the tale of the uss Carolina.

It was an early morning as the crew of the battleship Carolina started to steam up the ship for her noon departure.

"how is it going mr Detrick" Asked captain john.

"we have steam up and are ready to leave when we want to captain" replied Detrick.

Many people came to see the mighty battleship leave before its final decimating. Everyone was said as the mighty carol the nickname the ship had was due to be retired.

As the clock struck noon the mighty leviathan of a ship cast of its lines and headed out to sea. The ship made excellent time as she sailed the north atlantic. But by day three the Carolina hit a very heavy fog bank.

"slow her down to 6 knots" the captain said.

"Yes sir" replied the helmsman.

The ship slugged its way through the thick fog.

"Man my radar is all messed up" radarman wise said.

"Why do you say that" asked one of his friends.

"It says we have land all around us like were in a river" replied wise.

"Ill let the lieutenant know" replied his friend.

Suddenly the fog vanished and there in front of the ship was a huge city that looked like new York.

"What the hell" was all the captain said as a spout of water came shooting up almost 100 yards In front of the ship.

"Hard left rudder all hand general quarters" yelled the captain and sirens and klaxons blared as the crew of the maned there battle stations.

"One shot from the eight inch gun 75 yards from the ports entrance" yelled the captain.

One of the huge eight inch cannons moved and fired its 785 pound high explosive shell into the water sending forth a huge wall of water.

Inside the port of marehatten.

"Sir an unknown ship has been spotted" Said a pony human to another one behind a desk.

"How big is it" asked the pony human who was wearing an outfit with three stars on it.

"Well sir the reports say it is as big as 3 to 4 of our own warships" replied the pony human who had a nametag with the name cannon on.

"Where is it now asked" the other pony human said with a name tag that said chief on it.

"About one mile from the ports entrance" replied the pony human cannon.

"ok if they do not stop fire a warning shot if they come in range" the pony human chief said.

Back on the Carolina

Everyone held there breath as they looked on the mighty battleship sat ready to rain down lead if they couldn't get communication trough. Wise was working the radio when he heard talking and started to respond.

"Who is this" asked the person on the other end of the radio.

"My name is private wise radar/radio man of the USS Carolina" wise replied.

"Carolina you are in equestrian territorial waters and you must stand down and surrender or you will be fired upon" the person said.

Wise looked back to see the captain who had been alerted and was there to help.

"I'll take over" the captain said to wise.

"Hello I am the captain of the Carolina john rogers" the man said over the radio " and we will not surrender".

"Please put back on the pony who was talking before you" the person said.

The crew in the weapon control just turned and stared at wise as he gulped. the captain got up and had wise sit down.

"Well as the captain said we will not surrender" wise said a little nervously.

"We know you work for the griffons" replied a different person

"We don't work for the griffons as you say we are the Tillman battleship USS Carolina of the united states navy" replied wise.

There was a silence before the person spoke again.

"So if you don't work for the griffons then why did you fire at use" asked the person.

"Because you fired first we where just protecting ourselves" wise replied.

"Right how about we meet up and talk about this face to face" the person said.

Wise looked back at the captain who thought for a minute before nodding yes.

"Ok how about the beach just the the right of your ports entrance" Wise asked.

"Ok we will see you there in half an hour" replied the person.

The captain ordered men to prep the launches and talked to wise who the person wanted there about what and what not to say.

Back in Marehatten

"sir the ship has fired on of its cannons at our ports entrance" cannon said the chief.

"Ok I want you to" but before he could continue a knock on his door was heard a princess Celestia walked in.

Both ponies stood at attention as the royal walked in.

"You can stop now I was" but before Celestia could finish a pony ran in saying they had made contact with the ship.

Celestia and the two made there way to the radio room.

"May i do the talking" asked Celestia to the radio operator.

He gulped before letting Celestia talk to who ever was on the other end. After about 15 minutes Celestia took the radio headphones of before turning to admiral chief.

"Please get me 15 pony's with weapon and meet me on the beach to the ports right side" Celestia said.

"Of course my princess" Chief said before going to do what the princess wanted.

Celestia smiled and whispered just to herself of how that pony sounded cute as she licked her lips.
