A Medicine Cat among Ponies

*Pinkie's POV (still)*

Rainbow spoke "Not again! But it won’t work this time."

“Right!” Spottedleaf agreed, staying strong as Shima, Rarity and Deep Lilac felt charged up.

Shima spoke "Ready anytime!"

Rarity spoke "Time for the spotlight!"

Deep Lilac spoke "Let’s get serious."

It was soon Fever Time as Seiko and Sapphire joined in while Rainbow helped Spottedleaf break free as the Abyssinian/alicorn hybrid danced along too.

Seiko spoke "We’ll help shake things up."

Spottedleaf spoke "I won’t lose heart again!"

Sapphire spoke "Time to make this interesting."

The six of them were dancing in perfect sync.

Seiko spoke "Looking great, Shima."

Shima spoke "You saved me again. You’re so dependable."

Spottedleaf spoke "Sorry about the late entry, hope this dance made up for it."

Rarity spoke "You are not at fault, Spot."

Deep Lilac spoke "That was pretty amazing."

Sapphire spoke "Glad I could help."

Kaze spoke "Your passionate feelings totally came across."

Fever Time ended as Seiko, Spottedleaf and Sapphire backed off.

Shima spoke "That was amazing, Seiko-kun! I could really sense your feelings!"

Rarity spoke "You truly have improved, Spottedleaf. Well done!"

Deep Lilac spoke "Thanks for the help, Sapphire. Really appreciate it."

The three kept dancing as it was later Fever Time again with Seiko, Spottedleaf and Sapphire coming back in. The six danced like real pros as Fever Time soon ended as the three later finished their dance.

Shima spoke "Persona!"

Shima summoned her persona as Konohana Sakuya gained a saxophone before playing it awesomely, causing the Shadows to glow brightly.

The Shadows disappeared into light while cheering as the ribbons disintegrated.

Shima asks "Thank goodness… I guess they understood us. How well did we dance though, I wonder?"

Deep Lilac spoke "I'm noticing a pattern here... What that voice is saying isn't true at all! Real unity is built on friendships!"

Tamami spoke "Wow… Wh-Who are these creatures? Are they really amateurs? Their moves weren’t anything special, but the emotions in those dances… I… I can’t possibly…"

Eerie Voice spoke "Do you see now, Tamami…? They’ll only hurt you. You’re not like them… They can’t save you."

Kaze growls "Stop being a sore loser! You trying to pull something else?"

The eerie voice spoke "Hmhmhm. Me? No, no… I am offering friendship while you’re the ones tormenting Tamami. After all, Starlight once yearned for mine."

Tamami spoke "No… I… I need to be number one… The best… or else, my place… M-My purpose…"

Seiko spoke "Tamami-san! Stay calm!"

Tamami spoke "N-No! I…!"

But then all of a sudden, Tamami was caught by ribbons and dragged beyond the opened gate.

Tamami screams "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…!"

Kaze spoke "Tamami!"

Shima spoke "Tamami-san!"

Those ribbons got Tamami faster than Rainbow Dash could’ve blinked!

Rainbow gasps "H-How…?"

Kaze asks "Dammit! What the hell was that…!?"

Seiko asks "We can’t “save” Tamami-san? What did that voice mean…?"

Emerald spoke "Later! We have to hurry! She wasn’t acting normal at all… Tamami-chan is in danger!"

Rainbow spoke "Yeah, no time to chitchat!"

Shima spoke "You’re right. Let’s chase after her!"

We all agreed before dashing past the gate before soon arriving inside a giant tent.

Kaze spoke "What the-This is an actual circus tent!"

To our horror, OC-verse Danyelle and the former baddies from her universe had the ribbons on them.

Rainbow spoke "Karei tried to warn her!"

Kaze asks "Wait, is Tamami really here…?"

Shima spoke "I see her…! Over there!"

We saw Tamami at the center of the tent, standing with a spotlight over her.

Tamami snaps "Shut up…! I’m going to be the best! The number one idol in the industry! Do you have any idea how much work I’ve done? How hard I’ve worked for that…!?"

The Eerie Voice taunts "Hahaha… True, you’ve put a lot of effort into realizing your goal. But is that what YOU really want?

Tamami: Huh…?"

Eerie Voice spoke "You just want to be accepted… All your life, your famous actress of a mother and your beloved father have told you to be a star.

Tamami: How… How could you know about that!?

The Eerie Voice laughs Hahaha… I know everything about you… And I know how badly you’re hurting inside. You’ve been trying hard for them, but you’re well aware that you’ll never live up to your mother’s image… or even Kanami. And since you’re not the best, no one is going to accept you. No one will ever love you… Poor Tamami.

Tamami spoke "Stop… Stop it, stop it, STOP IT!

Uh-oh! This seems familiar, Tamami rejecting everything the voice is saying like that. We rushed for her and the others.

Kaze spoke "This is bad…! We gotta hurry!"

Kiko spoke "Right now!"

Seiko spoke "Tamami-san…!"

Shima spoke "Tamami-san…!"

Others of us called out too.

Tamami spoke "……! Ah…"

Eerie Voice: Look… They’ve come for you and some audience members, Tamami… Stronger, more talented creatures, here to “save” helpless little beings… Yes… I know that you aren’t strong. You don’t really want to be the best…

Tamami spoke "No, that’s not true… I…"

The Eerie Voice spoke "It’s alright… Don’t kill yourself over something you’re not. Creatures want you just the way you are. Just listen for yourself. Listen to everyone’s voices…

A Cynical Voice asks "Tamami doesn’t need to be number one. Her looks are pretty average, but she’s still decently popular. Who cares if she doesn’t sell that much?"

We heard an unfamiliar voice like it was whispered directly into our ears.

Goryuu asks "Huh!? Who was that?!"

Emerald asks "Wh-What the…!? Who’s talking!?"

Kaze asks "I don’t know! But is he talking about Tamami!?"

A Frivolous Voice spoke "I know, right? As long as she’s fun to watch, I’m totally fine. She’s kind of a natural airhead. All she needs to do is make us laugh sometimes!"

A Timid Voice spoke "I don’t want her to break out or anything… I’d prefer she just kept being the group’s comic relief."

A Sleazy Voice asks "I heard she does a ridiculous amount of training on her own, but why? She won’t lose her job as long as she keeps creature laughing, don’tcha think?

Tamami spoke "Ah… I…"

The Eerie Voice spoke "See, Tamami? You don’t need to go to such trouble. No one expects it… Won’t you accept these creature’s desires? You can leave your days of pain and hardship behind."

Tamami spoke "…I see… *Weak giggle* I never needed to work hard… after all…"

But then Tamami was wrapped up in ribbons like caught in a web while lifted in the air.

Kaze spoke "Tamami…!"

Emerald spoke "Tamami-chan!"

Tamami spoke "I don’t care anymore… If that’s what everybody wants… I might as well take the easy way."

Tamami was suddenly wrapped into a ribbon cocoon as black mist washed over it and her body.

Goryuu spoke "Dammit! This isn’t good!"

Seiko: She’s been taken in by the voice’s power…!

Eerie Voice spoke "Hmhmhm… There, we’re connected. Now you can become the Tamami everyone wants."

The cocoon grew bigger before it bursted open, revealing a giant clown-like Shadow.

A voice laughs "Ahaha…! Yes, it feels great! This is the me that all the creatures love…! I’m totally fine with this… Everybody will accept me now! And all I had to do was forget about myself!"

But then the audience stands on the lower floor became crowded with ribbon-bound Shadows.

Emerald spoke "Ugh… I’ve had enough of this! Throwing your feelings away, pandering to creatures so they’d like you!? There’s no point in that!"

Rainbow spoke "You’re tellin’ me! Doing your absolute best and hardest is awesome, especially when you push past the limits to improve!"

Emerald spoke "Creatures should be proud of you for training like crazy, for fighting to make yourself even better!"

Goryuu spoke "Atta girl, Emmie!"

Emerald spoke "I know you know that, Tamami-chan! And I’m not gonna forgive anyone who doesn’t respect hard work!"

Most of us were surprised.

Shima spoke "Emerald…!"

Emerald spoke "There’s lots of things I hate about myself… I tried to hide them, worried that others might not like me… But these guys saw me inside and out, and they accepted me for who I am! That’s why I’m with them now! All of the important stuff that everyone taught me… I’ll get it through to you, Tamami-chan!

Kaze spoke "Yeah, Emerald! Knock ‘em dead!"

Karei spoke "*Through telepathy by Himiko* Emerald-senpai… I heard everything!"

Emerald spoke "Karei-chan! Eheh, it’s kinda embarrassing… but there you have it! So cue it up!"

Goryuu spoke "I’m in!"

Rainbow spoke "Me too!"

Karei spoke "*Through telepathy by Himiko* Yeah! I’m cranking it up, so show me that fancy footwork!"

Emerald spoke "Alrighty then… Let’s do this!"

Rainbow Dash spoke "Showtime!"

Goryuu spoke "Here we go!"

The trio readied to dance.

Emerald spoke "Tamami-chan, we’ll save you and the others in no time!"

Rainbow spoke "Hang tight, Other Dany!"

Goryuu spoke "Don’t worry, you’ll snap out of it soon enough!"

Kaze spoke "You’re on fire, Emerald! Show off those kicks!"

Trixie spoke "Time to steal the show, Rainbow Dash!"

“Count me in, Gory!” I smiled as the music started with Adagio helping with the vocals as the trio started dancing while the clown Shadow bounced up and off between two trampolines.

OC-verse Chrysalis was chewing through the ribbons in attempt to break free.

Soon, the three felt charged up.

Emerald spoke "Yeah! Ready whenever!"

Rainbow Dash spoke "Alright! Awesome time comin’ on!"

Goryuu spoke "Heh, no more amateur hour."

It was soon Fever Time, causing the laughing masks to change color and start crying in horror with the two portraits to change color to while moving like they were laughing.

Kaze spoke "*Joins in* Alright! Things are heating up!"

Trixie spoke "*Joins in* Time for a star performance!"

“Let’s show those Shadows laughter AND hard work!” I quipped while joining in as the six of us were dancing expertly while in sync.

Kaze asks "That’s the spirit! Tamami, can you hear us?"

Emerald spoke "Thanks, Kaze. I knew you could do it if you try."

Trixie spoke "Other Danyelle, all eyes are on us!"

Rainbow Dash spoke "You bet, Trix, and I bet they’re hearing us too!"

“Make sure to be all ears, folks! Causing the voices in our performance are turned up to 11!” I declared.

Goryuu spoke "Haha! They’re paying attention alright, Pinkie-hime!"

Seiko spoke "Good! I can sense all your passion."

Emerald spoke "*As Kaze, Trixie and I backed off a bit with Fever Time ending* Whoo-hoo-hoo! I guess your moves aren’t just for show. Thanks!"

Rainbow spoke "Hahaha! Looks like you’re great and powerful after all, Trixie. Not bad!"

Goryuu spoke "Thanks for making this fun, Pinkster: Let’s do it again sometime."

The three kept dancing as they later felt charged up again. It was soon Fever Time again as the clown Shadow stopped midair between the trampolines and inflated to the point of immobility, making the belly face red and frowning with the nose flashing. Meanwhile, Chrysalis broke free as she started freeing the others trapped.

Kaze spoke "*Joining in* We’re butting in!"

Trixie spoke "*Joining in* Let’s end this dance!"

“Time to finish this with a bang!” I whooped as I joined in again too.

Kaze spoke "We’ll have you, Other Danyelle and the others saved in no time, Tamami!"

Emerald spoke "Not bad, Kaze! You’ve rocked the house!"

Trixie spoke "You better hope you’re hearing this performance, Other Danyelle!"

Rainbow spoke "Of course she and the others are hearing it, Trix! You’re doing awesome!

“Time to wrap this up!” I declared.

Goryuu spoke "Yeah, we’re almost done! Great job, Pinkie!

Shima spoke "Oh, you’re all doing great!

Emerald spoke "*As Kaze, Trixie and I backed off with Fever Time ending* You nailed it, Kaze! You’re pretty good too!

Rainbow spoke "Way to blow away the crowd, Trixie! That was sweet!"

Goryuu spoke "You’re definitely a party girl, Pinkster! Don’t stop partying."

The trio soon finished their dance.

Emerald, Rainbow Dash and Goryuu spoke "Persona!"

The three summoned their Personas as the clown Shadow became still with the nose stop flashing. Tomoe gained a green trumpet, Jing Wei regained the electric guitar as Guan Yu summoned a pair of maracas before they played ‘em like pros, causing the clown Shadow’s nose to flash rapidly as it screamed in pain and writhed while becoming enveloped in light before OC-verse Chrysalis freed everyone else.

Kaze asks "Did that do it…!?"

The monster soon crumbled away, revealing Tamami.

Tamami groans "Ugh… Ahh…! I…"

Tamami opened her eyes.

Emerald spoke "Tamami-chan!"

Kaze spoke "Tamami…"

Rainbow Dash spoke "Other Danyelle!"

Tamami: I… What…? Oh, that’s right… Hahah, well… I guess I really blew it there…"

OC-verse Danyelle spoke "What was I thinking…? I’m such an idiot…"

Kaze: Eh, no biggie, right?

Emerald: Yeah! What’s important is that you, Other Danyelle and the others here get it now, Tamami-chan.

Tamami spoke "Oh man… I thought I did everything I could, but I didn’t realize I had so much to learn…"

OC-verse Danyelle spoke "I was so hung up on my past and that war… thinking I was still weak even though I had powers… But I was only weak because I couldn’t trust my friends or believe in them… I’m sorry."

We could feel new resolves in those two.

Tamami spoke "I’m going to stick to my extra voice training, and all the dance lessons…! No matter what anyone else thinks, I won’t give up! I’ll keep at it so one day, I’ll be able to express my real self to those creatures I heard!"

OC-verse Danyelle spoke "I’ll keep getting stronger, not so you guys won’t worry about me or so I’ll do everything on my own, but so I’ll be able to protect my friends as they protect me.

Tamami spoke "Thank you so much… Emerald-san, Rainbow-hime, Goryuu-san. And all of you too."

OC-verse Danyelle spoke "Yeah, thank you all so much for helping me realize that."

Seiko spoke "Good luck, you two. I’m sure you both can do it."

OC-verse Gilda spoke "Remember what you told me Dany? The past can hurt but the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it."

OC-verse Chrysalis spoke "And besides, no creature is flawless."

OC-Verse Danyelle spoke "Thanks, you two."

Tamami spoke "BUT! I'm still gonna be number one! No more helpless little chick, ever! From now on, I'm the one doing the saving! It'll be exciting! Dramatic! Like I'd suddenly appear and save a puppy caught in a storm drain!"

Rarity spoke "*Surprised* Oh my...!"

Kaze asks "*Whispers to Emerald, Rainbow Dash, Trixie, Goryuu and I* Hey... You think she knows this kind of stuff is why creatures think of her as the goofy one...?"

Emerald spoke "*Whispers back* Don't ask me...!"

OC-verse Adagio laughs "The possibilities are endless!"
