Justice Hero Scootaloo
The Beginning Era: The Dark Core - A Hero's Sacrifice (Contains Death)
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"So, where exactly are we heading first?" Scootaloo asked, as the entire group followed Shadow Rob.
"There's a factory not to far from where the UNA USA branch office is located. We're heading there first since it's the closest." Shadow Rob said and led the way to a factory.
"How'd we miss this thing?" Aaron asked.
"Hmph. You wouldn't think this factory was a front for the Dark Tribe because it's also a toy factory. The Dark Master is clever like that." Shadow Rob said.
"I'm starting to understand how someone like that could get so many to turn like that. Regardless, his weapon must be destroyed. Then the UNA can arrest the dark tribe members outside of the Dark Admins. Without a cult, that Dark Master's title is worthless." Aaron said.
"...Not a bad idea..." The lieutenant's voice came over the radio as he stayed behind with Expert.
"Why do I have a sinking feeling it's not going to be that easy?" Expert's voice came over a device Zapper was carrying.
"We can worry about that if it comes up." Zapper said. "Let's head on inside." He added.
The group headed inside, seeing several humans knocked unconscious; some even tied up with grapple cable. "...This grapple cable is reinforced with Titanium. The Octograpple did this." Crusader said.
"Wow. For an old man, he sure managed to figure this place out." Zapper admitted.
"The UNA has heard a few tales of the aging Vigilante. Including a rumor that he helped deal with a demon called Grand Train." The Lieutenant said over the radio.
"Actually that's not a rumor that's a fact: I was there to help him finish that demon off." Crusader said. "I honestly thought the tales of that man being able to deal with supernatural threats with just his grappling devices and peak human strength were just fantasy until I bore witness to the hero's strength first hand." He explained.
"Didn't that guy go through some intense training to gain such strength?" Aaron asked.
"That's what I heard, and I believe it." Crusader said. The group headed in deeper to the factory, soon hearing clashing. When they got to the source, they saw an old man dealing with a strange human whose very presence reaked of darkness.
"It seems your old age hasn't slowed you down one bit Octograpple." The strange human said.
"I may be old, but I'm not so old I can't seal you up again, Gorzon. What are you doing here and how on earth did you break your seal?" The old man; most certainly Octograpple; said. If the fact that he was very old didn't give it away, those grapple devices on his arms certainly did.
"Hmm...let's just say a certain monster released me, not realizing what I was. It's funny, the Dark Master is the one who released me, you know. As if you didn't already have enough reason to have turned on him." The other human said.
"What? Octograpple, what's he talking about?" Crusader asked.
"! Crusader! You shouldn't be here right now." Octograpple said.
"...Oh? You reak of the Crusade Tribe. Heh...guess one must have been away or something when the entire tribe was subjected to genocide." The strange human said.
Crusader drew his sword and the mysterious human. "Genocide? What do you know about my tribe's genocide?" Crusader asked.
"Stop! You don't know who this is." Octograpple said.
"Then fill us in." Aaron said.
"...Fine. This shapeshifter's name is Gorzon. He is a being of pure dakrness that can change his own shape at will. Sometimes he's a human, other times he's a black cat, and other times still he's a Pokemon. Regardless of the form he takes, one thing is clear: He is capable of using Dark Mana." Octograpple said. "He also seeks to turn all mortal beings into his zombie slaves." He added.
"Of course, just one tribe of humans became immune to my zombification magics. That being the Crusade Tribe. So, I simply...wiped them all out. At least I thought I did. Looks like I missed one." Gorzon said.
"What?! But I thought Grand Train was responsible." Crusader said.
"Oh he was the one that ordered me to do so in the name of the Dark Master that he served. But I was going to kill all of your kind anyways. The screams they gave off as I killed each and every last one of them..." Gorzon's grin not only split his face, but was morbidly creepy and sickening. "...Well let's just say I enjoyed it. A lot~" He added.
"Y-you...how could you?! How could you just murder an entire tribe of people?! You...your sick." Aaron said.
"Sick is an understatement. This is a monster." Octograpple said.
"Why thank you for the compliment." Gorzon said, keeping his face splitting creepy & morbid grin.
Scootaloo was having her nerves tested. Th-this guy is just pure psychotic. The pegasus filly thought to herself.
"Ugh..." A nearby Dark Tribe member was coming to.
"...Tch. And now look. That foreman of this factory is coming to because you wasted so much time." Gorzon said. "Only one thing left to do now." He added before he suddenly hit a nearby self-destruct button. "Oh, and just for your information, Octograpple there is a Triator of the Dark Tribe. Just thought I'd like to bring it up before I left. Mark my words: You haven't seen the last of me." Gorzon said before he left the building.
"...Dark Tribe Traitor...but...then that would mean..." Crusader was putting the pieces in his head.
"...Guess it's time for this hero to do one last thing." Octograpple said.
"What?" Aaron asked.
"You won't have enough time to get everyone that's not the foreman." Octograpple then contained the Foreman and himself in his grapple cables. "Go!" The hero yelled.
"...I...think I can see...where a certain other hero gets his heroics from." Crusader said as the group started to escort the normal Dark Tribe members out of the factory. "...May the judgement of the Fates have mercy on your soul, old man." Crusader said before he too left.
"...Heh. Looks like he figured it out. How ironic..." Octograpple said. He smiled. "Still, it'd be better...if my son never got to realize who I really was to him." The old man said before closing his eyes.
The group was clear enough of the factory, just before it blew up. "...Crusader, what did you mean when you said that you can see where a certain other hero got his heroics from?" Aaron asked.
"...If you don't get it now, you never will." Crusader said.
Scootaloo had one idea, but she decided to keep it to herself. Just in case she was wrong.
Author's Note
Yeah this is the part of Gorzon's origins for his lore. And it's pretty darn obvious how twisted this guy is coming out right out of the box forcing one character to make a sacrifice play.
