"But that doesn't make any sense at all!" Expert said. "I'll have to create something that will let Deca sense what Scootaloo sensed. I'll be in my lab if anyone needs me." He added before leaving.
We were all back at the JHF HQ. "Should we bother him?" Aaron asked.
"Doubt we should. But it does get me wondering about that dragon I know Scootaloo and Zapper saw same as me." Rob said.
"I can't really explain why I saw what I saw." I said.
"I was detecting a strange magic affecting my power scale level readings; something was preventing me from getting an accurate fix on Dalfino's Power Level." Deca said.
"So, the plot thickens." Rob said.
"Maybe someone here can talk some sense into the Thunder Lord into letting me back on the isles." Zapper said. "I mean, where exactly am I going to go?" He asked.
"I'm not making a promise I'm unsure if I can keep, but we can at least attempt that." Rob said.
"You sure you want to do that for him?" Aaron asked.
"Better he's back with his people." Rob said.
"...Why is that such a good point?" General Hightop asked.
"Because it is. I'll go with to provide extra coverage just in case the Thunder Lord tries to outright fry Zapper. He's already being punished enough sir." Aaron said.
"Fair enough." General Hightop said.
"I'll maintain contact with Expert, on the off chance we run into something big." Deca said. "And also the building as a whole."
"Then I'll stay here and monitor the communications." Jester said.
"Let's do this." Rob said but then Crusader limped into the room. "Whoa, who did this to you?"
"You've...got to come help...thunder isles...Delinquient...Delinqueint has..." Crusader got out before he passed out.
"...Delinquient?!" Rob exclaimed.
"But that's impossible! How'd he manage to upstate the Thunder Lord?!" Zapper exclaimed.
"...Looks like this diplomacy mission just turned into a rescue mission." Rob said.
"Your telling me the Speedster can't go to Thunder Isles?!" Aaron exclaimed as the Speedster was touching down near the Great Basin.
"Thunder Isles may exist in the cloud layer of earth, but it exists on a frequency none of your technology can ever touch." Zapper said.
"Also, General Hightop, as soon as we are done here, I want you to make sure this location of the Thunder Isles Portal stays off the UNA record. The Thunder Lord has made it clear that the portal's existence is too dangerous for the UNA to know about." Rob said over his transmission device. "I may trust you and Aaron both, but..."
"No buts. I understand his concern. I'll make sure I make no mention of where the Thunder Isles Portal Location is in my official report to the UNA council." General Hightops said.
"Thankfully for us, the portal seems to still be functional." I said.
"This is going to be difficult." Zapper said.
"How's Crusader?" Rob asked.
"Recovering. He did say to be careful. A dragon seems to be on Delinquient's side." Jester said.
"Maybe it was the same one we saw flying away from Dalfino's lair, with no doubt Dalfino on it's back." Zapper said.
"It?" Aaron quesiton.
"We don't know that dragon's gender. For all we know, that dragon could be a female one." Zapper said.
"...It was male. I don't know how I could tell, but it was male." I said.
"That's interesting actually, Crusader said he was attacked by a male dragon specifically." Jester said.
"Perhaps some species from a planet have come here." General Hightop said. "After all, to most earthlings, dragons are just a myth."
"Still, what are the odds?" I asked.
"...Too unlikely to just be a random coincidence." Rob said. "In we go."
On the other side, the group saw nothing but black glossy islands and the tower part linked to some kind of strange mini-castle.
"So...is this how Thunder Isles is supposed to look?" Aaron asked.
"No...something is very wrong here..." Rob said.
"This is not how Thunder Isles is supposed to look." Zapper said.
"Focus everyone. Let's check out that mini-castle." Rob said.
"You sure we should do that?" Aaron asked.
"What choice do we have?" I asked.
"...Fair point." Aaron said but then suddenly Gorzon appeared.
"Are you enjoying your time here, mortals?" Gorzon asked. "Because you should think twice before attempting to battle me out in the open like this."
"Oh yeah? And give me one good reason--" Rob began.
"Uh...guys..." Zapper said, noticing a statue of a person.
"...Wait...why is there a statue of the portal keeper here?" I asked.
"That isn't a simple statue...is it?" Rob asked.
"Good. You've already figured it out." Gorzon said.
"What you mean Rob?" Aaron asked.
"I mean that that statue is still a living innocent person. And I'm willing to bet each and every statue we see, is the residents turned to stone by whatever sorcery did all of this to begin with." Rob said.
"As much as I'd love to take credit for this...this is not my work. But, I'm more then willing to make sure you can't undo this in exchange for an oppertunity for revenge." Gorzon said. "And since you can't fight back, that puts me at an advantage."
"You say that like you expect to be fighting us at all." Rob said before going up to Grozon and blasting him at point blank range.
"Rob! What was that for?!" Aaron exclaimed.
"Trust me, Gorzon's already survived worse then a thousand mile drop." Rob said. The shape shifter turned into a hawk and flew off. "...Plus, he's a shapeshifter, so he can also just do that."
"...You knew that he'd do that the whole time, didn't you?" Aaron asekd.
"Something like that. But I was actually hoping he'd turn into a Dragon. But since he defaulted to a hawk on pure instinct...that means our dragon can only be in one location: The mini-castle." Rob said.
