This a brief speech that Zalathel Zarca made addressing the anti-zebra xenophobic attacks on Colthaginians living in Equestria, and three days after Hanno Eshzumnazar’s shop had been attacked by a anti-zebra pony mob.

“Zebras! And all creatures of the Colthaginian Republic! The other day I received news of one Hanno Eshumnazar, being harassed in Equestria for simply being a zebra. Unfortunately my fellow citizens he is but one of many that has experienced such a thing.

Does this sound Harmonic to you? Surely the one’s who espouse such principles would have the decency to maintain its oh so righteous morals of such an ideology. When I hear fellow Colthaginians who’ve nothing to do with this war being harassed, lambasted, and for what? Being a zebra?

They call themselves the land of ‘Friendship’ and ‘Harmony’ yet… I’ve seen no ‘Friendship’ nor ‘Harmony’ for my people, they say Equestria is a Harmonious Union of multiple races under one banner, but what of zebras? In fact I seem to recall the same treatment that befell upon changelings during the Changeling War, it continued even after the end of the war. This highlights the hypocrisy of Equestria, in which Equestrians would say love, friendship, harmony, but when it comes time to test and prove it’s righteousness, time and time again they have have done the opposite.

The horrific treatment of changelings after the war occurred right under Princess Celestia’s nose. I guess being immortal makes one blind to such deeds, but I digress. Moving on as I’ve stated previously zebras are now the targets of Equestria’s xenophobia. To them it matters not if your Colthaginian, Zumidian, Zarantian, among many others. Only that you are a zebra even if your not an Imperial from the Zebrican Empire. All this under Princess Luna’s watch with her tacit approval.

I know that there are Equestrians who aren’t like that, who truly do embody the principles of Equestria. It is thus unfortunate that they are few and far between and many are silent.

It goes without saying that Equestria being the land of Friendship, Harmony, and Tolerance is anything but. All one needs as proof is how changelings had been treated, even after Princess Celestia attended Queen Zagria’s funeral, may her soul rest, and remarked on letting everything be in the past, the ponies of Equestria have differing views from their diarch. The proof is viewing the treatment of zebras, imperials or non-imperials living amongst Equestria.

I implore all Colthaginians living within Equestria to leave at once and return to Colthage. I urge all nations of the world to pressure both belligerents to come and renegotiate an end to this war, though I fear that given past actions by one particular party, we mustn’t give up trying as I fear of the consequences that shall befall upon the world should war continue.

I have said my piece, and remember we will endure this global crisis. Just as we the Colthaginian people have endured past crises!”

*Looks at date* wow, it’s been that long since I posted my last chapter? Man I completely forgot about this story until.

This goes to show that my upload schedule is completely random.

I created this short interlude just to prove that this story is not dead (yet), and that I have resumed work on chapter 10.
