After returning from her banishment on the moon, Nightmare Moon seeks to finish what she started a thousand years prior. Using her training to her advantage she confronts her tormenter Princess Celestia only to fall at the hooves of the Elements of Harmony. With her once great form gone, she seeks out to find what her new world has to offer and find the one she lost.

Can this mare of the moon find her beloved sun? Only time will tell.

Although the first arc of this story mainly focuses on this version of Nightmare Moon in her final moments in Equestria covering chapters 1-7, the main focus of this story will be about her in the Equestria Girl's universe. This story is an Equestria Girl's story first and an MLP:FiM second.
