you're probably wondering who I am, I go by many names but I'm mostly known as " the watcher".
But now I will tell you another story although I will warn you this one is much darker then the last. This is a tale of death and betrayal but just because it's about those two things doesn't mean this isn't a happy story.

okay so when characters are sing a duet (or jut singing by themselves) they will have different colours to tell them apart
so Cozy glow will be pink and StarGazer will be blue and together thay will be purple.

A few weeks had passed by since StarGazer was declared innocent, and now he and his best friend Cozy Glow were heading to their first day of school. Cozy was felling excited, but StarGazer was nervous and he kept having dark thoughts " what if the same thing that happened to him happens here to?! I don't want to be responsible for another murder!" he though to himself. Cozy could see that her best friend was worried so she started to sing their favourite song.

"Welcomed you

How fragile their souls were to your abuse
I let you roam around care free
They're not your enemies"
"All this time
Determination served as your lone guide
Mercy or genocide yours to decide
But consequences they increase

they soon entered their new school, StarGazer now feeling less nervous. "all right class we have two new students" miss Cheerilee Spoke " I want everypony to give a warm welcome to StarGazer and Cozy Glow!" the class gasped knowing both of the new classmates. StarGazer and Cozy glow awkwardly made their way to two empty seats a the back. a colt was by Cozy and a filly. "PSST" the filly next to StarGazer said, She had a blonde coat a red bow and a crimson mane. her cutie mark was a shield or a badge of multiple colours with an apple inside it "Whenever we have a new student they fill out a form telling everypony about themselves" she gave two fill-out sheets to him and he passed one to Cozy Glow, "Uhm Thanks?" StarGazer whispered to the filly " your welcome!" she beamed "mah name's Apple Bloom by the way". "mine is StarGazer." he continued fill out the form and sooner or later he was finished. And just in time for music class.

a few weeks go bye after the splash zone derby and everything was fine. until Apple Bloom noticed that StarGazer doesn't have his cutie mark so after school she went to talk to him.

when StarGazer finally made it to Cozy Glow's house, he floated up to her window and knocked on it. "Couldn't have you used the door?" she asked, "Your right but I was too excited to show you this!" he turned around to show her his brand new cutie mark, "also do you have paper?". Cozy was confused but gave him paper anyway he quickly wrote a letter to princess Twilight telling the bad news about Sombra and teleported the scroll to Canterlot. Cozy was still kind of confused but she didn't really care. She was just really happy for her friend they hung out for a while but eventually StarGazer went home, Suddenly Cozy was teleported and she knew where she, she was in Grogar's cave and standing in front of her was King Sombra, Queen Chrysalis and Lord Tirek, "Welcome Cozy Glow" Sombra spoke "I've brought you here because we are planning an attack on Canterlot, now I know you might not want to but imagen all the power you'll have all to yourself and nopony else!" then an evil grin formed on her face as she gave a nod of approval, as they broke into song
"Lights, camera, action
Another day in traction
Of being bashed and whacked
To rack up ponies' reactions

Apparently, it's the fashion
To be lacking in compassion
Require a villain to balance
And then fire at him with Magic

We will smile through the pain
Then climb up and start again
Living someone else's game
As we tumble to the ground

Planting faces in the pavement
For our enemies' entertainment
No one said when chasing fame
That the direction would be down

For the stupid pony friends
We just pray they meet their end

Hoping it's the one that opens
We've no noses to be broken
But our spirits feel the sting

One more baton to the face
At the back end of the race
Never-ending fall from grace
Second place don't mean a thing

* A few weeks later *
"Where is she?!" StarGazer spoke it had been a few weeks since Cozy's disappearance. He grew more sick with worry and tiredness by the day. missing posters were scattered around Ponyville most of them saying "Have you seen me?" or "MISSING" but nopony was ever able to find her, weeks turned into months. But then on a chill winter's morning …

On a chill winter morning, dark clouds swarmed the sky and the evil laugh of Sombra echoed through out the land as a huge burst of dark magic swept all over Equestria, putting every creature under a spell a mind control spell. All except for StarGazer, naturally being a cross-breed he was immune to mind control (because the spell can't tell if he's one species or the other so it cancels out). StarGazer was confused but he didn't have time to think, as he was teleported into a cell of crystals. "Welcome StarGazer" Sombra spoke as he came out of the shadows with Tirek and Chrysalis, another creature stayed in the shadows "Let me go!" StarGazer shouted his shout echoed through out the jail. "We can't do that because your a threat" Sombra replied "because your a cross-breed!". StarGazer questioned how he would know that "Oh, a little friend told us" he said as Tirek and Chrysalis shove alicorn Cozy Glow out of the shadows.

StarGazer couldn't believe his eyes no he refused to believe it, "You betrayed me." StarGazer muttered "just like them" Cozy tired to explain but StarGazer didn't want to hear it. "YOU SAID THAT YOU WOULDN'T TURN OUT LIKE THEM! YOU CROSSED YOUR HEART AND HOPED TO FLY YOU EVEN STUCK A CUPCAKE IN YOUR EYE!" he shouted as tears rushed out of his eyes "Who is 'them'?!" Cozy asked "TENDER TAPS! I never told you that because I knew that you had a friendship with him a good one at that." "How heart-breaking" then the villains leave the as StarGazer breaks down in tears. suddenly he heard a voice whisper in his ear it was one of his favourite songs.

after that a colt appeared right next to StarGazer his eyes, mane and tail were all a bright red while his coat was a dark black however StarGazer knew who it was. It was Tender Taps but he wasn't a pony he was a ghoul then to break the silence he spoke. "You know I have forgiven you for what you did to me." a face of confusion and guilt was shown on StarGazer's face, "and you know what, I was a jerk, but I was forced to. You see my parents forced me to do it otherwise they would make sure you never saw the light of day again, they don't like other species let alone a cross-breed no offences. but now our home is in danger and it needs us Stargazer. So are you going to help me or not?" Tender said as he busted the prison open "of course I will." StarGazer spoke before fleeing the room with Tender Taps

Chapter 9: The last stand

Silent. They both needed to be silent as they were planning a ambush on the villains. After all they were the last stand between Equestria and the great evils that wish to destroy it. "Okay so I want to teach you how to use soul magic." Tender whispered a face of confusion appeared on StarGazer's face "Basically you want to channel your emotions and turn it into magic, I would give a demonstration but we are not in a good spot right now". Suddenly they fell through the air vent landing a few meters from the villains StarGazer quickly turned into a bug and Tender Taps floated back to the vent. they snuck around. StarGazer growing more angry every time he saw Cozy Glow but couldn't help but notice a face of guilt on her face, he could sense that there was still some good in Cozy. But he still needed to take out the other villains, so he channelled his soul magic and he turned into a shadow version of himself with blue mane, tail. his coat was pure black and his eyes purple.

StarGazer wasn't sure if Cozy would fight with him and Tender taps. But she did, she turned on the rest of the villains and together they banished them to the either. and they had freed every one form Sombra's control. But Equestria was left in ruins, so they spent weeks mostly months to rebuild it, Together.

Prologue (rewrite)

A explosion can be heard from a distance, it was a house that belonged to an orphaned cross-breed. his enemy blew it up with some fire works and was no going for him. the enemy tried to punch and kick the colt but failed as he dodged every attack. the only thing that survived the explosion was a kitchen knife the colt levitated it with his magic and brought the handle to his chest as a warning. The enemy rushed at him but tripped and his neck went through the knife making him bleed. the colt watched in horror as the enemy gave out his last breath and died. The colt was mortified, This was not his intention all he wanted to do was protect himself. the colt ran to the wreckage of his former home, hoping that there would be something to salvage. But if there was anything it either had been destroyed in the explosion or was currently burning in the fires that littered the now destroyed home. Later somepony had reported the mix-race to princess Twilight. the colt ran away to a cave in the everfree mountains. His name was StarGazer and now he was a murderer.

the class gave a round of applause as he went back to his seat and he gave Cozy a hoof bump. eventually the bell rang and it was now lunch time. even though StarGazer was a good singer nopony wanted to be with him, well other than Cozy of course they ended up in a short and safe ally between a fence and the school wall it was filled to the brim with junk and all sorts of items. but their eyes lit up when they saw a still functioning karaoke machine and ever since their break and lunch times were filled with singing and fun
