“I had a few changes made.” She smiled while closing the door. Dusk nodded while he let out a groan.

“It sucks that our clothes got burned away cause I’d like to have a good change right about now.” Looking over to his roughed-up suit.

“I’ll have someone come over and bring us some new clothes for now. I think you should get comfortable. We had a rough day.” She smirked, closing the door behind her. The sound of the door clicking. The sign reading, do not disturb, was placed there if anyone walked by. Swaying back and forth. As she moved into, her husband.

She walked over, caressing his cheek as she muttered,

“Now that all this excitement is over. The party is done, so now it’s just you and me.” She blew into his ear, causing the young man to shudder. As she moved down. Her fingers went down his shirt as they slowly began unraveling, vanishing from sight as he sat there naked and exposed to the world.

“Hmm, will you look at that? Someone seems to be excited to see me.” She reached down, grabbing his member. Her firm hand gripped it while she licked his ear. Giving it a good squeeze, Dusk couldn’t help finding that his cock hardened from the attention. The way she moved up and down the base of his member. Slowly giving it the attention it hadn’t gotten for a week as he groaned,

“Woah, careful there.” He grunted while Sombra smirked, an almost sadistic turn on her face. She looked at his cock, licking her lips,

“Why? Is your dick extra sensitive?” Sombra smirked, taking control as she moved in, kissing his neck and squeezing his member harder. It hurt, yet simultaneously, it felt so amazing as she dragged, twisting her hand and rolling it on the head of his penis as she moved down quicker, really pumping his shaft. Dusk found himself letting out another grunt. As she began to move around straddling him. Her body pressed against him as she moved in, kissing his lips softly and muttering,

“You may kiss your Goddess.” She moaned, her arms wrapping around him while they held onto each other. Dusk, unable to resist, did so, returning the kiss. While he felt his hard cock pushing between her ass cheeks. Their lips meeting as they moved against each other. Her tongue pressing against his lips. His mouth opening letting her in as he felt her tongue wiggling into his mouth. A long moan as she moved it against him. A slow passion, while Dusk reached around rubbing her rump. Her asscheeks felt soft, and plump as he couldn’t help giving it a firm smack. Sombra moaned gently as she looked at him, licking her lips.

“Someones getting cocky now isn’t he.” She muttered grinding against his dick. Making him groan. It felt so, good.

“I mean, I’ve got to pleasure a Goddess, so there’s a little bit of pressure.” He joked, while Sombra licked her lips in agreement.

“Why yes, pleasuring a goddess, you’ve got so much to do.” She spoke to him in the calm tone, as she moved in pressing her chest against him her arms wrapping around as she whispered in his ear,

“Relax, and imagine it’s just the two of us, right now.” She moaned as she lifted her hips. Dusk could feel this tip of his penis pushing against her entrance the slow long move as she rocked against it, as she moaned more. As Dusk could feel soft sparks running down his body as she plunged down on him. His member sinking deep within him, as he let out a hard gasp.

“So hot, R-Sombra!” He muttered while he found his hips bucking in response, as she sat there straddling his cock, as she let him adjust to her warmth. Her hips grinding against him. Unable to resist as she licked her lips whispering,

“Hmm so thick, if you want I can make you far bigger.” She teased bitting on the bottom part of his ear as he groaned,

“Holy, fuck you can?” He muttered as he found himself already overwhelmed, sure the young man had fucked a few people, but this. It was on a whole other level, as he wanted to move, he wanted to take her, as she giggled,

“I can do as I please, While the other American gods are limited to their branches but as their leader, I have special perks.” She cooed into his ear as Dusk could feel spark running through his body as he found himself pushed back. Laying on the bed looking up to the angel— No this goddess who rolled her hips.

“I’m the first of the American gods so I’m privileged with many things.” She moaned as she lifted herself up pushing up while her hands reached down holding his chest as she let him watch his cock leaving her warm pussy. Only the tip of his cock left inside her. Before she moved down again, a hard grunt.

“Oh… crap, you feel so…” He moaned hard as she repeated the process grinding her hips as she wrapped her arms around his neck. The way she moved faster, as she let out a soft moan. Dusk reached around grabbing her plump ass, gripping it right as he held onto the goddess for dear life. The way she bounced on him causing the bed to rock back. As he gripped harder.

“Thats it baby, just keep fucking me like that.” She moaned as she rolled her hips as she brought her lips to his, as he bounced faster. Moaning hard, Dusk finding his stomach twisting, a fire burning in him as he kept moving his hips meeting her half way. The room felt hot, the way she rode him, Dusk kept going, his hips pounding, feeling overwhelmed with want and desire. As he slapped her ass, the sound of her cheeks clapping, as Sombra cried out in lustful desire.

“Sombra, Sombra, holy fuck!” was all Dusk found himself exclaiming his mind off in a far off galaxy consumed by lustful want, as he felt Sombra pushing him down, his back against the bed, as she leaned in. Her hands on his chest pushing him down, it was like she was pushing all the air out of him as he couldn’t hold back. His balls tightening up as he found himself shooting his load into her.

“Fuck!” he spoke out in a hefty dry voice, as she pushed down on his chest with great force. While she screamed out in orgasmic bliss.

“Thats right! Cum in your goddess, fill her with your sacred seed!” She moaned out. Dusk couldn’t help it, feeling him unleash his load, as he growled in such a way, as he felt his member drained, of every ounce. A hard puff as he found himself collapsing down on the ground.

“Holy crap… That was amazing.” He muttered as he felt his cock squeezed by her pussy, the way she held onto him as Sombra leaned in kissing his cheek, and the corner of his lip.

“Hmm that was amazing.” She moaned out as she caressed his side. Dusk laid there. He found his heart racing as he couldn’t believe how it went, the sex, was quiet something. He couldn’t remember he had sex as good as this, as he realized he just came inside her.

“Oh shit, um, is it safe for me to cum in you? I’m not ready to become a dad or anything.” He muttered finding himself pushing himself up. But Sombra giggled as she moved over shushing him, her finger over his lips.

“Relax, I’m not going to become pregnant that easily, It takes a good few tries before a Goddess like myself even can get knocked up. Beside, I was prepared, till we’re ready you’ll simply be firing blanks.” She winked as she moved in licking his lips. As she whispered into his ear.

“So relax, and enjoy yourself, cause we’ve got all the time in the world.” She moaned into his ear. Dusk only nodded understanding what she said as she moved on rubbing against him. Though as he laid there, the goddess of war rubbing against him.

Dusk found himself thinking, Who would be trying to kill me? It was a weird thing but something he imagined he would talk to Sombra in the morning, but soon, He found himself overwhelmed with fatigue as he soon.

The next day Dusk Moon found himself waking up. His head hurt as he pulled himself out of bed,

“Gah, my head. What did I drink?” he mumbled, barely noticing his surroundings as he walked to the bathroom. Dusk let out a hard groan as he felt the burning light. His fingers fumbled around, searching for the light switch as he turned it on.

“Gah, bright light, bright light.” He muttered while he took a moment adjusting as he looked at himself. His hair was wild and all over the place. His neck was covered in light marks, though he imagined they might have been hickeys.

“I think I overdid it last night.” He grumbled, trying his best to remember what happened when he felt a pair of arms wrapping around him.

“Oh, you did quite a bit, my dear husband.” Moaned the soft feminine voice as he found himself looking into the mirror. Sombra had appeared out of nowhere as she moved, caressing his chest. The gold banned shimmered around her ring finger as Dusk nodded,

“So, what are the plans for today? Spend time in the hot tub? Maybe see some sights, or just back in bed all day.” He found himself smiling at her. If they were going to be married, he might as well make it work out to the best of his abilities. Sombra shook her head,

“As much as I would love nothing more than to do that. I have certain duties I must follow; a Goddess’s job is never done.” She smirked while she moved around, groping his member. His dick responded accordingly.

“But No worry, I’ve set it up so you can enjoy yourself until I return.” She moved, kissing his neck as she mumbled, “So be a good boy and enjoy yourself; I’ll be gone for at least a few hours.” She moved over, caressing his side as she licked her lips. Sombra moved back for a second when they heard a knocking on the door. She became more annoyed as she walked out of the bathroom, opening their hotel door.

“Yes? What do you need.” Her voice turned from the sultry mistress to the hardened boss. The man standing there was hunched over, reminding him of a skinny man wearing a trench coat. At the same time, he rubbed his sizeable red nose as he spoke up.

“I got some of the information you wanted, boss.”

“Thank you, Richard; come in then.” She opened the door, her fingers snapping as she was no longer in the white robe. A fine suit appeared over her. Her red tie was well-worn as she brushed her hair back. Dusk found himself walking in wearing a pair of sweatpants at this point, finding himself more curious.

“Dusk, this is Richard, American God of Investigation. If something happens, we send him in.” She muttered while Richard sat down.

“I also write some mysteries on the side, though no one notices….” He muttered, almost disappointed. Richard brought out some papers. “But that’s not the point; we looked over the Limo as you requested, and yes, it was a bomb set off to create Greek fire.”

He moved over, showing photos of the limo and, under the burnt mess, a small device attached to the gas tank. Sombra watched him,

“Is there anything else, like who it might be?”

“Afraid not, whoever did this was clever, as there isn’t any divine energy or fingerprints, so whoever planted it might have had a mortal do it for them so they wouldn’t be noticed,” Richard said. At the same time, he brought out a few papers while he added up.

“Nothing much, it’s a standard bomb, but we can suspect it might be a war god, who might have made it but the pantheon. Not sure since there are plenty that might know how to make it.

Dusk found himself looking over, raising an eyebrow,

“What about that one guy? You know, the one who came over to dinner that one night. He seemed pissed about us being married.” He had a bad feeling about the guy but wondered if there was a chance that could work. Sombra moved her hand.

“I suspect it might be him; the issue is that Greek fire is common knowledge among War gods; Greek gods do know it. The issue is motive. Blueblood isn’t stupid. He would know we would suspect it was him. So why risk getting caught? No, this has to be someone else. I’ve made a lot of enemies in the past; Blueblood isn’t the first.” Sombra moved over as she examined some of the photos. Dusk nodded while rubbing the back of his head.

“Oh, my bad, I just assumed.” Somehow he felt more like an idiot now than ever before while Sombra looked at him with that gentle smile as she pulled herself away and rubbed his cheek.

“Listen, it’s not a problem. I have my suspicions and would have suspected it was him. The guy’s shifty, heck I still have him on my lists, but I can’t just blame him….” She found herself sighing. “I swear drama between the gods is the most annoying thing you’ll ever have to deal with, worst than politics.”

Richard sat there for a minute watching,

“Um, boss, can I leave? I’ve got to work on a few other things, and there’s a homicide where the detectives need me to lead them on the right track.” He spoke up, rubbing his red nose, his eyes shifting around, clearly nervous while trying to see what was happening.

“Go, Richard; just notify us if you find anything else.” The Red nose God nodded as he grabbed his papers and shoved them back in his coat; he moved over, giving a slouched bend as he walked out the door, somehow making himself look minuscule and unseen. When he left the honeymoon suit, Dusk almost forgot about the man- or God.

Sombra let out a long sigh, moving around as she grabbed the papers Richard left.

“Still at square one, But we’ll get some leads,” Sombra muttered, the frustration hidden behind those brown eyes. Long-standing, she looked at the time. Dusk nodded.

“Plenty of times; not like it will be the death of me, right.” He found himself feeling cringing at the choice of words. Sombra smirked while she kept an eye on the time but imagined she had enough time as she sat down.

“So Dusk, tell me what you enjoy doing?” The light in her eyes as she sat on the bed, crossing her legs at that point. Dusk looked at her for half a second. Not sure what he could say.

“I mean, I’ve got a few things I enjoy doing.” He muttered while he thought back. It was something that Dusk thought was funny if he just brought it up. It would be simple. But the fact that she asked him, his mind drew a blank for a good minute. Sombra smiled as she seemed to wait for his answer with great patience.

“I enjoy music, mostly, and reading, cars.” He remembered how he hoped to restore a few classics one day. Well, if he could, he never had the money to afford to do it during his stint and dating Rarity. He had doubts he would have the means to do it.

“Hmm, That’s Interesting, Though I’m sure I could pull in some favors. Especially if you like cars.” She moved in, licking her lips.

“I know the God of Automobiles, and I’m sure he’d love to do something for you.” She chuckled, more so as it reminded Dusk of a sugar momma. It made his stomach turn not like that.

“I don’t think I can take that offer.” He spoke, his heart pounding. Sombra watched him, eyeing him with curiosity. She tilted her head, almost like she was thinking about something.

“Oh, and why’s that?”

“Well, it just wouldn’t be right. I mean… I wouldn’t want you to feel like I’m using you.” Dusk mutters, how everything overwhelmed him while he looks toward the goddess. Who only gave him a wide smirk.

“Hmm, that is quite interesting; alright though, if you need any fun. Just let me know, baby.” She leaned in, kissing his neck, her finger circling his chest as she moved back, turning her body as she held her hand up, snapping her fingers.

“I’ll see you later; please enjoy yourself, baby.” She muttered as she turned to the door walking out. Dusk would watch her for a good minute as he sat there. He was wondering what she was going to be doing. Such an idea. He could only imagine what a Goddess of Strength and War could do on her time at work.

He was distracted when he turned over, looking at his phone. The way it rested on the side desk. He could feel his curiosity running over him as he got up and grabbed it. His fingers went over the screen while he pulled Facebook up. It requested him to log in before he continued, and he was just about to when he realized something.

“They think I’m dead….” The realization hit him, his family thinking he had left this world, and somehow it hurt him as he realized this type of thing. “What was I thinking? It’s not like I can call them up and go. Hi Mom, My death was exaggerated; I’m not dead. I just got married after I found out Rarity cheated on me.” Dusk sighed, sitting back on the heart-shaped bed, the long quiet moment as he thought about what to do.

Then there was the curious moment where he wondered what his family was doing. So he decided to compromise; as he moved in and started making a new Facebook and making up a name, he went with the name Jack Smith. He made a semi-fake profile picture and started moving over, friending some of his family members. He stopped for a second when he saw Rarity’s profile. His finger hesitated on the friend request. He found himself pausing there, wondering if that was a good idea.

Then there was the temptation of what she might be doing as he reached over, hitting her profile. Dusk remembered all the times he suggested she put it on private, but she never did. As he moved over, looking over to see what Rarity was doing. His mind was racing while he looked over her profile.

He looked at it and somehow felt his blood boiling, the rag running over his face, while he saw that she had been at his ‘funeral’ The way she wore black, looking sad, crying, while Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash was there. Dusk could feel his blood boiling at this point. The fact she brought the person who cheated on him to his funeral somehow pissed Dusk off more, as she spoke about how she missed him and couldn’t believe he did that to himself.

“That bitch!” He spoke out as he threw the phone right out the window. He could hear the wind whistling as it was thrown out with a light thump.

“Fuck!” He muttered, instantly regretting what he did. Dusk found himself leaving the hotel, grabbing his key card before leaving as he descended the stairs. Everything about the situation frustrated him. The worst part was he didn’t know why he was so mad. He should have been over it. He should have left it be. But the fact he saw that picture. The way she had her arm around that other man’s arms boiled his blood even more.

He was lost in his thoughts as he walked out of the hotel room. Dusk looked around for his phone, spending ten minutes keeping his eyes out when he saw it.

“There, well, it doesn’t look too bad.” He muttered, looking over the phone. Probably one of the last remaining objects from his old life. A time before he knew that Gods were real. A Time when he didn’t have to think about a cheating girlfriend or someone trying to blow him up. A simple time, a simple life.

Dusk looked at the screen. It was okay, though; at the very least, there was a heavy scratch. He couldn’t help but consider himself lucky at this point, it could have been far worst, and the fact it still turned on and worked was a big plus. He opened the screen and saw Rarity’s page, as he let out a long sigh and closed it.

“I’ve got to let this go; it’s the past; I shouldn’t be focused on it.” Little did Dusk know it would be far more complicated for him to let it go in the future. He put his phone in his pocket and headed back inside the hotel. Yet before he turned around, he found himself seeing something.

He saw a humanoid figure in black standing in the distance, watching him. He stared at it for a good minute. Dusk wondered what it might have been. The figure didn’t seem to move, just simply watching him. Dusk could feel his back tingling at this point while stepping away. His eyes were not leaving such a thing as he headed back into the hotel.

Sombra walked down the long untraveled route through the great abyss while reviewing her day’s list. Sombra let out a long sigh as she could feel her divine energy running through her. The power of the cosmos surrounded her as she walked down this world and began her sacred duty.

The portal slowly opened as she stepped through; she was standing in front of the wreckage, Cars piling up as she looked over to find who she needed help. People were screaming, struggling, and moving around when she heard her like a psychic. Calling her as she passed, the world did not notice or even acknowledge her will on the mortals around her as she saw her first client. A mother, looking at her daughter locked in the car, trapped inside it as a part of it was on fire. At the same time, The woman screamed for help. She called while trying to save the little one with all her might.

“Don’t worry; you’ll save her.” Sombra bent over, whispering into the mother’s ear. The soft, caring voice as she moved, caressing her shoulder. At the same time, the woman was slamming her hand into the window. She might have broken her hand instead of the window if she kept going.

“Look over there; that should help open the door,” Sombra whispered, pointing out the long poll. That mother suddenly found the urge to look over to the side as she saw it and ran over, grabbing it. Running over as she took it and started to pry, the door opened. Her fingers burned as the metal was hot. Yet somehow, that mother ignored the pain as she found the strength to pry open the door and reach to get her little girl out of the vehicle. The two hold each other in an embrace while. Sombra turned around, vanishing as if she had never been there before.

She continued walking off as if going through space and time. As she moved through time and space. She was finding her next client. She took a long deep breath as she prepared for what happened next.

Then she found herself standing in the middle of the forest. It was a night as she walked through there in silence. Curious about why she might need to be here. When she heard screaming, the need for help, with the light of fire coming around, illuminated her. When she walked over, seeing it.

A group of men in white sheets stood there, each watching a poor black boy with a rope around his neck. The fear in his eyes, as if he knew he was about to die. The cowards are watching him. The black holes in those white sheets made them look more like monsters as Sombra watched, nearly disgusted, while one of the figures spoke up.

“Tonight, we show the strength in our race as we take this dirty creature who feels he can be with our kind!” He spoke in a growling voice, the hatred in his voice. A true monster. As it demanded that they show strength. But Sombra watched in disgust as all she saw were weak men. Those who hid behind sheets would go off to their everyday lives. Indeed something she despised more than anything.

Yet why was she here? This made Sombra curious as she looked over. The young boy was afraid. He needed her strength. She needed the will to escape, but he wasn’t her target. However, it's when her attention turns to one of the people on the white sheet. This made her curious. Why was it that he needed her strength? She moved over and reached, grabbing his hand.

The figure in white wouldn’t notice as she read in mind, looked into his soul, and saw it… saw everything.

The person behind the cloak's name was William Watt. A young boy who was in over his head, wrapped in the anger, of feeling lost, of feeling alone, and pulled into it. He felt sick, and he wanted to stop this and do something to help the man at the end of the rope. He didn’t have the strength to freeze in fear. But now that he saw what he was about to do…

Sombra watched and smirked, licking her lips as she imagined that maybe something could change this night.

The coward in the white sheet giving his monstrous speech of preserving the bloodlines of their race droned on while Sombra whispered in the young man’s voice whose very soul might be saved.

“This isn’t right; you know that.” She whispered, the sweet calmness in her voice preserving it as she spoke like a lover, a family. “They are wrong, but you can save him. Do some good in this world, Don’t let them kill that boy.” She muttered as she reached down from the other man’s pockets, pulling out a gun and slowly placing it in the young man’s hand.

“Do what's right; save your soul and his.” She exclaimed while she moved, caressing his cheek under the white robe. The man seemed to stutter lightly, like he acknowledged Sombra speaking in a soft tone,

“Are you my conscious?” He was simple for a second while Sombra smirked, whispering.

“Yes, now go in there, and save that young man.”

Without warning, the nameless man pulled his sheet off his face. An average-looking man who looked to be around twenty as he brought the gun out. His hand raised as he fired the shot at the coward giving his speech, firing the gun. The bullet flew through the air as he ran up and helped the black man out of the noose.

“Get out of here!” he called out, watching the black man as he pushed him off.

Sombra smirked, watching as the young black man pushed himself off and ran from the scene.

Though Sombra was about to leave, she looked at the young man holding the gun as the others ran at him. Behind the young man was the Goddess of Death and lust, Cadence, The sad look on the death Goddess’s face.

Sombra’s job here was done as she continued her duties, helping those who needed her help. She didn’t know who they were, but she moved on to helping those nameless people who needed the strength to do the right thing, to fight for something. Men, women, children, it didn’t matter; if someone needed the strength and will, she was there.

Sombra found herself moving over, going to one of her past clients. She saw someone standing in front of a bridge. The misery on their face. The look of hopelessness as they looked off into the distance, as Sombra knew this was who needed her the most. A young man was barely there as he held the edge of the bridge.

Tears ran down the young man’s face as he looked over the edge. The silence on his face as Sombra reached over, running her hand down his shoulder. She looked into his past.

His name was Trouble shoe, around the age of twenty-five, and he found himself here as he felt his soul crushed and lost. If anything, it all began when a drunk driver hit his pregnant wife. His life only seemed to go down from there; for Trouble Shoe, nothing was left for him, and Sombra thought for the young man. As she moved, she patted his shoulder.

Trouble Shoe found himself stopping right there, turning around as he saw Sombra. She stood there with a light smile,

“Hey, are you okay?” She said in a friendly voice. Trouble Shoe looked at her for a good second.

“Um… Yeah.” He lied while his hand gripped the edge of the bridge, while Sombra gave him a gentle smile,

“Um, I hate to ask, but is there any way you could give me a hand?” She spoke carefully while adding more divine energy, enticing him to want to come and help.

“What the matter?” Trouble shoe asked as he felt his fingers slacking off.

“Well, my car broke down just a bit from here, and I was wondering if you could give me a hand?” Sombra spoke, her hands holding together while she swayed back and forth. She was trying to bring him over, away from the edge of the bridge.

Trouble Shoe watched her for a second; the way she looked small and needed help.

“Um, no problem. I guess I can help.” He moved, following the young-looking woman who looked like she needed help. Trouble Shoe imagined after helping her; he could always come back there. He moved away from the bridge for the time.

Trouble Shoe followed behind her for a minute as they seemed to head off the bridge.

“So, what happened.”

“Well, I have no idea one minute, I’m like driving, and the next thing I knew, my car went out.”

“It sounds like the battery. Maybe need a kick start.” Trouble Shoe said while watching the woman.

“Maybe, though it’s been a rough year, I probably haven’t been able to get stuff like this check.”

“Huh, Yeah, I guess I know what you mean. Times are rough.” He moved onward, following behind the woman; somehow, there was something strange about her, but he shook his head. He figured it might have just been his mood while he moved on.

“It’s times like that when you need to keep going even in the roughest times.” The woman spoke while Trouble Shoe heard her. The way she talked caught him more as he nodded,

“Yeah, you’re right. I mean… sometimes you have to keep going.” His heart hurt thinking back to what happened to him and the people he lost; as he felt his eyes stinging, he wanted to cry. He tried to say something. But he just kept it in.

“That's fair, oh um, my cars here.” She moved over, showing it, while Trouble Shoe nodded, barely realizing they had walked so far that he was away from the bridge. He moved over and found himself looking at the car. It was a Nissan; not surprising those things always ran like shit.

“Hey, Mind putting the hood up.” Though when he turned around, he saw she was gone. Trouble Shoe stopped, more confused,

“What the… Where did she?” He felt confused when he saw a small card in his hand that read.

Sometimes we all need a little bit of help. Just give this number a call. Life is worth living. He stared at it, turning the card around and seeing a number, as he wasn’t sure how to feel.

“I… What in the world?” He found himself more confused as he saw himself walking down the road. He came to realize he wasn’t that far from his car. He decided that maybe tonight wasn’t the night, and he needed to get some sleep. It takes some time to think things out. In contrast, he moved over, slipping the card into his back pocket.

It would be a night he would tell his people for a long time. The night he met somehow had met a ghost. Though he wondered in his heart if it was actually something else.

-000-

Sombra walked down the bath, a long sigh as she headed back to the hotel, thinking about that last client. A part of her hoped that he took the card and would call the person to get their needed help.

She may be a God, but her control wasn’t absolute; they could always change their minds. Do something different. That was the thing about mortals. They sometimes confused the Gods; they did things they wouldn’t see coming.

Though, that case had her thinking about Dusk. The way this man was about to end himself over the loss of a loved one, while Dusk had been pushed to the same point, a broken heart, the feeling of being hurt. It was something Sombra couldn’t understand. But in some ways, she hoped that she might one day understand. However, it caused her to wonder. Who had been trying to kill Dusk?

“It might be Blueblood, but…” She found herself kicking herself.

She fully suspected it was that god. A selfish god, if anything could be said. It frustrated her seeing someone like that, such an entitled little prick. She even remembers the day that Zeus came to her, telling her how that moron Liesmith had somehow come back from the dead and killed Apollo to take his power.

To say she hadn’t wanted to tear her hair out had really pissed her off. While she moved around rubbing her temple.

“If that fucked returned, I’m gonna just behead him myself.” She groaned, knowing that it was her pantheon’s fault and she had to make it up. But the idea that she was close to marrying Blueblood had disgusted her even more. The fact that Zeus wanted an alliance and thought that this would lead to it her marrying a minor god of War, and her pumping out a kid.

She had rejected this, she had told Zeus she’d instead have gone to war, then deal with that spoiled god. Though simultaneously, she imagined that Zeus would have gotten the other gods on his side, and she didn’t want to risk a war between all of them. So she had brought up the deal, providing them a replacement child, but she got to choose her husband.

“Did I make the right choice?” Sombra found herself asking, as she thought back at Dusk, she felt a spring of guilt, as if she was using the mortal for her selfish gain. But was it really what he wanted? She imagined that she would need to speak to him—something, but only when the time came.

Yet she was desperate, The king of the Greek Gods had given her three months to find a husband, and she was running out of time. She had looked over her own pantheon but found none for her standards. Though this month, she had been close to picking one of them.

Yet it was when she had found herself at work; she saw Dusk, seeing how he was pushed to the edge as he jumped. She had almost screwed it up, as he fell. Yet, it was when he hit that flag pole and pulled himself up, screaming for help. The strength he had was wanting to live. To exist, something had sparked a fire in her.

I’ll save you if you do something for me. It was what she said, and she gave him the option. Marry me, or die. However, this could only make her wonder if she made the right choice. Taking away his own free will by hand-stringing her, but she shook her head.

“No, he would have died, and It’s my duty to protect mortals; I’m the Goddess of strength and War.” Which made her think. War, right, but how long have you made a war… a real war? Sure, you draw power on what America declares war on, War on poverty, war on terror, and drugs…. But we haven’t been in the kind of war we were created.

Sombra thought about it, but overall imagined it was a good thing; a War deity’s duty is not to cause the chaotic form of war but to bring the tides for their people. To protect them, to bring the feeling of victory. A war god did not love war, and they are born from it, needed for it. She was a Goddess of War made to bring freedom for the people of this nation. For freedom, the war had to be forged. To give them a fighting chance.

She was lost in thoughts as she walked through the abyss, as her time was up.
