He drew the assault rifle he was holding and started firing towards the Elites that just deployed out of the dropship, soon enough Noble 6's shields dropped and his visor cracked, he fired the rest of the mag into an Elite zealot dropping its shields making it go into a frenzy before he ran into a partially destroyed building. As he entered the building he slid into cover and reloaded his rifle as his shields recharged, after the rifle was reloaded he shot at more elites, "The longer I fight the more of them show up," noble 6 thought as he continued his efforts to survive, he was distracted by Elites firing plasma, and was suddenly picked up by an Elite ultra who hit his visor making it crack further. Noble 6 reacted quickly as he pulled out a combat knife and stabbed the Elite ultra in the throat, dropping onto his knees he tried to stand up in order to not let another Elite grab him, but it was futile in the end. Looking for his assault rifle he heard the voice of another member of Noble team, it was the voice of Kat-B320 and it he remembered her saying, "Where does he get off calling a demolition op priority one-"he remembered how she didn't even get to finish talking as she was interrupted by a projectile from a Gadulo-pattern needle rifle imbedding itself in the back of her head, but he knew that the voices were all in his head. There was another Elite zealot on top of him now, he tried to get the large Sangheili off him but it was too heavy, but then he saw a flash of light in the corner of his visor. Location: Canterlot Castle, Canterlot, Equestria Miserably, Princess Celestia sat in throne room during day court, she was listening to the whining of Canterlot nobility over simple stuff like removing all farms to make way for more profitable businesses, of course she wouldn't do anything about it, but it was still part of her life, a dull part of her life to say the least. She was interrupted by a flash of light and a letter falling onto the floor, she used her magic to pick up the letter and proceeded to read it despite the nobles whining against it. Dear Auntie Celestia King sombra has returned to the crystal empire and he will do something evil, please gather the girls. Your loving niece Mi Amore Cadenza Upon reading the letter Celestia closed day court and summoned a roll of parchment the noblity whined more before Celestia said in the royal canterlot voice, "A matter which requires my highest priority has appeared, day court dismissed!" She started writing in the parchment an urgent letter to Twilight Sparkle, Twilight Sparkle Bring the elements, this is a matter of national security, I will elaborate upon your arrival in Canterlot. HRH Princess Celestia Celestia sat in silence for a while with nothing but her thoughts to keep her company. Location: Crystal Mountains, border of Equestria Noble 6 awoke with a heavy migraine near the foot of a Mountain, he was wondering how he survived as the last thing he remembered was getting stabbed by the Elite zealot's energy dagger. Noble 6 slowly got up and looked around, he quickly realised that he was no longer in Asźod on reach, in fact he had no idea where he was, "This place certainly looks a lot different to Reach" he thought to himself. he saw lush trees so he decided that it would be safe to remove his mark V helmet, doing so he felt how cleaner the air felt to that of Reach, he kept his damaged helmet by his side as he didn't know if there were any hostile creatures on this planet and it would be better for the extra protection it could provide him. Noble 6 checked if he had his weapons to only find out that his MA37 Assault Rifle was missing, luckily for him he still had a M6G Magnum and the combat knife, however the magnum only had 3 rounds in it, "That's weird, I don't remember using the Magnum." Noble 6 picked a direction and began walking, he started to ascend the steep mountains, "hopefully there is civilisation on this planet otherwise I'm wasting my time," he muttered to himself, and so he continued walking, he got higher up the mountain, but then he heard his Noble teams leaders voice say "We've got a job to do, so let's stay focused and get it done. Six, are you in position?" he looked towards the way he came and saw a ghostly silhouette of Carter-A259, the ghostly figure eventually dissipated and Noble 6 continued on. Once Noble 6 got to the top of the mountain he looked over the landscape and towards the other jagged, snow-capped mountain peaks he could faintly make out a black strange horse like creature with glowing yellow eyes and translucent wings staring at him," am I going crazy? Have I seriously started to loose my mind out here?" Location: Canterlot Castle, Canterlot, Equestria Twilight and the Elements of Harmony rushed into the throne room "Princess Celestia we arrived as soon as we got your letter!" Twilight yelled, Princess Celestia was taken out of her thoughts and began to explaining the situation to the group, "King Sombra has returned and he's taken over the Crystal Empire, You must assist Captain Shining Armor and Princess Cadence, They are already waiting there for you and they will tell you what the plan will be" The elements of harmony whispered amongst themselves before Twilight replied, "We will not fail you princess!" //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch-2 His file reads M.I.A //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch-2 His file reads M.I.A Location: Crystal Mountains, Crystal Empire Noble 6 gazed with awe at the large structure that was visible in the distance, It clearly wasn't made by the Forerunners, the structure looked as if it were made of solid crystal, Noble 6 decided that he would investigate the crystal anomaly if it was not all in his head and so he started moving in its general direction, as he approached the structure the air got colder and the structure started to resemble a city made purely out of crystal. the closer he got to the city the more dark storm clouds appeared until snow started falling, upon reaching the city Noble 6 had a strange feeling about the city, "Something feels off about this place," he thought as he proceeded to put his helmet back on and drew the magnum he had by his side. "An interesting thing you are" a voice said from nowhere in particular, this voice was different to Noble 6, he didn't recognise it so instinctively Noble 6 scanned the area before a grey unicorn stallion appeared in front of him, The unicorn charged his horn and shot a beam of crystalline magic towards Noble 6, the magic beam hit Noble 6 dropping him onto his and froze him into a dark crystal before the crystal exploded. Noble 6 eventually heard a Feminine voice yell, "King Sombra you will not get away with this!" the voice belonged to pink alicorn and behind her was a group of 6 mares and a white unicorn stallion, the pink one ran towards Noble 6 and helped him get off his knees as the others ran after King Sombra,"Are you... ok?" the pink one asked eyeing him up and down, Noble 6 responded with a simple, "No time for greetings, lets get this son of a bitch." Location: Crystal City, Crystal Empire Noble 6 dashed towards the general direction that King Sombra and the others ran off to, there was only one thing going on in his head, revenge. Eventually Noble 6 did find King Sombra and the others, and luckily for 6, King Sombra was being distracted by the mane 6 and the white unicorn stallion. Noble 6 decided that he will not waste the last 3 rounds in his magnum so he took the opportunity to traditionally drop kick Sombra, King Sombra retaliated quickly by firing a blast of dark magic at Noble 6 which hit him and crystallised his lower arm, which 6 used as a weapon and slammed his crystallised arm down upon Sombra's face, the crystal shattering freeing 6's arm and breaking Sombra's nose. King Sombra tried to get back on his hooves but as soon as he did Noble 6 did an uppercut right into his jaw knocking him back onto the floor, Sombra tried to get back up but the beating he was receiving was tantalising. Sombra curled up into a ball and didn't even try to fight back anymore, it would be futile in the end if he did as his magic doesn't work against the metal ape creature so Sombra decided to flee the empire after his defeat. Location: Equestrian border, Crystal Mountains The ponies asked Noble 6 is he will go back to Canterlot with them to inform Princess Celestia of Sombras, he agreed as he did not know where else to go and a deserted city wasn't exactly a functioning civilisation, while the group were traveling towards the pony capital Noble 6 was stuck in thought as he remembered how the Stealth expert of Noble team just disappeared, he never knew if Jun-A266 made it off planet safely, he didn't dwell on the thought, he even didn't know if he was dead, "Is this real, am I even alive right now? I seen many aliens in my life but never have I seen taking ponies," he thought to himself as he walked along with the group. Princess Cadence tried to lighten the "anyway my name is Princess Mi Amore Cadenza or just Cadence for short, You never told me what your name is," Cadence suddenly said to break the awkward silence, he didn't even turn his head towards Cadence before he responded, "Noble 6 or 6 for short at your service." The group were still walking towards the general direction of the pony capital city before Cadence broke the silence once again by saying, "What are you anyway? I never seen anything like you before," Noble 6 thought for a moment of what his response would be, "I am Human, I am a Spartan which is basically a genetically modified super soldier for the UNSC" He responded to Cadences question, they continued walking towards a train which Noble 6 presumed that they used to get here. Location: Canterlot Castle, Canterlot, Equestria Noble 6 walked into the Large castle along with Cadence and the unicorn stallion who Noble 6 found out to be Cadence's husband who was named Shining Armor, The other 6 ponies got off in a small town not that far away from the capital city. Noble 6 also learnt that the pony capital city was named Canterlot, he found the name Canterlot, for a city was rather ironic, "If the capital city is called Canterlot I wonder what the other cities are called," he though to himself, the last thing he needed was having to fight the ponies because he made fun of the way they named things. "Well here we are," said Shining Armor gladly, he was exhausted after the restless 8 hours he got on the train back from the Crystal Empire, it also, was rather late, Noble 6 asked the two ponies for the time and Shining Armor responded with "It's 10:47 PM," Noble 6 also needed this information to manually set the Time Zone for his helmets HUD it would have done that automatically if his helmet wasn't damaged. "Greetings niece Cadence and Prince Armor, our sister is currently asleep and do tell us that the battle against King Sombra was a success?" a larger dark blue alicorn asked, the alicorn looked towards the two ponies before noticing Noble 6, "Ah yes and the Human that assisted them "We are Luna, Princess of the night, our niece has mentioned thou in her letter to us, and we wish to discuss details of what happened in the Crystal Empire however tis late now and we bet that thou have nowhere to stay," Luna said to Noble 6 as she wrote in a scrolls and sent it off with a flash, not long after a Pegasus maid approached Noble 6 before saying, "Sir let me lead you to the guest chambers," Noble 6 followed the maid until they reached the room and the maid opened the door and went back to doing whatever she was doing before hand. //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch-3 The key to our future lies in our past //-------------------------------------------------------// Ch-3 The key to our future lies in our past Location: Canterlot Castle, Canterlot, Equestria Noble 6 awoke in the guest room which he was given the day before, he didn't use the bed in the room, he just fell asleep against the room's double doors, he got on his feet and saw the sunlight beaming through the window, castle was built into the side of a mountain so he decided that he would look at the valley below. He got ready to leave his room until he heard a knock on the door as he approached it, Noble 6 opened the door and saw a large white alicorn figure about the same height as him standing right in front of him, "I am Princess Celestia, Princess of the sun and the sister to Princess Luna, Princess of the moon, my sister has told us that you had an encounter with King Sombra, and I would like to discuss that with you," Celestia told Noble 6. Noble 6 looked at the large alicorn before saying, "Sure come in, I'm willing to discuss the details of what happened with King Sombra," replied Noble 6. The duo sat at a table inside the room before Princess Celestia started talking, "So, I have been told that you single handily defeated King Sombra after he attacked you, It was also noticed that his magic did not affect you in any major way." Noble 6 listened to princess celestia as she talked, "and if you are willing to tell us, where are you from, because you clearly are not from Equestria and I am willing to give you Equestrian residency," Celestia questioned Noble 6, " From what I can remember, I am from Reach and I am fairly certain that it has been glassed into oblivion by an alien species known as the Covenant, and I do not even know if I am alive right now, or it might be the brain damage I might have making me think that I'm not alive," Noble 6 said to Princess Celestia. Celestia looked at Noble 6, "You are very much alive as you are in front of me right now are you not?" Celestia asked Noble 6. Location: Ponyville, Equestria Noble 6 was raiding the fridges in the royal kitchens, with the princesses permission of course, he also left his helmet in the room he was staying inside. Noble 6 noticed that there was a raw, uncooked steak in one of the fridges, Noble 6 decided that he would cook himself a Rib-eye Steak, after he cooked himself a scrumptious meal, Noble 6 went to the Castle dining room, he did end up telling the Princess his dietary requirements and he also told her that he was Omnivorous. He sat down with the princesses, which included Luna who was awake but looked very exhausted and looked as if she would pass out from exhaustion, Princess Celestia and Princess Cadence were eating a rather large apple crumble and what was rather strange for Noble 6 was that Luna was eating some sort of meat, Noble 6 did not expect to see a pony eating meat, "I didn't expect a pony to be eating meat," Said Noble 6, "We can eat meat but the common pony sees it as taboo and vile, We... I do have to say that I do eat meat occasionally," Luna replied. After Noble 6 finished eating Princess Celestia sent the spartan to Ponyville to help the mane 6 with some cursed abominations known as a Timberwolves which emerged from the Everfree forest. Noble 6 spent the last two hours sitting on the train on his way to Ponyville, the train slowly came to a stop and Noble 6 stumbled off the train, as Noble was getting off the train he was a group of roughly 3 wolves made from wood, "Giant wolves made from wood? What the actual fuck is wrong with this place?" Noble 6 thought to himself as he has never seen such abominations. Noble 6 was abruptly thrown against a tree by one of the wolves and pinned, but due to his genetic augmentation he reacted quickly by tearing out a large piece of wood and using it as a weapon against his attacker, he decided that it would not be a good idea to use his combat knife as that would probably dull the blade, making it less effective. The wolf that he attacked recoiled in pain, "how can a beast made from solid wood feel pain?" Noble 6 thought to himself before bashing it with the large piece of wood once again, this time the beast backed off dropping Noble 6 to the floor, he had to think of a more effective way to kill these things, "would tearing the wood that connect their heads to their body do the job?" he thought once again, he decided that it was worth trying. Noble 6 sprinted towards the Timber wolf that attacked him and struggled to climb on to his back with it trying to get him off, he climbed up towards the beasts neck he stopped as he heard a familiar voice say, "I'll do what's necessary, good luck," he didn't look away from the wood he was about to tear out but he recognised the voice, it was Jun's, "at least Jun survived" Noble 6 thought before be started slamming his fist against the log connecting the head to the rest of the body, once the log was destroyed the head fell separate from the body and the Timber Wolf that attacked him lie dead on the floor, he looked towards the mane 6 and noticed that they also managed to kill one of the Timber Wolves. They both focused their efforts on putting down the last Wolf, the last wolf was soon dead as it easier to kill than the other wolves as he had been helped by the mane 6 as they distracted the wolf as noble 6 did the same thing as he did to the last one. "I have never seen such beasts before," he said to the mane 6, "That's because they never wonder out the forest and it would be a good idea to investigate" said Twilight.
