It was a beautiful day in Canterlot City. Applejack, our protagonist, just happened to be on a leisurely stroll through town. This was a regular routine for her during summertime. Not that she hated her family's farm, but it was nice to get away from it all for a little while. Sometimes, she would spot her friend Rainbow Dash zooming through the city, (but not too often, to minimize the effects of their geodes).
She was just walking past the overpass when she suddenly heard the screeching of tires. She turned and saw a car swerving out of control, a family of three inside. The driver attempted to gain control, but swerved too hard and crashed right through the edge of the bridge. The car dangled precariously with the family scared for their lives. Without hesitation, Applejack reached for the geode around her neck and activated it, transforming into her powered-up form, complete with a mask, (after a recent modification by Sunset).
Applejack raced over to the dangling car just as it started to tip over, grabbing it by the rear bumper. The family looked up at the sudden bump and stared at the strange masked girl in shock.
"W-who are you?" asked the father.
"Can't really stop and chat right now" grunted Applejack, straining to hold the car up.
At that moment, the police arrived on the scene.
"Well? Don't jus' stand there lookin' pretty. Git these people outta here!" Applejack strained.
The officers decided not to question her at the moment and reached over and started lifting the mother and daughter out of the vehicle.
But just as the father was being lifted out, the car suddenly tilted all the way over the edge and began to fall! Thinking fast, Applejack let go of the bumper and grabbed the man's left hand with her right hand, letting the car fall into the water below.
"Gotcha, pardner!" Applejack said as she pulled the man back onto the bridge.
The man then embraced his family warmly, while Applejack looked on with a warm smile.
The mother then looked at Applejack and said, "How can we ever thank you?"
Applejack then tipped her hat and said, "Jus' doin' ma job, ma'am." The little girl then ran up to Applejack and hugged her around the legs.
She said, "Thank you for saving my daddy. You're my hero." She then handed Applejack a flower that she had had on her.
Applejack then took it, sniffed it, and said, "Thank ya, sugar." She then bent down and placed the flower behind the girl's ear while saying, "But Ah think it looks a lot prettier on you." The little girl beamed in happiness, then hugged Applejack around the neck.
She then carried the girl back to her parents.
"Well, I best be off." said Applejack as she started to walk away.
"Wait!" said the father. Applejack stopped and turned back to him.
"Who are you?" he asked again.
This time Applejack smiled and said simply, "A friend." She then turned and with a strong push of her legs, jumped off into the distance, satisfied with her good deed for the day.

Now, keep in mind, this is my first story. So, go easy on me, okay? I hope I did Applejack's country accent okay. I might not update too often, but I'll do it when I can, so don't pester me, okay? Anyway, hope you enjoyed this and see ya next time!
Now, Fluttershy wasn't what you call an anti-social person, but if she was honest with herself, she preferred animal interaction over human interaction (besides her friends). It was for this reason today she was doing her volunteer work at the animal clinic. She was currently cleaning out the guinea pigs' cages when she heard a commotion from outside. Her curiosity piqued, she ran outside to see what was going on. She gasped when saw what the commotion was about: the apartment building across the street had caught fire and people were gathered around it.
She then overheard a little boy saying to his mother, "Mommy, Silverstreak's still inside!" Fluttershy gasped in horror at the thought of the poor kitty in pain or worse.
She then reached for the geode around her neck and quickly transformed into her ponied-up form, complete with pegasus wings and a pink mask. She then flew up to the second floor window, observed by the people below.
"Please save Silvy, he's my best friend!" cried the little boy as his mother held him tightly.
Fluttershy looked down below and gave the boy a gentle, reassuring smile before flying inside the building. She landed among the flaming debris, searching for the lost cat.
"Where are you?!" Fluttershy called out while looking around. She then heard, (thanks to her geode power), a cry of, "Help!" "Where are you?!" she called while searching frantically. She then heard frantic meowing coming from a closet nearby. She flew over to it and opened the door to reveal an orange kitten with a silver line down his back.
"Don't worry sweetie. I'll get you out of here." Fluttershy said as she lifted him up into her arms. She then turned around to carry him out, but then suddenly the ceiling caved in and the floor collapsed in front of them. She backed up while holding Silverstreak close to her chest. "What do I do, what do I do?!" panicked Fluttershy. Silverstreak then reached out and pawed at one of her wings. "Oh, right." said Fluttershy, feeling embarrassed for not remembering that she could fly sooner. "Okay, hold on tight, sweetie." she said to Silverstreak, who cuddled close to her chest. She then backed up, preparing to fly over the gap in the floor to reach the window.
Meanwhile, back outside, the crowd was growing anxious. Fluttershy had been inside for two minutes and still hadn't come out yet. The little boy and his mother were the most worried, especially about their cat. Suddenly, the second floor window exploded and they cried out, fearing the worst. Just then, Fluttershy flew out of the flames with her hair a bit singed, but otherwise okay. She landed on the ground with Silverstreak in her arms and walked over to the boy and his mother. "Don't worry, he's okay." she said while handing the kitten to the boy.
"Silvy, you're okay!" the boy said as he cuddled the kitten close to him.
The mother hugged both of them close.
She looked at Fluttershy and said, "Bless you, bless you."
Fluttershy blushed and said, "O-oh, it wasn't that much..." Silverstreak then meowed and reached out to Fluttershy. Fluttershy noticed and took him from the boy. Silverstreak then cuddled close to her chest while purring and uttered a short, "Meow." Due to her geode power, Fluttershy understood he was saying, "My hero." She gasped and slowly smiled while tearing up and hugged him close while saying, "You're welcome."
The crowd d'awed at the sight. Fluttershy then handed the kitten back to the boy and started to walk off.
"Wait!" exclaimed the boy.
Fluttershy turned back to the boy. "Are you an angel?" asked the boy while tilting his head curiously.
Fluttershy blushed, but also smiled coyly and said, "You could say that." With that, she turned and flew off while the crowd applauded her.
"Bye Miss Angel!" called out the boy while waving goodbye. Fluttershy smiled to herself, happy to have helped someone in need.
