Icewind took a scrape from a zed's hoof, so we had to amputate his left lower leg. Nasty buisness. Walking along the perimeter, i saw some zombies try and taunt us, some doing obecne gestures. They lived in fear of our fort though. Thank Celestia for that. The new recruits were doing well, Scootaloo epecially under Dash's couching. Fluttershy was playig some Las Pegasus style poker with Pipsqueak, now 14, Rarity, Cheerilee, and Sorain. Another good thing happened tihs day, the Doo's and Whooves had a third baby girl. You see, the Gallopfreyan Doctor Whooves had married Ditzy Doo and her sister Derpy Hooves. Their first daughter was Dinky Hooves, then they later adopted Sparkler, and now, Emeral Star. But, it is also a sad day. During a scav trip to Canterlot, to check ou the Celestia's Sun huld's clinic, Ace had sacraficed himself to save not only a family of 4, but Apple Bloom and Rainbow Dash. Thankfully, a small group, consisting of Fancy Pants, Vinyl Scratch, Octavia, and Shooting Star, a buffalo, had been on a recon mission. Once they had seen what had befalen Appleloosa, then ran to us for help. Storming Appleloosa would be suicide, as there would be over 200 citzens that might have been turned, 425 zombies, and according to their reports, atleast 17 buffalo. Those odds werent good. Also, it turns out one of those killed by the zed's was Vinyl's brother, Mixer. He was taken out trying to defend a family of 4, who had also mangaged to escape, except the father, who had stayed behind with Mixer to hold off the group of 22 zeds that had come for them. They retreated to Money Marketer, the father's house. Heart was taken down by the zed version of his mother, Apple Sapling. Then, the zeds forced their way into the home, Mixer fought bravely, but it as no use. We all said a prayer for Mixer, he would be remembered as a hero. The family, minues one, he had rescued, had made it to our fort, we gave them shelter and a place to stay, alongside treating their injuries. The mother, Seastone, was fishermare by trade, goig out to Salt Lake to catch few herring or so. Her husband had been an accountant and part time salespony. They had to fillies, Dumpling, and Prism. A very nice family. A scouting/scavenging party consisting of Lyra, Cadence, my sister-in-law, and Caramel returned later that day, when Celestia had lowered the sun to about midday. They had come back with some food (Boxes of haygetti and a few cans of sardines), some clothes from a clothing shop in Canterlot, a hefty bag of bits, and a DVD, The Road to El Porado, one of my favorite movies. We all watched a copy of I Am Pony, a movie about an Earth Pony, who lived a life somewhat like how we ere. We laughed at all of his jokes, and cryed especially when he had to put down his dog. After that, my beautiful Luna raised her moon and night, showering us in wonderous stars. We snuggled up together in my bed, as the night drew on to another day. The stallion, a unicorn named Patch Up Jr, said, getting up. Lyra suported him as we looted the store for what medicine remained. We found some painkillers, laxatives, antibotics, etc. We took all of these, the fort might them. Handing Patch Up a spare lead pipe Rarity had, we left the store. A few minutes after we left the store, heading down Mane Street, Lyra stopped us, saying "Wait. Do you hear that?" We listened. That's when we heard it. The sound of atleast 50 Zeds, all closing into our position. "Hostiles! Move!" I yelled, as multiple Zeds burst into the street. I fired both magic and bullets at the incoming horde, bringing down some. A few charged at Lyra, who threw one, an Earth Pony, at several Unicorns, sending them into a concrete wall, and delivered a swift WHACK to the heads of two Zeds, Pegasi, whose heads exploded into a pulpy mess, sending them to their knees, before they fell. After a few minutes, we had downed them all. I had wasted only half a clip of my M-16 Carbine, and had two and a half more in my saddlebag. Before we could celebrate, we heard the groans of several more zombies, possibly scouts. "Inside, quickly!" Patch Up whispered, as we ran into the closest house, a two story, wide. As we hastily entered, Rarity locked the door, then proceeded to barricade it with a few chairs. "Good, we should be safe in here. Where is here anyway?" Caramel asked. Looking around, i noticed a family crest hanging over the mantle of the fireplace, a family mantle I knew. It showed a golden Unicorn pony, rearing up, the background were 4 squares, rose, cyan, emerald, and charcoal gray. "This house belonged to the Aurum family! Their son and daughter, Night Aurum and Silverite Aurum wnet to school with me at Celestia's school for the gifted unicrons!" I said, looking around with the others for supplies. Checking in Night, their daughter's room, judging by the nameplate, i found a dusty tome, a journal perhaps, on a nightstand by her bed. Picking it up, i began to read from the last few entries.. Solaria 4th, 542, 7:55 PM. Dear Journal,, we've done it. Silverite and I have deciphered grandfather's Ponynomicon. We've found a spell that will allow us to raise an army of the undead, to topple Celestia and Luna, and to bring true peace to the world. We shall bring back Nightmare Moon, and the Eternal Night shall begin again. The Lunar Order will ascend to power. Silverite and I have decided to commence the spell in the center of Canterlot, tonight, midnight. Long Live The Eternal Night! Solaria 5th, 542, 12:01 PM. It worked! The spell has been worked! It had been a little over 2 months since we had found some new books, this would be good, and a couple flashlights. I put the box down. Rummagin around through so more boxes, i found some bags of trailmix, a bag of chocolate, a few DVDs, some 10mm ammo, a couple of pants, and a sack containing 75 bits. After rummaging around the various boxes, cabinets, and containers, we met up. Pinkie had found some more .50 ammo, a boxload of batteries, a few DVDs, and some snack cakes. SPike had found several hunting knives, a few cups of ramen, 5 bottles of water, and another watch. Flutterhsy had found some more clothes, a double barreled shotgun, 2 bottles of painkillers, some fish, and a couple of flashlights. Getting up, e decided to head home. Upon exiting the store, we ecountered a small group of zeds, 4 to our three. Rasing our weapons, they attacked. One tried lunging at luttershy, who blew its arm off with her 12 guage, then bucking it in the face. Pinki stabbed one, then pushed it into Spike bat, who bashed its face in. I picked one up with my magic, tossing it into Flutterhy's katana, while slicing one in half. Oh, i forgot to tell you abput my gear. I had a schimtar, a Whiinychester hunting rifle, and a couple of flares. I was dressed in a long brown overcaot, and a magic-proof vest, as some of the zeds were unicorns. Dusting oursleves off, we lotted the zeds bodies, nothing much, just some bits and a few nails. We ventured back to the compound north of Ponyville, at the base of Mount Ponylympus. Everyone cheered when we got back, and as we shared our supplies. Luna kissed me, and i returning the favor. To celebrate our good fortune, we heald a feast of baked beans, onions, bread, and some cider. As we ate the hearty meal, we chose to watch one of the DVDs of a Ponyma screen TV we had found in an appliance store in Canterlot. The movie we decided to watch was Watchponies, which brought smiles to our faces, to have some entertainment besides Zed Hunting Tuesday. After the movie ended, Luna and I retreated to my room, here we fell asleep, cuddling eachother. It was a wonderful day, and hopefully, an een better one tommorrow
