sworn Alexander's eyes shined with delight. However in the next moment he is booking at me as he usually does.

“Hm, well it might be that he sees you as a potential person they can have as a kind of Avatar or something along those lines. The story goes that Nilnira didn’t kill him but separated his spirit from his body and dumped the body into a vast canyon system that later became the red sea.” Alexander explains and I look at him with an arched brow.

“How does this help me?”

“Well you see, if she just bound up the body and threw it down into a canyon that is now below the red sea, then if you get it back. He will have his old form back and won’t need you.”

“I… how exactly should I get what is likely a melted body out of the ocean of Lava!?” I yell feeling a blood vessel in my head about to burst from what was just suggested.

“Oh come now Darling, you think Lava would melt his body. He is a god, his body is near indestructible. Now getting it out, that will be a challenge. I reluctantly give him a nod and turn and walk out of the dining room but as I close the door behind myself I hear Corruption speak up.

“This… isn’t good Twilight.”

“You heard that too.”

“Well yes but the matrix. I haven’t fully combed over it but Alexander knows more than he let on.” They say with worry etched in their voice.

“Well… The spell he was modifying is a matrix that is sacrificial and from what I can tell… it's to allow one’s soul to be ripped out and another person's soul to be forced into the vacant body.”

Chapter 8 Comfort

We will also test some enhanced feline eyes next to see if the night vision could cause issues when bright light is used on them in the dead of night. We will also see how the heat resistant tongue has held up and we will be returning to the Rodents normal tongue for a short time.”
