The Unknown Princess
Shining Through
Previous Chapter[left]
The uaslly slightly busy and proud Canterlot was awakened when Celestia lifted her horn and brought the sun up. Right when the rays peeked through and Equestria was lit up, everyone went to work. News had spread like wildfire that an important, yes unknown, Princess was coming to visit Canterlot.....
In ponyville.
Twilight Sparkle opened her eyes, gladly staring at the sunlight coming in through her window. She sat up groggily and looked down at a baby dragon sleeping in a basket. "Spike!" Twilight said, poking the Dragon. "Huh, Whut?" he sat up rubbing his eyes. "The sun has been up for a few hours! We need to get to work" Twilight insisted. "What?! But it’s Sunday. Can't we take a break like every other week?" he complained. Twilight blushed; she had completely forgotten that it was Sunday. "Ohh sorry. Well I guess I’ll just go see how’s Rarity’s doing" she said. Spike jumped out of his bed, "Ill go with you!" Twilight laughed and walked down the stairs. Had she not taken more than five steps when Rainbow Dash flew up into her Face, "Did you hear the news?!" the Pegasus exclaimed. Twilight shook her head, "Sorry Rainbow Dash but I haven’t. I just got up" Fluttershy came right after rainbow dash, flying just off the ground. "R-really? you haven't? I thought you would have known right away" she said quietly. Twilight was still confused, "Ok tell me, what’s such big news?" she asked. "There’s an unknown princess visiting Canterlot! I thought Princess Celestia would have sent you a letter by now!" Rainbow Dash Said Excitedly. Twilight yet again shook her head, this time in amazement. "Really? Wow. Sadly the Princess hasn't Sent me a letter yet" Spike came to the door, holding his stomach. "D-don’t Count on it Twilight" he said and held out a scroll. Twilight smiled, "Thanks Spike. Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash. Let’s go find the others and see what this says!" she said, trotting out the door.
An hour later the Mane six had gathered and twilight held up the scroll, "Ok let’s see what it says" She opened it and read it out loud.
" Dear Twilight,
I have recently been sent a letter, announcing my unknown sister would arrive at Canterlot right at evening. I hope you and your friends can come straight away to help out. I would love everyone to help with the evening party and the welcoming of Princess Eve. Rainbow Dash, I wish for you to perform a Sonic Rainboom and a few Tricks when she arrives. Apple jack and Pinkie Pie will make a cake; Rarity will make a special crown for Princess Eve and a banner for her Welcoming. Fluttershy, I want your song bird choir to perform and a few flight birds to fly around during the party. Twilight, you shall of course watch over with everything.
I shall send a Chariot to pick all of you up.
Signed,
Princess Celestia. "
Rainbow dash was first to speak, "Cool! I get to perform for a Royal Goddess!" she cried frumpishly. Rarity looked at the blue Pegasus, "My dear! That is nothing compared to my job. Creating a crown for a Goddess. The simple thought it wonderful!" she gave a careful and dramatic swoon. "Y'all hold on there. Everyone’s job is equally important" Apple Jack butted in, not wanting an argument to start. Pinkie pie jumped up, "YESS! LETS GET TO PLANNING!" she said and started bouncing off.
Even with this big arrival coming up, Princess Eve's house was the same ehas always. She just wanted to go simple. No special things except her crown. Even her chariot would be the same. She had decided to give everyone not needed to prepare the day off. She walked around the rather small palace. She just didn't know what to do. She was happy she was finally going to see her sisters again, and she couldn't wait to see the kingdom again. Yet, what if no one bothered? What if no one even recognized her as a Goddess? Or even Royalty? The Princess forced herself to smile and called for her chariot. The sun was starting to go down, and she had a place to be. Mounting into her seat with her crown on her two Flyers stood ready to go. As the last rays of the suns went down, they took off.
