"Places, please!" shouted a voice.
Many people were moving about. Set pieces were moved and transported, and lights were turned on and adjusted as the sound crew ensured all the microphones worked.
"Just about ready, sir," said the assistant director.
"Great. Where are the actors?" asked the man as he sat in his chair.
"Just about done with hair and makeup."
"Good. Juniper!" addressed the man as he snapped his fingers.
"Yes, sir."

"Do you have my coffee?"
"Right here, sir," said the girl as she presented the director with his drink.

The girl took a seat on a stool in front of the buffer. The boy who had asked the question was shown cleaning out some glasses and plates with a towel.
