Scootaloo helped out where she could, and Rob was always doing his best to save people from these mysterious Hives.

However, during this process, there were a few times where she and Rob went up against the princess of The Hives Veronica.

Time and time again, they fought, and now it was leading to this showdown on an old bridge.

"So, it seems this is where our battles have led us, human." Veronica said.

"...So they have." Rob said. "I just have one quick thing to state before we start this." He added.

"Tch. Typical. You always have something to say. The time for talk is over human." Veronica said as she charged forward but Rob dodged her easily.

"You didn't let me finish. I pity your planet. They didn't have someone like me there. Because if it did, what happened to your planet wouldn't have happened at all." Rob said.

"Oh not this again. Your just all talk human." Veronica said before turning around and heading for Rob again who dodged again.

"I'm serious. I'm a Justice Hero. If your planet had one, you wouldn't have ended up like that. Because a real justice hero would've prevented that." Rob said.

"Shut up shut up shut u--" Veronica said, but then as she was charging at Rob a third time, suddenly she veered off the side of the bridge.

"Veronica!" Rob yelled out before he fired his grapple and started pulling Veronica to safety.

"Huh? What the..." Veronic was confused. "Why? Why are you saving me? We're enemies." She wondered.

"We may be enemies Veronica...but a real justice hero doesn't discriminate." Rob said. He was having some trouble helping Veronica up, so Scootaloo helped him.

"I will admit, I don't know much about this Justice Hero thing myself. But I will say this: Rob's here to make sure that this planet doesn't try something that could end with what happened to your planet." Scootaloo said. "This planet has Rob to make sure that the other humans don't play god." She added.

Veronica was helped to safety. "What do you mean by playing god?" She asked.

"Isn't that just what the humans of your world were doing when they were created cyborg animals?" Rob said, helping Veronica get off the bridge before it snapped. "Phew, thank goodness I had the forsight of getting you off of there." Rob said.

Veronica pondered Rob's question for a few moments. "...I guess my mother must've not thought of it like that." Veronica said.

"Your mother wants to kill off all humans right? But I'm here to make sure that this planet doesn't end up the same way as yours." Rob said. "But I have to know: Whose choice was it to invade this planet to begin with?" He asked.

"That was my mother's. She's the queen. She said she chose to start here because of how similar our two planets are to each other." Veronica said.

"Then that fits the last piece of the puzzle that I've been trying to figure out from everything you've told me about your kind. How you became the way you are now. How your world suffered because the humans of your world decided to play god." Rob said. "Everything about this is clear to me now: Your mother has stepped out of her boundaries simply because she's become blinded by her own rage." He added.

"Good luck getting through to her." Veronica said.

"I'm not the one whose going to stop her." Rob said before heading off with Scootaloo following.

Rob and Scootaloo arrived at the hive's mothership. "So, you've finally come for your friends. Don't worry. Their alive. For now." The large cyborg bug said. "But fight, and my soldiers will kill them off. Slowly." She said.

"Your nuts you know that?" Scootaloo asked.

"Child, it's still not too late to consider joining our mission." The Hive Queen said.

"Yeah too bad I'm still saying no. Because I'm willing to bet this goes beyond just wanting to kill of the human race of every planet you come across." Scootaloo said.

"HOW DARE YOU?!" The Hive Queen said.

"...Wait, Scootaloo you may be onto something there. Spill it: You want complete control over this planet so you can enslave it's animals to your cause after you've elimated the humans on it." Rob said.

"Wait what?! How did you--" The Hive Queen said.

"Looks like I just hit the nail on the head." Rob said said.

"Hmph. Doesn't matter. I am the queen of the hives. And they will obey their queen." The Hive Queen said.

"Not anymore." Veronica suddenly said, as she suddenly appeared with the rest of the earth's main defense force.

"What?! Veronica, how dare you turn against me?!" The Hive Queen exclaimed.

"Bet you didn't know that your words were just convayed through your hive mind. After all, thanks to Veronica, I know that you used to be anthromophic bees. Meaning that if I got you to confess to your true motives, that would be passed through the Hive Mind." Rob said.

"Now that...was actually clever." General Hightop said.

"You...YOU'VE RUINED IT! YOU'VE RUINED EVERYTHING!" The Hive Queen said.

"No mother. You have!" Veronica said before she pushed her own mother out of the mothership.

"YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS CHILD. YOU'LL PAAAAAAAAAAAAY!" The Hive Queen shouted as she fell.

"Good luck collecting on that front." Rob said.

"Really? A one liner? Now?" Expert said.

"As the new queen of The Hives...I just want to apologize. My mother seemingly just became so power-hungry and no one really saw it." Veronica said. "But...I can see that you have someone that will prevent something like what happened to us from ever happening again." She added.

"Yeah. I didn't exist when your planet became the way it did. But I promise you, I will make sure any future attempts to play god are not ignored." Rob said.

"I have no doubt you will keep that promise." Veronica said. "For now, the Hives must go back home, and search for a way to return our planet back to normalcy somehow." She added. "But the next time any of us come here, it shall be as friends. Not foes." The new queen said.

"If you ever need any help; for whatever reason; just come find me." Rob said.

"I will make sure I do." Veronica said.

The Hives had been kind enough to drop everyone back at the UNA HQ.

"Okay, even I'll admit, the fact you used Veronica's Mother's Hive Mind against her like that was clever." General Hightop said.

"Hey, it's what I do." Rob said. "Just because I have powers, doesn't meant I need to use them to save the day all the time." He said.

"Heh. Yeah you've certainly proved that this time around." General Hightop said.

"Whoa what the heck?!" One of the UNA Soldiers exclaimed in shock.

There, in the doorway, was Lateria. Only...she was now made of latex that constantly dripped off her. "Please...help me..." She said.

Author's Note

I'm just going to say that this arc is full of small little mini-arcs like this all around. Originally, I entilted this arc as being "Three Tales" since this arc was essentially three mini-arcs slapped together with some minor plot threads linking them all together. However, seeing that these mini-arcs end the way they do, I decided to rebrand the arc for this story into "JHF Foundation" which should give you a clue as to what the ending of this arc will be.

That being said, I'm sure that even if you can already guess what the ending is for this arc, sometimes even knowing that can still allow you to enjoy this arc because of the content leading up to what will inevitably happen at the end.

Also, that ending is the reason why the chapter where Lateria fell into that latex tank didn't have the death warning on it even though this one did because of Veronica's mother being killed via a long fall.
