The Wasteland Chronicles latest edition is out!" A lonely ghoul pony wanders the wastelands, dragging behind them a brown messenger bag full of…newspapers behind them? Well, they won’t need that anymore. A shot hits the ghoul pony right in the head, coming out of seemingly nowhere. Its brains and eyes blow out, they fell dead to the ground. A pool of crimson red starts leaking around its head. “Whew, no blood on the Newspapers!” The excited pony exclaims as they get closer to the now-dead ghoul pony. The cheery pony bounces off with the brown messenger bag between their teeth, making their way off to the next settlement where they know they can read it in peace. 📰 How the Fallout Began By Lost Paperworks Equestria's Last Writer 📰 Once upon a time, many creatures in the magical land of Equestria lived in harmony. From Ponies, Zebras, and Alicorns, to Griffons, Kirin, Yaks, Changelings, Dragons and so many more! Princess Twilight Sparkle and her new School of Friendship had helped bring harmony together for several years after the retirement of the two Princesses. As their enrollment list grew each year they found it harder to accommodate some of the other creatures. They had to deny students, which had caused some rifts between the parents and the new leader of Equestria. This all leads to the start of our story... Princess Twilight Sparkle sat down with her School Council and Headmistress Starlight to discuss the matter at hand within the School, in the marble and gem-filled conference room. The rest of the school was out for the week for the Spring Festival of the Two Sisters. “My dearest friends, our fears may be upon us soon. We can’t keep up with all of these new students. I’m really not sure what we can do. That is why I have called you all here today.” Twilight’s face had grown weary over the years, wrinkles had started appearing on her forehead due to the amount of stress. She looked around the table, the others didn’t seem to fair as well either. A voice came from her left towards the back, “Twilight, now, I know we all might be understaffed for this. And you know, have no more room for anypony, but we can’t do anything about it. We already rounded up all the greatest teachers from here to the Crystal Empire!” Applejack slammed her hoof down on the table, to make her point made. There wasn’t enough room, even after expanding as much as possible for the school. And they were out of Teachers who could help teach friendship skills. They seemed all out of options. A hesitant “Weeeell, I do know some ponies that could help...But they wouldn't be ponies necessarily…” Came from Rainbow Dash on Twilight’s right. Rarity was next to speak about it, “We Cannot invite those…savages here again! And to teach full time, Dash, we simply mustn't allow them to ruin the whole school..again! Do you remember all the dresses?! The class had just finished them for the Grand Galloping Galla and they DESTROYED them all!” With a flourish, she began weeping into her soft purple fur coat, Fluttershy gently patting her on the back with her hoof. Twilight gently patted her friend’s back with her hoof, which was an easy reach thanks to her recent Alicorn height growth, “Rainbow Dash…while Rarity is right about the destroyed projects of that class, they also ran through several of the walls after seeing Pinkie Pie in her Halloween costume. I know the students can catch on to more, but the adults have proven to…be difficult in their new surroundings. It was a challenge already to deal with them for a whole school year. I don’t think that’s an option for the sake of the school…And Rairty’s sanity.” She looked at her friends with a grimace, knowing Dash’s idea would bring disaster once again for the students and the faculty. A small voice chimed in from the left, “Maybe we could let the animals teach the lessons? Oh, I just know my sweet Angel would be perfect for teaching friendship.” Fluttershy hugs her small white bunny close, while her bunny Angel rolls it’s eyes. “Well Twilight, we could let Flutterhy’s bunny teach a class, or let other creatures who supposedly destroy our school in; Or the Great and Powerful Trixie could cast a Douplaganger spell and be in all the classes at once!” Trixie got up on her back hooves, opening her cape up and letting some small fireworks explode over her head in a very theatrical way. “Trixie…That’s a good idea, but the last time we did that, we ended up with different parts of ourselves running around Equestria causing havoc. We need to come up with a solution before the end of the school year, so we can better prepare for the next. I’ll let you all think on it for a semester.” Twilight spoke with a sigh, and with that, her friends nodded, understanding that they needed to come up with a plan, and soon. They began filling out of the room one by one. The last blue-haired pony glanced around before galloping off towards the right of the school, upon a dirt path leading out of Equestria. A certain rainbow-haired pegasus watching carefully from her perch upon the school's highest tower, watching for any rainclouds. She was the first to witness the start of this tragic tale. 📰 “Well now, I didn’t know about this! I mean, the story our Leaders tell us is…quite a different one indeed. I wonder if they know about this.” The usual cheery pony was sat with their hooves in the air against the wall of her run-down home and holding the newspaper above her head. “The Wasteland Chronicles huh? I definitely have to spread this news around!” And off she went, hopping back up with the strap of the bag in her teeth again rushing out of the story, unaware of the dangers the story can bring to others.
