Day 1View OnlineIncubation SicknessDay 1The video starts with a little jingle, a familiar tune for anyone who’s watched Skittishe’s videos before. The off-green teal unicorn mare is holding her gimbal stick, the camera mounted on the end allowing her to keep perfect focus on herself as she sits on the edge of the bed. She yaws and rubs her belly a little. “Good morning snookums.” Skittish coos to her belly, gently rubbing the visible bumps, though her voice is a little flat. “I can hardly wait for you to be born, you’re going to be an amazing foal.” She slowly stands up, wobbling a little as she rises from her bed and stretches with a groan. She brushes her maroon and cream-maroon hair out of her face as she finishes her stretches. The morning light warms her bedroom as she moves about her bed, making it somewhat presentable. Her steps are slow and heavy, and her actions are mixed with groans and the semi-frequent pauses to put her hand to her mouth. “Uhg, as much as I love this little guy or gal, the nausea is killer.” She says with a pained groan as she rubs her belly a little. “And the cravings are crazy, I get the weird-” She cuts herself off by putting her hand over her mouth, visibly going paler and taking a few wobbling steps towards the bathroom. Despite her efforts to reach the bathroom, her body shudders visibly and she drops her camera stick, the camera landing on its side a few feet away from her as she loses the battle with her body and expels a wave of viscus, glowing muck all over the floor. As another wave of nausea hits her she collapses to her knees before expelling a second wave of the muck, making the puddle in front of her grow. Chunks of last night’s dinner mix with other bits that glow brightly. A third, if significantly smaller wave joins the rest of the puddle as her body begins to calm down. She continues to dry heave for a minute more, before she’s able to get herself back under control. With a sigh she gets up and picks up her gimbal stick. “Sorry about that, the morning sickness is really getting to me too.” Skittish says as she steps around the puddle and into the bathroom. The video fades to black for a moment before coming back up as she makes her way out of the bathroom. “I really need to get me some breakfast, especially after all of that.” She gestures to the puddle of muck on the floor as she steps around it and heads out of her room. It’s a short walk down a hall to the kitchen, where big bay windows let a good amount of warm sunlight in. “Being pregnant really messes with your body. The cravings for the oddest combos are weird. Like fried pickles and ice cream.” “But! It’s all worth it in the end.” She gives the camera a big dopey grin as fake as fool's gold. “Now what to eat…” She opens up the refrigerator and starts looking through all of the things she has. There’s a good stock of vegetables, everything from onions to tomatoes, as well as a stock of fruits, most notably a pair of large apples. There are also some chicken eggs, cheese, sour cream and guacamole.She sits there biting her lip as she looks at the stuff she has to work with. “I really shouldn’t, but I really want an omelet.” Skittish says as she pulls out the eggs, an onion, tomato, cheese, milk and sour cream. With all of the ingredients she needs to make her breakfast she heads over to the stove and gets the pan heating. She hums a lullaby as she works, pausing to rub her tummy every few minutes, making silly cooing noises and singing nonsensical rhymes as she works. “All you gotta do is take a couple eggs, add in some milk and whisk.” She says as she slowly mixes the eggs. “The trick for fluffy eggs is to mix well, but with how good you are at churning my stomach I’m sure you’ll be a master chef.” She sets the camera down on the counter as she starts working on the rest of the stuff for the omelet. Shredding the cheese, cutting up the onion and tomato, heating and buttering the pan. Every step is a little slow but after a little bit she has her omelet cooking. The cheese melts nicely over top of the tomato cubes and diced onion. She adds the sour cream, folds it, flips it and plates it with a happy sigh. “A perfect looking omelet, to feed my perfect little foal.” Skittish rubs her belly as she grabs a fork, her plate, and the camera before making her way out to her patio. The morning sun shines down on her, warming her despite the cool breeze blowing through the area. Birds chirp in the nearby trees and the sounds of other ponies heading out to enjoy the day occasionally reach her. All of that brings a smile to her face as she starts to eat. “This omelet is amazing!” She exclaims with a bright smile, perhaps the most genuine smile all day. “I don’t care if I get nauseous later, this is so worth it.” She collapses the gimbal stick so she can show off the omelet, the cheese and sour cream oozing out of it with bits of onion and tomato in the mix. By all accounts the omelet looks perfect, but, given her other series where she tries out interesting recipes from other races, it’s not too surprising. She sits out there in the sun, the peaceful breeze blowing through ruffling her mane a little as she finishes up her omelet. When she’s done she heads back into her house, cleaning up from cooking while humming a pleasant tune. It doesn’t take her too long to finish cleaning up and putting things away. When she’s done she heads over to her couch and takes a seat. “Whew, everything takes a lot more out of you when you have a little foal growing inside of you.” Skittish says as she leans back with a sigh. Skittish sits there, laying back against the couch for a few minutes, half dozing before she bolts up and puts a hand to her mouth. She struggles to try and stand only to collapse to her knees and begin vomiting up her breakfast. The first wave is a bit chunky, bits of egg, tomato and onion, lace the glowing mush that splatters all over the floor in front of her. A second wave is filled with glowing chunks and a little more of her undigested breakfast, and it makes the puddle grow significantly bigger. A third, mostly watery, wave of puke is added to the puddle as the majority of the food in her stomach is exhausted. She still coughs, splutters and spits up little bits of mucky mucus as she holds herself over the glowing pile of bile. Eventually her stomach calms down enough for her to stand up and go to the kitchen and rinse out her mouth, coming back a couple of minutes later to pick up her camera. “Uhgh, I regret my choice of breakfast now. I’m going to clean this up and take a nap.” Skittish says as she carries the camera with her to a supply closet. Inside the closet is a steam cleaner which she pulls out and brings with her to the kitchen. She hums a little tune as she fills up its reservoir. “With how bad my morning sickness has been I’m very glad I decided to invest in this steam cleaner, it makes cleaning up the mess a lot easier.” With the steam cleaner ready to go, Skittish heads to the living room and begins cleaning up the mess. It’s a slow process, cleaning up the puddle of glowing gunk, but the steam cleaner does a good job. By the time she’s done there’s not a trace of the mess left behind. With the first mess cleaned up, she drags the machine to her bedroom and begins to clean up the mess there as well. This one is tougher, since it had time to seep into the carpet, but with a bit of diligence, and turning the steam cleaner to max, she’s able to clean it up. With her messes cleaned up, and the steam cleaner put away she makes her way back to the couch where she gently flops down and brings the camera close. “I’m going to sign off for now and get a much needed nap, not sure I’ll record any more today, but if I don’t then we’ll see you tomorrow.” She sets the camera off to the side giving it a blow kiss before she stretches out a bit and closes her eyes, and with that the screen fades to black.
Day 4View OnlineIncubation SicknessDay 4A happy and familiar jingle plays as the video fades in; Skittish is standing in the kitchen preparing a snack, humming happily to herself. Her eyes have a slight glow to them as she works, one hand gently rubbing her belly every now and again. “Hey everypony, I hope your day has been as good as ours.” Skittish turns to look at the camera and gives a big smile, far more genuine than the ones she gave earlier in the week. “The little one’s been really hungry, even though it’s hard to keep food down.” She finishes cutting up the apples she’s working on and begins to cut up some cheese into cubes. Once she has both of them ready she sets them on a plate with a couple of crackers and some nuts. She cleans up and then carries the snack plate and the camera out to the living room. “No matter how much trouble they’ve given me, I wouldn’t give this up for the world.” Skittish says as she lays down on the couch, stretching out a bit before taking a bite out of a slice of apple. She lazes there on the couch, rubbing her belly and slowly munching on the pieces of apple. She hums a happy tune with a really dopey smile. She grabs a magazine from a small table next to the couch, the Canterlot Mother’s Fashion Magazine, which she cracks open and begins to read as she works on eating the snack plate. She flips through the magazine a bit, before she shows off a page with a rather nice maternity dress on it. “I bet I would look dashing in this dress, I almost want to buy it but it’s way too expensive.” Skittish says as she flips the page. “But the wonderful little set of foals clothes that look just like it would be perfect for my little bundle of joy.” She continues to eat her snack and flip through the magazine, she shows off a couple of different foal’s outfits before eventually setting down the magazine and carrying her plate to the kitchen. She hums a tune as she cleans up the kitchen from her snack, her hands doing most of the work with her magic moving the plate and cutting board around as she finishes cleaning up. “I think a walk might do us some good, get a little sunshine and fresh air.”Skittish says as she walks out of the kitchen and to her bedroom. As she’s getting ready for her walk her stomach gurgles audibly and she wobbles a little. She tries to shake it off, grabbing her coat and tossing it on, but the gurgling continues as she heads towards the door. She makes it about half-way there before her hand shoots up to her mouth and she makes a mad dash towards her bathroom. Despite her mad dash towards the bathroom she can’t contain it and ends up spewing her snack all over the floor in front of her. The first wave is full of bits of her snack, the chunks of apple are the most visible among the glowing green muck. Another wave splatters the floor bringing more of the glowing muck and chunks of the usual glowing mess that she spews. She wobbles a bit as a third wave joins the mess, a bit watery and slushy but no less glowy. After a fourth little blast, Skittish dry heaves for a bit, struggling to stay standing, and managing to do so thanks to her firm grip on the wall. When her heaving finally subsides she takes a few deep breaths and walks back to the kitchen, getting herself a glass of water to wash out her mouth. She does a few rinses before she grabs a clean glass and begins downing a good amount of water. Three large glasses of water later and she stumbles her way back over to her couch, gently flopping down on it and taking a few deep breaths. Those deep breaths quickly turn into very slow and deep breaths as she passes out, the video fades to black shortly after. The video fades back in shortly, though by the sunlight it’s clearly several hours later. Skittish slowly stirs and sits up, putting a hand to her head as she groans. She looks around and quickly grabs the camera. “Sorry about that everypony, I didn’t mean to pass out after that, it was just kind of exhausting.” Skittish stands up and stretches a bit before walking over to her supply closet from which she retrieves her steamer, getting it filled up and ready as she talks. “Growing a kid is really taxing, so much more than a lot of ponies think. Even first time mothers aren’t prepared for how exhausting it is. Especially when the insomnia hits.” Skittish drags the steam cleaner over to the mess and gets to work as she continues to talk. “But, even with all that it’s so worth it to see the little bundle of joy you’ve brought into the world. There is nothing like it, holding something that is so much of you, yet also so different.” It takes Skittish a bit to fully clean up the mess, including the parts of the wall that got splattered from the projectile nature of her morning sickness. “In the end it’s always worth it, and holding them in your arms… there’s nothing like it. A connection that can’t be described.” “I… think I’m going to call it a day here.” Skittish says as she drags the steam cleaner back to the closet. “I wasn’t kidding about that insomnia, it’s been hitting me really hard.” Skittish waves to the camera as she sets it down on the small table next to the couch, which she lays down on and wraps herself in a warm blanket. With a bit of magic she turns on the radio she has in the corner and turns off the camera.
Day 7View OnlineIncubation SicknessDay 7The video quickly fades in to show Skittish rubbing her eyes groggily as she stands up from her bed. Her belly looks really swollen as she stretches and groans. When she finishes stretching she brings her hands to her belly and gently rubs herself while letting out a happy coo. A big—dopey—smile plasters her face as she looks towards the camera. “Morning everypony, I hope you all had a good night. We certainly did.” She says as she walks over to the camera and picks it up, attaching it to her gimbal. “After a couple of sleepless nights, we finally got a full night’s sleep and it’s the most wonderful feeling.” There’s a faint, but decisively noticeable glow to her eyes as she walks to the bathroom to clean up a little before breakfast. Even with the camera pointed away from the shower, her happy humming and cooing is perfectly audible. Eventually she even starts to sing a little lullaby as she finishes up getting cleaned up. When the camera moves again she’s dressed in a simple but beautiful maternity dress that she picked up the day before. She gives a little twirl before fixing up her hair and heading out to the kitchen. “I’ve been having to eat so much more to keep up with the little one’s demands.” Skittish says as she sets the camera on the counter and takes out a pot. “And the usual things just aren’t cutting it.” She fills the pot with water and sets the stove to high to get it boiling as she pulls out a bag of oats. She snags a salt shaker from the counter as she passes and adds a little to the water on her way to her fridge. From the fridge she retrieves milk, two apples, celery, carrots, kale, an orange, a banana, fresh peppermint and yogurt. The ingredients float along with her to the counter where she pulls out a blender. “I’m hoping a good smoothie and oatmeal will stay in my stomach.” Skittish says as she starts chopping up the apple. “Alkaline foods are supposed to be good for dealing with morning sickness.” She slowly chops up the apples, celery, carrots, kale and banana, putting each of them into the blender when she’s done. At that point the water is boiling, and she has to pause to go add the oats to the water, slowly stirring them in as she hums a happy tune. “Mmm~ This oatmeal will be so satisfying. I’ve been wanting something hearty to keep my little bundle of joy happy.” Her speech is a little slow as she talks about her bundle of joy, the glow in her eyes becoming a little more pronounced as she lowers the heat and lets the oats cook. When she returns to the smoothie she’s working on she goes even slower, rubbing her belly and happily sighing every couple minutes. Eventually she finishes peeling both the banana and the orange and adds them to the blender. She tops it off with the yogurt and the mint leaves before starting the blender. The mix of fruits and veggies slowly turns into a somewhat thick smoothie that looks absolutely delicious, and becomes more so when she turns off the blender for a moment to add some honey to it. With her smoothie ready she turns her attention to the stove where she stirs the oatmeal gently, checking to make sure that it’s reached the right consistency. Once she’s sure that it’s ready she dishes up a big bowl of the oatmeal, adding milk, brown sugar and raisins, mixing them in to make a wonderful smelling breakfast. She takes a quick bite to make sure she has enough sugar and milk in it, humming happily in delight at the sweetness that she tastes. “This is perfect! And it’s perfect for the little one.” Skittish says as she grabs a glass with her magic, carrying it, the oatmeal and the blender’s pitcher with her out to her patio. “And it’s another perfect day to sit outside.” “I love sitting out here.” Skittish says between bites of her oatmeal. “It’s so peaceful and calm. The perfect kind of environment for my little bundle of joy.” Skittish pauses in eating her oatmeal to pour herself a glass of her smoothie and take a big sip. “Wow, this is even better than I thought. Must be just what you want huh?” She rubs her belly with a loving coo, she hums a happy tune pausing here and there to work on her oatmeal and her smoothie. Her humming eventually becomes full on singing, perhaps not the best, but it’s a very primal and love filled song. She pauses between verses to eat more oatmeal or drink her smoothie. Occasionally somepony passing by will hear her singing and join in, the harmony magic giving them a little connection that makes the glow in her eyes grow brighter. Her slow meal comes to an end after a good while. Her bowl of oatmeal is completely empty, and the blender’s pitcher is as emptied as you can get it without using a spatula to scoop it out. Skittish rests there with her head propped up with one hand while the other rubs her belly. Her eyes are unfocused as she stares off into oblivion, humming a gentle tune. The wind eventually picks up enough to make her shiver a little. Skittish heads back inside, spending some time cleaning up the kitchen. Her motions are slow and dopey, and the smile plastered on her face is kind of loopy too. Eventually she finishes cleaning up and makes her way to her bedroom to take a nap where the video fades to black. A few seconds later the video fades back in with her slowly getting up from the bed and stretching with a big yawn. “I really needed that.” Skittish says as she grabs the camera and makes her way to the bathroom. As she reaches for her brush her whole body shakes a little and she groans, putting a hand to her mouth. She stands there for a minute holding herself still waiting to see if her body is going to try and throw up. Eventually she pulls her hand away from her mouth and sighs, “Wheh, got lucky with that one.” She turns and takes a single step before her body violently shakes again and this time she can’t stop it. She wobbles a little as she plasters the back wall of her bathtub with glowing muck. The next burst is much larger, containing a lot of glowing chunks mixed in amongst the vile mixture of her breakfast and bile, which splatters into the tub as she bends over and grips the edge. A third putrid volley of vomit is quick to join the first two, its contents glowing far brighter than the rest and resembling changeling pazara, the goop that changelings use for making things. Another wave of the putrid pazara quickly joins the rest of the muck as she collapses to her knees, her head hanging over the edge of the tub. She gasps and pants for a couple of moments before depositing a final—very watery—wave of vomit into the mess. Her whole body shakes as she spits as much as she can to get the taste out of her mouth. When she finally stops she just stays there, kneeling with her head over the edge of the tub for a couple of minutes as she recovers. “Uhg, guess that smoothie might have been a bit too much, huh, sweetie?” She eventually says as she stands back up, her hand rubbing her belly. “You sure do take a lot out of me, but you’re worth it.” Her eyes glow a little brighter as she stumbles a little while walking over to the sink. Turning on the tap she rinses her mouth out and has a little sip of water before turning it off and moving back to the tub. With practiced motion she turns on the tub and begins washing the vomit down the drain. It takes her a bit to clean it all out but by the time she’s done her tub is spick and span. She slowly turns off the water and makes her way out to the kitchen where she grabs a carton of apple juice and makes her way to the couch. “Foals are exhausting.” She says flopping gently down on the couch and sipping from the carton of juice. “But that’s okay, I love you all the same.” She rubs her belly gently as she sips the juice, relaxing and resting after the stress of her morning sickness. The sun shines in through her windows bathing her in a warm light that makes her practically glow. As she looks out the window she smiles, “It’s these moments that really make this worth all the suffering and sickness. Being here with you, peacefully resting and being happy.” The video slowly fades to black as she sets down the carton of juice and lays back slowly falling asleep.
