Justice Hero Scootaloo
Beyond Earth Era: Saving a Friend - Pieces
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAs the duo stepped through the portal, time resumed in the present day as Veronica began to glow a bright white. "Wh-what just happened." Expert said. "I have no explination for what just happened."
"Error. Time travel effects currently effecting software. Need time to reboot software." Deca said before she started rebooting.
"Why do I feel stiff?" General Hightop asked.
"It occurs to me, that there may have been a few side effects to the use of the time stones to create that time rift." Dr. Krono said. "I honestly should've expected this to happen. These are the time stones we are talking about."
"Wait, what's happening with Veronica?" Patra asked. Soon, Veronica stopped glowing. She was no longer a cyborg in the present day, and looked as if she was an older version of her past self.
"Facinating. It looks like history was successfully changed and nothing seems worse for wear." Expert said. "It seems the time stones are not to be underestimated."
"I'll probably try to avoid using them like that again. Too many changes to the past might cause some irrerrable damage." Rob said.
"Ugh...whoa. Trippy." Veornica said. "I've got two different sets of memories now. Is that wierd?" She asked.
"Guessing it's part of the side effects of using the Time Stones to correct history." General Hightop said.
"No doubt there." Dr. Krono said.
"Still...I can't believe it...my mother..." Veronica said.
"Yeah. So, big surprise: It turns out the one we saw Veronica push out of the Hive UFO from their little invasion was not really Veronica's mother." Scootaloo said.
"...I need a full report on what happened, stat." General Hightop said.
After a long period of explaining, General HIghtop sighed. "This...this is some shocking news to listen to." He said.
"Sometimes, the truth can be stranger then fiction. And that could never be more true then right now." Rob said.
"As much as I hate to admit it, you are right. This truth is stranger then the theories I had brewing." General Hightop said.
"But, what should we do with this information? Surely, we are the only ones aware of the real truth, considering the Time Stone's must've changed the memories of everyone who was not witness to the Time Portal." Aaron said.
General Hightop looked deep in thought. "...We keep this under wraps. Even from the big wigs in the UNA. This sort of power is something that we should keep a lid on. I will not allow these stones to be used for greedy purposes." General Hightop said.
"Perhaps that's for the best. We don't want the UNA to start breathing for further changes to history. No matter if there are some things in history we would prefer were changed." Expert said.
"Your thinking about the Holocost aren't you? Yeah, no doubt the UNA would want that whole thing flushed down the drain." General Hightop said.
"Erasing anything from World War 2 would cause the UNA to stop existing. So if they do find out, try telling them that. I'm sure that would shut them up in a hurry." Rob said.
"Hmph. For a Justice Hero, you can be quite devilish at times." General HIghtop said.
"I'm only saying the truth here." Rob said. "Messing with anything world war 2 related would stop the UNA from existing if you really think about it."
"That's a fair point I suppose." General Hightop said.
Back outside, soon Veronica came out of the UFO which was now much more organic and Bee themed then before with the parts of the android that Rob destroyed. "Here. I'm not excactly sure what I'd do with these, but I'd recommend keeping these in a place where the android can never be reactivated." Veronica said.
"I'll make sure to keep them under lock and key. Simply trashing them will not work." Rob said.
"Well, this has been a decent experience. Still, I better go get started on my six months." Patra said.
"I'll come visit you as soon as I have a free moment after six months, Patra." Rob said.
"I'll be waiting for you, Rob." Patra said. And then she left.
"Well, I've got to get back home myself. So I'll see you all later. Next time, I'll definatly be coming for a social call." Veronica said.
"I'm sure you can convince the other species to think about providing the JHF with some assistance when needed." Rob said.
"That won't be an issue. I think this new cobolaration between our earths will do wonders in the future." Veronica said. She then left herself.
"So, are you heading back Dr. Krono?" Scootaloo asked.
"Nah. I've got some free time. Besides, I owe Rob a debt I can never hope to repay. And not just because he saved my life." Dr. Krono said. "Plus, I have to start thinking of getting a mate of my own. And I'd like some time away from the Chao for that."
"Aren't Chaos Chao unable to breed though?" Rob asked.
"Maybe, but being the only intelligent chao...it can get lonely. Besides, I'll be making sure I do it ethically and with consent." Dr. Krono said. "I'm still a scientist after all." He added.
"Hey, your the Chao Researcher. You could easily just say you want to see what giving a chao intelligence will be like to see if that can further the species." Scootaloo said.
"Going to pass on that. I have zero idea on how a colony of sapient chao like myself would even function. So, I won't go there. Too many unknowns." Dr. Krono said.
"He has a point you know." General Hightop said.
"Thank you General." Dr. Krono said. "In the meantime while I sort things out, I'll be aviable for anything the JHF or UNA needs. Especially if that Dalfino pops up again."
"You know, I haven't heard from him for a while now. I did send Shadow Rob off to investage some wierd dark readings at Thunder Isles though. The Protection Spear's readings was sending me a warning signal that darkness was heading to Thunder Isles." Rob said. "Shadow Rob hasn't reported back yet though. And that was two days ago."
"In that case, I wouldn't mind visiting home. Scootaloo, want to come with me?" Zapper asked.
Scootaloo smiled. "Yeah, I could use the detox." She said.
Little did anyone know, that things were about to get chaotic.
